Yes our building is a little skeptical but don't judge a book by its cover, we are slammed when it's dinner time and are very popular. If you're writing a complaint about DELIVERY TIME. I'd like to say this; you need too remember that it gets busy, and we have a delivery range from 1-15 miles. Which is something you will not find anywhere else in Vancouver. I've driven all the way too the end of washougal, airport way in Portland. Even too Felida in salmon creek. My boyfriend and I have only been eating here for about 3 months but within that 3 months we have had them at least once a week!!! The service when you take out is 100% amazing and we always have a blast chatting with the person at the window. Ick! I suffered through this meal because it's the only Chinese restaurant in Vancouver that delivers, but I will not be doing so again. When Panda Express is 10 times better than this place, it's a bad sign. The broccoli beef was inedible, as was the kung pao chicken. The pork fried rice was fine, and the egg roll was actually delicious. Surprisingly. My kids ordered from the American side of the menu (burgers and fries), however the fries never made it to our house. Perhaps their driver got hungry on the hour and a half drive to our house, though we only live 8 minutes away. The chow gum had some mystery meat in it claiming to be chicken. And the the spring roll (which I had wrongly assumed to be vegetarian) had nasty grissle in it. No matter how badly I am craving Chinese food, I will NEVER order from Green Tea again. read more

After ordering our food. After waiting for 1 hour and some change. They finally called to tell us that because we're on outskirts of Portland just before you hit Gresham( so we tell them we're inside your 3 mile radius on your on your website its states as long as you're in a 12 mile radius) .. . They tell us they won't deliver our food to us. Makes no sense we ordered close to $50 worth of food. Any company that makes up that amount of food and then decide bet they won't deliver after their own people tell you that they deliver to you... That is just stupid and wasteful! I just moved to Vancouver a year ago and found Green Tea Shortly after. If im ever in the mood where I dont want to cook, dont want to go out for dinner and dont want to drive anywhere I order Green Tea. Between my roommate and I, we've discovered a good portion of their menu in the last year since I purchased my home. My first test for good Chinese food is whether or not they can make a good crab puff. You know sometimes you go to chinese food restaurants and the crab puffs either don't have enough filling or are too fried? That is not an issue at Green Tea. They're nice and piffu and pass the Crab Puff test. We've also ordered the Orange, Lemon, Tso's and Sweet and Sour Chicken and i'm not a huge fan of Lemons but the Lemon Chicken is amazing. The Beef and Broccoli combination is good and the Beef is never dry or Overcooked. The BBQ pork is always amazing and consistent and so is the rice. I've had almost all their soups and favor the WonTon soup. My roommate had a curry there once that he loved and made our place smell so good. The Almond chicken is always yummy. Delivery can very from very quick to an hour but I don't mind. The delivery drivers are super nice and fight the traffic using their time and gas so we don't have to. Overall I think Green Tea Kitchen is great. My Grandparents bought a Condo literally next door to Green Tea and ive seen Green Tea's location and some people comment that the building is questionable but they're actually in a nice neighborhood and as long as their Kitchen works for them who are we to judge? My family is of Cantonese descent and my Grandpa already seems to know the cooks and he was super happy to be able to meet people in town to hold a conversation in Cantonese. He says that when he walks the dog the staffers always wave hi to him which is nice. Overall I recommend Green Tea because it's good food, it's not super expensive and the folks are super friendly. read more

Called for delivery. After giving all my information and placing my order I was told that i live too far away (8 miles) and that my order of $15 was not worth the trip for them. The woman on the phone stated that i must order more than $25 for them to deliver. I commented to her that i was sorry that thier food was such a great deal and i guess i would have to order somewhere else. But as far as customer service i give them a 10/10 and thier prices are so good that if you are a single guy, you are going to be eating chinese food for a week just to get a delivery! read more

Tried them for the first time. Ordered General Tso chicken. It was the worst I've ever had. I knew the minute I smelled the bag that it was made with Tabasco. There is no place for Tabasco in Chinese food! Nasty! Now I do have to applaud the excellent customer service. They remade and delivered another one to me. They were very friendly and apologetic. But the recipe is the problem. I will try other stuff in the future here due to the other reviews and my experience with their customer service. read more

It's hard to give Green Tea a representative star rating. Some times, the food is really good -- hot, fresh and tasty (****). But other times, it'll be borderline terrible -- overly salty, mushy, bland and cold (*). I heard a lot of great things about this place so I decided to order for delivery. The person on the phone was very friendly. There was a minimum $20 limit for delivery so I added some extra things. The food arrived in 30 minutes and was still pretty hot. Plus the portions are enormous! Considering all of this, I give this place 2 stars. The food itself was GROSS! The noodles had a good texture, but the flavor (aka the part that counts) was inedible. I threw it all away because I just could not get over the smell/taste of it. On the recommendation of a friend, we tried Green Tea. I've had cheap Chinese. This is just bad. The soup was far too vinegary and the rest of our order was bland. Anything with liquid suffered from an abundance of corn starch. The following morning our soup was gelatinous. There was far too much sauce on the items. Prices are average for Chinese and above for a place that only does take out/drive up window service. Anyone who has had good Chinese food knows the difference. We've had these guys deliver to us a few times. We decided that we would go to the restuarant for a change. We pulled up, and low and behold, it's drive through only! How cool! Nearly $6-7 for a plate of 5. 12 for $6 here at green tea. Yes it looks a little run down, but sometimes those places are amazing and just not recognized. The eggrolls were the best part of our meal. Paid extra for the "pan fried noodles" they weren't pan anything and were cold- no flavor just basically raw noodles. Safeway makes better Chinese food- and that stuff isn't very good either. The egg noodle soup was overly corn starched on the way to becoming Jello. The price is comparable to others places, just sucks that I paid that much for no so good food. And no remaking or ordering something different wouldn't have made a difference. This is the only good chinese food around the area, while others serve Chinese, they don't offer standard fair. Love Green Tea. They stuff their boxes full of food, and it's the best Chinese food I've found in Vancouver for the price. They occasionally have their off days, but who doesn't. I am not thrilled with their new delivery fees considering I live less than three blocks from them and it costs $2 for them to deliver now, I guess we will just have to pick it up from now on. Green Tea has been my spot for over a decade! The monthly special is a really good deal and more than enough food for two hungry adults. I almost always get the special as you get A LOT of delicious food for about $8. If you would rather buy an individual dish you can't go wrong with personal favorite, cashew chicken. My boyfriend loves the sweet & sour chicken, the orange chicken, and the sesame chicken. The potstickers, egg rolls & crab puffs are all tasty appetizers. The only thing I would NOT recommend is the hot and sour soup... very salty and plain, (no veggies.) Pretty much just looked like egg flower soup. I'm about to order some right now, thought I'd leave a review! My fiancé and his family used to get Green Tea all the time, so a few months ago we ordered some. We live a bit far, but they still delivered to us. The delivery guy was super nice, quicker than expected. The servings are HUGE!!! We love the veggie lo mien, the egg rolls are literally the best I've EVER had. Yum yum yum! They are deep fried and delicious. The lo mien is not greasy and I don't feel sick after eating it. Fortune cookies even were the best I've ever had as well.. they were fresh and tasted so good. My only complaint is the crab Rangoon and even that isn't horrible, just not the best. it's more of the fried stuff than the yummy crab and cheese filling. overall, I love green tea!!! can't wait to eat some more. read more

We have ordered from here a couple times. We thought we would give them one more chance but never again. The food is just terrible. This time we threw it out. Half was over cooked and very old like it has been under a heat lamp all day. The shrimp wasn't cook enough and the batter was still part raw. It was truly just disgusting.
