Took my 14 and almost 10 year old for two nights to this location. While it is older and shows its age...it still was a ton of fun! Omg, my boys and I had a great time on all of the slides, wave pool, fortress and jacuzzis. It's expensive, but I knew that going in and there was a great sale at the time I purchased our rooms. So it evened out. AND we took advantage and stayed until water park closing at 8pm each night. We had dinner off site to save some money. Bfast for three at Dunkin Donuts was $47 ouch but hey, it's expected. All in all we truly had the best time, made memories and bonded on all of the rides. Tip: go on river canyon run at night and it's basically pitch black. Same with triple twister. So so so much fun. Also buy the refillable supper for $

My kids had a blast. They are 8 and 10 sonprobably the perfect age. I can't imagine theyd like it as much when theyre a little older becaise the slides werent super thrilling but they took advantage of every aspect of the resort which is not cheap. They were out of a lot of drinks and the room wasnt the cleanest. We later learned it had recently flooded though. The service was mostly fantastic. These are the friendliest lifeguards weve ever seen.

Lazy River

Still one of the most perfect places to take small kids too if they enjoy the water. We've been to the one in the Chicago area so we were excited to try this one. I still stand by what I say when it comes to bringing your own snacks/food and take advantage of the nearby restaurants and/or grocery stores. Some advantages or disadvantages, depending on the age group you're traveling with. The Chicago location has a smaller young kid area whereas this one is much bigger and a little more to do. The wave pool and lazy river in Chicago is much bigger than this location. Since they provide life jackets, my kids have really enjoyed all that is offered and that they're able to do. My kids didn't play golf or arcade games because they just wanted to swim but both looked really cool. A few food places and ice cream shop inside the resort and a Build-A-Bear. Due to the weather, didn't get a chance to experience the outside pool but I know we'll make it back.

Hair and grim in the bathtub (zoom in)

We got day passes at the Great Wolf Lodge last year and had a wonderful time. Based on that experience, we decided to get a room for a few nights for my son's birthday. Overall, the entire experience was miserable. When we got to our room, we discovered a hair covered bathtub and a floor littered with nerd candy that my young son was more than delighted to eat. Once night came, we all went to bed. There were older kids running up and down the hallways banging on doors (including ours) throughout the night. None of us slept well. We all got up tired but excited to go down to the water park. Overall, the waterpark was...okay. The water seems a lot colder than last year (even though we went at the same time of year), we had to remind the towel check in guy to scan our bands so that we didn't get charged for towels, and even though we were there during the week at 10:30am, it was still nearly impossible to find two chairs together. The place was packed. We stayed in the waterpark for a few hours but eventually went back to our room to warm up. All of the hotels other activities are expensive addons and the food is expensive as well. The overall experience is very predatory. Every time you turn around there is another money grab. They charge $20 a night for parking and hold $100 PER night that you stay as an incidental hold fee, so be prepared for that. We decided as a family that we did not want to stay another day / night, so we ended up forfeiting our money and heading home an entire day early. Before checking out, I stopped by the gift shop to grab a small toy for my son. Most of toys were lacking price tags. I grabbed a plushie that I knew my son would like (and that had a price tag on it) and went up to pay. They tried to charge me $16 when the tag price said $12. I pointed it out and had to wait 10 minutes for a manager to come correct the price. The best part... I chose to check out at the front desk instead of the AI service, so that I could talk to an actual person. I wanted to explain why we were leaving a day early. No apologize for the dirty room...nothing, I was told that I should have contacted a care member if I wanted it fixed and that they couldn't do anything about it now and that they would get me checked out. We left and drove home. Later that night, we started receiving emails about extending our stay. After being on the phone for a while and talking to several people, I figured out that the person at the check out desk never actually checked us out. I would love to know what extra charges would have incurred had I not figured that one out. Will not be staying there again. Have never felt the need to waste my money by leaving a hotel early. I just feel bad that I wasn't able to give my son the birthday that we had planned on it being.

Pizza

Brought grand kids here for a weekend getaway. Kids had a great time and didn't want to leave. Pizza was pretty good. Buffett for dinner was mediocre. Breakfast buffet was really good every day we were there. Place is very large and has a hard time finding things at first. Place is definitely a money pit and kids will want everything there and will make you go broke. Room was clean and nice. Waterpark was good. Kids only played in wave pool and lily pad pool area. Kids got cold so we got in hot tub. Very very crowded. Kids got the MagiQuest wand and game and they really enjoyed it but a little tough for them to understand how to play and where to find things.

