Mrs Pat during breakfast and Mrs Debbbie at the front desk made our staY absolutely wonderful!! My own family doesn't care much as much as they did!! We drove an hour out if our way because of the wonderful reviews. If you get the privilege of going here, take it!! Does not disappoint!!

UPDATE: stayed here again on 6/4. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Grounds are very well kept and peaceful. And the breakfast is homemade, served in a sepearate building which is a throwback to your grandma's old country kitchen. Highly recommend for family vacationers or business people on the road. Clean rooms, courteous and pleasant staff, very good rates, and a real homemade breakfast. Perfect for someone who needs a reasonably pricd, comfortable room.

What a friendly, beautiful, loving place and the staff is just amazing. The room was so clean and spotless. I look at details because I travel a lot and there was nothing unclean in the room. The breakfast area is gorgeous. Loved it .

This place is something to definitely explore if you're planning a trip to the area around Mason or Kings Island. Pros: Great breakfast buffet. Plenty of options for any member of the family, and lots of seating in the quaint cottage. See photos for your morning spread (there is additional seating upstairs). Great deals on rooms and tickets to KI. This was pretty simple to arrange although you had to call and request the deal. On a good note, my special requests during the call were addressed before we made it to the room (add roll away bed - it was in the room when we checked in). Super courteous staff and friendly welcome even late at night (10pm). Gorgeous property and sparsely used pool. You can also see the fireworks from KI from the pool area at 10, which conveniently closes at 10:30. Cons: No confirmation of room via email, text or other electronic method. This doesn't usually bother me, but we almost had some changes to the trip so having a copy of the confirmation is helpful. It was fairly warm and humid during our trip (late June) and the a/c was not cooling off the room the first night (since we arrived so late). It was able to keep up better the next day, but only if you kept in on full blast. Recommendation: the cottage area is cute, it would be nice to have access to this space for groups post breakfast to play board games or other activities for youngsters are there are limited options in the area. I know there was a fireplace section outside, wasn't sure if this was ever in use. All in all, a definitely choice for anyone visiting this part of Ohio!

Breakfast in style!

Wonderful quiet spot of comfort just ten minutes from the Miami Casino and Kings Island. Clean, attractive, affordable rooms include a fridge, two queen beds, a desk and three chairs. The full out breakfast served in the original farm house is outstanding. Real plates, cups & silverware! Unmixed choices of breads, sweet rolls, eggs, waffles, sausage, cereals and fruit. Served in a gorgeous dining area full of antiques. Talk about Southern hospitality! This gem is a "must return" if you're in the area!

Absolutely love this little gem of a motel. It's hard to describe, but the minute you walk in the front office you are treated like family. The property is so cozy and quaint. The rooms are pretty straight up motel rooms, but they are clean and they stock the rooms w Keurig coffee machines and soaps, etc., from Bath & Body Works. It's a clean, comfortable place at a reasonable rate. What stands out is their beautiful gardens and the beautiful historic home they serve a full breakfast in. The food is wonderful, anything you can imagine they have. The friendliness of the staff is incredible, you don't want to leave. We've already made future reservations and when we are in the area this is where we will stay!

We checked in today... The property is very manicured... The rooms were very clean and smelled pleasant when entering... We got a double and the Inn lady Debbie was really nice and sweet... Loved her! Its our first night so I'll update in a few days... Good value and excited about the continental hot and cold breakfast buffet that they include with your stay...

What a hidden gem we found. We were going to stay at another property and we ended up canceling and going here. Thank goodness we did because this place is amazing. The property is well maintained and manicured. You can tell that the owners really love their work. Cute benches for sitting, flowers everywhere, and a nature trail too! Room was super nice and clean and the beds were so comfortable. Every morning they have a hot breakfast buffet with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, danish, fruit, coffee and juice! You won't be disappointed!

There was a mini-type fridge with some water in it but I couldn't tell whether the water was included or extra. There was no separate refrigerator which is a shame being there are so many restaurants in Liberty Center. The room was cozy and the bed very comfortable but there wasn't a lot of amenities. There is a small mini-safe, iron and ironing board and a small area where you can hang a few clothes. The shower is kind of an open style shower with no door. These rooms aren't designed for long stays. The big draw would be it's in Liberty Center and you can shop, eat and drink and not have to worry about driving. I would recommend for one night but probably not more than one. Rooms are in the $200 plus range. There is a bar area on the 2nd floor and it is nice. If you elected on getting breakfast in the morning it's is around $14 a person. There is a small store in the lobby with sodas and snacks for purchase. There is parking near the hotel but if you've never been here before, I would recommend you come early so you can locate it. We stayed overnight because we went to a comedy show at the Funny Bone which is within walking distance. I do recommend.

