I had a really good stay at the Marriott Cincinnati RiverCenter. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and everything else during the stay went very well. Cheryl at the front desk was very pleasent and welcoming, she really set a good tone when arriving. The only issue was breakfast last Wednesday. The servers seemed pretty dismissive and didnt really seem like they enjoyed talking with guests or being there. It just made breakfast feel a little awkward. I'm so glad that I chose this hotel. I was in town rooting for my Red Sox in Cincinnati. This hotel was right across the river to the stadium, about a ten minute walk. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful open space lobby. The lobby was loud at times but it wasn't an issue for me and my friend because we're deep sleepers but if you're not, then it might be an issue. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is conveniently located near Cincinnati but my friend and I discovered that Covington is also a fun area. Staying near the Roebling Bridge is another great reason to book this hotel, you're in walking distance to good restaurants, bars, and sports venues. This is a great place to stay. I was here for a multi-day meeting and it was a very comfortable space. The rooms are large and clean and mine had a view of the river and the Reds stadium. The meeting rooms was right on the river and a great place for us to meet. No car this time, but it's walkable to local restaurants including Demetrios where I ate breakfast every morning. A better deal than the hotel restaurant. Really close to the airport. read more

Staff amazing. From check in to meeting the manager Mike(?) to check out. Room was very very nice. Atrium view, nice decor, clean and I slept like a baby. Soon as you walk in, the building has a fresh scent that goes throughout the facility. Even the valet guy on the 1st floor was super nice. Atmosphere amazing. Bar area exceptional. Every time I'm here this will definitely be my go to hotel, so much so I'll be bringing my daughter and granddaughter for a random trip. Nice walking trails on the river. Amazing view from my room. Stayed her for 2 nights in April of 2025. The hotel exceeded my expectations and I was very pleased with our stay. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Reds ballpark, so the location was perfect for our stay. The daily breakfast was delicious (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, etc) and very filling. Enjoyed spending time in the lobby bar, and the first round is complimentary in the bar every night at Happy Hour. Went for a swim in the pool and enjoyed it, unfortunately no hot tub. What set this hotel apart from many others is how nice the staff was. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again. read more

We reserved a block of rooms at the RiverCenter for a birthday/NYE celebration nearby and the experience could not have been better. We had drinks and dined at Mash & Oak before the big party - food was delicious and reasonably priced, as were the beverages. The room was spacious and clean with a stunning view of the river and downtown. Any and all staff that we encountered throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. More importantly, as the host of the event, I had lots of interactions with Cameron and Tate, who assisted with my block of rooms and dining for a large group on NYE - they were beyond helpful and accommodating .... highly recommend! read more

The Riverside Marriott is located across the street from the convention center in Covington. It's layout is strange - you ride an elevator up 4 floors to get to the lobby. The desk is off to one side - the restaurant takes center stage. That said, the rooms are nicely laid out and clean. There is plenty of parking down the street. Now the not so great - My room was cold. Real cold. Yes, it is 20 degrees outside, but with the heat going, it didn't warm until the sun came streaming in. I can only assume the person that ordered the shower head never tried it. It looks pretty, but either strips your skin off or - well it doesn't do avery good job. Everything is very expensive, and despite mediocre service, it seems everyone has their hands out for tips. read more

Attention military/government! This is the best rate on a weekend! It may not be near everything that Newport has to offer, but there is a $1.00 trolley you can take to get there. It's clean, rooms are big and beds comfy. It's a short walk to both stadiums for the Reds and Bengals. There is a liquor store and Taco Bell for late night needs right down the street! If you get stuck at the Cincinnati airport due plane malfunction and you have to pick a hotel nearby, I'd recommend this one, although it is a solid $39-40 Uber ride from the airport, about 12 miles away. I probably should have picked something closer but this one said 'Covington' so I though it would be near the airport. It's a nice place, but still very lively at 10:30 pm! Folks singing and shouting outside, loud music. I'm on the 7th floor but I can hear all the outside celebrations, which is odd for a Thursday night, but this must be in a hopping part of town. The pool closed by the time I checked in but I'll catch a swim in the morning as it looks quite nice!! Front desk staff were lovely, too. This is a very nice hotel. read more

