The Downtown Nashville Walgreens…read more In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.

This location is so convenient if you work in the midtown area near VUMC or Vanderbilt University…read more It's located right on 21st Avenue, right across the stree from the main Vanderbilt campus. I typically drop by here for emergency food needs (if I forgot my lunch-on-the-go or needed to get something for a group, like candy or chocolate). The hours are really pretty long here, so I opt to go here when other places aren't open yet. There's a pharmacy in the back, and I think they do flu shots at this location. Don't be fooled by the small storefront; the store extends within down the length of the building, and you'll get all the amenities of a normal CVS, from different health and beauty supplies to the pharmacists on call. I do think, as with any convenient store like CVS or Walgreens, you pay slightly more than a big box store. However, there are very few stores like this within walking distance, so the price is justified by its location. Pretty standard store, but the staff have always been polite and the aisles well stocked.

This is the most inefficient pharmacy I have ever been to in the entire world. Ever since they…read moreinstalled the self check-in screens at the counter (on which everyone in line behind you can read your full name and date of birth), and have only one cashier "helping" two people at the same time (multitasking does not work -- It is proven), service has been nearly nonexistent, the pharmacist doesn't feel the need to even address you. It is impersonal; but what is worse is that it is incredibly more delayed than it was before. The multitasking is not saving anybody any time . This was a horrible change to make, and I hope they aren't thinking of doing this at their other locations.

I have been to this Walgreens twice. My first experience was wonderful. My second time was…read moredisappointing, as it was closed. Let's get to the positive experience first. This store is super close to the hotel where I'm staying. It takes less than five minutes by car. I came here to get some beverages. I ended up getting a twelve-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper. This store has everything you need. Fake nails? Yep. Shampoo? Sure. Advil? Yes. Sugar-free candy? Definitely. I was in the hair care section. There were two women getting hair dye. One was on the phone and abruptly left. Her offspring had swallowed something toxic, so she told the person on the other line to call 911. The other woman followed suit. I hope that everyone is fine. It was so unexpected to hear. This drugstore had a lot of plushies. It had Disney pride plushies. There were along a bunch of Squishmallows. Everything made me happy. I went to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a man help me. He was friendly. I entered my phone number to take advantage of discounts. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. My second visit was at around 10:40 pm on my birthday. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nothing major. I wanted a snack of some sort. The local Taco Bell was closed. I came to this Walgreens, and it was closed, too. The reason why I was disappointed was that this drugstore is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, according to the sign outside. It shuttered at 10 pm and was scheduled to reopen at 8 am, according to another sign. Bummer. It's a good drugstore. If you do get the munchies late at night, you are better off finding a different place in case it decides to shutter early. (225)

This Walgreens sits in Germantown at very busy intersection of Rosa L Parks and Jefferson, and for…read morethe most part is your standard Walgreens location. I have popped in here on occasion with my latest visit being in search of allergy meds. Upon entry I was greeted by the cashier, headed to the pharmacy section, quickly scooped up my normal and back up front to check out. The same cashier was friendly and helpful. The store is not in the best of condition, but it was clean and the aisles were clear and easily navigable. Overall, standard visit to a Walgreens. I needed something, they had it...no issues with popping back by when needed.

Let me preface this by saying the pharmacy staff here is full of sweet baby angels. As someone who…read morehas found themselves as a self pay patient, this team goes above and beyond to make sure that they help me find discounts to the cost of my medications making them as manageable as possible and I really appreciate that. However, the rest of the Walgreens employees are unbearable at best. DO NOT under any circumstances order photos here. I've had back to back horrifying experiences and after the second one I've realized that it's simply just the negligence of the employees here. The first time my order looked good on my end but mysteriously wasn't received by the store and was never processed. The second time I showed up early, politely checked my ordered was received and waited until my scheduled pick up. I reassured them that I was early and told them not to rush despite the only kind employee on staff offering to print my order with a growing line. When she tried and realized the machine was out of ink, she asked a coworker to assist. I'm not sure where that girl went but she was gone for about 15 minutes. I assume she took her break. From what I could see it looked like she took a look at the machine and just walked outside. When she came back and asked for my name, seemed very confused that I was waiting still and then said she "didn't think they had any ink!" She didn't even check... At this point I've been waiting 15 minutes past my order time and I'm fuming because I've been nothing but nice only to have my time wasted and to now be forced to scramble to finish a project because I counted on Walgreens to finish it. It's constantly like this no matter how nice you are to the staff here, they are rude and borderline refuse to help you.

With the intense Nashville heat and humidity, being without her medication causes severe facial flare-ups and significant discomfort. We cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and professionalism shown by Jarod Juillerat and Susan Gupton. The moment we explained the situation, Jarod immediately took action. He contacted Puerto Rico, coordinated the prescription transfer, and in remarkably little time had everything resolved and the compounded cream prepared. Both Jarod and Susan treated us with genuine compassion, courtesy, urgency, and respect during a very stressful moment for our family. Their willingness to help went far beyond routine customer service. They reminded us that true professionalism in healthcare is not only about technical skill, but also about humanity, empathy, and dedication to patients and their families. As veterans traveling far from home for medical treatment, acts of kindness like this carry enormous meaning. We will always remember the outstanding support we received from them during a difficult time in our lives. Thank you, Jarod Juillerat and Susan Gupton, for your extraordinary service and compassion.

It's rare to walk into a pharmacy where the staff actually remembers you, takes the time to talk through your medications, and catches interactions others might miss.
