The location was easy to find. The check in was a breeze but that is about when all the great expectations ended. We got there at 730pm all the ammendities ended at 8pm. Check in is at 4pm, as is in most places, but never have the ammendities that you paid so much extra for closed so early. We came for a birthday and everything in the place you had to pay additional fees for after you have already paid too much for the room. I mean absolutely nothing was included. The beds were so lumpy and sheets did not appear to have been changed, as someone left a makeup print on them. I just slept on top annd use the towels to cover the pillow. I had forgotten my disposable bedsheets. Then when I said something to the manager about having to drive from out of state to get there and not being able to use the facilities very long his only accommodation was too allow me a late check out for free because that is usually an additional $50 or another nights stay for an additional 140.10 which is 1/3 of the faction of my original nights price to stay. Yes for one night. So uou can see why I was frustrated. But I paid they played and we left. Never to go there again. Now I will update this once I see about all these pending charges on my Credit card bc if they dont fall off Ill be sure to update. So they charge you 15.00 per towel that you do not return to the desk in the waterpark and you have to make sure they check in the towels. Just a greedy money pit. read more

I paid a lot of money to stay here for just 2 nights. I think the kids enjoyed it but it was not worth the price we paid. The buffet was small and a lot tasted like yesterday's leftovers. We ate at the pizza place and the bread sticks were ice cold. Pizza was really good. We didn't say anything about the breadsticks because we didn't want the kids to think we weren't enjoying it. One drop of water in the eye was so full of chlorine that I instantly wanted to nap. The bowling is mini balls and pins and the mini golf is so dark and not ideal for my autistic son. I would not pay extra if we came again. Was caught off guard from excessive pressure booking online. Place was nice but not worth the price we paid. Should be 5 stars service for what they are charging for 2 nights. read more

My kiddos and I decided to take a spontaneous one night trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Check in was fast and easy and they give you the option to add your card to you and your kids wristbands to make paying for things easier at the lodge. We were very pleased with the room. Our room was super spacious, clean and came with a jacuzzi tub. My kids are older so we didn't do anything but the water park but it was a lot of fun for the three of us to ride the slides together. Finding a spot to set your stuff is pretty difficult though. I downloaded their app, hoping we could order room service but there weren't any options other than pizza which was disappointing. We ended up waiting for a table at the Lodge Wood Fired Grill. We were happy with our meal. The bed was comfortable and everyone slept like babies after a long night of water park fun. read more

My friends took me here for my bachelorette party back in October. We loved going here when we were younger and wanted to have a blast before wedding planning got too busy. Our room was clean and quiet. We had a cool view of The Bat at Kings Island which was fun. The waterpark was awesome, the adult only hot tub was very nice. We really enjoyed magiquest and brought our own wands we had thrifted. They were able to wipe them and let us use them. The games were fun, the food is good and overall it's an awesome place to go. I struggled with this review because there were some hiccups during my stay with my son. But I'm sure they were dealing with staffing issues as other businesses are, and overall, we had a wonderful time. As others have mentioned, check in is a problem. We waited in line for over half an hour. But, our room was ready! The room was clean and well appointed. We didn't upgrade to anything fancy, so I wasn't expecting to have my mind blown. The water park was great fun and the life guards were taking everyone's safety seriously. It could have been warmer in there, but that's a small complaint. As for the rest of the resort, it needs some attention. Only one of the bowling lanes was functioning and the kids' "mining" experience had clearly been neglected. We spent 2 nights thee and the waterpark was amazing! though I did get a cough after the water park it will still be lasting memories! This place is ridiculous and expensive. Talk about the fun police, it seems you can't do anything without them blowing that whistle. Examples: went down the kiddie slide with my 2y/o granddaughter and got the whistle cause adults aren't apparently allowed to help thier little ones. Next I see 2 kids tossing a football in the outside pool for probably around 20 minutes, then the girl decides to blow the whistle at them to stop tossing football. I stopped on the stairs during the night dance program and was told to keep moving, thank god she didn't have a whistle. I get if someone is being unsafe then BLOW that whistle til your cheeks hurt. This is not the Great Wolf Lodge that it was before Covid. All the personal touch is gone. The service is pretty rough. And they nickel and dime you to death for every darn thing. Wanna swim? They're gonna charge you $25 just to use the towels, and if you don't return all the towels you check out they charge you another $15. Want to expand your food plan from the breakfast lunch to include dinner? Not even available. You can pay it out of pocket, but they won't expand your meal plan for money. We had a great wolf suite, which was two adjoining rooms, the floor plan was a lot smaller than two single rooms, and half the electric outlets didn't work. That was a surprise in the morning with a dead cell phone. Shower was broke. Coffee pot is laughable. Not a coffee pot. Not even a Keurig. Single serving has these coffee teabag trays. For several years before Covid we did a winter trip, and I was trying to make it possible here. Now that we're out of the lockdowns I hope to have a little bit of return to normalcy, but like many other things Covid ruined every it, and the good parts aren't coming back. I think maybe I can try getting just a normal hotel room over in Columbus in the summer, and maybe we can do some Zoombezi Bay some thing. read more