WOW if I could give more stars I would. I flew in here so unsure about parking but there is a parking deck downstairs. You're right by the roeblig bridge (spelling?). You can walk across to downtown or walk along the Kentucky side of a fun beer garden/plaza. Please please please any manager reading this AISHA AND TALI!!! Omg the most genial wonderful humans alive! Our plane went into maintenance and normally our crew has some trouble managing and organizing our extended stays but omg they were so sweet and exceptionally on it. They had what we needed before we even got there. I've stayed at many Mariotts (titanium elite member) and this is hands down the best one I have literally ever been to. Absolutely incredible and mainly because of the delightful staff. Even gave us recommendations on things to do! The breakfast is INCREDIBLE!! It's vast and fresh. Absolutely worth paying for breakfast also Connie in the breakfast area and the other lady ong they never sit down they keep that food fresh and stocked one minute I saw eggs running low and I'm not even kidding I turned for a second and entire fresh round of eggs were in its place. Beautiful lobby. Excellent service and just downright jovial and knowledgeable staff. Please give them a raise! Best service I have ever had. (Tali and Aisha! I was torn between a 3 and 4 star rating. The hotel is gorgeous and I loved the room. It was clean despite other reviews. My issue is that they don't mention things to you such as the paid parking is NOT ATTACHED. The elevators are super confusing and the front desk person was very unhelpful and looked very unhappy to be there. Who the heck designed this place? The Cincinnati Marriott at River center is in a great location, and the hotel itself was in very good shape. You could tell they keep it up well. They seem to be a big convention hotel. The atrium and glass elevators are a nice touch. The friendly helpful staff was also a nice feature. If you find yourself in the Cincinnati area on business this hotel is a great choice. read more

Don't stay here unless you are attending a meeting in the hotel. It's overpriced with a convoluted floorplan/elevator system and the rooms are really nothing special. Hampton Inn is nicer. In our case, the A/C was out in our room and the ancient ice machine on our floor was out of order. In the morning I discovered our coffee maker was full of mold. The hotel is not really walkable to anything. This should be a $100-$125/night hotel. We paid $225 with tax as a Marriott member. We made a poor choice. read more

Being from the area, I've always heard that the Marriott at RiverCenter was an awesome hotel. Great location & that Marriott level of service that one could expect. How truly wrong I was about this Marriott. I wanted to show off my hometown to my girlfriend and splurged on a city view room with a balcony. Having paid over $250 for one night, we both expected a memorable experience, unfortunately for us it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. This hotel is set up a little differently than most. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and one must take an elevator or stairs to the lobby then from there take another elevator to your room. We arrived to a very long line for the elevators to reach the lobby. After waiting several minutes we were informed that one of their elevators wasn't working (something mentioned in other reviews). After waiting 15-20 we lugged our bags up 3 flights of stairs. At 4:30 (one of the busier times for hotel check-ins) there was one woman and one man working the front desk. The man finished with his guest first. We waited for him to call us over but he never did. There was a line of approximately 3-4 couples behind us but there was never an explanation on why he didn't help anyone. The woman was nice but didn't recognize my elite status with Marriott....kind of frustrating when you spend thousands of your own money every year on hotels.... The room was very small. Balcony & view were awesome but bathroom had all sorts of issues, which negatively affected our stay. Peeling wallpaper, a shower door that was extremely difficult to move, no shower gel bottle and a vent that looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Thinking about how dirty the vent was kind of gave us the creeps.....all that dead skin/fecal matter/who knows what could have been floating around in there. Also the walls are paper thin and being right across the hall from the elevator, you could constantly hear people and it was evident that they do not have security as people were partying late into the night. The hotel was fine, nothing outrageously amazing but also not as bad as some of the Yelp reviews say, at least from what I could see. The biggest problem I had was that they couldn't find my reservation at first and needed a manager to find it - not what you want to go through after a long day of work and travel. The pool was nice, although the hours of operation when you ask the staff are definitely different online and on the sign out front - the postings say the pool opens at 6, the staff says 7. One day when I tried to go at 7:10 a.m. the other day, it was locked until I asked the front desk to do something about it. The pool itself isn't the greatest, but I don't know many hotels where you can get a legit lap swim workout in, so other than it being dimly lit at night, I couldn't complain. The workout room was nicely stocked with towels and cups for water, and even some fruit in the morning. That was a nice touch. The drinks at the bar - at least the beers - weren't that expensive, and Brian the bartender was especially helpful and polite and made sure to treat each guest like they were welcome at the bar. read more

