Been wanting to stay here forever, but the price deterred me. It is higher than other Cincinnati hotels, but you do get what you pay for. Almost...more on that later. On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. Delicious food and excellent service. The chef accommodated my vegan meal choice with an excellent dish. Cannot say enough about this place! Impressive! Quaint, boutique style with historical significance. My only regret was not getting to eat at the top bar. They had a wedding the night we were there and the next day they were closed. Bummer. Other than that this was a most enjoyable experience for us. Rooms were so clean and spacious with comfy bed. So quiet. I slept like a baby. No kids at this hotel so that really made a difference. Loved the towels and soaps provided in shower. Shower has two heads and two vanity sinks. Yay! Also plus was the Nespresso Machine! We enjoyed each morning and decaf at night. Love that! Felt like a home rather than a hotel. I guess the place used to be a Women's shelter then they renovated three years ago and it became what it is today. Newer feel for sure. They provide bottled water everyday and you can pick up additional water bottles in the gym which is very nice. No pool here but you can't have everything. We ate breakfast downstairs and it was very good. Nice staff, great views and service was top notch! They are working on restoring the park which will be so pretty when completed. TIP: they will drive you to anywhere you want to go within 5 miles of hotel. Pretty much everything you need is within that radius so park your car and use their drivers. Thank you to all the friendly drivers and staff who helped arrange pick ups and drop offs. We walked to many places including the Taft Museum across the street, beautiful and very well done. 4.5 stars. I really wanted to rate 5 but it's not quite there. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't often the most expensive hotel in Cincinnati (still reasonably priced vs many other cities). I have stayed here twice on staycations. I have also stayed at a few other mid to higher end downtown hotels: 21c, Renaissance, Hyatt, the Phelps. This is definitely the most luxurious and competes with 21c for best overall product. On the plus side: this is an absolutely beautiful property, wonderfully restored. The lobby bar is breathtaking. The rooms are also clean and well furnished. They are large for a downtown hotel. The bathrooms are immaculate. All the staff I have encountered have been very polite and well trained. Marriott status is appropriately recognized. Everything within the hotel itself runs as I would expect for a top end property. Of note, the location is where the Central Business District starts ending. I think this is a great location if you can walk 10-20 minutes as it allows for great views and less commotion. More of a relaxed feel. They have a shuttle around downtown / Over the Rhine certain days of the week. The main thing holding me back from 5 stars is service at the restaurant and bars. To be clear, the staff is lovely but there aren't enough of them. For breakfast we waited over 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. The food was absolutely delicious when we got it, but we had hungry kids. If I was traveling for business I would be annoyed at breakfast taking an hour. The bar also seems under staffed and it takes a while for drinks, even when it's not very crowded. I think 21c has a better restaurant and bar scene (the rooms at 21c are not nearly as nice). If someone was coming downtown and wanted to stay at a nice property, I would recommend Lytle if they wanted a slower pace and beautiful room, and 21c for a more active stay. Tip: lots of construction so valet only. I recommend parking at Queen City Garage a quarter mile away. Normally $10-15 on weekends unless something is going on. read more

When the time came to select a spot for our rehearsal dinner, we looked all over Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. There was nowhere we toured that we loved quite as much as the Lytle Park Hotel - and that made our decision so much easier. Along with hosting our pre-wedding festivities in the beautiful Magnolia Room, we also booked a hotel room block for immediate family members. From start to finish - our communications and planning with the hotel were professional and consistent. We worked primarily with Kaitlyn - who always made time to respond to emails promptly, and was never too busy to schedule a phone call to answer questions as they arose. As a result, the rehearsal dinner was absolutely lovely. We were gifted with an unseasonably warm evening in November, and our guests enjoyed the patio space on the second floor beside the Magnolia Room. While we'd initially worried that this room would be too big for our party of 45 people - it ended up being just the right size. My now-husband and I have been big fans of the chefs at Subito since this hotel opened - but we were still blown away by the food. We opted for the buffet, and every option was more delicious than the next. My favorite was the Goat Cheese Ravioli - followed closely by the creamy and flavorful Butternut Squash soup. Booking the hotel room block in the same place as the rehearsal dinner ended up being one of our best planning decisions throughout the wedding process. After the rehearsal dinner, many of our guests headed upstairs to enjoy the beautiful Vista rooftop bar. The hotel rooms themselves were stunning. With artfully curated decor and beds that could give a cloud a run for its money - this is easily one of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. This is a late review. I actually visit the hotel awhile back, last Christmas. It's a beautiful hotel, I also love the bar area. Very photogenic. The receptionist was friendly. However they don't seem to be well informed on the event. When I check in for Breakfast with Santa, I was just told to wait for table to be ready. Didn't let me know where were Santa located until I ask later. However, they were nice to offer help taking photo of my family with Santa. As we sat down for our buffet style breakfast, our waitress wasn't as attentive as I think they should, the whole meal maybe I was check twice, and had to get attention from another waitress. I'd understand if it was busy but it wasn't. They also have cookie decorating station, various choice of cookies shape, sprinkles, icings. The employee who overlooked the area was very attentive and helpful. Overall experience was pleasant enough to recommend and come back again. read more

