Clean, convenient laundry mat. Easy pay option, good machines and easy to find. Will definitely come back when needed!

This place deserves a -2 rating. What could they improve? Ha!! What can they not improve is the question. Their machines do not accept cash. Only credit card. You get charged no matter if the machine works or not. I spent $17 to use their largest washing machine to do one sleeping bag. I probably could've washed in my home washing machine. It did agitate but utilizing cold when I indicated warm water. The dryers I tried dryer eight and could never get it to work. I tried dryer nine got it to work, but realize that there is no heat oh and did I mention to use their larger dryer is $5.50 for the first 30 minutes. Their sign says that they are open from 8 to 9 PM and yet there is no attendance. There are multiple machines showers, and the bathroom marked out of service. There isn' a restroom to be utilized unless you want to spend an additional 10 bucks for a shower. This place is the worst! Dirty overpriced, rip off! read more

Green Lightning Laundry - Laundromat Near Me - Florence, Oregon

There's only two laundromats in Florence, Oregon. My husband and I are rving and like to use the laundromat quicker, more efficient than using the Camp laundry site. I've been using the other laundromat here in Florence. This is the first time I'm trying green lightning. It's a newer laundromat however it does not have maintenance or an attendant around half. The machines are not working however there's no line to wait on or bumping into people while trying to fold your clothes it could use some cleanup indefinitely some electrical maintenance for the machines being that they are card operated, I'm afraid this business perhaps was going out of business however there is a sign for sale. This business is for sale however it's still operatable so today I'm using it and so far so good. read more

I'm not sure what has changed since the last 5 reviews but my experience was much better. There were many machines operating with several being upgraded, but plenty open machines. Although not spotless the space was quite clean, yes maybe the floor needing sweeping, but overall ok. The floors looked they had been recently mopped. The machines were very clean and I would not hesitate to go back. Super hot dryers (if you use that selection) makes drying bulky items fast. Probably the best feature was payment was by debit or credit cards. read more

We have been using this Laundry Facility since July Over 50% of the machines are inoperable No access to the Restrooms Yesterday we used a 20lb washer and was overcharged. Should have been $4.00 We used 2 Dryers and were overcharged. Should have been $3.50 per Dryer My math says $11.00. Charged my Credit Card $14.50 read more

As we are rving in the area and needed to do laundry, I thought I'd try. Green Lightning Laundry Stopped by here to check the place out. Filthy. Garbage all over the floor. Half of the machines don't work. Others have water in the basin. Disgusting. I'd rather wear my dirty clothes again than do laundry here. read more

An even worse place than before. I only came here because I needed high capacity washer to handle my bedspread. None of the largest machines worked, only two of the next largest worked. Only four dryers work -- which you don't know until you've put money on and it doesn't heat up. No restroom. Filthy. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. read more

21 dryers and only three work. out of 18 washing machines only 4 work. Can not buy laundry soap. Dispenser is broken. Machines are pay by card only but most the machines have the card reader dangling by wires because of vandalism rendering them inoperable. Very dirty floor and tops of machines are dirty. soap dispensers on top have not been cleaned in a very long time. Showers are not available because there is no attendant on duty and no signage saying when they are supposed to be there. read more

This is the filthest laundry mat I have ever encountered. The machines that were running sounded like they were going to explode. I wouldn't recommend this laundromat to anyone. read more

This is the filthiest place I have ever seen, I can't believe it hasn't been shut down. It's disgusting and most of the dryers didn't work and didn't have any signage, many of the washers also were out of order. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I was happy the first time I used this place last week. in and out quickly. this time however I put my laundry in and left to run an errand. they locked the doors prior to the posted closing time and there was another customer sitting outside apparently in same situation. it's a 50-mile round trip for me to come here since my washing machine broke down. no one answers any attempts at phone numbers listed. been trying to call since last night to see if I should use the gas to come back or if they've already tossed my clothes. at least I have the record of call times for my attorney if I do not get my clothes back. read more

This place is a sh**hole. Dirty, inoperable equipment, Go elsewhere

Should have looked at reviews. Passing through and needed to do laundry, didn't have coins to go to Linda's as recommended and was told this place accepted card so I went. This place is grody to say the least, which is being generous. Floors are filthy, detergent loading area in the washing machines haven't been cleaned recently or ever (?). No attendant, of the dozen+ washing machines, only a couple were functioning. Of the dozen+ dryers, only 3 were working and when my stuff wasn't dry and I wanted to dry it again kept getting error messages so now down to 2 functioning dryers. Lint traps are locked so can't clean those out, and my laundry smells weird after leaving, does not feel clean. Don't know how this place is in business with so few machines running. Do not go here. I just hope I don't catch something from having to use this gross place.. Feeling grossed out in my bedsheets I washed. Also, very expensive. I needed to do 4 loads of laundry and 3 dryers multiple dry cycles to get dry and that was totaling over $70. Ludicrous. read more