Stayed in the 11th floor in the corner and had a nice view. Super clean, love the top end hair and body products and the fact that they don't use little bottles anymore because they care about the planet and we don't need all that plastic in the earth! Please be sure to make sure your room is clean. Ppl have complained that their bed sheets were soiled. My room was barely vacuumed as I saw hair ties on the ground each night. Also, the mirrors are not cleaned as I swatted a bug on the mirror. However, the cleaning staff did not wipe the mirror. They do offer free laundry service in the 3th floor. Their buffet breakfast ($20) is worth it. Comes with eggs, hash browns, pancakes, several fresh fruits and smoked salmon. The confusing thing about this hotel is you take 2 separate elevators to get to the lobby / gym and a separate elevator to get to the guest rooms. So confusing for new customers. Also, my room had a lot of construction / noise upstairs. Very annoying. The good thing about this hotel is that it's across the bridge from the Reds and Bengals stadium. Parking is $10 per day at the garage by the side of the building. Garage is small and tough if you drive a big car. If you book here, be careful and make sure the room is clean. read more

3.5 stars. A regular full service hotel from the Marriott family. It is clean and feels upscale. Rooms are solid and you can see the Cincinnati skyline if you get the waterfront rooms. The M club lounge is okay, nothing too fancy, but meets the needs. Breakfast here is not bad but the dinner snacks are a bit short of expectations. Associates are generally nice and helpful. But I don't feel the extra love for my Marriott status. My biggest issue with this hotel is they don't have their own parking. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel but it is managed by another company. So essentially you are just paying to park in a public structure. A couple of times they were almost out of parking spots at late night when I arrive to this hotel. read more

Just average. Stayed here for a conference. First for the positive. All employees I spoke to were friendly and helpful at checkin and throughout the stay. Now for the not-so-positive. The floor of my room was filthy - hair, crumbs, you name it. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom. In the gym, there were 6 treadmills and 3 were broken. The water machine was broken. Due to weather, I chose to walk the hallways & stairs for exercise. All the floors needed vacuuming - bottle caps, food, paper, general trash. Even on my last day, halls we're never cleaned. Ice makers broken. The staff were great but the overall cleanliness & maintenance issues of this hotel make it just 'average' at best. read more

Decent hotel with a modern look and a very nice staff. It's right by the river and has a nice view if you have a room facing the river. The washers and dryers are free as well as the laundry detergent and fabric softener. Always a nice touch for travelers I think. Not too far from the sports stadiums so it seems like a good place to stay if you are on the area for that. Huge lobby area with the see thru elevators which i like. The rooms are big with large beds and a nice sized couch with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Staff were nice and polite here. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Im so torn on this review... Was here in town for a work meeting. The moment I walked in the hotel it smelled Musty... Maybe because there is a waterfall in the lobby & they are under construction but it was just super musty all over. Then I get a room on 2 at first I was bummed right, like 2 right above front desk, but then I thought maybe because all my team meetings were in Conf Rooms on 2 and maybe they thought being on the same floor as my rooms would be great. Meeting rooms were nice, GREAT VIEW out the Conf Room. However, the smell outside of our conf rooms was as if there was a super party over the weekend and someone threw up all in the little area & it was never cleaned. It smelled soo bad. So the must & throw up was just crazy! Food was Good, Snacks were great. Room service ordered food & there was a card on my tray that said to put tray in hallway when finished, well said Tray then sat there about 24 hours before anyone picked it up! It was just meh, might consider other Marriott's when back in the area for meetings. read more

