Lives in a sketchy neighborhood on a gravel road that sounded like it is hard to find. Says they're too busy and forgot all about my message from a couple days ago. They could not even estimate a cost for doing 1 foot of stitchup work. A ballpark estimate before I make a longish drive would have been nice but none was forthcoming. She changed her Yelp business photo after our encounter. It used to have her business card showing and it said she did service at your home. Barview is a sketchy neighborhood too. As for no phone calls, I have POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) and no way to screen for junk calls so only those who know how to call me (8 rings) can get through since the junk callers quit ringing after 6 rings. I knew that she was very expensive in the past and I went here only because my normal place in Salem was too far. I could not go there for just a couple quick thin sweaters. I normally make one trip there in the summer for everything. When I went in there two weeks ago, she told me that my very thin sweaters not thick sweaters would be around $8.35 a piece. I wrote that down on my receipt when I left so that I knew. I knew she was still expensive for these thin sweaters, but I was willing to pay at this one time. Unfortunately, when there's only one dry cleaners in the area they can do whatever they want. When I went back there this Wednesday, she tried to tell me that my price was $35.85. I was shocked!! I couldn't even believe that that's what I heard and I told her no that's not what you told me and I said look at my receipt. This is what you told me and I looked her in the eye. She continued to argue. She did not want to refund me. She kept arguing with me and then eventually said well I'll give you a $10 credit. How about that? And I said no I don't ever want to come back here again. After I told her I would report this to Visa and that I would dispute it because I knew this was wrong . She then refunded me and voided the sale and charged me the normal price. I have never had anyone try to do this. It is a smooth, gypsy move that I have never experienced. Telling someone, one price then doing a full switch and bait!! I'm imagining she does this to people all the time and catches them off guard. Most people are embarrassed and don't want to say anything. On top of this imagine paying almost $12 for a thin ladies sweater. I have all types of sweaters I have thin, medium and thick. This is about $7.50 in Salem, maybe closer to $8.00 in McMinville. Please do not go here find somewhere else there are other dry cleaners in McMinville and in Salem I drive in order not to be completely ripped off. I can still save money even with the gas. No wonder people can't pay rent, buy food or gas because the people like this.

They had the best prices and they are the sweetest kindest people I've ever met. I hope they'll be here a long time and if they aren't, I hope their kids or family members will take over because this place is a jewel to find. I love the vintage feel it's old-fashioned, which is really cool. An old parking lot with big shady trees and inside beautiful kind people who will dry clean your clothes perfect. I've never seen my clothes so clean. I can't even believe it because the place I went to before was famous for cleaning clothes in an environmental way And then they closed down. I've gone through two dry cleaners that have closed down. Dry cleaners are extremely important and hard to find. Again, I drive from the coast I hope they're here 10 to 15 years because I'll keep coming back and bringing all my beautiful vintage clothing and coats which they clean so perfectly. They even found my bracelets and put them in a small pouch which I was so happy to find because some people would've stole them so they are very honest And they pack your clothes so carefully. The only thing I wish they didn't do is use as much paper on the hangers, but what can I do? I took all the paper off and recycled it and I'm keeping all the hangers and recycling and returning those as well to another dry cleaner nearby since it's kind of far for me. I don't regret the drive. I really love this place and I will be a good customer here for years and years to come.