This was an ups and downs experience. The kids (9,6&4) had a fantastic time. The adults could see that the facility was aging, the mysterious and bogus fees kept piling up, the food was over-priced & below-average, the service was spotty, the kid's activities were OK, the water park was quite safe (lifeguards do a great job) and the building was mostly clean (except for disgusting hallway carpets). AVOID the Lodge Restaurant in the facility. Our expensive meal there was below average and our servers were confused about everything. There is a new parking "fee" that the front desk staff could not explain. They won't tow or ticket your car...just don't pay it. read more

This is our 2nd time visiting GWL and overall our experiences have been great. Lots of activities for the kids and of course the phenomenal water park. They have tons of restaurants and are fortunately located in an area where if you need to leave you most certainly can. They had extra activities for the kids since it is Halloween. The room was spacious and came with a fireplace as well. The only suggestions I have is that the staff is not friendly and this is an observation for each time I have visited. Keep in mind I know that everywhere is short staffed but the only staff I have run into that was remotely friendly was the housekeeping staff, also, their definitely need to be updates to the rooms. I feel that they are a little outdated. Other than that we had the absolute best time. My kids can't wait to go back! read more

This is one of the biggest tourist traps out there! Took my daughter and 2 grand kids 2 and 9. I spent $1121 in 24 hours at this place. My room was supposed to be 3 twins and a queen. But it wasn't it was bunks and a queen. With stained nasty sheets and blankets. The carpet was DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY!!! Mold in bathtub. I paid $523 for this!! The waterpark had a million chairs with people's towels on them but none to sit in. The place smelled like chlorine so bad it burns your eyes and your throat. This can't be safe!! Everything is broke and not working. The plastic wands that are $40+ is ridiculous then none of the stations work. I could go on forever!! Shame on you GREAT WOLF LODGE!! Where do I begin.... First let me start off by saying check in was easy, we stayed a total of three days. When we received our room my wife and I brought the kids in to the room to change to get just a few hours left before it closed. We had a decent time at the water park but the kids however, did have fun. After the water park we ordered pizza so we didn't have to leave again, the prices were somewhat on the steep side but the pizza was actually good. We brought the pizza back to our room to eat. While eating my kids noticed toenail clippings on the floor. As much as I found it disgusting I just grabbed some toilet paper and got most of them up off of the rug. After eating we were going to get baths and showers but in order to take a shower we had to clean out the tub due to lots of hair on the wall and laying in the tub. We cleaned the tub not a bid deal and moved on. While washing my youngest child off in the bath a centipede ran next to me while I was kneeling on the floor, I of course killed it and decided to mention it to the front desk (I had pictures to show). They did try and remedy the situation by crediting a little bit of money back to my card and gave us free breakfast, they also assured me that the following day they would send someone in to clean the room. The second day, we spent most of the day at the waterpark and when we came back we noticed no one entered our room to clean. Nothing really worth mentioning the second day besides the infestation of gnats by the front door. The third day we decided we didn't want to stay and swim and just get home. After we got home I had to visit the doctors due to staph infection in multiple areas. The doctor mentioned that if you are someone who gets sweat bumps from wearing pants they create open wounds and can be infected by dirty environments. I showered prior to entering the waterpark and when exiting like it mentioned when walking in but clearly it didn't work. read more

