Shooting range located in an industrial park in Henderson. The range is an indoor range and a gun store is located next door. You can bring your own gun or rifle or rent from the range. If you rent, a range instructor stays with you the entirety of your shooting. Ammo is for sale but you can also bring your own. Lane rentals are $20 and $10 for each additional shooter. This is a small range with a retail shop attached. They have rental guns to shoot and about 6 public lanes. They also have a club range, open to range members at about $100 per month. Moved to Henderson, NV in March. GVR is the closest range to our home. Stopped in to get details and view the facility. Mark is the first person we spoke to. Knowledgeable and friendly, he answered our questions. He invited us to check out the "Club" side of the range. There we met John and Jessica. We were so impressed, we purchased a membership. I took my CCW class here recently. Jessica was my instructor. She's awesome. Her level of knowledge and preparedness is incredible. She knows everything by heart, doesn't look at notes, engages the class. You just know she's a good person. I learned a TON, she had so much practical information, she used demonstrative and video examples too. If you're going to sign up for a class, this place is great. Their facility is incredibly clean, and their classroom facility is nice. Their store portion has lots of great stuff too. I really can't say enough about the experience. Green Valley Range is a great place to come shoot! I have done my initial CCW class here as well and visited numerous times to shoot at their indoor range. The staff have always been friendly, respectful, informative, and professional. GVR is also quite clean, from the range itself, to the shop, and the restrooms, which I feel is important and says alot about them as business. Very condescending. They don't ask any questions about your gun knowledge or experience before pushing their own opinions onto you. And to make it even worse, they don't even have the knowledge that they think they have. For example, not knowing the model of firearms that they have in their own case. I asked to see the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and he grabbed the EZ version. When I told I wanted to see just the plain ol' Shield, he informed me that was it. SMH. When I explained to him which firearm I wanted to see, he said "Oh, that's the Shield C." No, it's not. And then when I asked to see the P365, he attempted to talk me out of it saying that no one wants that gun. That everyone prefers the P365XL. I'm sorry, but last I checked the P365 was one of the highest rated, reviewed and loved carry pistols of this generation. I mean it was downright terrible. There's a difference in offering advice and/or expertise and attempting to force your terrible ass opinion on someone. And his so called range training was absolutely abysmal. I mean terrible. Since when does renting a firearm to shoot come with REQUIRED assistance. And I'm talking directly next to you STANDING IN THE LANE!!! With his mask down. I mean, maybe there isn't a worldwide pandemic going on and I'm just nuts. And aside from the training (and I use that word VERY loosely) being unwarranted and unnecessary, it was just plain bad. Training to shoot with one eye closed. Forcing an isosceles stance when Weaver is much more comfortable and easier to shoot. (For me. In my opinion.) Again, there is a difference in educating and offering advice as opposed to forcing your opinion into someone else. I shoot two eyes open and in a defensive stance. Why are you forcing me to close an eye and stand legs shoulder width apart and leaning forward??? Sure fire way to get me killed in a self defense situation. I honestly wish I knew his name so that I could put it here. His gun knowledge and his training etiquette was piss poor in my opinion. And I've been shooting for over 20 years. But he wouldn't know that because he never asked. I saw someone above complain that they felt mistreated because they were Black. Another comment said that they email a lot of right wing propaganda out as well. I would like to think that my Black skin isn't the reason this idiot assumed I didn't have gun knowledge... but who knows for sure? I'm giving 2*'s because the range itself was quite nice. And a decent variety of firearms to rent. But the service and knowledge was plain unacceptable. Don't shop for a firearm here. And damn sure don't train here. In a life or death situation, no way no how would I want any of this guy's information popping into my head. Overall the reviews on this place seem great. But I promise you my experience was night and day difference from some that I'm reading. Terrible terrible terrible experience. read more

There is a darker skin colored gentleman who works for this establishment was absolutely disrespectful to me and my brother who came into the range just to shoot some bullets. Not anything crazy. No serious training of the sort. When the gentlemen noticed that he came up to me and my brother and said " are you guys trading for anything or are you done shooting. Essentially trying to kick us out and proceed to tell me that he was bored of just standing there watching us, so he invited himself to shoot my firearm without my concent or even the bother to ask if it was okay. Then stated that he was going to show us how to shoot. I just felt like I was belittled for trying to just have a nice outting with my brother. Needless to say I will not be coming back here. Not recommended anybody here. The amount of disrespect I received from that gentleman was absurd. And I hope in the future you have better range scouts. read more

So I've been to Green Valley Range numerous times. I'm no sharp shooter, but I can put a round down range on target. Not my fiancee. I take her with me yesterday for the 1st time and it wasn't pretty. My fiancee's shooting above the safety line and all over the place. I'm trying to show her sight allignment, a proper way to grip the firearm. Meanwhile Joe comes in and saves the day. Joe took the time to explain why she should hold the firearm the way we do. Showed her how to get her sights alligned. Basically Joe gave her a mini pistol instruction course, and about 10-15 later, my fiancee was putting rounds on target! Shoutout Ruben too for some pointers! Joe, thank you for taking your time to show my fiancee some shooting techniques. We'll both be back soon for your basic pistol starter course soon. You made my woman feel a lot more comfortable. And I appreciate it. read more