My family and I stayed here for an event we attended at US Bank Arena. The hotel was right over the bridge, and getting access to downtown Cincinnati was seamless. I'm a Marriott platinum rewards member and check in was super easy like all Marriott hotels. My room key was sent directly to my phone, and I was able to walk directly to my room without needing to stop at the front desk. Our room was clean, modern, and it and a great view of the downtown Cincinnati skyline. I like how the hotel gives you the opportunity to valet your car or park it in a garage; many hotels will force valet. The room was very reasonably priced considering the downtown location and city views. There were only a few minor things missing from our stay, such as no microwave in the room and no free breakfast, that bumped this review down to four stars in my opinion. However, we'd definitely stay here again! read more

Rooms dirty and/or broken into and event planner unresponsive!! We reserved a block of hotel rooms many months in advance for a wedding. Six weeks before the wedding, after invitations were sent out, the hotel dropped our option to reserve more rooms in the block. The event planner did not respond for weeks at a time to any queries/confirmation. We had planned to pay for use of the hotel shuttle, but the week before the event were told there was another group using the shuttle We had two different wedding quests have problems with their rooms. The first one checked into a room and found it had not been cleaned. They were offered one night free during their stay (2 nights) but at check out there was no discount The second quest returned to their room late at night, on their second night staying there, to find broken glass and blood in the room. They were moved to another room with only one bed (there were three people staying in that room. They were given a free breakfast as compensation. I suggest you use another hotel! read more

Arrived to my room and the view was amazing. Went to take a icture on the balcony and stepped on beer cans. Looked down and had 2 beer cans and 2 bottles empty on the balcony. Housekeeping must never check the ancillary areas I guess. Asked for a French vanilla creamer or pumpkin spice to add to my coffee and server bartender says this isn't Starbucks. Marriott member lounge closed. No other optional offerings via the buffet or otherwise. Folks yes it's covid but this should already be back open with safety precautions, especially to a titanium member class and up. Not impressed at all with this location. Staff never even lifted a finger to offer to come up with an alternative when I tried to work downstairs before business and could not use the member lounge or grab food. Zero attention to detail and membership. In the bottom of hotel stays this year. read more

Very nice looking, clean hotel, with a very friendly staff. I had to dock a little for two reasons: firstly the bathroom door is this cute slider that just won't shut. I can't imagine sharing this room because you would have no privacy. Second, anytime one of my neighbors doors would open it sounded like mine was opening, absolutely no soundproofing. Since the center of the building is open the sound carries up. I could hear nearly everything happening in the lobby in the evening, not great after a long day of traveling. I would however stay here again, the rooms are very clean and spacious with a beautiful modern look. read more

I really enjoyed my two night stay here. I got in pretty late the evening of check in and was dropped off at the lower lever and was a little confused when I entered the empty vestibule. I finally figured out to take the elevator up for check in. I wasn't greeted as a Marriott member which was a little unusual. I am normally leery of rooms built around an open space since they can be noisy, but this was one of the quietest rooms I have had in recent memory. I didn't hear my neighbors or any out side noise - which helped get that fourth star. Other than that the rooms are pretty standard with a small fridge and coffee pot. What I really liked was the bridge to the Conference Center. I used that bridge a ton between meetings, to drop things off, it was just so convenient. And the exit experience was so much better than the check in. I asked for a little later check out and they were very accommodating and reminded me to come down and rescan my room keys. read more