Ran out ASAP - rooms have BED BUGS YES BED BUGs ... we stayed in room 852 in August and on night one this happened to my daughter... bed bugs stay under your skin layer and bite in a linear fashion over a short period of time. Their bites may be mistaken for spider bites but these things are so darn itchy...it's also easy to compare for mosquito bites which the uneducated unhelpful supervisor on site tied to convince us that's all they were but they are not... because the bugs can hang in the skin they bite you over a period of time is similar locations... w Bed bugs are not only disgusting but overly contagious you can take these guys home and forget it. They will live in your house and their bites are unbearable, they burn and itch so horribly you can't imagine the pain. I couldn't believe the resort didn't have a rapid response in place or at least let folks know this was being investigated and let folks decide for their own account. It was obvious that staff had dealt with this before!!! read more

The Water Park is great! They really should have some wheelchair bound inspectors help them with being more accessible. They said Door 4 was closest to our room, but door 5 was closer. None of the door switches open outside doors. Drink and food ordering is done by kiosks that are too high to reach from a wheelchair. They allow ordering food through room service, but then they text you to pick it up. They say the breakfast package is for menu restaurant or the buffet, but the restaurant was closed for the weekend. The pizza they sell is pretty good. Most staff members were friendly and helpful. All things considered, our grandkids had a great weekend so we will probably go again with reduced expectations! read more

I did not stay at the hotel but I did go to the indoor waterpark and had a great time. Slides for all ages from babies to thrill seekers like myself. My favorite slides have to be the triple twist and the slide that used to be the water coaster. Lifeguards where extremely attentive here, check in for day passes was painless and in expensive. BED BUGS and rude employees. Not only spotted a dozen bugs in our bed in the "remodeled wing", the front desk would not answer the phone and I had to walk up to talk to a desk employee. She informed me that they hadn't had reports in years (lie) and that they would only refund my money if a pest person confirmed them in the morning AFTER my stay. After requesting and talking to a manager, they offered to move me to another room. We were left sitting packed in the bed bug room for OVER an HOUR waiting for them to relocate us while they inspected the new room. (If they didn't have bugs why did it need to be inspected?) They did offer to take all my belongings for 4 hours so they could be "heat treated". I don't know if they have a special treating location on site (which is just as concerning) or if they use their dryers to bake my delicates. All day they were doing heavy construction outside my bedroom window which continued past 8 pm. I should also mention half the water park was closed down because of "sanitation issues". They compensated the guests with a pup pass but they need to be informing ones before check in so they don't travel 2000 miles to stay here. The pup pass was nice for the kids because it gives them quite a few souvenirs to take home. Once in the pool I noticed they were over chlorinating the open areas and life guards could care less about watching the kids. I bumped them from one star to two because they did recover some by eventually getting us in another room not on the construction side, gave my daughter a stuffed animal and us a complementary breakfast. read more

There's an odd smell, and no it's not chlorine, it kind of gross. You can see copious amounts of dust and debris all over the tops of the water slides. The WiFi is terrible and only gets worse as the night goes on and people leave the pool. We were hungry and decided on pizza. We ordered and were told it would take an hour, and we were given a pager. After an hour and a half I went back down to see what the hold up was. The guy told me it was coming out now. So as I waited, I listened to other customers come up inquiring about their pizza. Each one was given some random amount of time their pizza would be ready. One lady was told a half hour, to which she replied "I was told 20 minutes a half hour ago, give me a refund". Then by some miracle 2 pizzas appeared. Since it had been another 15 minutes since my pizza was supposedly coming out, I asked again where my pizza was. I was finally given my pizza plus attitude, and my pager never went off. The room is fairly nice, but oddly decorated. Overall I probably won't come back and would tell others to not waste their money. read more