The hotel has a very nice lobby area with a restaurant and nice bar area. Then an easy walk to your room, where everything you need is available, including two nice robes, hair dryer, etc. The rooms are very nice and also spacious. I loved this new cute boutique hotel offering! It really is a hidden gem and offers a nice escape in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. The staff was excellent; very attentive while also being appropriately distant. There was a small glitch with our room and they gave us lunch on the house while we waited which I thought was a nice touch. The rooms themselves are spacious and have very modern decor. You feel like you're sleeping in a West Elm catalog, which is beautiful. The bathroom had great amenities and was a perfect place to get ready. And the hotel in general has a lot of natural light flowing through it which enhanced the experience. There are multiple dining options but I have to admit neither were great. There is meeting space and room for small events and the fitness center was perfect for a quick workout. What set this hotel apart is the use of outdoor spaces. From the rooftop to the ground floor fire pit this is a place that you will enjoy the scenery. read more

Went here for my ONE night away. My single night I get every other month to have total autonomy and silence from my kids. Usually this place has been totally worth the $400+ for a night, but this night was an absolute shit show. I noticed the music louder in the lobby than usual, whatever, I could hear it from my room but no big deal. Then 9:45 rolls around, my tv is off and I'm trying to sleep. I called the desk and they told me the music will be turned off at 10 PM and I said no worries. So suddenly at 10 the lobby music turns off and there is a monstrous bass blaring from sixth floor bar. This has never happened before, so I called down and I'm like what's going on. My room is literally vibrating and they told me that they have a party up there for a company and the music should be turned off around 10:30. I turn on the TV for another half an hour and then turn it off and the music got louder. I put in earplugs and turned on white noise but I could still hear it and my room was shaking. I called down and I told him that something had to change because I paid $400 for my room and this was totally unacceptable and they told me that the music should be off by 11. at this point I was getting annoyed and I was told I wasn't the only one complaining & they said they told everyone they'd talk to the DJ. I said I was going to leave but they told me it would be off by 11, it didn't turn off until close to 1145. I called the next day and asked to be refunded for my room and they simply told me no despite no sleep and the fact there was no warning of a rager at the hotel that night. read more

It was our wedding anniversary, we were given a suite and then it was taken away and given to other guests and we were downgraded to a room on a noisy highway, dark and dingy. Room service came up cold with no cups and utensils. The customer service by the management was truly forgettable and unmemorable. There are many other hotels in the area that will give you better service. This was not on par with a four star hotel in any way! read more

Hands down, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The valet were extremely nice and talkative when we first showed up. It is only valet! The front desk members were extremely nice and when you walk into the hotel it is decorated for Christmas and it is BEAUTIFUL! The hotel room is huge, and decorated gorgeous. The attention to detail was insane! This was a couples mini getaway and this place made it awesome! There were wine glasses and an espresso machine! The shower was to die for! Again, the details were insane! There was a little mirror in there! I hate hotel shampoo and soap, usually, but this was really nice!! The bed was comfy, and had motion detecting lights underneath which were genius! The curtains were blackout as well! There is a tablet that has a lot of things to do in the area and times which was helpful! The downstairs restaurant was delicious! Overall, one of the best hotels! Definitely come and stay a while! This is a winner. Just back from drinks and lunch for the first time at the Lytle, and I will absolutely go again. Great decor, responsive staff, delicious craft cocktails, and nothing but tasty treats on the menu. My only regret is that I didn't get the name of the hostess, a young lady who took care of us so very well (young, Asian, tattooed). My mother could not get over the service (the hostess took our orders without writing anything down and didn't miss anything)!), the interior design, and the calming views from the enclosed patio. Given the pandemic, I decided to do something special and socially distanced for NYE. There are many positives about this hotel. Overall, it's a glorious high end hotel. The decor is splendid and the staff were kind, hospitable, and offered help often. It was incredibly clean, room service was delicious, and the rooftop bar views are as fantastic as others have noted. We didn't spend much time outside the room due to the pandemic. The Rainwater room has the most fantastic soaking bathtub, and I usually hate a bath. If you don't mind dropping some pretty serious cash, you'll probably love this place. Cons: valet is an astronomical $40/day, the room couches are like cinder blocks, the sliding and other bathroom doors leave basically no privacy when using the bathroom. read more

