This restaurant has a beautiful layout and is in a great location. It used to carry evil eye jewelry, artisan soap and prepared foods. With the new owner change, the place has lost its charm. The prepared food looks and tastes like it is from a can. The new owner is nice! but they need to lean into what they are selling- Greek cuisine! Update the decor, make it cozy, add some music, bring a knowledgeable chef and barista in! It's barren, has uncomfortable seating, is understocked and understaffed. The staff is not knowledgeable about the products and have no warmness or customer service - it would be a shame to see another business at this location fail! read more

Amazing restaurant! We have a lot of "Greek" food where we live, but usually it's owned by people who are not Greek but this place was so good!! I wish I took a picture of the food we ordered, but we were too hungry to remember lol We ordered: Chicken and Regular Gyros w fries and Greek salad The Plump Chef with Greek bread The chicken gyro was SO GOOD. SO GOOD. The pita was fluffy and the sauce was so yummy as well! I didn't try the beef and lamb (regular ) gyro or the plump chef, but they looked extremely tasty! Such a lovely place... the space, the food, the owner! Cranbury has just a handful of places to eat, and this is a great addition. The Greek aesthetic of white and blue goes so well with the historic building. On the first floor there is a tidy market that is both grocery and gift shop, with a section of rich baked goods and a section for cheese and olives. I didn't go upstairs but there's seating for indoor dining. Outdoor on the porch is also nice in the shade. The food is made with love, and you can see and taste it. I had a sampler of sweet and savory, and also picked up some goodies for home. I really enjoyed my first visit and look forward to more! read more

Ordered two gyros (which I butchered the pronunciation of) to pick up and they were ready on time. They also have Balthazar bread, which I got a loaf of. The chicken gyros hit the spot, and came with a side of fries, which would probably have tasted better if we had them right away. They also had a bit of feta cheese and seasoning on them. Happened to walk past this store and saw a grand opening sign. It's a really cute Greek Grocery and Restaurant that just opened up in the neighborhood. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a small bakery section, coffee bar, market area on the 1st floor and dining (both indoors and outdoors on their front porch patio) on the 2nd floor. Everything decorated in either robin blue or your typical greek blue. Their 2nd floor dining area is specious and has a lot of natural light coming in, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. We were able to try out some of their cookies and breakfast pastry and they were sweet and delicious. I can imagine pairing it with some Greek coffee and enjoying it on their blue patio. Best place for brunch, but since they are closed on Sundays, its become my Saturday brunch place now. Their greek sandwiches and mezzes are so fresh and tasty. All their bakery items are good and they have many organic cheese, pastas and sauces to take home. read more

After visiting Greece several years ago, I have struggled to find a restaurant that could compare to the delicious meals we enjoyed in Athens and Santorini. Found it!! The Market on Main was, hands down, the best Greek food I've had outside of Greece. The Moussaka was incredible, and I will most certainly be back for more. The restaurant itself is charming, clean, and bright with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is top notch - timely, willing to offer detailed explanations of menu items, and lovely to talk with . Pricing is reasonable. (The Moussaka was $17 and my friends "Plump Chef" sandwich with fries was $15.) Credit card is accepted, but you cannot tip on the card, so be sure to bring some cash as well. read more

This eatery reminds me of high quality cafes you would find in a more tourist place like Jersey Shore or New Hope. There are numerous cafes that I've been to, that look inviting and promising with good decor, nice ambience etc. and the food falls flat. This one however is a gem. My husband and I visited Market on Main for the first time and we loved it! We ordered the lentil soup and the Greek Sammy for a light lunch. The bread was fresh and perfect for sandwiches, the portion sizes were very generous and the amazing owner was friendly from the moment we walked in. She also made sure to ask if we were sharing the food and split our food for us in advance. The food was fresh, cozy, and delicious. The ambiance is very welcoming and the place is extremely clean. Lastly, we got coffee and cookies on the way out because as the owner says "you can't have a coffee without a cookie!" As coffee lovers, we approve! The Pastitsio and Moussaka were served right from the oven. The Bechamel was lightly browned and meat was savory and layered with Greek pasta. The Moussaka was prepared with equal care. The restaurant is owned by a young couple, who have covered every base, regarding decor and cleanliness. It is bright, comfortable environment. They offer a myriad of Greek products. Pastries are also prepared in house. Pricing is modest, especially considering the quality. They also serve breakfast, opening at 8:30 am. Oh, by the way, the service is great.
