I have eaten here two days in a row. The first day my wife paid. I enjoyed #6 Combo, 1/4 chicken, beef kebab, rice pilaf and pita bread. My wife ordered a gyro sandwich. She gave $40.00 she got back a dollar and change. We were sitting waiting for our food and I noticed the tip jar. I asked my wife if she had any change so she gave me the dollar and change that she got back from her $40.00 to put in the tip jar. We got the food, went home and ate it. We both enjoyed what we ordered, except my wife said the gyro was a little small. Today I had to run to town and thought to myself "that meal I had yesterday was good, I think I will stop again today", so I did. I thought my wife would like what I had yesterday, so I ordered 2 of the #6, 1/4 chicken, beef kebab, rice pilaf and pita bread. I ordered this through the drive thru and sure if I heard correct or not, when she said " that will be $59.69". I drove up to the window and she said "that will be $59.69". I asked her how much each order cost, $29.?? she said. I was thinking I can't eat here anymore, this food is way overpriced. Here's the thing, the meal would have cost $19 and change had I have not substituted the chicken kabob for the beef. Substituting the beef cost an additional $9 and change. I don't believe there is any justification for this. Maybe if they left in the chicken kabob and charged the $9 and change for an additional beef kabob, it would seem a little more reasonable. Almost $10 for one beef kabob? No way. Look, I get that with the cost of goods, the price of diesel to deliver the goods and the increase in minimum wages, the consumer is the one paying up for this. But I still can't justify the pricing for the #6 combo. read more

This place single-handedly got me to like salads. The Greek salads are amazingly flavorful despite not being drenched in dressing, the ingredients make the flavor and you can tell. The white meat chicken is usually dry, but the gyro meat is always great with their tzatziki sauce so I always go for that. The older, presumably greek, guy who's behind the counter is nice, though the other staff aren't anything to write home about. The decorations give a good Mediterranean vibe too, though the food is definitely the main draw. read more

We came here the other day for lunch and I was pretty impressed. I ordered the gyro and my husband ordered the chicken gyro. Although I wouldn't necessarily call it "Greek" food it was still pretty tasty. Everything was seasoned well and the portions were more than enough for one meal (I had leftovers). I just want to preface this by saying I go to this place often and have always loved their food, especially their zucchini fries and burgers. This is a warning to the owners, if anything. I have many friends who come visit me in Fallbrook and it's a tradition to come here and order take-out. However, I was unexpectedly met with something that could have caused a serious injury for someone else. As I bit into my delicious burger, I felt a hard piece of something between my teeth. I pulled it out and it was a metal wire. I would hate to see a place like this shut down because of a careless mistake and the potential serious choking hazard to a child or someone who was not paying attention as they were scarfing down a burger. The salad could only be described a soggy feta cheese with a side of lettuce. The young lady up front was super pushy, very standoffish and just plain rude. The only time she was friendly is when she announced she had undercharged me and wanted to add an extra 5 dollars. The only saving grace would be the fried zucchini, which was not even that good. I've eaten here too many times to ever count and a lot of the food is absolutely delicious! The restaurant inside is beautiful with many plants and an entire pond of gorgeous Koi fish. On this day, I ordered one of my usual favorites... chicken kabob. The bell pepper tasted horrid and the onions were a bad texture so I just ate the yummy pieces of chicken with the delicious pita bread. The second chicken kabob tasted disgusting and I literally spit it out into the bag the garlic bread came in. I put that kabob in the bag with the gross vegetables and finished the rest of the meal. Because I PAID good money for the meal I asked them to please replace the nasty kabob with a fresh tasting one and I didn't even mention the garlic bread was also gross. So the man takes the bag and goes to the kitchen. I go to sit back down and momentarily later he comes over to the table to tell me the kabob wasn't burnt it's made on a grill and that's how they look. I explained to him that the OTHER kabob tasted delicious as usual and THIS one was nasty and yea it did taste burnt too or maybe a DIRTY grill? Anyhow he proceeds to repeat the SAME thing over and over about how they use a grill. I was nice at first saying I know that, I eat here all the time and never have issues with the food but THIS time the ONE kabob was GROSS. His response was about the grill again. He said he was making another kabob to replace it however he also felt the need to continue to stand there like a broken record saying the same thing. I called them and she said, "oh we were really busy and forgot to put it on so we will give you 2 free sauces next time. Wait.... I said "so the sauce that comes on the Gyros you have to pay for too?" I have never paid for gyro sauce, it always comes with the sandwich. This place is my guilty pleasure. I miss my kids being in school cause I would stop here once a week to treat myself. I always order the #5 which is 1/4 chicken, gyro meat and a side greek salad. I would also order a small pilaf, small fry with a small feta cheese and poor the cheese on top to make them into feta fries. I honestly have not tried any other items cause I am so hooked to the #5 by I've heard from several family members who live locally that they have great chicken salads and fried zucchini.
