I took my vehicle to Green and White Automotive to get a smog emission test several years ago and the person who was supposed to to test my vehicle had moved my sideview mirrors moved in such a way where I couldn't see the back of my vehicle and this was done intentionally. And that man also did something to mr daylight running lights where the driver side daylight running lights never came on again. And when I came into the office to pay for the inspection one male employee told the other male employee almost to my face that I was stupid. I have used this shop a few times, personnel have been friendly enough and seem to be knowledgeable. However, I did think that their prices seemed high. So I did some research online and at 2 other shops and found that I was charged 2-4 times retail price for most of the parts. Labor was also quite high and hours worked are not itemized, only lump sums. I realize businesses must make a profit to operate and I have no problem with that, but I do believe these markups are excessive. read more

Surprised to find an honest mechanic!! These guys helped my daughter out tremendously by checking her engine after two others (including the dealership), gave two different explanations of why her check engine lights were on with $$$ estimate to "fix" the problem. Ultimately, there was no problem, Green and White reset the instrument indicators and she was on her way @ no charge. You Don't know How bad I regret to come here for a simple inspection!! It is the first time in my life that I have waited almost an hour for my car to be inspected without them having any customers To top it off, they take your car to drive in the street , which i have done it on others places and they don't do that, Also they make you fail the test for you to make repairs with them. If you tell them that you are going to do it on your own its fine, but when you return to re done the inspection again, they tell you that their machines did not work so that way your are coming bank and forward until the time that the state gives you expires and that way youll will have to pay the fee again. I Will never go there again or recommend. I took my car for what I thought to be minor service fix , kept overnight without them contacting me to let me know. I had to call early next morning to find out about my car! I was charged almost $200 for an unnecessary oil change and to get my car engine light resolved it would cost $1500!! of course I declined. The following week I went to auto zone , they found out quickly what the problem was in the matter of minutes, I purchase a $50 valve needing replacement, it was a Valve timing Solenoid and now the problem is resolved thanks to Auto zone. read more

I bought a car from an individual named Kevin on Facebook marketplace I paid over $5000 for car that was on there I come to find out two months later that the car wasn't his to sell. He had scammed me I learned that Kevin worked for green and white automotive and had financed a car through them Kevin had put $500 down on a vehicle and never made a payment never showed up for work again instead he put the vehicle on marketplace and found a sucker to buy it. Then he turned around and told green and white automotive that he loaned me the car and then I refused to return it. I had a bill of sale I had cash app receipts, text messages and a video recording of the conversation with Kevin. Green and white automotive were completely aware of what this gentleman had done to me. I'm a single grandmother raising my 3 grandchildren alone and it took me a long time to save up for this car. Green and white automotive had informed me that there was nothing they could do they wanted their vehicle back and if the Kevin the one that sold it to me could start to pay for the vehicle they would return the vehicle back to Kevin. I was robbed$5000 from one of their former employees. I filed a police report. And the cold heartedness of green and white automotive refused to help me press charges on Kevin they refused to help me with any part of retrieving my money or helping me keep my vehicle that I rightfully paid for. They allowed this man to get away with robbing me of $5000. This is not a Christian owned business because Christians don't operate that way. Jimmy which is a person that I was dealing with via text message is the most cold hearted individual I have ever dealt with. The owner of this establishment hasnt offered to speak with me or offer me any of condolences 4 anything. I was robbed and I feel that day we're a part of it. I am taking them to court over this. On 03/16/2023, the brakes on my vehicle would not go down at all. I had my car towed to Green and White Automotive on 03/20/2023. The automotive shop called me on 03/21/2023. They told me that the problem was with my brakes. They quoted me the price of $890 to flush and replace. I didn't know any better regarding pricing and at the same time, I was spending money on a rental car. I picked my car up on 03/22/2023. Exactly one week later, on 03/30/2023, I had the exact same problem on the way to pick up my son from school. The brake would not go down and the whole car shut down. I was on the beltway, luckily, there were some firemen that were able to push me into a shopping strip. I had my car towed back to Green and White Automotive the same day, as they had supposedly just fixed it one week prior. I had to pay $65 because it was out of range for the provider, through my insurance. I received a phone call from the automotive shop on 03/31/2023. Though it was the exact same issue as before, this time, they told me it was my transmission and it would be $3,000 to $4,000 to fix. The guy ("Joe" or "Joel"), suggested I check online for recalls. I told him that I would have the vehicle towed back to my house. We ended the phone call. I called him back and asked why they didn't see that it was the transmission when I took my car there the previous week. He ("Joe" or "Joel") told me that this time the machine gave them the code, but it didn't give them one the first time. He then said he would check with the technician that worked on the my car the prior week. I spoke to "Joe" or "Joel" again, on 04/03/2023, about why they didn't see this issue the first time, this time he told me, that they got a reading the second time, but not the first time. I had my car towed back to my house on 04/03/2023. I feel totally taken advantage of because I'm a female. If the issue was with the transmission on 03/30/2023, then that was the problem a week earlier. They just wanted to get money out of me. read more

