I had just enough luck to get a bed, four walls, and a view of... the other hotel chains. I'm kidding. I had a great view of the river. Honestly? Clean. Quiet. Safe. What more do you want, a turn-down chocolate? The carpet may have seen some things, but so have I so equal playing field. There's a little charm in the way the air conditioning hums like a broken lullaby. Would stay again.

A great Hotel to stay if you are in the area. The property is very well kept, the staff is friendly and professional. The Hotel offers an indoor pool, great gym, executive lounge and in property restaurant. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Location is fantastic. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Keep this property in mind if you are in the area. Cheers!

Staff amazing. From check in to meeting the manager Mike(?) to check out. Room was very very nice. Atrium view, nice decor, clean and I slept like a baby. Soon as you walk in, the building has a fresh scent that goes throughout the facility. Even the valet guy on the 1st floor was super nice. Atmosphere amazing. Bar area exceptional. Every time I'm here this will definitely be my go to hotel, so much so I'll be bringing my daughter and granddaughter for a random trip. Nice walking trails on the river. Amazing view from my room. These employees are exactly who you want to interact with in a hospitality environment. Makes me wish I could work there with them. 10 stars!!!!!!

Attention military/government! This is the best rate on a weekend! It may not be near everything that Newport has to offer, but there is a $1.00 trolley you can take to get there. It's clean, rooms are big and beds comfy. It's a short walk to both stadiums for the Reds and Bengals. There is a liquor store and Taco Bell for late night needs right down the street! (I would drive). Valet is great too!

If you get stuck at the Cincinnati airport due plane malfunction and you have to pick a hotel nearby, I'd recommend this one, although it is a solid $39-40 Uber ride from the airport, about 12 miles away. I probably should have picked something closer but this one said 'Covington' so I though it would be near the airport. It's a nice place, but still very lively at 10:30 pm! Folks singing and shouting outside, loud music. I'm on the 7th floor but I can hear all the outside celebrations, which is odd for a Thursday night, but this must be in a hopping part of town. The pool closed by the time I checked in but I'll catch a swim in the morning as it looks quite nice!! Front desk staff were lovely, too. This is a very nice hotel.

The breakfasts spread with fresh lox!

WOW if I could give more stars I would. I flew in here so unsure about parking but there is a parking deck downstairs. You're right by the roeblig bridge (spelling?). You can walk across to downtown or walk along the Kentucky side of a fun beer garden/plaza. Please please please any manager reading this AISHA AND TALI!!! Omg the most genial wonderful humans alive! Our plane went into maintenance and normally our crew has some trouble managing and organizing our extended stays but omg they were so sweet and exceptionally on it. They had what we needed before we even got there. I've stayed at many Mariotts (titanium elite member) and this is hands down the best one I have literally ever been to. Absolutely incredible and mainly because of the delightful staff. Even gave us recommendations on things to do! The breakfast is INCREDIBLE!! It's vast and fresh. Absolutely worth paying for breakfast also Connie in the breakfast area and the other lady ong they never sit down they keep that food fresh and stocked one minute I saw eggs running low and I'm not even kidding I turned for a second and entire fresh round of eggs were in its place. Beautiful lobby. Excellent service and just downright jovial and knowledgeable staff. Please give them a raise! Best service I have ever had. (Tali and Aisha! Oh, and Connie for breakfast) Gym isn't pictures but It's HUGE! And has a barbell amongst several weight machines. KB, and several ranges of DB, and cardio machines

I was torn between a 3 and 4 star rating. The hotel is gorgeous and I loved the room. It was clean despite other reviews. My issue is that they don't mention things to you such as the paid parking is NOT ATTACHED. The elevators are super confusing and the front desk person was very unhelpful and looked very unhappy to be there. Who the heck designed this place? No free breakfast despite the price, either. + points for the pool

    Moldy coffee anyone?

Don't stay here unless you are attending a meeting in the hotel. It's overpriced with a convoluted floorplan/elevator system and the rooms are really nothing special. Hampton Inn is nicer. In our case, the A/C was out in our room and the ancient ice machine on our floor was out of order. In the morning I discovered our coffee maker was full of mold. The hotel is not really walkable to anything. This should be a $100-$125/night hotel. We paid $225 with tax as a Marriott member. We made a poor choice.

The hotel was fine, nothing outrageously amazing but also not as bad as some of the Yelp reviews say, at least from what I could see. The biggest problem I had was that they couldn't find my reservation at first and needed a manager to find it - not what you want to go through after a long day of work and travel. The pool was nice, although the hours of operation when you ask the staff are definitely different online and on the sign out front - the postings say the pool opens at 6, the staff says 7. One day when I tried to go at 7:10 a.m. the other day, it was locked until I asked the front desk to do something about it. The pool itself isn't the greatest, but I don't know many hotels where you can get a legit lap swim workout in, so other than it being dimly lit at night, I couldn't complain. The workout room was nicely stocked with towels and cups for water, and even some fruit in the morning. That was a nice touch. The drinks at the bar - at least the beers - weren't that expensive, and Brian the bartender was especially helpful and polite and made sure to treat each guest like they were welcome at the bar.

