I have no beef with the store itself or the products in the store. However, the pharmacy is probably the worst pharmacy I've ever picked up prescriptions from and I have lived, in some capacity, in eight states. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Prescriptions are never stocked and some days the pharmacist just arbitrarily decides not to attend work, which leaves people who need critical prescriptions stranded. They then refer you to drive all the way to Hendersonville which is ridiculous. Lastly, they do not stop sending you text messages and notifications via the app that your prescription is ready and you show up and it's not??? We have officially transferred our business to Amazon pharmacy. read more

Called to speak with pharmacist regarding a script transfer. The cashier kept picking up the phone and putting it on hold, then had the audacity to pick up the phone and put it on the counter, continuing to refuse, I suppose, to speak with me. 40 minutes later I got in my car and drove to the pharmacy, where I found a pharmacist and the cashier with no customers waiting. Went into Walgreens to pick up my meds, and had items I wanted to pay for all at once. The 2 black female pharmacists, one which is named Lynakka and the other pharmacist that works with her. The pharmacist was giving me attitude about how many items she had to scan. I've done it many many times before. Every time I emphasized that I wanted all my items to be paid for in full she would get a nasty attitude with me every single time. They wanted to argue all day with me and fight. They didn't want to do their jobs. They are rude and extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The older black man had to tell them that I could pay for my items there. Another worker, was looking inside of the details in my phone to not take pictures, because they don't want to be exposed because of how they treat human beings. They don't treat customers like a person, but more like animals. Also, lady with the grey dreads and glasses is the most abhorrent individual I've ever had to encounter in my entire life. Yes, I was recording you and yes I have your photos as well, and you will do nothing about it. Instead of worrying and obsessing about me and being hateful do your job. Move on with your empty life. This is for the Walgreens on North Main Street in Salinas, Ca. OMG what a f------ nightmare. I spent 2 hours there today and left without my medication. When I left the store I was stressed and that place was on my last nerve. They almost never open on time but the store manager doesn't tell you that so your standing in line like an idiot and no one is there to open. They call you at home with a voice message saying your prescription is ready and when you go to get it's not ready. This place is in serious need of an overhaul. this walgreens pharmacy is an absolute nightmare; made me run around to call my doctor about a medicine with automatic refills, finally got them to get it to go through, they didn't have it ready when it was supposed to be and told me to wait another 3 hrs so I had to leave, then got a text saying they couldn't because of an insurance issue--I don't have insurance. Had to call them and had them hang up on me multiple times before I could even resolve the issue. finally got on the phone with someone (AGAIN) and when they finally decided to help I was on edge because I had spent almost an hr trying just to get them to answer and not immediately hang up on me. they are always busy because of their location but seriously if you can go somewhere else I suggest it. have had some of my worst experiences here when I have had to pick up medicine. read more