I had a great time staying at this hotel. My long weekend here went exactly the way I want my vacations to be. A lot of the full-service hotels are so dated, but Lytle Park was great. The hotel is new, it's got great interiors, rooms were spacious, properly stocked, etc. Room service was working and prompt. I absolutely loved the lobby bar, and spent a lot of time hanging out there for brunch, evening drinks and late night drinks. They had great drinks, appetizers, etc. There is a rooftop bar too, and that was also a great place. My only disappointment was the outside was closed I suppose due to winter. The staff at this hotel was just amazing. I loved them. They greeted me all the time and asked about my plans, and followed up with asking how it went, etc. You don't get this kind of service at most full-service hotels in the US. It was such a refreshing change from the drab dullness offered by the cookie cutter name brands. I had only two minor things that they could improve. It was very hard to get an answer to whether they would make up the room without me asking. I had to give up after receiving ambiguous answers multiple times. House keepers who bumped into me in the hallway asked if I needed service. At the bar, I'd ask for cocktail recommendations, and their first instinct was to say that they'll make anything, which I know. But otherwise, they were really friendly, and I was really happy with every other part of my interaction with the bar staff at all times. Overall, one of my favorite stays at a hotel in the US in a long time! read more

Stayed for a night with my daughter (2 years old) and wife for a quick getaway and could not be happier with the accommodations! This is a beautiful hotel and it just opened in June of 2020 so everything is very modern and clean. The room we had was spacious and well appointed, with an incredibly comfortable bed. On a typical year, I travel for 75+ nights and this bed was at the very top of the list for comfort. On top of that, the common areas were set up well for large or small groups to hang out, the staff were all outstanding, and the breakfast was great with plenty of room to socially distance. We really like the location of this hotel as we could just park our car and walk everywhere with our daughter. They had a great rooftop bar and lobby bar/restaurant as well that we didn't get a chance to try, but hope to down the line. One travel tip for those with an electric car is that while there are two complimentary charging spots behind the hotel, they are only for guests who use the valet service. There are a number of parking garages in a short walking distance for those who need a charge, but want to save a few $$. A special thank you goes out to the gentleman who gave our daughter the sunflower as my wife and daughter were waiting for our car. She held it for nearly the whole ride home and insisted we put it in water once we got back. This will definitely be our go to spot for any future trips to Cincinnati!! read more

Came with friends to have drinks on the rooftop around 730pm on a Saturday. Was told the wait was 1 hr 45min to 2 hours. We put our names down but walked away to see if other places were open with less of a wait. Got texted after 45 min out table was ready so they had not estimated that well at all. They have staff wearing masks but the parties are not staying 6 ft apart in the lobby area/ lobby bar. People wear masks up to the rooftop. Once we sat down, I saw people going to the bathrooms without masks on when you're supposed to be wearing a mask when not sitting at your table or getting up to walk somewhere. We had a group of folks sitting at a table behind us bring 6 or so more people and they were getting right up in our table. I pushed out my chair to get them off and then we asked a waiter that was serving their table to do something and he walked through them to get them a little further but still hadn't enforced anything. They were standing up for about an hour and half when you should be seated at all times and of course no mask. They kept getting closer and closer. I was waiting around for our waitress to come back to tell the same to her but she was nowhere to be found until the very end when we got our checks. We had gotten a round of drinks and she should have checked in once more before last call. We didn't want to cause a scene and in the end it's not us who should have to tell them to back off 6 ft. It should be enforced by the staff. Overall, the views are great and it's a good place if you want cocktails since they have about 8 or so to chose from. However, this was my 2nd time going and they are getting worse about the social distancing rules and enforcing them. Not enough space between tables and people walking all around with no makes on when not at a table. I also liked the drinks but some of them are very sugary. I even asked about specific drinks and how much sugar was in them and I was told not much. There is no consistency in making them either because I got the same drink as my friend as she said it was not sugary at all and so I trusted her saying it since she knows me. My drink came back wayyyyy darker than hers was and it seemed like they doubled the simple syrup or strawberry flavoring.... I was not happy about that at all. The drinks aren't cheap so you want to enjoy what you order. I have tried 4 drinks now. (Unfortunately can't remember all the names and forgot to take a menu pic) but the beat drink is the Mojito with the lychee. It sounds sweet from the description but is not. The tea cocktail and strawberry cocktail are too sweet. You cannot taste the alcohol and just the flavoring. The dragonfruit cocktail is alright but nothing special and I think they ran out of the normal garnishes since our drink looked different than another tables of the same drink. So just beware that there is no consistency in the mixology. I think during covid times I would not plan to be here when it gets crowded since the management clearly doesn't care about safety. read more

