It's certainly a stunning property a lot of history behind it and from what it looks like typically it's a venue for weddings. I had never heard of this property before despite being a Cincinnati native. I would imagine this would be a stunning venue for a wedding. Hopefully they have other events for the public: this was a very neat opportunity to see a musical and to get to visit the historic house and grounds.

ABSOLUTELY CHARMING! Peterloon made all of my wedding dreams come true. My first attraction to this…read morevenue was the fact that you could have every wedding event in one spot - ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. Upon visiting Peterloon we were in love -- the charm is unmatched. We had our ceremony in the sunken garden, cocktails inside/outside, and a tented reception. The following really made the day spectacular: - Jamie and the Peterloon staff went above and beyond to meet any needs we could have. - After a rainy week the grass drained really well and pavers were perfect for the reception. - The air conditioned bridal suite - Ability to use baby grand piano - Fans in house - NO CICADAS SOMEHOW! - Working with Samantha Joy Events - she knows everything there is to know about Peterloon! Despite being a 90 degree day, guests were mostly in the shade for the ceremony and could cool off in the house all night long. If you have any hesitations - I truly think a rainy wedding at Peterloon would still beat a good weather day at any other venue! Thank you for everything, Peterloon staff! It didn't look very well attended and now we know why. They must have known something that we didn't. I have been to several Mother's Day Buffets there and I know that they know better than to charge $55.00/person for the cheap garbage they foisted on the guests. How many ways can they serve PORK(the cheapest meat on the market and half the price of a pound of hamburger), along with dozens of hard boiled eggs at less than 2.00/doz., some beef that was tough and obviously a low price cut or mystery meat. The salads were sparse, there were no cheese selections at all, no juices served, and not a single vegetable was on the menu. I don't believe that I have EVER been to a buffet that didn't at least serve green beans(but then, right now they cost more/pound than pork). The buffet was FULL of "filler foods" like donuts and muffins. The service was terrible. If you wanted something to drink, you had to go get it yourself. That "buffet" wasn't even worth $150. let alone $275.00 There was a sign out front that said "Mother's Day Buffet". We will not be stupid enough to be "taken" a second time. We will NOT be back.

Wow! This place is not what I was expecting and I really loved it. I went for an event this past…read moreweekend with a few of my friends. The vibes are so cool and fun. It felt like a speakeasy vibe with great mood lighting and decor. The bar itself was super cool, it had a ton of seating and fun bar stools to sit on. They had a pool table in the middle of the main room, which added a lot to the vibe. Unfortunately there were way too many people in there to play. It was pretty crowded but it they did have a backroom with another bar that helped with the overflow. I didn't get anything to drink but I tried a few of my friends and they were very good. The prices weren't too bad either especially for the quality of cocktails that they have. I will definitely be back for a chill night out with my friends!

The crowd inside was pretty diverse and a nice mix of music was played. We attempted to walk to the backroom but it was way too crowded that night so I'll have to check it out another time m The bar staff took our order pretty quickly. I tried a Speak Softly and it was pretty delicious. It was pretty packed that evening and we felt sort of in the way of the fiercely competitive pool game going on in the middle of the room. We had a decent party size and not a lot of space for us to gather together, so after finishing the first round we headed out. I would definitely like to check it out on another night to try more of the craft cocktails.