This is by far the WORST Marriott! The ad said 2 beds with a free roll away. Perfect for the 3 of us. When I arrived, the front desk guy said "I'm new". Ok, but when I found out that a roll away was not available for any room and the ones with 2 beds didn't have a couch either. He would call the manager or make a call to another Marriott. After an hour or so, he says She checked in' on the phone. I said No, I'm standing here, and the key is on the desk."" Later, another guy shows up and says he is the manager. Together, we look at 2 more rooms. Then he waits on more customers while I wait. After another hour, he gets on the phone with a woman he calls Boss. She asks "How many nights" (9). She demands that I call my husband and find out what the ad said. Then she says that she won't refund any money. Followed by another lie. She says we only have 1 night's money. Then she says I must stay 1 night" I disagreed. After nearly 4 hours I called another hotel. In total I looked at 8 rooms, and waited 4 and a half hours. I was repeatedly lied to. I don't know if I can get my money back. I am a Bonvoy member. I'm wondering ' Should I be a Bonvoy member. read more

I ordered in-room service and my burger was contained toppings that I requested for them to take off. I also requested ketchup which they did not bring. But the worst part is, my burger was raw inside. I called in-room service to correct the issue and they stated that the kitchen was closed. It was a $40 meal yet they couldn't remake the burger? Checked in here during the week as I was traveling for business. It's right across from the convention center which is really nice. They are currently undergoing some renovations, but there wasn't an issue with any noise or disturbance. The room was very modern and clean. It looks like it must have been renovated recently. The room was spacious and I received a king bed, which I prefer. I stayed on a low floor, but didn't mind. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. read more

Came here for a work symposium that was being held at the hotel. This hotel is massive, I love the lobby and how you see the elevators and all the floors. On the top floor is the concierge lounge, platinum and above members will have access to this room. Visited it a few times. Great place to get bottles of water, quiet time, computer access, etc. They offer platinum members free breakfast here but I never woke up early enough to enjoy it. Because of my status, they upgraded me to a room on the river side and I got to enjoy the view of the Bengals field and the Ferris wheel. The room also had a balcony but it was really small, only enough for one person to look out. Also my room was conveniently located right in front of the elevators. The rooms for our symposium was conveniently located all on the 1st floor. It was easy to get from one room to another meeting room. The hotel is a great layout for work gatherings. Our breakfasts and lunches were all served on the 2nd floor (the only downside was that if there were any speeches we couldn't really hear it because it was all open space). The location is great. There's a bunch of stuff all within walking distance. We even walked over the bridge and there's more stuff on that side to do, bars/restaurants/you name it, they got it. The biggest downside was the construction. During the day there was construction on multiple floors (they had coverings on all those floors so that dust and debris wouldn't travel everywhere). Sometimes I had breaks between my meetings and I would want to take a power nap but wasn't able to because I felt the vibration and noise from my room (the same for when my meetings would start later). read more

Where to start. First we booked a king size room but they gave us 2 queens. They we snipping when we asked why they switched and had no explanation but gave us an handicapped king and said it was the only one available. The hotel was a ghost town so I don't believe it was the only king left. The room had a smell to it we got used to along with a broken shower head, broken toilet paper roll and the shampoo and lotion bottles were used. During the day we had a housekeeper walk in unannounced. When I chased him down he said he thought he was going into a closet. To get to the pool you take a separate elevator to the 3rd floor, go through the fitness center (which also was pretty foul smelling) and take another elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the unheated pool which seems like an afterthought in the construction plans. The men's room in the fitness center was closed too? They really need basic signage everywhere as nothing is marked with one elevator calling the lobby L in the elevator and the other P??? The few people staying there were generally confused and everyone was helping each other out. The parking garage while I don't expect much is pretty bad with ceiling tiles falling all over and pretty gross. Overall a just a bad hotel without basic management which we will never stay at again. Will stay at the Embassy Suites next door. read more
