They made clean cuts, showed good attention to safety, and clearly have experience working with large, established trees. The tree still has a strong structure, and it's clear they focused on reducing weight and maintaining safety, which is important with a tree of this size. The only reason I didn't give a full five-star review is that the pruning was slightly more aggressive than expected, particularly with some of the larger limbs. I would have preferred a more gradual approach to preserve a bit more of the natural canopy and shade. Some never showed up, others were not very professional, and some were just not a good fit. Independent Tree Service gave a written quote, and made a follow up call a few days later. All of the other companies gave a quote, and were never heard from again. Independent Tree Service was fairly priced. They came in 30% cheaper than most of the other guys. One company came in too cheap, and gave me the feeling that we would encounter additional costs before the project was over. Independent Tree Service completed the project for exactly what they quoted. They showed up on time, and ready to work. The did exactly what they said they would do. The 2 trees were cut down, and removed safely with no damage to our house, or any surrounding houses. They took care of the stumps, and even chased the roots as far as they could. The front of our house was left very clean, and the guys even took some railroad ties we needed to get rid of. If I ever need a tree cut down, I will be calling these guys back!

The reason for me choosing one star is because of the ridiculously expensive estimate that I received, I was quoted $1250 , and $1000 after discount if I pay cash to remove already half cut a medium size tree . I called another 3 companies just to make sure I will not over pay , they all quoted less than $500 , I end up doing the job for $250 including removing the routes with a special equipment that grind the roots 2 foot below the ground. The person that I hired is licensed bonded and insured , it's took them less than an hour to finish it. $1000 estimate it's a rip off and I'm warning everybody to shop around and get another two or three companies for the estimate . And for this company I wish good luck and actually I don't think they're going to stay too long in a business.
