Absolutely the most friendly, effective, and helpful shipping store I've ever been to. I eloped recently on the Oregon coast and had a grand plan to ship my elopement flowers to an Etsy artist to create pressed floral art to commemorate the big wedding day. This required flowers to be packed and shipped quickly to maintain freshness. Of course these flowers are also sentimental and would not be able to be replaced so I called a lot of shipping stores to do my research on which one to go with. From my first call, the woman on the phone was so helpful and clearly invested in helping me pick the best shipping option- she advised me on the limitations of expedited shipping over the weekend and also gave good advice about not wasting my money on overnight shipping since ground shipping would still get my flowers to their destination within reasonable time at much less cost. When I actually showed up a week later, I worked with a different staff member, but he was clearly aware of my case already, gave me free packing paper to use in my project, and was so helpful in patiently giving me all my shipping options again and helping me tape up my box with Fragile and This Way Up stickers. I came on here to leave this place an amazing review. We were in Oregon visiting family when I bought some glass cook ware to take all the way home to Arizona! we flew in so I knew this wouldn't be an ideal way to take it home. We came in and had no clue where to start or how to package these items . An amazing lady I wish I knew her name she has brown hair, I assume saw me struggling lol and she helped us get our dishes packed correctly (lord knows I had no idea what I was even doing)! She took extra precautions and added peanuts and extra cardboard in the box! I am so greatful to her for this help because my items got home to Arizona self and sound! Five star all the way. In preparation for a week-long bike trip down the Oregon coast this summer, I knew I wanted to eat my own meals camping. I did not want to buy food ad hoc in local stores. Mainly to ensure the right amount of calories eaten. Similar to a thru hikers resupply while hiking trails like the Pacific Crest Trail. I resupplied mid-trip in Florence. I emailed Shippin Shack in advance, they were very accommodative in assisting me. Rather than mail my resupply box, I actually dropped it off as I was driving through some weeks before my trip. On day four I rode up, paid Shippin Shack their fee for service, and outside restocked my bags, then continued to Honeyman State Park for the night. Highly recommend. Wow, the customer service was unreal. I needed to return an amazon package and live in Reedsport. They took care of me in no time, helped me safely package and tape tags on as well with no anxiety on my part. Would highly recommend for your shipping needs. I not only have a mailbox here but use many of the services offered as well. Todd and Amanda (the owners) are both fairly laid-back people but exhibit a far reaching and detailed knowledge of the products and services at Shippin' Shack. I want to warn newcomers to Florence to think twice about using this establishment (in particular if you need something special related to pictures), there is a guy named Todd that does special projects I guess, he has no respect for customers timelines. If you leave a project with them for him no one seems know what he is doing on your projects, if you call to inquire about your project, it is my impression he comes and goes whenever he wants and gets around to it when he when he wants. I had a project in there for three weeks and when I brought it in he said in a few days, after a week or so had gone by we called three different times in the next weeks and each time we were told no one knows anything except he isn't there. Finally got fed up inquired with other places and found out I am one of many that have experienced this guy so save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere here in Florence where they know the true meaning of customer service and professionalism. read more

I would give it a zero if it were available. I was a regular customer and always thought the service was adequate, and the employees were friendly and helpful until my last visit. The man who helped me or attempted to name is Todd. I took in a simple order to have some receipts printed. This was over a week ago. I was told they would be printed up in a few days. Well anyway, after three visits I was told again that they were not finished with my job. Todd told me he was too busy, and it was a small job anyway, and he didn't have fu....in time. How do you use that kind of language to a customer? Some of my partners have warned me about Todd, but I have seen that attitude from him today. After Todd's rant, I told him he had just lost a customer. He shrugged and said he didn't care. That will be the last time my organization and I use Shipping Shack. There is competition in Florence for this store, and with an attitude like Todd's, they will suffer. read more

The owners of this place seriously are the BEST. The company is great... literally anything you need, they can do it! Like a Kinko's (Fedex Office) on steroids! We are so blessed to have them in town since we don't have a Fedex or anything. They have always been SO nice, no matter how busy they are. This place has given me peace of mind as I sell online often and can be in and out literally in one second and can rely on them to have my packages sent a reciept for my packages sent in my email everytime. Before switching to this business I had used another in town which cost me about $50 in losses after losing 4 of my packages and never offering a reciept or verification easily. The shipping shack if definitely the only business in town I would go to for dropping off packages and operated above and beyond what I could hope for in shipping services. This spring I decided to make a booklet containing memories about my parents and all my family and friends. I checked the on-line printing companies and then after comparing with Shippin' Shack and Todd's company found that his prices were very fair. But the best thing about shopping locally was the personalized service. By my deadline I was able to mail out 65 copies to those involved in the booklet submissions. This review is based on a ridiculous charge of $2 for printing 1 emailed shipping label! We are temporarily here for 2 months volunteering at the state park, I have no access to a printer and needed the label for return shipping of damaged merchandise...the people were very nice and I'm sure my package will handled appropriately but REALLY!!! If I feel like every question I ask is somehow putting you out or annoying you, then you need not to be working with the public. That's kind of your job to get me the information I need. We relocated from Florence last year and have used Shippin' Shack for our mail drop and forwarding until getting established in our new location. Prior to moving, we routinely used Shippin' Shack for sending packages and odds and ends to our children (our efforts to both downsize and to get even with them).
