Lengua burrito with everything in it ($14.99): 3/5. It's not a large burrito, but about three-quarters of it filled me up for breakfast because of the rice and beans. The tortilla was soft and thin, which I appreciated. Lengua was delicate yet underseasoned, almost to the point of getting lost in each bite amongst the rice, beans, and cheese. The optional green and red salsas saved this bland burrito, so I recommend getting both salsas with whatever you get just in case. Service: 5/5. Knowledgeable staff. The girl who helped us at the register was friendly and down-to-earth. Food didn't take too long to come out, but it wasn't suspiciously fast, either. Our burritos arrived neatly wrapped and piping hot. Atmosphere: 4/5. Very casual, no-frills place. Inside tables and bathroom were clean. Extremely loud music was blasting from the fitness studio next door, but it wasn't super annoying since we were just gonna eat and go. Parking is free and aplenty in the plaza.

All I have to say is wow! My burrito was so well put together. The ingredients were so fresh and tasty. I decided to try something different, which was their tongue burrito with cilantro, beans, cheese, rice, and pico de gallo. If you're out and about in Riverside, and in need of solid Mexican food, this is your place!

Stopped by Green Taco and tried a few things, the Breakfast Burrito with asada, a regular Asada burrito, and the Shrimp Nachos. The food was actually really good. The asada had great flavor, the breakfast burrito was super satisfying, and the shrimp nachos were loaded and definitely worth ordering again. Service was friendly and quick. Everyone behind the counter was welcoming and the food came out fresh. The only downside is the location. It's a little sketchy outside, and I found myself keeping an eye on my car because of a couple of tweakers hanging around. Nothing happened, but it definitely made me more aware of my surroundings. Overall, great food and great service, just be mindful of the area when you go.

Great food and an even better experience! The restaurant was clean and spotless, the service was fast, and everyone was incredibly friendly. I had the carne asada taco and the carne asada nachos--both were delicious. The salsa was excellent too. I'll definitely be back!

Steak feels like a good baseline on how to judge a Mexican restaurant. I don't think I will be back. Friendly staff and my food came out quick. The steak needed seasoning and it and dry. It was decent when you put the entire plate into a tortilla, but the steak on its own needs help. Pretty good horchata. Go and add a splash of French vanilla creamer. The sides of rice and beans are okay. Nothing to write about. Guacamole and pico are good enough where they add a bit of freshness; this also includes the lettuce. Music in the background, place is pretty clean. The only reason why I came here I was the guy from Tik Tok who reviewed this spot. Good luck and positive vibes to this restaurant!

Easily the best Breakfast Burrito I've ever had. - I got a three meat breakfast burrito w/ asada, chorizo, and bacon! Another stand out was the service and how amazing the staff was, given my first time here. Will definitely be back!!

I went here because they say it was a hidden gem on TikTok said they had giant burritos and this place was really good. Unfortunately, the burritos were average size. Maybe even on the smaller side. Paid $31 for one burrito and a couple of street tacos. Definitely not worth it. Disappointed, the taste was really good but for the price and the portion size could've got a much bigger burrito from chipotle or something, and probably save money. This is also one of those burritos where it's 85% beans and rice 15% meat. The staff was really good no complaints. They get offered me a lot of hot sauce, but besides that I won't be coming back.

This review is long overdue for one of my favorite small Mexican places in Riverside. The mini tacos are always good especially the pastor! Big menu with breakfast too, long hours and the wait time is minimal, family owned place I get my lunch at all the time! Shout out to Gabby and Reuben!

Decided to try this place again since I had such a great experience the first time. This might be my new favorite mexican food spot! My husband got the asada fries. We added beans and cheese to it and they were delicious. Lots of toppings so it was very filling. I got the pastor burrito bowl and it was amazing! The lettuce and corn atop the meat, beans, and cheese was just perfect. I added some sour cream and their yummy green salsa on top and it hit the spot. Way better than a Chipotle bowl. I really love this place. Prices are fair, the food is great, and the service is stellar. Kind of disappointing you pay more inside than you do online, so my advice is just to order online to save yourself a couple of bucks. I got the carne asada fries and the amount of fries definitely wasn't worth what I paid for, their competitors at least stack you with a whole bunch that you have leftovers, but the meat was good. The fries were a little over cooked, but the guac was fresh and had a little kick which was nice. It was alright but I probably wouldn't come again read more

This place needs more recognition. The carne asada is soooo good. They have two kinds the one you want to go for is the "ranchera" carne asada. Can't get enough of the carne asada burrito. Had their pork pozole and it was delicious!! They we super nice and very accommodating since I was feeding 10+ people and two of them were vegan so they made two vegan burritos that they enjoyed. I can't wait to try more of their food. Oh and their salsa was the so good!!! read more

First time here will definitely be back they don't have taco Tuesday but it is with the price ordered carne Asada taco very clean and the corn tortillas are homemade. Excellent food! Probably the best Mexican food I have had in a long, loooong time! I had it delivered for me and my family. Maybe cause I tried to be healthy, I ordered 3 green tacos, 2 chicken and 1 Asada. Two was definitely enough. Service was good. Flavors were good, 7/10 for a low carb taco. Restroom was clean, not gonna lie smelled a lot like shit though and the place was empty. Overall 4/5 stars. read more

I've tried this restaurant twice. The first time I got the green tacos to go but I wasn't able to eat it right away so I wasn't impressed with the taste. I chalked it up to it being cold and not being able to reheat it unless I wanted to pick out the individual meat pieces, heat, then try to reassemble. Then I came again with my husband. He got the chicken burrito and I got the carne asada burrito. The meat could use more flavor for sure. But the family owned atmosphere, homemade salsas (so heat varies based on peppers used daily ), and homemade tortillas make up for it! It's like u can tell that they made the food with love! read more

I ordered the Classic Breakfast which is their Eggs Benedict served over biscuits. The Prime Rib French Dip was so good, with perfectly light-toasted, soft bread. Kudos to the kitchen on both, taste and presentation! What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The service is easily some of the best I've ever experienced. From the welcoming hostess to the efficient food runners, everyone was genuinely friendly. A huge shoutout to our server, Maria I., who was absolutely awesome and kept our brunch flawless. Even management stopped by to check on us. The entire team seems genuinely happy to be there. The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and maintains a beautiful business-casual atmosphere. Also tried their wet green pastor burrito and I'm glad I did :) I will be back to try their breakfast menu. There must be family and friends doing these reviews. They don't give Taco Tuesday deals that they say they offer. Buy 2 get one free is what they say, but they give you the 2 Cheapest free, so if you buy steak and another meat taco, the cheapest is free. Then, there are additional fees. The flavor isn't great and the place truly isn't CLEAN like some profess. Total disappointment and ripoff. read more

Needless to say, we have always loved Chilitos. Then why only two stars? Only one reason. They are no longer offering their pico de gallo at their complementary salsa bar. Their pico is delicious, adding extra zing to whatever dish is ordered. Now you can only get the delicious pico if you order with your meal, and it's a very small amount (the tiny plastic cupful) for a dollar. When asked why the change, the very nice young lady said it was because of the increase in tomato prices. Tonight I purchased some very nice Rosa tomato's at Stater Bros for $0.99 a pound, so I am certain restaurants are buying them at an even lower price than the general public. There is something else going on here, and I feel I've been lied to. Bottom line: I will check from time to time to see if the pico is back at the salsa bar. If it is, I'm back as a loyal customer (we go there an average of twice a week). If not, Chilitos loses several regular customers. It's a shame, but there are other Mexican restaurants around that I love and will enjoy my business. If you're a customer, tell Chilitos to return the pico to the salsa bar.
