    Cab driver license plate number.

Line of cabs at Seattle Cruise Ship Port. Driver didn't run meter and charged our credit card on her own personal device. Over Charged $30 more than Uber/Lift and $40 more than Taxi service. Hotel is 16 miles from ship terminal / 3 miles from downtown, during off peak time. Charged us $80! We have taken this exact route before and know the rates, and our friends took the same route, same time, same day, but in a different cab, and was charged $46. Driver Argued and Lied when I questioned her rate and showed her rates from my phone. In addition, Driver got lost while driving us and asked me to use my own GPS to navigate her to our hotel. She also made a U-Turn in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic. Company won't answer the phone.

5/28 Seattle Ferry Terminal line of green cabs at exit. I'm an elder managing a heavy suitcase pressured to hurry to the directed vehicle at the end of the line. I heard $45 to airport but hearing impairment left me uncertain as to what I understood . Inside vehicle fare display $40. When I offered my credit card the driver explained something I again could not clearly understand that only cash was acceptable. Extremely fast , swerving in an out of traffic, slamming on brakes and absolute recklessness was, to say the least, unnerving. At drop off I gave him $40. He explained, again difficult to understand, $45 was the amount quoted. No point to argue and just wanting to get out of the vehicle, gave him $5. He made no move to exit and extended his hand mumbling something I could not understand. Then he extended his palm and traced the letters "TIP" with his finger. At this point I had the choice of getting change for $20 bill or giving him my last three $1bills. Choosing the latter, he agreed to remove my luggage and let me exit. The entire line up of vehicles at the ferry terminal looked and felt sleazy. I regret not using better judgement in choosing (they were the only taxi service there) this service.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS!.. AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY. HORRIBLE, CHEATS. Cool electric car, maybe company is OK but not driver #532!!!!!!

COMPLAINT! #532 ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! INTENTIONAL WRONG TURNS 3 TIME ALL INTO TRAFFIC. HORRIBLE. I was supposed to get in the east side taxi anyways. Stolen fare and international overcharging. Will never recommend this company to a friend. Thieves, I really feel like I got robbed.

I will be using this complaint line!

Dirty taxi, wanted cash and not a credit card, then upped the price to $60 when the meter said $53.

Driving used to be fun but not anymore…read more I took Driver's Ed in high school. Studied the WA DOL manual. Got up at 5am on the weekends and mastered parking maneuvers in empty parking lots. Practiced driving on I-5 and steering control on E Mercer Way. Passed the written and driving tests. It was a milestone celebration unlocking freedom and independence at 16 years old. Learned how to use the stick shift and feared the red light at 15th & Spokane St. on rainy days. Drove to Dick's on Capitol Hill with friends. Never had to share the road with electric bikes and scooters because they didn't exist. Never saw distracted drivers with smartphones because these devises weren't available to the public yet. We only had to worry about cars with California plates, the occasional BC plate, or someone who said, "DMV." ;p Driving in Seattle is different now. Traffic is worse. Nobody gives the "Thank you" wave anymore. I know someone who's been driving well over 10 years and they slapped a yellow New Driver sticker on their car and uses it as an excuse to drive like a crazy person. On I-5 I saw a guy texting at the wheel, saw a girl playing a game on her phone at the wheel. Cars without license plates, cars with expired tabs. People driving in the Bus Only lane, people driving with high beams. Motorcycle lane splitting. Witnessed illegal left turns from the far right lane and people driving down the yellow center lane. A lot of these habits and behaviors didn't happen when I first started driving. Seems like the WA DOL manual doesn't apply anymore. Unwritten driving rules taught and passed down by old school Seattleites are fizzling out. Those OGs have moved to Clark County near the WA/OR border, Eastern WA, out of state, and out of country. Gas is over $6+ a gallon and if theres an event near the stadiums parking can be between $70-$120. So if someone asks me why I take public transit, I have many reasons why. I take the light rail when my destination is near a station. I take it for peace of mind. I take it to save money. I've become mindful of my carbon footprint. The 2 Line trains from the Eastside are newer and cleaner than the workhorse 1 Line trains. There's the occasional smelly person, the sleeper, and the tweaker but I know have a choice to sit or stand away from them or get up and move. No fare gates or platform screen doors at the stations. Signage and announcements could be better too. As for the near future, I want to attend roll out celebrations for the Graham St. and Boeing Access Road infill stations. I'm also looking forward to the West Seattle and Tacoma expansions.

There are a lot of shortened operation times due to upgrades, maintenance and expansion. As large as the Seattle metro area is I'm surprised there wasn't public transit train installed and with good coverage of stops long ago. But it seems to be happening now. I think of Campbell Scott in the movie Singles and how his plan gets shot down for a broader commute expansion with trains for a plan he submitted. It almost feels like an inside joke and maybe it always was or has been for a long time living in the metro area. Recently we rode on the new expansion that goes to Federal Way. We rode the train up from the large transit center and garage there and it was nice and smooth. A bit long but so much less stress not having to drive. I have my Orca Card handy with me and it's easy on and easy off. Overall good experiences with this train system!

Now you can get here by taking the light rail. The light rail connection from Federal Way to Sea-Tac Airport and Downtown Seattle is a big win for the South End. It's pretty convenient since it's close to the I-5 ramps. I know it'll be a drop off point for folks heading to the airport, work and school. The best thing about the 1 line is that it takes you right into downtown Seattle and UW without having to transfer to other lines. Plus, if you get on at the Federal Way station you'll get first dibs on prime seats. Hi-Five, right? Just like the named art piece at the station. The track feels like the Canada Line SkyTrain from Richmond to Vancouver, BC. No fare gates so fare evasion happens all the time. No platform screen doors like Sea-Tac Airport's underground trains so pay attention and don't fall on the tracks. As for tourism, some people may opt to stay in hotels in Federal Way rather than downtown Seattle or SeaTac. With this new light rail station, it's only a couple stops away from Sea-Tac Airport and less than an hour to Westlake Station/Downtown Seattle. I'm sure hotel shuttles will be a common sight at this station too. I always saw shuttles at the Angle Lake station whenever I dropped fam and friends off. They have public restrooms at this station. Hopefully during Summer 2026 they'll have enough Honey Buckets for stations that don't have restrooms. With all the games, concerts, and special events at the stadiums plus heatwaves there's going to be a lot of beverage consumption. Federal Way doesn't have free on-demand shuttle service like Bellevue. People will still have to use their car to navigate around the business district. As Federal Way grows, I'm curious how the city will shift from being car-centric to pedestrian-friendly. They don't have to reinvent the wheel. They just have to study the growth blueprint of Lynnwood and Redmond, ask them about their successes and failures, then apply whatever fits the needs of this South End community. I just hope Federal Way finds passionate, experienced urban planners who have the best interest for this area. I'm ok if the city takes their time strategically planning growth as long as they're thoughtful about the PNW environment and the people they serve. Anyway, the Federal Way Link Extension grand opening was a fun celebration. Lots of people showed up. Not everyone was able to get on the first NB train though. They had food trucks, activities, and pop-up tents with freebies and swag bags plus they had ST Merch. It was a successful party. Next up? The 2 Line Crosslake Connection.

I stopped at the Thriftway just because there was a stop there and got to buy some nice little snackies. As we rode around, I saw businesses I want to try. I had no idea there was a Melting Pot nearby, so I'm gonna take Mom to the station near the Tacoma Dome, take the train there and have our fondue, then have a little adventure riding the rails. Why not? It's cheap and it's fun.