I have mixed feelings about the lodge. On the one hand we had a lot of fun, but we tend to do that anytime we're all get together (we had 5 rooms). The grandkids had a blast at the water park, pure joy even for the 2 year old and all of them played to exhaustion. The wand controlled shadow game in the lobbies and halls was also a big attraction only for the kids. Running the gauntlet of kids even long after most should be in bed was kind of a pain. Many kids and adults were rude and selfish and could not care less about anyone else walking by. The kids dance party at night and yoga in the morning was also a hit with the kids. But then the flip side, it was extremely noisy all the time. Even at 2AM people and kids were up, making noise, bouncing off the walls and disrupting other guests. The resort itself is like one of those over used and tired amusement parks where they are all sick of seeing tourists and doing the same thing over and over. The staff was slow, often forgetting details. The royally goofed up our reservations and told my wife lies over the phone before our arrival about being ready and yet they got everything wrong they promised. You know how you expect theme parks, theaters and amusement parks to be over priced with expensive but mediocre food? Well they got that part right. The pizza was okay but easily 3 times more expensive than if I had just called for takeout and delivery would have been faster. But the grill and the Buffett were simply horrible. Bad indifferent service, menus were wrong, some items were missing, some were terribly bad and seemed to be cooked and prepared by an animal. Everyone got food poisoning at the buffet (twice). The grill service was very slow, inattentive, got order items wrong several times, and even with that the food was just somewhere between good and ordinary but nowhere near valued to match the high prices and terrible service. SO we had a lot of fun, but also felt ripped off over the high prices and poor quality. We did like the wrist bands instead of room keys and the wrist bands acting like our ID and room charge back was smart for us. read more

My wife picked this place, having heard of them many times in the past and we were visiting the area. A great location next to a huge amusement park and busy area. Check in was quick and easy. We were prepaid and just needed card imprint for incidentals but alas they weren't able to register the card. No biggie, just meant we had use the card for any purchases instead of their wristband / room key. Room was fairly spacious and well appointed. The bathroom though was more of a closet, small enough to turn around in but not much else. Beds and pillows were comfy. Two issues. One, the wall AC unit was directly by sleeper sofa, which took the brunt of cold air. Out 18 year old granddaughter slept there and had to use 2 blankets. The other issue was sink. The stopper couldn't be opened for draining. I kept easing stopper and finally removed it, caked with crud. I called and maintenance came and replaced it. This resort is really made for kids, not so much adults. The inside water Park was fabulous, with huge slides, lazy river, hot tub and wave pool. Always seemed to be something going on for kids. A "quest" was in place that kids followed clues and carried a wand that activated graphics in several areas. I must admit I was tempted to join the quest with kids but the almost $20 wand purchase stopped me. Interior restaurantes were on the pricey side so we went out to try local places instead. On check in day we were tired from long drive and did get a pizza there. One size fits all - large only. The $20 pizza was delicious but we could only eat 2/3. Wife and granddaughter also had to try the candy shoppe, again one price, $16 for a cup the size of a large coffee cup. Big variety of candies, the girls said chocolate rocks were best. They also had individual bars and bags for sale. All in all, a great place for families with small children, just not so much for adults. read more

6 people of our party of 12 ended up sick from this place. Pinkeye and vomiting. I'm sure that the water park area is to blame. We have visited the past and have had wonderful trips. It's definitely going down hill. The fireplace in our room didn't work, there was no lighting in the living room area where there used to be a lamp in previous years and you couldn't even see to do anything. There were muddy shoe prints on our sheets and what looked like blood stains too. I couldn't wait to leave. Never going back which is a shame because we have had great trips in previous years. They need to put some money back into the place at the amount they charge. We also rented a cabana and didn't receive the services explained. Nice to have a dedicated space to put your stuff and for people to meet up, but way overpriced. read more

I am unable to give this place zero stars, but I would if I had the chance! This is my personal definition of Hell...Walls are paper-thin, distasteful wall art, and the cherry on top: watching a random, unsupervised child defecate in the hallway (I can still see the stain by the door). Our family has only stayed here for two out of three intended days and have encountered some issues. The first one being our room situation. We booked two rooms and requested that they would be next to each other so that the kids could have one room and the adults in the other (we had two families in our party). When we checked in, our rooms were on the COMPLETE OPPOSITE ends of the resort. When confronted, the front desk said that we called the wrong number to submit this request and there was nothing they could do. Another issue we encountered was that we had an accidental spill on one of the beds in the morning (young children and open cups) and room service did not visit our room, so the bed was still soaked by the time we got back to our room to sleep. We went down to the front desk and asked for a bag of extra bed linens. The pullout couch linens came in a bag earlier, so I thought that we were on the same page. He said that someone would drop them off to our room. When I answered the door, I was handed a couple plastic laundry bags. We then went down again to ask for some sheets, a comforter, and a couple pillows to clarify exactly what we needed. When I answered the door again, I was handed six sheets. At this point it is 11:00pm and we decided to give up and try to make our situation as comfortable as possible. I will also add that I don't expect much from a pull-out couch, but it feels like you are sleeping on the pothole filled roads of Ohio. The only positive I have is the pizza and funnel cake fries, which were still expensive and I do not think they were worth the price. For as much as our visit costed, I expected more. Do not waste your time or vacation days on this place. Just go next door to Kings Island and get your thrills there. Great Wolf Lodge, do better!! read more