I have been eyeing this hotel for awhile now so did a little staycation on NYE. This is a partner of Marriott, "Autograph Collection," and is a bit pricey so I saved up all of my points for this stay because we are in Cincinnati, not Vegas and I'm not typically willing to pay those prices here in my own city. We checked in on the app for an hour early and it looked like it was accepted. We arrived and the front desk clerk informed me that my room wasn't ready, I was immediately annoyed because it was NYE and I was ready to get my evening started. We waited in the beautifully decorated lobby, I mean Christmas decorations were still up and whoever they hired to decorate, blew it out if the water. I wish I would have taken a picture of the ginormous Christmas tree so I could try to decorate my own tree just like it. So..we wait 30 min and a nice gentleman gave us our key and informed us that we were upgraded (we are Gold status) for our wait. I immediately forgot I was annoyed and couldn't believe the quick service recovery. Good job Lytle. Now..just for perspective, my favorite hotel is Encore in Vegas and my second favorite hotel is Metropolitan at the 9, in Cleveland (also an autograph collection). Anyway, we walk in and I immediately feel like I'm in one of my favorite hotels, it's absolutely stunning. It was very very clean and neat. Very cute decor, well thought out. For a second, I thought I was in Vegas. I didn't realize some of the rooms have soaker tubs (I think mostly the rainwater rooms and of course the high end rooms). I'm still amazed at how big the tub was. I'm 5'1 and could sit with my legs crossed in the tub, even when my spouse joined me (tmi). I love love love the bathroom and the shower has plenty of room for two. Bed was comfy and the staff was attentive when I called down for something and they responded promptly. Lytle is one of my new favorite hotels and I will absolutely spend the money to stay here again when we need a night away from the kiddos. P.S. This is our new favorite hotel. From check-in to check-out the staff was incredible. The valet staff was the same the morning we left and we were surprised that they remembered not just us but details about our trip. Concierge was extremely friendly at check-in. While exploring the hotel in the morning we even ran into someone who gave us a spur of the moment private tour and took us upstairs to the rooftop before opening just to take a look. We had a room with a king bed and loved the size of it. We ordered room service since we had arrived so late and it was so pleasant to have a sofa and coffee table to eat at in case we spilled. But let's talk about the amazing food too. We had the filet which was delicious and the pasta carbonara which was exceptional. We ordered one of each of the desserts, and my personal favorite were the cannolis. They weren't traditional but they were so delicious. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous, the staff was extremely friendly, and over all it's an incredibly beautiful hotel. We will be back and I recommend it to everyone. read more

Overall the experience was good except for the last night where we had a late check out requested and we started having housekeeping knock on our door at 8:00 (with the do not disturb placard up). They then proceeded to knock and call on a regular basis to see when we were going to check out. Not the type of service I expect at this level of hotel. Pros: Gorgeous hotel. The building costs must have been astronomical. Beautiful decor and design everywhere you look. I love how they combined two older structure into one hotel. We were told the hotel was pretty full, but it must have been business folks because we heard no noise from other guests when in our room. The beds are super soft and comfortable. I counted at least 10 USB ports for charging in the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful, though we didn't need much help. We purchased are rooms with breakfast, which was smart because the breakfast prices are steep in the restaurant. I'm glad it felt "free." We had a delicious meal at Subito one evening, probably our best meal in Cincy this trip. Cons: Normal hotel stuff: The whole place is too cold. Even the staff were going outside to warm up. The only design mistake was falling for the sliding barn door on the bathrooms trend. No privacy for anyone on the john. (sorry, but true!) The Vista rooptop bar/restaurant is a unique space, and as such, it was rented out all 3 days we were there. Too bad. Don't count on it being open when you come. I suspect it's the latest Cincy hip place to book events. OVerall, we were very pleased with our stay. We would stay again, and have already talked about hosting an employee retreat there for our small business. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed as guests of the hotel for a weekend and were in complete awe of this establishment. From the stunning architecture both inside and out, to the relaxing live music by the stunning bar, to the rooftop bar with gorgeous panoramic views of the city - Lytle is truly an urban oasis. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, but not over-bearing, which I find in a lot of stays. Our dinner at the in-house restaurant, Subito, was exquisite. When the weather is nice, they have a garage-like door that can be opened to let in a lovely breeze. Overall, this stay left us speechless. I cannot recommend this enough to people coming in from out of town to explore Cincinnati, or couples looking for a truly amazing staycation. We will be back again and again. read more
