I knew that she was very expensive in the past and I went here only because my normal place in Salem was too far. I could not go there for just a couple quick thin sweaters. I normally make one trip there in the summer for everything. When I went in there two weeks ago, she told me that my very thin sweaters not thick sweaters would be around $8.35 a piece. I wrote that down on my receipt when I left so that I knew. I knew she was still expensive for these thin sweaters, but I was willing to pay at this one time. Unfortunately, when there's only one dry cleaners in the area they can do whatever they want. When I went back there this Wednesday, she tried to tell me that my price was $35.85. I was shocked!! I couldn't even believe that that's what I heard and I told her no that's not what you told me and I said look at my receipt. This is what you told me and I looked her in the eye. She continued to argue. She did not want to refund me. She kept arguing with me and then eventually said well I'll give you a $10 credit. How about that? And I said no I don't ever want to come back here again. After I told her I would report this to Visa and that I would dispute it because I knew this was wrong . She then refunded me and voided the sale and charged me the normal price. I have never had anyone try to do this. It is a smooth, gypsy move that I have never experienced. Telling someone, one price then doing a full switch and bait!! I'm imagining she does this to people all the time and catches them off guard. Most people are embarrassed and don't want to say anything. On top of this imagine paying almost $12 for a thin ladies sweater. I have all types of sweaters I have thin, medium and thick. This is about $7.50 in Salem, maybe closer to $8.00 in McMinville. Please do not go here find somewhere else there are other dry cleaners in McMinville and in Salem I drive in order not to be completely ripped off. I can still save money even with the gas. No wonder people can't pay rent, buy food or gas because the people like this.

The place was tidy fir being fairly busy. It is cat friendly and a few house cats who may be their security system..lol The showers, although old with peeling paint, were very clean. The $4 for an 8 minute shower gave me plenty of time to shower..including the 2-3 minutes for the water to get warm. Be cautious, especially for kids & elders as the water did get very hot .

The laundromats in our town are sketchy. That is all I am going to say about that. We hopped on google and yelp and decided to try Waldport. We had a 5 star experience at this laundromat. It was clean, most of the machines were working, it was not too busy, and our clothes got clean and dried. There is no bathroom and there are no vending machines for pop or snacks which might contribute positively to the clean aspect. We brought our own quarters. $3 to wash, $1.50 to dry. One quarter got eaten. Could have been worse, right? We did hear that they are not always open when they are supposed to be. I guess we lucked out. This was my kid's first laundromat experience that he remembers ( I was still married for our last one so that was probably 15 years ago). He loved it and now wants to own a laundromat. Lol.

I couldn't believe when I walked in there was a row ofAdirondack chairs with cushions, foot rest, and desks in case you want to get some work done. The machines do a clean cycle between everyone's wash. First visit your soap with nontoxic fragrance, free detergent and the dryer are free. I haven't been to a laundromat in decades, but I blew it washing a large comforter at the home washing machine. So walked in with a soaking wet, heavy comforter. She led me to the right machine which even had a comforter setting! I wish I'd taken a photo of the folding tables -- so clean! -- and also the "cafe-like" setting kind of upstairs . . .

I dreaded going to the laundromat, but I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the kindness of the owners. They are very helpful, making sure, if you need help, they are there to help. Also, Ryko, who works there in the evenings, is very helpful, carrying out your laundry to your vehicle. He takes ownership of the laundromat, maintaining the owner's standards, safe, clean, and friendly place to come, to take care of your laundry needs.

They said it would take a week and a half and they would call me when they were finished which they never did so after 3 weeks I decided to stop by to see if they were ready also, they charged me $18.00 for this piss poor job. I have trouble getting my clothes there and picking them up because of the bad business hours. They would get more business if they were open Tuesday - Saturday, 9 to 6.
