This place did not meet my expectations, as I had heard great things. I ordered a plate, and the chicken tasted somewhat fresh, it was flavorless along with the entire plate. I would have preferred it cooked more on the well done side, but maybe that's not how they cook it. I thought the fries that came with it would at least have salt on them, but not even that. I got a side greek salad as well, which was ok but just an average salad. I also asked for the tzatziki on the side and they put it on it. I probably wouldn't come back. The Burlington Mall is my favorite mall that I have been coming to for many years. I have seen so many changes here and been wanting to try this restaurant. I've heard different opinions so I wanted to try for myself. I am Greek so I know what the food is like. This a fast food for Greek cuisine. And an emphasis on fast as it's not authentic at all. You pick your meat, either in a wrap or plate. Then you pick a sauce and with the bowl you choose a side. I chose the chicken gyro , which comes with onions and tomatoes with spicy feta sauce and zucchini chips that comes with tzatziki sauce. Where do I start. Where was the chicken? It was cut very small, very thin, the worst chicken gyro I've had. And I've been to many restaurants where the chicken is real. This was so thin, they say it's a mixture of chicken breast and thighs. I think it was mostly thighs. The onions were small, only the tomatoes were decent. What a disappointment! The zucchini chips were not bad but I had to go up because they forgot the best part, the tzatziki sauce. The spicy feta wasn't bad either. Well this is fast food at best and just know the real Greek restaurants give you real chicken that is tender and tasty. I glad I am but can see it's not the best. Very tasty fast casual Greek food, I'm in! The place looks likes it's in Greece, white and blue decorations and casual atmosphere. Plenty of seating and they have an outdoor patio as well. The service was quick friendly and efficient. They were slinging plenty of to go orders too so you have that option as well. Right in the mall so plenty of parking and again tasty Greek grub. Hey Journey B you have beautiful responses to every review but your doing nothing to help this business, get the old greek woman out of that store she is hurting your business. She is cheap and is skimping everyone's food, and it seems like many others have complained before. Your 3.5 is dropping. Ive been a customer for years getting loukoumades. I got 2 orders the other day that $16-18 for not protein or meat - flour, ( in which I would gladly pay for if it was..forget a generous portion- lets say just as the Newbury street location made just a few days before for me.) The moment I was handed the 2 boxes I opened them immediately because they felt so light. They were the smallest I've ever seen. So I asked politely "these are so light I've just shopped at the other location on Newbury and it was much bigger and heavier" she replied "this is what they want us to do now" with attitude and like sorry no customer satisfaction here. For deep fried flour? I'm sorry I felt completely scammed. Imagine the others who spend more and get fleeced. The woman has poor communication skills and customer service skills and is obviously a cheap aunt who doesn't give enough on Christmas. Get her out and let your business thrive. read more

