This is a special wee place to catch a show by some of Canada & beyond's best artists. With only 75 seats, the vision of the owners is to create an intimate setting where musicians feel at home and the audience is left awestruck... Mission accomplished! The cafe serves up some of the island's tasty items including fresh seafood like halibut, fish cakes & mussels plus burgers, tacos, salads and charcuterie plates that are all farm-to-table fresh and high quality. Bar includes beer, wine and some spirits. There's also a 4 room inn upstairs which looks amazing. Shows sell out quickly so best to buy tix in advance. If you love music, do NOT miss this experience!

Great food, warm service and a live music venue that brings in acts that fill much, much larger venues. It appeared to have one server on, with a couple of table runners. The chef did come out at one point and asked how it was. Everyone was friendly and inviting. The oysters were fabulous! Clean and bright. The seafood chowder was the best I have had here on island. The club was good, on focaccia that was tasty. The cappuccino comes in a teeny cup. Beer available. We asked for the non alcoholic one on the board, was told they had been out for quite a while and offered a different one (take it off the board?) The lobster roll. Ok, it was small for the price. The roll it was in was heavy and overwhelmed the lobster with flavour. The dressing in the lobster was tasty, but it did not taste fresh and bright as the roll was so much. I would definitely go back for the chowder. Skip down to the lobster shack for their lobster roll if that is what you are looking to eat.

The coffee is really good, and I would place the taste somewhere in the middle of Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I had the pleasure of enjoying a box of "Timbits" with the folks I was with. Timbits are what they call the donut holes known as Munchkins at Dunks. Having these for the first time was pretty interesting. I'm used to the standard Munchkins (choco, glazed, plain, jelly, etc) so when I had my first strawberry filled, sour cream glazed Timbits it was a heavenly treat for my palate. I think the coffee is good but I measure my coffee by dunks and Starbucks so I can't say it's 5 stars as I like Dunkins better.

They were super knowledgeable about what was gluten-free and suggested great substitutions so I could still get some protein (since many GF options are meat-based). The owner let me know that this location has a separate gluten-free fryer -- something she personally added to avoid cross-contamination for items like fries. She mentioned this isn't standard at all Mezza locations, so it's worth checking ahead. She even brought out the ingredient list for the spicy fry coating to confirm it was safe. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and aware -- we felt really looked after. Definitely coming back!

When we arrived there were no tables to be had inside, & we heard they'd been slammed all day. A table cleared quickly enough & we chose coffee & chocolate milk, a couple of full breakfasts for $8, two breakfast sandwiches for about $4, & a kids hot dog, which came with apples and caramels sauce. Everything was good quality, from the extra large hot dog on a proper bun, not a flimsy white bread one, to the bacon. We were totally impressed and our total bill only came to around $35 for five hungry folks. Given the dearth of good eating choices nearby, this is a no brainer and we were so glad it was there!