Filthy. Absolutely filthy I don't believe these floors have been cleaned in at least six months. Add to that the horrendous smell when you walk in the doors. On top of all that, half the dryers are out of order, some have torn metal inside that will guarantee your clothes get torn. Only reason for 3 stars is it was cheaper than average (by just a bit) and the dryer worked very well. read more

absolutely disgusting facility if I didn't have so much laundry to do, I would not have done it here, but I had no other options at the time, extremely expensive and extremely filthy filthy floors and dryers and machines sound like they're going to I saw someone else put that in a review and it is true read more

Seemingly no human ever maintains the building or machines. Have lost probably $100 in the machines over the last year because they either take your money and don't run, or the machines shut off mid-cycle. Terribly dirty (I cleaned up feces off the floor one time I was there) and owner is non-responsive to phone messages. Options are limited in Florence for laundry, so it's worth it to head to Reedsport or Waldport to use their facilities instead. read more

This place is a joke, we're in town working a fire and needed to do laundry and get a shower. This place has a huge sign saying they have showers but they actually don't since the only way they offer them is if an attendant is present. They force you to buy their shitty non-refundable card to pay for their machines just to do laundry and when you try to contact someone they do t answer their phone. If you need your clothes washed don't come here !!! Avoid this ripoff like the plague. No doubt any money spent here is funding some scam artist read more

Greed at its finest!!!! 1) in order to wash, you must purchase their card. No cash, no credit cards options. What a windfall these hustlers are making. I'd say a lot of people never come back here and the balances on their card is never used but is a gain fo these crooks. 2) no carts to move your laundry around in from washer to dryer 3) laundry takes a bit of time, not bathroom facilities. I'm completely fine with a business making a living off me, but this is some serious greed going on. read more

Why don't we use the money we save on labor (by having no attendants) to fix the broken machines, of which half of them are - Including every large or mid sized washer. Or maybe we can hire an attendant to make sure no one can come in and just rip the card reader out of the detergent/dryer sheet dispenser? Came in and loaded my card without realizing the place was pretty much non functional as a business. Total shit-hole. read more

Prices are very expensive No one there to return money for machine that won't start when I was there three people lost $3.00 each. Nice little profit for them. No 'needs Service ' signs available' to prevent others fir trying to use the machine. read more

If I could rate this less I would. Washing machines are dirty and the laundry card readers for majority of the machines are broken but will take your credit anyways. You can load your card up and there is no way to get a refund for the malfunction machines. This is an absolute disgrace of a business. I left a voicemail on their business line and I'm waiting to hear back. There is absolutely no reason for my $20 credit to disappear after attempting to start a dryer after it continuously said: "reinsert card." Take your money elsewhere. read more

DO NOT STOP HERE. For starters, there was no afternoon attendant. Next, half of the machines were inoperable. Lastly, for the amount of money they charge, you would think they could at least keep the place clean. Trash cans were overflowing and the floor was a total mess. I had originally scoped out the laundromat up the road a bit, but was not paying attention when I turned into this lot, so shame on me. I couldn't believe this was the place that had such high praise. After checking Yelp, I realized I was in the wrong place. Oh well. read more

This is an absolutely filthy laundromat. I'm surprised the county doesn't shut it down or cite them. As soon as I walked in I turned around and went back to my regular laundromat which is so much nicer and cleaner and friendlier. Plus it's really expensive. $0.60 for 5 minutes of drying? Omg read more

This place is horrible! No soap for sale! Expensive! Dryer's do not work! And I had to use an non refundable card. Not one dryer was working! I washed and now have to go to a different laundromat and start all over. DO NOT COME HERE! I never will again. read more

You have to buy a card to use on their machines which is fine but the card machines don't accept coins as payment so you have to have paper money to load the cards. Half the machines are out of order. Several others don't have an out of order sign but they won't accept their own card. Several machines are clogged with powder detergent. When I started loading my clothes into one of the machines, some old detergent leaked out of the machine onto my hands and There is no sink anywhere to rinse my hands. ALL of the bathrooms are closed because of vandalism when there is no attendant around and there was no attendant to be found while I was there. Also the card machine does not offer you a receipt when you load money into the card. I am actually kinda shocked at how horrible that place was. read more