I'm a huge fan of Greek Cuisine. This place did not quite satisfy my cravings. I'm a much bigger fan of Cava. Service was good, but I waited 10 minutes for my chicken skewers. That would be fine if they were fresh chunks of chicken. They had a weird consistency. They were like frozen chicken chunks not made naturally by cutting up a real piece of chicken. It's like they cubed left over chicken scraps. Not my style at all. It gave me Subway vibes. All the stuff you want is mixed into one cardboard bowl. Your salad with dressing sitting with your hot fries. That would work if you were making a rice bowl or greens bowl, but this is like different sides and they're mashed into one container. It's not a great idea. The inside of the place is nice. Overall I was disappointed. They're on the cusp of making it decent. The ingredients were fresh. Fries were good. I would pass on the chicken. Greco is a fast casual Greek eatery serving up made to order pitas, plates, salads, souvlaki skewers, feasts, loukoumades, frappes, Greek Mountain iced tea, and orange blossom lemonade. The pricing is moderate. The food is prepared to order from behind the glass counter, down the line to the register. There is indoor table seating with hard seating and outside patio seating in front, I stopped by Greco in Burlington recently for takeout. I ordered a Plate ($15.50 plus tax) which includes choice of sauce (chose tzatziki), choice of protein (chose pork gyro), choice of one side (chose rice, served with pickled onions, tomatoes, and warm pita bread. The plate was made quickly after giving staff my choices. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. I enjoyed some of my plate (actually a shallow bowl) on the outside patio seating area. The pork gyro meat was carved and very lean, over soft rice, dense creamy tzatziki sauce, soft warm pita and pickled onions and tomato slices. This gyro plate was very tasty with good flavors. Ordered the Mixed Grill and it delivered! At $45, the Mixed Grill is an excellent value. The platter was piled high with chicken gyro, lamb chops, pork, and beef. All of the meat was tender and juicy. The Mixed Grill easily feeds three people. Greco is family run, as it started in Boston, MA and has begun to branch out. You definitely get the authentic Greek restaurant experience in a laid back, casual vibe. We dined outside, as there was ample outdoor seating. When my now-husband and I lived in Boston, we discovered Greco and got dinner there at least once a week! We can't get enough of their Greek food and honestly dream of their zucchini chips. Even after we moved, we'd brave Boston traffic just for Greco so imagine our excitement when they recently opened a location in Burlington right in the Mall!! Decent spot for Mediterranean fast food. Located at the end of the mall with big windows. It's the usual assembly line setup restaurant. The food was warm, portions were smaller than I expected but okay overall. I got a gyro, salads and fries. Gyro was tasty, loaded with seasoned fries in between. The salads were okay but the portions were smaller. Their side order of fries was the same fries that's been sitting on the assembly line. I was hoping they would have given me crispy fries. The owner insists that they prepare their food the same at all locations so it must not translate well to less foot traffic areas. Greco on Newbury is easily 4.5/5 stars but the Burlington and Hub Hall locations are more of 3/5. Whether it's the worker preparing the food or the fact that it's been sitting there, it just doesn't taste as fresh and flavorful as the Newbury Street location. I ordered two plates to go. While I waited, the hot top chef was warming up pitas. They looked yummy. Trouble is, despite it being included in the description for the plates, when I got home, I didn't find any in my order. Also, the baba ganoush tasted almost fishy for some reason. Raw kale isn't my fave, either. The steak was not tender. I expected some feta with the salad. Some things were tasty, others not. At least the tomatoes were ripe. Expensive, but I expect that from the Mall restaurants. Update: Turns out, I ordered something that didn't come with pita. Weird, buying food from a Greek restaurant and having to pay extra for pita, when the plate was already $16+. With extra pita, and not sure what that cost, I'm not paying $20 for a salad. I wanted to try this new establishment Greco's at the Burlington Mall for an early dinner. I have to say I don't really review food establishments unless they are amazing! I'd like to first start with the decor. It's very clean and the vibe is really fresh and alive! The servers were fantastic, attentive and super friendly! Now to the food... I ordered a chicken gyro platter with pita, hummus, zucchini chips and coleslaw. My wife got the lamb gyro with rice, tzatziki and pita. The food tasted amazing especially the gyro meat which is made in the traditional way using pieces of meat rather than the typical ground gyro meat. Very tender and juicy! On our way out we ordered the Loukoumades (Greek donuts) with the cinnamon, honey and walnuts to go. I just tried them when I arrived at home and I have to say they were the best I ever had at a restaurant anywhere in the world (and I do try them whenever I am at a Greek restaurant)! This is one of the ways I gauge Greek restaurants to see if they can make it in the authentic ways. They are soft and airy on the inside and crunchy on the outside with the right amount of sweetness from the honey! This place is going to be my go to Mediterranean Restaurant in Burlington! I went to Greco to get a pita gyro and they put barely any pork in my gyro which I am very disappointed because any other place I go to does not rip you off with the portion I got half way thru my gyro and all I could taste was the tzatziki in the photo on the menu you see a good sized gyro and mines was not even close to comparable I will not be coming back food was great but totally a rip off read more

I probably will not return. Lemonade, iced tea, and coffee was good, but the rest was not good. I got a lamb gyro. Normaly the meat would be shaved, but this place has it preshaved sitting in a bin like Chipotle. It had some flavor but was dry. Daughter and wife got a chicken bowl. Similar to mine, the chicken was preshaved and dry. Other daughter got a beef gyro. She said it was good, but unlike the others, the beef was not shaved. It was a couple patries that were reheated. The greek fries were not good. They were cold and they just put crumbled feta on top. They do not put ittunder the burner so you have cold feta on cold fries. It cost $92 before tip. I paid a tip at the POS before I tried the food so all in it was over $100 for fast casual. Gave 3 stars because they are new and I did not want to be to harsh. read more

During my three visits to Greco, the people have been very nice. I always order the Pita sandwich, with different meats/protein during each visit. Unfortunately, my sandwich is lukewarm or cold. In my humble opinion, each sandwich should have freshly shaved hot meat off the skewer. I understand that if you have a line out the door, you might have to precut your meat. But please, put the meat back on the grill to heat it back up! When I arrived yesterday at 6 pm, there were only several people eating in your store....no long lines, yet your protein was sitting in the meat bins. I have never seen a restaurant that doesn't shave off their Gyro meats for each customer's order, or at least reheats the beef for each order. I think every new restaurant should offer a standard of excellence, which yours has not risen to as of yet. Please remember, you only get one chance to leave a first impression. Good luck! read more