Terrible customer service and questionable mechanical work. I have spent a lot of money with this shop over the past 6 months and have had numerous problems with the work they have done. The worst part is that they have treated me poorly in the process; recently I called ahead and they told me to bring my car in to see why the check engine light had come on, but when I arrived 30min later they told me they couldn't look at the car until the following week. Someone offsite was answering the phones during normal business hours and telling people they weren't busy, even though they had a full garage. Then when I arrived the lady at the desk acted like I was ridiculous for showing up... VERY poor service. This is only one example, I've got others! read more

Since when does a passed emissions test, SMALL streak in the windshield wiper on the passenger side, a license plate light in the daytime, and the THIRD brake light out, which some vehicles don't have at all, and working headlights, yes, working headlights, constitute a safety issue and failed inspection. WOW !!! I get it. Transparent in your presentation... G & W can repair it all, huh. NAHHHHHH...No thank u. Get it done somewhere else and stay on the other side of Spring!! I Got it ... It doesn't get any better than these guys. We've been taking our cars here for four years. Once, there was oil all over the floor of my garage under my car and I was convinced we had a serious problem. They told me it was just a $3 rubber plug! Another time, a dealer quoted my husband $2000+ to repair our truck; they did it for about $600 and said that the dealer was suggesting unnecessary repairs. Today, they fixed our car without charge. Granted, we've just serviced two other vehicles there in the past two weeks, but they could have and should have charged us for the third car today. Excellent customer service!!! I took my car in because it had been stalling and trouble accelerating, they figured out that it was a very simple fix basically something needed to be screwed on right. They fixed that up for me and only charged me for the diagnostic and no labor! After that my car had stalled one more time on me so i took it back just in case. I left my car there again so they could try to find out what was the problem. They drove my car around for a day or to to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Turns out my car was just fine so they called me and told me they weren't going to charge me for anything since they did not do any actual work on it. Ever since then my car has been working great!!! If you are thinking about taking any vehicle there you should!! They may be somewhat pricey but it is worth it!! read more

I was quoted $1700 to replace my AC compressor on my Nissan Sentra, and, the dealer only charges $1300. The parts are less than $500.

Do NOT take your car here! They tried to tell me all the wiring in my car was bad (the cigarette lighter used for plugging in my phone charger quit working), even though the lights, radio, etc still worked fine. They wanted to charge me nearly $1000 for the fix, but I declined. Took the car somewhere else, and the issue was a bad fuse. It was a $4 fix. I'd like to thank the gentlemen at Green and White for their honesty, and trustworthiness. I brought my Jeep in because it was having trouble starting up for 3 days straight (dying, wouldn't turn over etc). I dropped it off and they kept it for 2 days and started it on and off to figure out what the problem is. They couldn't find a reason why, because it was a freak thing! My car started perfectly every time with no trouble since they got it, and returned it. I'm relieved that that didn't try to tell me it was something it really wasn't and charge me a ton of money.. In fact they didn't charge me at all. Great customer service, and I'm glad to have found a mechanic I can trust! The ONLY thing I'd ask for was a little more communication, because I was never called,or informed what was going on or how long it would take which complicated things because I was borrowing my dad's truck and didn't have a clue how long I was going to need it or what to tell him. I just kept having to call them to get some sort of info which I didn't. But, very happy and will use them again. read more

I can't say enough how pleased I am with Green & White Automotive. A little over a year ago, they did some work on my 2004 Dodge Pick Up. The service, price, and total experience was OUTSTANDING! Now lets fast forward to today. I returned to the shop because I was experiencing an issue with coolant leaking again; water pump replaced a year ago during my last visit. I was pretty sure it was my water pump, and quite honestly, I wasn't sure if it was still under warranty. Upon speaking with Scott, he very quickly said that ALL of their work is covered for 2 years, or 24,000 miles!! Most impressive was the fact that he never lost his smile while explaining that. He agreed to take a look, and assured me that if indeed it was the water pump, it wouldn't cost me a penny. Well, it was the water pump. Scott and his team had me in and out in a little less that 2 hours!! He continued to apologize to me, but a bad part from the factory is hardly their fault. He asked that I not loose confidence in them as a business because of the return? Quite the opposite!! I now have far MORE trust and confidence in them as a business. Describing their shop as busy today at 6:45 am would be an understatement. However, they made sure that I was helped in record time, even though they could have chosen to assist a "paying" customer before me. That speaks volumes to me as a consumer. It's sad to say that some Mechanics would not have chosen to stand behind their work. It would have been very easy to tell me that something else was wrong, charge me for another repair, and then replace my water pump anyway to defray their loss. But not only did they NOT do that, they completed my warranty work as efficiently and enthusiastically as they did the initial work over a year ago. Never buy a vehicle from Green and White Auto, I made that mistake. They sold me a car knowing the air bag system may not be working. The air bag warning light was on, sales manager Josh DeMasters told me the system had been checked and the system was working. I found out later that the system had not been checked and he didn't know if the system was working or not. I wanted Green and White to be responsible for checking the system and fixing anything that was wrong, Mr. De Masters refused quoting "Caveat Emptor" and "purchased as is". If Green and White didn't know of this issue before the sale I would agree but they did and now refuse to correct the problem. I asked him to have the owner of Green and White contact me, he refused and said "that will never happen". One of the reasons I did business with them was there reputation for honesty and service, Beware this reputation it may just be smoke and mirrors. read more