Green Lightning Laundry - Laundromat Near Me - Florence, Oregon

No attendant available. Bathrooms locked, showers locked. No cash or coin. Have to buy an "easy card" then put money on the card. No getting money back that you don't use. The laundry machine will take the money and then not start. This happened twice to me. No one around to help. Just lost $9.50 on two loads that wouldn't start. I would never come here again. read more

Green Lightning Laundry takes your money, but the machines don't work! We put 30.00 in 4 washing machines and they did not have any water! Had to take out clothes in all machines and look for another laundromat. Also the credit card machine was not working. When you try to call their phone#, it just rings and rings - no answer and no voice mail set up! So, there is no way to get ahold of anyone! Very frustrating to spend 30.00 for nothing! Other people were hsving the same problem and had to leave without doing their laundry! read more

the place has not been cleaned in some time. showers and restroom is not accessible. over half of the washers and dryers do not work. best to avoid this business. read more

If you want to do laundry go somewhere else. This place sucks. Not only is it super expensive, the machines are crappy. You're better off going to the river to wash your clothes. I'd give it negative stars if that was possible. There's a better laundry mat about a half mile down the road. Go there. I only came here because I was in a pinch and had to get mine done at this moment. read more

I can't believe that they can get away with such a scam!! You must buy a NON-REFUNDABLE card with CASH that cost $.49! What a ripoff. There no way to get in contact with anyone operating the scam. They say they have a website, but I was only able to find anywhere contact someone, so I could at lease curse someone else in person. This place is a first class scam! taking advantage of those traveling to the area. read more

Not good. It is clean. That's important. But most machines don't work. The cash change machine is broken and you have to use their card payment system. So if you only have a $20 bill, you have to put $20 on your card, minus the $.49 they charge for the card, you only get $19.51 in credit. No refunds on the balance or returned card. Albeit, you may not have a balance as their large washer is $11.25! There is also never an attendant and their restrooms and showers are only available only when a attendant is. Therefore, they are never open. Too bad. read more

The water is currently turned off.... Between us and another couple we had 6 washers going, none of which had water running in them. No website and non responsive phone number. I wasted 40 dollars on a pre paid card there so I can even get the rest of the money off it. And had to get my laundry detergent covered clothes out, pack them up and head to another laundromat. read more

About three weeks ago our family was driving through Florence on our RV trip through Oregon and it was time to wash clothes. Wife googled and found this place and sadly didn't take a look at the reviews. Two large washers were used as we're a family of six and when they were done only one unlocked. The other displayed a error code and flashed "Out of Order". The machine remained locked and we couldn't get our clothes. We immediately called (twice) the line listed on the walls of the facility. We waited and tried again and was only able to leave another message. Our itinerary needed us to move on (nearby) and we called to let them again know of our contact info and concern. No response to any of our calls. A week goes by and we call again. NOTHING. We returned home and called several times since and NOTHING. CASE HARRIS is the owner and should be ashamed for not responding to his customers. There were sentimental clothes my kids had to leave behind. Please make things right, Mr. Harris, and contact us to rectify this situation! My recommendation is to stay far away from this laundry and look for one that is responsive to their customers. Do not use Green Lightning Laundry! read more

I have been stuck using this place anytime my own dryer or washing machine at home break.... this has been 3 times over the last 10 years.... each time this place gets worst.... dirtier each time with the ATM and Change machine being broken all three times I had to go in there. Along with several machines being broken. I have never once seen an attendant there no matter what time of day I go so the bathrooms are always locked. Their prices keep going up as well. There is always little bits of trash everywhere and one time I went at night people sleeping on the benches inside. read more

I will not give them any stars that all! My clothes got trapped in the washer that went part way through the cycle and then decided it was out of order. Made at least a dozen calls over 4 days to see if anybody could get me some help. Customer service never gave a call back. Finally went to the laundromat today and my clothes have disappeared and no one in sight. I have never given such a bad review but if I could give less than zero I would. read more

I have used the laundromat in Florence, Oregon several times. It is always dirty. The dryers take your money but won't dry your clothes. The lint traps are so full that the dryer doesn't put out any heat. Times are tough enough, we don't need placing like this where you pay for a service and don't receive it. There is never an attendant on duty so there is no one to assist you! Come on, I would like to at least get my money back that your stupid machines took and didn't even dry my family's clothes! read more

3rd week in a row..ATM and cash change dispenser "OUT OF ORDER"! Really...you're in business to have all machines operating properly. Obviously the owner doesn't care about the inconvenience this causes the customer....who by the way puts food on your table. The only good thing going is the lady that works here. She's very knowledgeable, helpful and keeps this place very clean. Without her you might as well close the doors. One star for the owner...5 stars for the lady employee read more