If I could Give this location zero stars I would! I was visiting from out of town and needed a prescription for my asthma this was the closest Walgreens to my hotel so my doctor sent in the prescription. I got a text saying that there was a delay but it would be ready by 3:41 PM. I came by at 4:43 PM and was told that they sent me an email saying that they wouldn't have the prescription till tomorrow. I told him that is incorrect that that was not what the text message said the lady said she would give me a pharmacist. I waited 10 minutes and I was still refused a pharmacist. I kept pressing the call button and I kept yelling at me telling me they would be with me and just a. I asked what what Walgreens had this in stock and they to to me to go to the Walgreens and call. This Walgreens is pretty well-organized, especially now with back-to-school season in session. They did a thorough job collecting and sorting through all relevant stationary items and accessories. However, personnel lacks a bit of charm. My cashier seemed confused when I offered my own bag instead of the store's plastic. There was also a bit of confusion when I entered my number to search for my priority card membership. Further, the security guard at the front stared me down coldly upon entering the store. While not intimidating, it was strange. Otherwise, the store is well-stocked, organized, and expansive. My experience with employees at walgreens is usually mixed with lack of care and ignorance. This store location is the exception. The Pharmacy goes overboard to make sure you can afford your prescriptions. The floor workers actually know the products. And, paying which should be the easiest part of any business is actually easy here. Corporate should dona case study on how this store does so well with customers and it's in a rough part of town. This Walgreens absolutely sucks. They have the rudest staff on the planet. They bark at you like you're the scum of the Earth for actually needing medicine. This goes for the lowest clerk to the most educated pharmacist and everybody in between. If I worked for corporate Walgreens, I would be very concerned about my prospects moving forward. The one thing I can be happy about is the fact that because of pharmacies that are as terrible as this one has been and continues to be (and this is over a matter of years, not just one visit), opportunities are created for pharmacists who actually care and aren't complete jerks to open their own, independent pharmacies. Walgreens is always tempting when it comes to cosmetics - all the buy one, get one half off deals!! The main reason for my negative review of this particular Walgreens is the pharmacy. Walgreens doesn't offer $4 generics, which is annoying, seeing that so many other large corporations (Kroger, Publix, even Walmart and Target) do. That aside, the pharmacy techs at this location don't seem to be all that.... with it. It was around 5p, getting into rush hour, and the few women in the pharmacy just seemed to be COMPLETELY overwhelmed with everything they were trying to fill. (There weren't too many of us approaching the pharmacy at that time...) It took longer than quoted to actually fill my prescription. I was sitting right next to the pharmacy and never heard my name paged over the intercom, but when I approached the pharmacy (for the last of maybe 3 times) I was told my name had been paged. The only somewhat decent thing about this store is the pharmacy; where most of the time (the few times I've had to use it) the staff is polite and caring. That being said the rest of the staff are lazy and if you ask them a question or to help you with anything they act like you're bothering them somehow. Diabetics and those with other life-threatening conditions - the pharmacy here is by far and away the worst I've ever used. If you need your medicine to help you live, seriously, hand to god, save yourself now. Because these jokers could not care less. Ive had the same insurance for years, using the same medications for years, and somehow every three month refill comes with me having to call my insurance to call them to let them know they'll cover my meds. And then it can take days later to actually get the meds shipped in. Walgreens effs it up EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Honestly, shame on me for giving them the chances I have to redeem themselves. And folks, BE WARNED - their automated machine that says they're working on fixing a problem that's come up with your insurance... Protip: they're not. I've gone on way too long without my insulin because they won't make a simple phone call to my insurance or doctor, or even to me. Last time around, I had to call my nurse, who called in the drug sales rep to literally come to their pharmacy to teach these people how to do their job. Not kidding. The absolute SLOWEST Walgreens Pharmacy I have ever encountered. I have dealt with this location on multiple occasions, and every instance has been the same, an ordeal. Don't bother calling ahead either because you're bound to wait on hold for half of your day. I had a prescription on hold at this location and have been avoiding going back to pick it up due to the amount of time I spend EVERY time I visit. I finally found an hour to spare and after waiting 45 minutes, I was told my prescription was no where to be found! They showed record of where I had dropped it off but couldn't locate the physical rx, so not only was this visit time consuming, it was absolutely pointless! I thought the safest place for my rx was at the actual pharmacy but apparently that's not true. I had initially given this location 2 starts but am now rating it 1. I frequent Walgreen's pharmacy and I highly advise you avoid this one at all cost! The location on West End is way better. read more

This Walgreens is super convenient to my house and it's a shame because it's terrible. The store is dirty and poorly stocked and the employees just seem to wander around in a daze. Not helpful. The other day I was there and there was a partially smoked cigarette at the pharmacy counter- gross! Which leads me to my biggest complaint.... The pharmacy dept. is always backed up and even if I'm just picking up, I find myself waiting at least 20 min every time. Really wish they would improve in this area. I called back for customer service and the lady said she could not help me she was at register 1. Called the Pharmacy back and I was in line to be 2nd caller and they never picked up. Great experience here this morning. For some reason my online refill had not gone through. The pharmacist (Bo, I believe) was able to fill it for me on the spot (in the drive-through) in less than five minutes and offer advice on why it had not gone through. Looking for that quick buy? I mean if your like me you know when you need something quick, and your on the road, usually you to the gas station... But this Walgreens is right next to the exit, and entrance of the highway... so you can't beat it. There are days when I'm not going to settle for less at a gas station, so I hurry to Walgreens to get my Fiji Water, and a quick Snack. I was buying medicine for my daughter, I also had a small thing of energy drinks with my purchase. I had payment in coins (all rolled mind you) and the cashier said she couldn't accept my change as payment so I asked her to get the manager. She did he said they had a weigh machine in the back and that he would check it for me. I don't think he did cause it didn't take long for him to come back and say they were short. I said, well I can unroll them and count them in front of you then you can apologize. Mind you I was in tears, I needed the medicine for my daughter desperate to the point I had to break the piggy bank. He said that wouldn't be necessary and that if I didn't leave he'd call the cops. Really pisses me off that they can go and accept ebt from freeloaders but when someone working class comes along they don't really give two cents. First of all, I love Walgreens as a whole and this location in particular is very close to my home and is an over all well stocked business with a huge variety of items to purchase. However, you honestly have to block out a solid 20 minutes of your time every visit just to stand in line. I cannot recall a time i was able to check out even remotely close to the time when i wanted to. The staff just wanders around and leaves just one register open creating insane lines that back up all the way to the photo center. I have never witnessed a cashier call for another cashier to open a line, nor have i seen an employee take the initiative to do so. The staff is normally rude and refuses to help you and the attitudes of the employees there usually compare to a brick wall. When they do finally call to check someone out in cosmetics or the photo center, they ring one person up and then walk away leaving the other customers in line to return to the original long line and wait longer. This has happened every time i have revisited this location in the past few months. It is honestly ridiculous. So in conclusion, i really wish this Walgreens would call a meeting and get their game plan in order because the location has the potential to impress quite a few people, but until then I will drive the extra few miles to go to the Charlotte Pike location so i don't have to spend an eternity to buy a pack of gum and a Red Bull. read more