The Range: Clean, prices are very reasonable, several discounts offered, no appointment necessary and free targets! Range/Lanes are kept clean and well ventilated. I have never had to wait for an open lane but if you do, they offer free snacks and refreshments while you wait! They also have private lanes for Members! The Staff: Friendly and VERY knowledgeable! They are always willing to answer questions and offer tips. You are always greeted with a smile and acknowledged when you walk through the door. They are very professional and helpful. CCW Class: First time or renewal this is the place to get your CCW Certification! John Bebirian is THE MAN!! John is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to gun safety and laws. He keeps you engaged the entire time. The class is very informative and interactive. John shares real-life scenarios and experiences which are very helpful in understanding the rules and regulations of having a CCW. He makes you feel comfortable and confident. I love that he goes above and beyond and offers tips on holstering your gun and what to look for. My husband and I very much enjoyed the class! We will be back in five years for our renewal class! The Store: The store offers a great selection of guns and ammo, as well as cases, holsters, eye and ear protection, etc. They have a great selection of shirts too! If they don't have it out on the floor just ask... they may be able to order it for you. We purchased a gun online and had it sent to the store for pick up. There are many ranges to choose from in the valley, but Green Valley Range is one a great ranges and facility. The range itself is relatively new and well ventilated. It's a good place for novice and experienced shooters alike. They also conduct various classes each month. John Nagy is one of the Range Officers that teaches some of the classes - great guy! Just completed the CCW with George Heaven Jr. He is a straight shooter, pun intended. He is pragmatic, clear, answers every question with respect, speaks from a deep width of experience. Makes it very clear you will not fail him nor mess up his 100% pass rate as long as you show up. If you do not qualify on the shoot in the morning, he will work with you at the end of class to get passing. Who does this? He is sincere and I came out with a much deeper regard for my choice. Ashley was my other encounter and she took care of any questions and making sure registration was done completely... Clear on range rules and expectations... Simple follow the rules and respect each other. Check your egos at the door and you will get along fine here. Hands down this is where you want to go.....Clean , refreshments, lounge area, well stocked store and loads of choices in arms. Thank you to the whole staff... BTW George mentioned go to LVMPD on Sunday before they open as walk in as the easiest way in which to complete your application.... Well Jerry, another student and I did just this... I arrived at 7:45a and was 16th inline outside. Promptly at 8am walked right in got my ticket sat down and was called in 30 minutes and completed the transaction in 40 minutes tops..This is a shout out to each person there I interacted with! All were very congenial and accommodating and smiling... Smile back its infectious. Now I wait 120 days. read more

Green Valley Range is a good little place to shoot. Its a little on the small side so I could see it easily getting a bit crowded. On the other hand, its kind of hard to find. A little off the beaten path. Word to the wise, look across the street from their big billboard in the wrong parking lot. You'll find it quicker than I did. Anywho, there was not much of a crowd when I came in at 11:30 AM. A few other shooters but no wait to get a lane. It cost $20 to shoot here. And you can stay all day. Or as long as your ammo holds out. Whichever come first I suppose. There is a rack of complimentary targets which is nice. And from what I heard there are free snacks and refreshments too! I did not take advantage of that today but I did see a guy with a bag of popcorn. Its cool they do that. They treat their customers with respect. Almost like they actually want your return business. I have been to so many other gun shops that have a good ol' boy mentality. They can be condescending. Not here though. I respect the Green Valley Range because they respect me. It was a pleasure shooting here though I should really make the $20 fee go further than 1 target and an hour spent inside next time. Get my money's worth so to speak. read more

I recently bought a new firearm and hadn't shot it until I went to this place. The range safety officer (or whatever you wanna call it) saw that I was a little nervous and I was getting a feel for my new firearm. I was asked if I had ever shot a firearm before, I explained that yes I have shot firearms hinting that I know what gun safety is. I never did anything to jeopardize the safety of the range, barrel down range at all times. Always treating the firearm as if it was loaded. I said I'm just not experienced with pistols, I explained that im in the military and Ive had range days with M4's ect. And if anyone has shot an M4 knows that it's cake compared to a lot of other firearms. I was asked if I would like a runaround of my new firearm and I said yes because I genuinely did want a runaround im not gonna lie about knowing exactly how the firearm works, i wanted help for my knowledge. But then proceeded to pretty much accuse me of stolen valor saying im lying about my military service and proceeded to gossip with other folks on the range about it claiming im lying about being in the military and he's never heard of someone in the military that has never shot a pistol. Then as we walk out when we were leaving he was speaking out loud to his coworkers claiming im a liar and he doesn't like liars. I never lied about my experience with my pistol or pistols in general, I was upfront when asked and genuinely wanted a runaround of my new pistol. All I got out of it was being accused of lying about my service, the worker breathing down my neck the entire time and being targeted instead of receiving some tips that I asked for in the first place. I chose this place because of the huge choice CCW classes. I did have an issue when I arrived. The employee took my temp with one of those thermal readers. I was sitting outside in the sun for 30 minutes. It read 99, then she took it again a total of 3 more times and it read 98.6. They made me reschedule even though it read the same 3 times. It was embarrassing the way it was handled because the other people in the class were looking at me like I had Coronavirus. I came back anyway. I'm glad I did. The instructor George Heaven was by far, one of the best instructors I've ever had. His years of experience and no nonsense attitude was great. He kept us interested and the time went by fast. read more
