I'm gonna go ahead and give this Walgreens the kudos it deserves. I work two blocks up the road from here so am frequently in here for random things, prescriptions, etc. But more importantly, today I got my COVID booster shot at this location. It was busy. It was crowded. It was hectic. Didn't matter because they handled it like pro! Thank you. They were kind to all, calm with everyone, and kept the line moving. The wonderful woman who gave me my booster shot (sorry don't remember the name) was a gem. Fun to chat with, nice, genuinely cared about people. I highly suggest everyone go here for their COVID booster shot. I also highly suggest people go anywhere for their COVID booster shot. Or for their initial COVID vaccine. Not sure what the deal is with this Walgreens, but it always looks as if it's just need looted. Shelves are always bare so rarely can one find what they went in for. Pharmacy rarely has RX's available at the time they tell you they will be ready. Should I find another drugstore? Probably, but this is the closest place to us and I keep hoping they will improve. The Pharmacy is awful - again. They improved slightly for a while, but then tanked once more. They used to be wonderful, but that was about 15 to 20 years ago. I am so glad I don't have sick kids anymore and have to deal with this on a regular basis. Parents who are just trying to take care of your young family, please accept my sincere condolences. The pharmacy line at the Green Hills Walgreens seems to always be like this. the people are nice, the company just doesn't have enough staff to meet the demand. i scheduled my booster at 9:50 am. arrived 15 min early as requested (10:35). it's 10:26 and still no covid booster. They should probably discontinue this service. There's only 1 pharmacist here and the poor man is killing himself trying to keep up. read more

First wait 15 minutes in line for pharmacy. Then wait 10 minutes to find the prescription. Then be told it will take 30 minutes to fill the very simple prescription. Return 2 hours later. This location doesn't have nearly enough staff for the demand. I've been using this location as my pharmacy for years and since COVID has just been a nightmare. Slow to fill called in prescriptions and extremely long wait times when you try to call in and half the time it disconnects you so you have to start over. Not the people who work here's fault they just need more help because right now the customer service experience is a nightmare to get prescriptions that are basic necessities at this point is extremely difficult! read more

I love that Walgreens is open 24/7. And the pharmacy closes pretty late too but not open 24/7. It's well lit and has a lot of things that I haven't seen at my local pharmacy. For example: Plan B one step (for emergency contraception) and Orasure Oraquick for rapid 20 minute HIV home testing. It's amazing how far technology has come along... Next thing you know, you can diagnose and treat yourself without a doctor :P Anyway, I'm waiting at the pharmacy area because my Rite Aid on West End ave closed their pharmacy at 6pm :( I hope this works... I don't live in Nashville, and I needed a whole bunch of stuff, and Susan was basically the full-service Walgreens concierge for me, and helped me get everything I needed and was a joy to speak with. I've never had worse service in a pharmacy and not many experiences come to mind anyplace else really. The pharmacy technician with tattoos on her face (yes, really) is TERRIBLY rude and should be in a back-of-store role. She has no business being around customers with her attitude! I will drive as many miles as I have to to never go into this or another Walgreen's again. The experience I received from her has completely and forever soured the entire brand. Yes, it was that bad. You get your meds called in and they say it's out of stock for over 5 days, then you go over there to make the pharmacist look and it's there. The pharmacy at this location has a drive through which is very convenient. I prefer to use this as much as possible. On the occasions that I have to go into store I have to say the employees always acknowledge me. I am giving this location 5 stars because I've used this pharmacy consistently for 3+ years and have received good - great service every time. That is pretty hard for most businesses to consistently maintain. From the Pharmacists to Pharma Techs I am always treated quickly and I can tell they are trying to fill Rx's and serve me as fast as possible. I'm not saying you will never have to wait because this is probably one of the busiest pharmacies in the city. But they wilL advise you of wait time and text you once Rx is filled. It's your choice if you want to sit and wait or leave the store for another errand. read more

Working with their pharmacy is normally a pain. Long waits even when their is no line. Most recently, my doctor ordered a prescription and now 3 weeks and multiple phone calls later it still isn't available. Went into the store to see what was going on, only to be told they'd "try placing a manual order". Another estimated 3 day wait time. It's probably best to try another Walgreens. read more

