I've been here numerous times and experienced really rude and unprofessional service (e.g. I've personally been and seen others be judged and berated at the photo counter when picking up items "late" i.e. within a week or less of placing the order). Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco,and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. I ordered the chocolate shake and the sweet young server told me it wasn't your typical chocolate shake as it was dairy-free, made with soy icecream and oat milk and their own homemade chocolate syrup. I have made multiple appointments over the course of two years at the walk-in clinic section of this specific Walgreens, for different vaccine shots. I made my appointments online, filled out my paperwork (digitally), and selected my time and requested service. The majority of the time when I then showed up for the appointment, the staff in the pharmacy had no idea who I was or why I was there. I always had to fill out the paperwork again. But worse, on many of those occassions I was told the shot wasn't available at all--this happened for different vaccines (a Hep series, a COVID booster, etc.). Why I was allowed to select that vaccine and that time when they didn't have it in stock makes no sense. I understand their stock may be in short supply or running late, but if I make an appointment more than a week in advance for a service your website says is available then take time out of my work day to make my appointment only to be told I need to go home and try again by phone on a future date? At minimum, a text alert or call to let me know I needed to reschedule before the time of my scheduled appointment would be greatly appreciated. The automated system usually texts and emails me 3x+ to remind me, can it not tell me to reschedule? The staff either doesn't have access to their online scheduling and information system or they don't check. On a day I was actually able to get the shot I showed up for, it took another 30 minutes because they had to fill out everything I'd already done online and figure out how to "schedule" a vaccine. I've also gotten stuck on a phone alert from this location telling me a non-existant refill (e.g. a refill for something I don't have a refill for) is available. Note--I went to another Walgreens less than a 20 minute drive from this one, in Nashville, a day after I was unable to get a shot here and having completed the paperwork online and selected a time, I arrived--they printed my forms out, had me sign once, then gave me my requested shot. A week later after receiving calls we had prescriptions ready I arrived in the drive through and they could only find one. I had my infant in the backseat and had already been waiting 10 minutes. The pharmacist proceeded to tell me I had not cackled in a prescription for what I was there to pick up and I only had one ready. The fact of the matter is, I did call and had confirmation the automated order was complete. How is that one took and the other didn't? She explained their system logs every call and she only showed me calling once. Mistakes happen, could you not simply apologize for the confusion and let me know when the missing script will be filled instead of chastising me that I did not call in while my infant is crying and has Brent through out this long unnecessary commentary? I am a frequent supporter of the other big pharmacy brand, but swing in Walgreens when the need aligns with convenience, which is normally this location. My latest visit was after a PT appointment in search of some tape and braces for my elbow. I found what I was after tape wise, and while they had a brace, it was a bit pricier than I was willing to spend. The store, interior and exterior, could use some TLC conditionally. Inside was clean, but the parking lot needs some attention. Service is okay. I wouldn't classify it as friendly, but neither rude. Somewhere along the lines of "meh". Overall, this location is a choice out of convenience. When needed, I don't mind swinging by.