This is the second Great wolf Lodge we have stayed at. This time we got a loft suite the go around because we had a big group. Over all the rooms were great. Due to having a large group of people we acquired a good amount of garbage during our stay. I am a little disappointed that housekeep never came during our three night stay. Overall the hotel is nice and man in the common areas Ans the staff is very friendly. The water park at this one is huge and does have a family hot tub and a 21 and older hot tub. During our stay here only the family hot tub was opened and there were plenty of kids splashing in there so don't expect to be relaxed. You could even say it was a very "hot" hot tub either, more of a lukewarm tub. After a day of walking around Kings Island we were looking to smooth our muscles with a nice dip but that was not able to happen unfortunately. Over all this hotel is in perfect proximity to Kings Island and has a very nice walking path to get there. Definitely recommend I'd you are going to be visiting kings island as well read more

We got an amazing deal for one night at great Wolf Lodge and were so excited to go . The check-in process went smoothly, and the people at the front desk were very informative as to the activities of the day. The adults receive a wristband which is connected to your credit card, so you do not need to carry your wallet around which is nice. It is a cashless facility. Bowling and mini golf were seven dollars per player which is pretty reasonable. There are about five restaurants on site, including a Dunkin' Donuts. The breakfast buffet had decent food, and I was happy to see an omelette station. It's nice, because there are activities happening almost every hour or every other hour for the children. My girls favorite is the dance parties, which is like a kiddie rave. All in all the hotel could use some updating as it appears to be fairly old and outdated, but we had an enjoyable stay. Well aside from the family upstairs that were having a stomp party at 11 PM and again at 6 AM. Without the discount, I'm not sure if I would come back to this location because paying full price is quite costly for what you get without it being an updated facility. Also, do not bring any type of floatable rings or pool toys because they do not allow it. read more

We have been going to this Great Wolf for the last 4 years every October with our grandkids. We were disappointed with how we feel it has run down. In the inside waterpark area there are ledges by the stairs to the tube slides and they were covered in hair ties that people throw over there as well as the whole area is in need of a paint job. I know it could potentially mean closure of part or all of the inside area but as much money as they charge for everything it needs to be done. The staff was great. We had some people in our group who got sick and couldn't come and I ask them to down grade our room and I got my rate cut in half. I tried doing this over the phone before we got to the resort but the person told me I would only get 50.00 back. So glad I waited until I got the resort. We had a meal at the grill restaurant and it was so over priced. We had 3 kids and 3 adults and it was 300.00. This is suppose to be a place people can bring their families and enjoy their selves not a place they take advantage of you. As much money as we spent for one night and all our food we could've stayed two or three days somewhere else and done other activities. We've made this an annual tradition but we might have to find a new one. read more

Here now and this is stay #23. Every time we have stayed here in the past 2-3 years, it's gone downhill. The bed is probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever attempted to sleep on. The sheets feel like a can of starch has been used on each one and the bed isn't even made correctly or with the correct sheets. There is a flat sheet where a fitted sheet should be and since it's too small, it keeps balling up every time someone moves. There were rude teenagers spitting off of the water slide stairs down into the lazy river and trying to hit people. Told a lifeguard but could not tell if anything was done. There was food and wet napkins everywhere in the water park and the floor was disgusting to walk on. Resort is understaffed and in desperate need of a makeover on the insides of the rooms and not just the pizza area. read more

Watch out for hidden fees on that great advertised rate. The most recent is adding $15 per day parking on top of the hotel and resort fees to the base price. Otherwise had a good time. Very crowded even on a weekday but you can't fault them for having good business. Only negative related to that is it doesn't seem like they are prepared with check in counter and food areas overrun (at least during peak time). read more