The coffee supplied does not fit the coffee maker in the room. The sounds from others in the hallway is very clear - it sounds as if they are in this room. I'm not sure why the "tile floor" is rough and dirty. It appears to be worn out, and it is not cleaned behind the door. The bathroom design is bad. Late checkout is noon. The parking lot is too small for the hotel - it was full but the hotel wasn't. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. She deserves 5 stars.

The room was spotless, but you can smell the mildew. Carpet + waterpark. Good thing we had a balcony, so we could air it out. The water park itself is filthy. They took the MRSA scare from years ago seriously by just adding more chlorine. The chlorine fumes in the wave pool burned my eyes before the water got to my knees. That, plus the water flow, has eaten the concrete of the lazy river. The smooth concrete ends at the waterline, both my husband and I skinned our knees. The water is never changed, only recycled. It all has a brown tenge to it. Many of the large tube slides have dark streaks on them, originating from the water spigots. It just highlighted the obvious priority, as most hotels have, money vs customer health. Can't close shop for a weekend to power wash or to change the water seasonally. These, plus my 9 yr old child could not play with her dolls nor wear her mermaid tail in the shallow end of the baby pool, are the reasons we won't be staying or visiting here again. I do understand the possible dangers with both (toys and a tail in water) and life guards were polite about it, but we have done both in a public pools for considerably less money.

Staff here was very friendly and the lobby looked very presentable upon walking in. I had no issues getting in my room either but upon being in my room for a couple of hours watching TV i noticed that the room suddenly flooded and I am not sure where the water was coming from. Thankfully the staff gave me another room. This next room that I had didn't have a working heater which kind of bummed me out. I felt bad for the guy working the front desk because he was there let me checked out and it seemed like he worked at least over a 15 hour shift. Poor guy needs a break. Breakfast was solid at this location. Overall, I give this place two and a half Stars.

A nice hotel but with a few quirks. I was debating whether to give this hotel three stars or four…read morestars. We stayed here this weekend when in town for a friend's dad's memorial. Pros: -One of the most comfy beds I've ever slept in at a hotel, with nice fluffy pillows. -Free breakfast - I only took advantage of this on Saturday morning but I had some pancakes and juice, and I brought my husband some sausage and a muffin. They also had cereal, eggs, I believe waffles, and a few other things, although more hot options (bacon, namely) would've been nice. -Close location to Kings Island if that's what you're visiting for. Lots of restaurants nearby like Skyline Chili, Texas Roadhouse, etc. -Ample parking with multiple entrances, which was good because it was rainy for most of our stay. -Does have a lot of "essentials" you can purchase on-site, such as snacks, sodas, etc. -This is both a pro and a con: It did have nice bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc., but they were in squeezy bottles, for lack of a better term (see my pic) ... Including the hand soap. My hands started hurting from squeezing them. -Nicely sized bathroom, albeit shower-only (no bathtub). -Room was very clean Cons: -The front desk person was a little aloof during check-in. I was trying to explain how I used both points and cash to book the room and he didn't really seem to understand. Related: sometimes there was a front desk person and sometimes you needed to walk up to the desk and wait a bit. -My husband needed a Band-Aid at one point so I went downstairs to see if they had any. They apparently usually keep them to give away but they were out... -This may sound weird but the bed had very pointed corners and I kept hitting my shin on it the first night in the room. Granted I'm a bit klutzy, but I had to watch out for it every time. -The room itself was quite a bit smaller than I was anticipating. This was my first time staying at a Tru, but I thought it was more of a mid-level hotel... I think now it's more of a budget one, even though if I paid in cash it would've been like $150-170 per night. -No housekeeping during your stay. There's a sign on the mirror that says it'll be every other day, but upon check in, there is a sign that said there is none. -No drawers or closets... There are a few places to hang things up which are basically open-air closets. I personally prefer drawers for my clothes though. Overall I would still stay here again when in town, but if it was the two of us again, I would try to find a hotel with larger rooms. For one person, a king room is fine, though.

We stayed at this hotel with students for the WGI Championship and encountered extremely poor customer service, unsafe conditions, and serious cleanliness issues--including bed bugs. Multiple members of our group were affected, and we were informed that another group experienced the same issue. Beyond that, the condition of the rooms was unacceptable. We found hair on the towels, stained sheets, a malfunctioning shower with little to no hot water, and doors that would not properly close or lock. The pull-out couch was covered in crumbs, there was a dirty handprint on the sheets, and even rubber bands from braces left on the bed. Trim was falling off the walls, and key cards repeatedly failed to work. We stayed for four days, and not once were our rooms serviced--no fresh towels, no toilet paper restock, and no trash removal. Safety and sanitation were also major concerns. The lobby doors were never secured at night, and after breakfast, staff wiped tables with their hands rather than using any disinfectant. Customer service was equally unacceptable. When we requested to speak with a manager, we were told none would be available until Monday--after our departure. Due to these conditions, I have contacted the health department and the hotel's corporate office. This hotel is not safe or suitable for guests. I strongly urge others to avoid staying here unless you are willing to risk your health and safety.