This is THE Walgreens. MY Walgreens. And not only because I used to fill in there way back in the day when I worked as a tech in the pharmacy. It is a totally different Walgreens than it was then. Why is it the best? - Pharmacy staff are used to having to handle large volumes of customers. They are efficient and quick. Plus all this awesome new app technology lets them just notify me via text when my Rx is ready. - The adorable ladies that work the front register are my favorite. They are ALWAYS friendly. They are pleased to be there. You don't get that at other Walgreens...trust me, when I worked the front register I was a surly bitch. These ladies, they are chatty and awesome. - They freakin restock the shelves and make the place look nice and not like a tornado went through here. - If you are lazy and don't want to deal with Kroger, you can pick up milk, chips, bread, and other staples (Gingerbread House ice cream?). Quick in and out! - Red Box outside if you use that. - I love Walgreens and their center aisle of seasonal stuff. Just stuff that you may or may not need but you want. They have one too, just like the rest. - Their new rewards program is actually really awesome. It uses your phone number and then it keeps track of your rewards and asks if you want to redeem when you are checking out. Like $5 or $10 right off your bill! As much as I go in there I'll probably get my entire thing free soon enough. I normally wouldn't review a Walgreens, but when I stop into other Walgreens I realize that this one is SUPERIOR to most. Add in that it is a convenient right turn and another right turn on my way home and it makes it the best one for me. read more

Unfortunately my positive experience in the store has been overshadowed by multiple frustrating occasions with the pharmacy staff. In one instance I even had to file a formal complaint. It's a shame. I have COVID and a double ear infection. This is the sickest I have EVER been. I got the notification that my prescription at Walgreens was ready at 5:54 pm, and their pharmacy closes at 6 pm on Sundays. I prepaid online to make sure my boyfriend could run in and grab it since he was pulling in the parking lot already. Sure enough, at 6 pm on the dot, he is running in there, after I had begged the pharmacist to please stay open so I could start taking my medication. She said no, directed him to a 24 Walgreens over 30 minutes away, and closed the door on him at 6:01 pm. Shame on you Walgreens. read more

I have used Walgreens for my prescriptions for years. Never a problem. In the last 4 months it takes forever to get a prescription filled. I called one day 6 times and they never answered. This is most unusual and I hope it gets corrected soon. I even went to Kroger one day to fill my prescription because they didn't answer the phone. I grew up going to Walgreens very frequently, so I love that this one is so close. Always clean and has a friendly staff. Also, it's pretty nice to have TWO Redbox machines outside! Parking lot is very spacious, which in Green Hills is rare, so I definitely appreciate that aspect. All around great stop for basic needs! read more

TERRIBLE - my mother is forced to go here because of insurance. RX dropped off at 12:30 pm when we left the hospital. We were told they would be ready at 3:30. Went at 4 pm they told me to come back at 6. At 6 they said come back at 8::30. Told 15 minutes at 8:30 and still waiting. Oh did I say she was supposed to have some of those medicines by now!!!! read more

I have been going to this Walgreens all my life- I love nearby and it was always easy and friendly. The last few times I have been in the last year - the customer service was horrible. They yelled at me and my service dog, then proceeded to make fun of us within ear shot. I quickly made my purchase and was shown nothing but rudeness and unkindness. I was hurt and appalled at the behavior of these adults. I quickly contacted Managment and will drive the extra 15 minutes to go to ANY OTHER Walgreens. I usually don't do negative reviews- people have bad days. But I will not be insulted along with my service animal who has done more good for the world than most of those at that store. read more

BEST pharmacist EVER! Dr. Kim dispenses incredibly great advice along with prescriptions! We'd been sick over 10 days, went in last night to ask what we could buy over the counter. By the time we left, we had more information than we would have if we'd made an appointment to see our general practitioner! We are 100% better today! The pharmacy. This pharmacy is so slow. I have never had an experience where I haven't had to wait fifteen minutes just to drop off or get there when the prescription is supposedly ready and have to wait for them to fill it. I counted seven people back there. Why is this so slow? I also have an issue with them not letting me know there is an issue with a prescription until I show up to pickup the prescription. When I asked why no one called, they told me there was so much, and it's hard to remember it all. Hardly the assurance I would want from a pharmacist. read more