This is a nice place to visit your family. It's right off the highway and about 15 minutes away from other restaurants and Walmart. The rooms were a little dated. The food was pricey. It gives off a resort vibe. There are TONS of things for the kids to do and enjoy. I would suggest having a policy in place for seating. All of the seats were taken in the pool area. We sat there for hours, and no one came to claim the seats. It should be a 2-seat maximum per family, and if you're in the pool for an extended time, you shouldn't be able to hog seats. We watched people get frustrated and not be able to enjoy the pool due to no seating. We got caught in the middle of a tornado, so we had to evacuate to the first floor. That was an experience. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

Went for a weekend getaway with my partner and enjoyed every second of it ! I had a discount from work, otherwise I may not have found the price of the actual stay worth it. There are obviously a lot of attractions for kids, but were kids at heart and found a lot of ways to have fun ! Our room had a whirlpool tub which would have been great, but our jets didn't want to come on. The bed was super comfy though ! And the room was the most spacious room I've ever booked. All of the food we had was amazing. We went to the restaurant for dinner one night. The food there did seem a tad overpriced, but it was good. Nothing weren't not used to coming from Bloomington, IN. The buffets both had a lot of options. This may seem overpriced if you don't eat your moneys worth. The pizza place was really good. And all of the drinks were fun ! The staff was excellent ! Everyone was super friendly and conversational. A lot of the workers looked like they really loved their job. The only thing I can say there is, I wish some of them would have spoken up. A lot of people tended to whisper which I could understand in a pretty loud environment. My only complaints would be (besides the whirlpool not working): I wish there was an easier way to find a map of the place. Once we found our way around it wasn't so bad, but at first we were very lost. And at check-in, they connected my card to my wristband which I thought was great so I didn't have to bring my card everywhere. However, I found that didn't work for most of the card readers. I had to go back to my room any time I wanted to add tokens to my card in the arcade. Everywhere else let you charge your room which was great. I would definitely come back ! Perhaps next time I'll time it to when kings island is open. Tips: bring your own snacks/drinks/lunch/watershoes if possible ! It made the trip a lot less costly.

To simulate the experience, get in a bathing suit, blind yourself with chlorine, walk around Walmart and lose 200$

Ask the Community - Great Wolf Lodge

Dunkin' Donuts , Is the food the same price as it is outside of great wolf?

No, it's slightly more expensive, but nothing crazy.

I recently booked a stay for an upcoming weekend but was warned about possible bed bugs. Has anyone who has stayed recently seen any? I definitely don't want to go if that's a good possibility.

Our room was clean when we went

Is it worth $6 to upgrade to a room close to the water park? Are the rooms louder due to being more crowded?

It's worth every penny. I didn't notice any excessive noise and we were very close. But keep in mind it's kid oriented so if there are people above you you'll hear them regardless of location.… Read more

There was a mini-type fridge with some water in it but I couldn't tell whether the water was included or extra. There was no separate refrigerator which is a shame being there are so many restaurants in Liberty Center. The room was cozy and the bed very comfortable but there wasn't a lot of amenities. There is a small mini-safe, iron and ironing board and a small area where you can hang a few clothes. The shower is kind of an open style shower with no door. These rooms aren't designed for long stays. The big draw would be it's in Liberty Center and you can shop, eat and drink and not have to worry about driving. I would recommend for one night but probably not more than one. Rooms are in the $200 plus range. There is a bar area on the 2nd floor and it is nice. If you elected on getting breakfast in the morning it's is around $14 a person. There is a small store in the lobby with sodas and snacks for purchase. There is parking near the hotel but if you've never been here before, I would recommend you come early so you can locate it. We stayed overnight because we went to a comedy show at the Funny Bone which is within walking distance. I do recommend.

After the first night I saw a bedbug crawling on my pillow, I panicked and killed it immediately, leaving a bloody streak as bedbugs do. I told the front desk who switched my room, but the first room they gave me had people in it already. The second room was empty and had several unfinished drywall repairs in the bathroom. Upon checking out I was told they would comp me for one night, when I asked for both because I did not sleep the second night and knew I would have to clean everything immediately upon getting home, the manager said she'd ask the owner and get back to me. We flew home at 11pm and had to immediately inspect and clean all of our belongings. I received no call, I sent 2 emails and called again and was told the owner said no but she would have them call me. After still hearing nothing I emailed corporate who assured me the "owner" would contact me and still hasn't 2 weeks later. I had to several bedbug bites that welted, and paid to have the worst experience I have ever had and still feel disgusting from staying there.

Overall, the stay exceeded expectations. The staff was amazing, the room was clean, and the bed was beyond comfortable. So happy we chose this location. I was initially hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I am glad I gave it a try. The first evening, we attended the manager's reception, which was nice, though it could use a little improvement. Let's throw in some cheese. Breakfast was great, especially the custom made omelet with sausage, jalapeños, onion, cheese, and spinach. They had an awesome breakfast spread overall. Really appreciated the early check in (room was ready via the app) and the late checkout. As a Diamond member, I loved the "princess parking" reserved for Hilton Honors Diamond guests but there was plenty of parking overall. Not to take away from anyone's experience, but honestly, this was a great stay so surprised at some of the reviews. If anyone needs a recommendation, we stayed in room 525. I didn't get in the pool but they have a nice pool and fitness center. Maybe next time. It's a good choice. I enjoyed the breakfast here on my 2nd day since I arrived in the afternoon on my first day so I missed the continental breakfast on that first day. The only issue at this hotel were the elevators did not work during my 2 day (1 night) stay so take note of that if you have alot of bags to carry. Apparently, their elevators have been out of service for a long time. I didn't mind using the stairs at all but when we arrived to check-in, after a 3.5 hour drive, we were tired and just wanted to use a working elevator. The hallways are long as this is a big hotel so be ready to walk. HOTEL ROOM -- I shared a non-smoking room with my friend that had 2 double beds. We got the tennis discounted rate of $189/night which is a very fair rate. Overall, I had a decent stay over 2 days (1 night) with a buffet-style free breakfast.
