After the hubby was disappointed to find out there was a power outage at our usual watering hole, we found ourselves at the Green Timbers Pub instead. The place is located at one end of a small strip mall, adjacent to a liquor store with plenty of parking on a weeknight. Interior was larger than expected because the pub is not easily viewable from the main streets. Lots of high top seating, a decent amount of regular tables, and an insane amount of TV's along one wall, plus a couple of darts boards. You could probably watch every sports game available without having to turn your neck. A very nice selection of food and drinks for a neighbourhood pub. Hubby had British Style Fish & Chips, but portion wise they looked like they went light on the fries. I opted for a Chicken Caesar Wrap with grilled chicken breast, and easy on the dressing since we both decided to order a pint each of their house beers. He said the beer wasn't very good and in all honesty I thought the beer was okay in the same way that I don't have high expectations for house wines. It was drinkable and that was good enough for me. Maybe it was getting later in the evening, but at some point between the waitress and the kitchen, my order changed. Not much, but suddenly I got the wraps with chicken tenders, and a regular amount of Caesar salad dressing and not for the other available customization I had chosen. It wasn't as if I asked for a special customization for my wrap...but I decided it wasn't worth the effort to complain or ask that they remake the food. It is as you would expect of a neighbourhood pub in Surrey. Decent prices, free parking, and a place where you can be as loud and rambunctious with your friends and have a good time. read more

This will definitely be my new wings place. Wings are not limited to Wednesday. We came here on a Sunday and took advantage of their wings deal. It was an awesome deal come to think about it. $5 per lb and no need to buy a drink with it. They have about 10 flavors. I got honey garlic and I also tried honey mustard and garlic dry rub. The wings were huge and for that price you can't really get anywhere else. Also most importantly, they were delicious. I did noticed there were more drums than wings in a basket. Green Timbers Pub is located out in Surrey but you do need to drive there. Or you can take the skytrain to Guildford station and walk about 30 mins. There are plenty of parking there. They have other deals too like $5 burger on a certain day and etc. Note they also do cheap brunch on Sunday. Yes they have a special every day. Service was good. I've been coming to this Pub for over Thirty Years. Family owned and has had a great connection with its surrounding neighborhood. This Pub has changed its looks over the years but it has great people working there and the food is fantastic and served by the great staff they manage to find to work there. Lots of Parking and easy access ,plus the great location . I'm sure The Green Timbers Pub will remain a favorite for generations to come . read more

I've lived in the area for the past 8 years and have always wanted to try it. Well, I've tried it now and I probably won't be going back. We went in on their wing night (Wednesdays). Ordered 2 pounds of wings and a chicken quesadilla. Wings were overcooked and just plain not good; the quesadilla was bland. Another annoyance was the other group sitting near us. They were loud and obnoxious, swearing at whatever sports program was on TV. Not the restaurant's fault, but it added to my displeasure. Staff were nice enough, and the environment was nice. Wonderful staff, nice little place, great happy hour specials on highballs ($4) etc etc etc BUUUUUT if you like wings.....DON'T COME HERE FOR WINGS. Most terrible wings we've ever tasted. Scott is the main bartender oddly the bar wall by the washroom has an empty cig machine. Another poster (from San Francisco) said he was racist never heard him say anything racist and he told me his wrestling buddy was Black. Customers are mainly White and all the front staff are but I have seen Asian customers there as well as Indos and Aboriginals. I know my chance of having a good time depends on the bar clientele that night. There is no Guildford transit station like one poster said the 341 bus goes there from Newton Loop the stop is less than a 3 min. walk from the pub but service stops around 9 PM. Getting a cab at night can sometimes take a half hour for some reason. Lots of TVs in the bar always on sports. Food is average pub fare. Legal gambling. Prices are average. A couple long tables one for at least 12. Service is fine. The parking lot sometimes has overnight security. read more

I was there Wednesday for wings last week and although the staff was more or less attentive to our needs and very nice the food was a big disappointment. Ordered the wings as it was wing Wednesday and they were very dry and overcooked and we also had quesadillas and they were not much better. The wait staff were pretty good and nice but the food was a disappointment. read more

The pub breakfast specials usually are priced really well. This place was no exception. My date ordered a timbers breakfast special and I ordered a breakfast sandwich with a mimosa. My sandwich was really good. The gooey cheese, a runny egg and crispy bacon on a soft Kaiser bun was the perfect combination. The only miss was the hash browns. Everything was delicious!!! I had a deluxe burger and added cheddar and mushrooms: super moist and really tasty. Fries were really good! They don't have a massive beer list but they have all the standards plus seasonals like Granville Island Winter Ale. Suits me just fine! I dined with 4 family members and everyone's meals were yummy: southwest burger, fish and chips, and 2 reubens. We will be back! read more

Steak bites and Rickards red is my favorite go to pub meal here. It is usually filled with local regulars and has great wait staff. Green Timbers is a reliable local pub. If they still have the same bartender that I knew, then you are guaranteed a perfect drink. She's friendly, funny and great for there business. read more

I recently moved to the area and have tried really hard to like this place as it's the only dine in place near by but out of 5 visits here I can only say I've had ONE good experience. I've had hair in my food and my server take so long chatting to her coworker on a dead Sunday that I had to get up and go find her to show her - by the time I did this my food was cold and I was over even bothering with a replacement. The next time I went I had a lovely mystery item mixed in with my food that clearly fell in with someone else's order that neither kitchen staff nor server noticed before serving me. I pointed out to my server once I noticed- she couldnt care less( super great if let's say you had a dietary restriction!) The same meal also had days- old spoiled green onions that i had also pointed out early on ( which they did offer to remake .. but why bother remaking an entire meal over a garnish??). Don't bother with "spicy " caesars here either - you're just going to get a mouthful of Lea & perrins instead , your bartender isn't going to bother asking how their ceasar is and you might stupidly order it a separate time hoping it's better also to have it just as bad and pay full price every time / no remake :) the first time I went my sister and cousin resent their fish & chips back TWICE: undercooked / raw in the middle, mushy. Fairly recently renovated, this pub is 1000% nicer then is was before. Waitresses are friendly and that have a decent menu. Wings are decent here as well. The few times I've been there on wing night, I never was served any of the scrawny wings I've often received at some other places. They have 9 different wing flavors and none of them disapointed me, although as with most places, the hot wings could use a little more heat. Went to this pub for lunch one day with family and the waitress we had was extremely racist and unpleasant. Did not even bother saying hi the moment she saw we were Asians and when other (non-Asian) customers came in, her face and attitude totally changed!!!!! I am shock such blatant racism still exist in Surrey!!!!!! DO NOT waste your money there!!! Been to other pubs in the area and by far this one is the worst!!! Grew up in the neighbourhood and I think the renovations opened up their clientele to a broader crowd. Came here during the Stanley cup finals. Lots of TV's and seating. They had draws for prizes around 7 I think.The food portions were HUGE ordered the appie platter to share between two of us and we couldn't even finish half of it. read more

I have eaten here several times with friends and co workers. I went here because it was close to my house. My daughter liked the chicken nachos from here. We would order them as take out to eat while watching a movie. The last two times I have called to order the person on the other end has rudely said "We are too busy for take out " Then hung up. I then made the decision that if they are too busy for a customer order then they certainly will not miss my business as a walk in or take out customer. There are several other pubs that will willingly make time for my hard earned money. read more