Being from the area, I've always heard that the Marriott at RiverCenter was an awesome hotel. Great location & that Marriott level of service that one could expect. How truly wrong I was about this Marriott. I wanted to show off my hometown to my girlfriend and splurged on a city view room with a balcony. Having paid over $250 for one night, we both expected a memorable experience, unfortunately for us it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. This hotel is set up a little differently than most. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and one must take an elevator or stairs to the lobby then from there take another elevator to your room. We arrived to a very long line for the elevators to reach the lobby. After waiting several minutes we were informed that one of their elevators wasn't working (something mentioned in other reviews). After waiting 15-20 we lugged our bags up 3 flights of stairs. At 4:30 (one of the busier times for hotel check-ins) there was one woman and one man working the front desk. The man finished with his guest first. We waited for him to call us over but he never did. There was a line of approximately 3-4 couples behind us but there was never an explanation on why he didn't help anyone. The woman was nice but didn't recognize my elite status with Marriott....kind of frustrating when you spend thousands of your own money every year on hotels.... The room was very small. Balcony & view were awesome but bathroom had all sorts of issues, which negatively affected our stay. Peeling wallpaper, a shower door that was extremely difficult to move, no shower gel bottle and a vent that looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Thinking about how dirty the vent was kind of gave us the creeps.....all that dead skin/fecal matter/who knows what could have been floating around in there. Also the walls are paper thin and being right across the hall from the elevator, you could constantly hear people and it was evident that they do not have security as people were partying late into the night. If you want a view this place has it, but not much else.......

Please be sure to make sure your room is clean. Ppl have complained that their bed sheets were soiled. My room was barely vacuumed as I saw hair ties on the ground each night. Also, the mirrors are not cleaned as I swatted a bug on the mirror. However, the cleaning staff did not wipe the mirror. They do offer free laundry service in the 3th floor. Their buffet breakfast ($20) is worth it. Comes with eggs, hash browns, pancakes, several fresh fruits and smoked salmon. The confusing thing about this hotel is you take 2 separate elevators to get to the lobby / gym and a separate elevator to get to the guest rooms. So confusing for new customers. Also, my room had a lot of construction / noise upstairs. Very annoying. The good thing about this hotel is that it's across the bridge from the Reds and Bengals stadium. Parking is $10 per day at the garage by the side of the building. Garage is small and tough if you drive a big car. If you book here, be careful and make sure the room is clean.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

This turned out to be unfounded as we could barely hear the bridge traffic. -- The hotel has a swimming room and on-site fitness room that we didn't use. -- The free breakfast had a huge variety of hot (eggs, sausages, oatmeal, pancakes) and cold (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits) options, as well as different options for coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. Neighborhood could be sketchy at night. We're from Detroit area so NBD to us for frame of reference. Our room was very very clean, unlike some of the other reviews I've read about this location. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson. I took photos and videos immediately and showed them to the front desk. Honestly, I should have canceled on the spot, but the front desk clerk, Ms. Kristina, was kind and asked me to try another room. That second room was somehow even worse than the first. At that point, I canceled my stay entirely. I was specifically told that once the manager, Jennifer Jacobs (who has been avoiding my calls since), returned the next day, my refund would be approved because I booked through Booking.com and manager authorization was needed. That approval never came. Instead, after 11 days of calls, messages, follow-ups, and being given the runaround, I learned the General Manager denied my refund request. Let me be clear...I never stayed in either room. I was presented with two unacceptable, dirty rooms, forced to scramble and find another hotel, wasted time dealing with staff and customer service, and still ended up out $500. So the hotel's position is apparently ... they can offer unsanitary accommodations, fail to remedy the issue after a second attempt, inconvenience the guest, and then keep the guest's money anyway. I literally feel violated. Again, don't book this hotel, and think twice before booking through Booking.com as well. See the screenshots from the video I took of the second room they tried to give me. Dirty pillow, dirt smudges in shower and doorway, and (the worst) butt crust on the toilet seat.

We went out to the pool once and found no clean towels in the clean towel bin. We asked the front desk to get two towels. She said she only had one but would bring more out. That never happened. We stayed in the pool for an hour and no one brought any towels out.

So I paid out of pocket till things could get sorted out in the morning. The next day I was told they found my reservation and refunded me. When my co workers arrived. Same thing. They couldn't find their reservation and made them pay out of pocket. Then the next day they " found the reservations. But then the next morning the front desk came to my door at 10:45am telling me we have to check out saying they don't have us booked any longer. The rooms were dirty, the staff were ignorant and when I brought up the issues upon check out they called me ugly and were very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Over the past week, I have made multiple attempts to contact management to address several serious issues, yet I have received no call back or acknowledgment. Each time I reached out, the staff I spoke with were rude, dismissive, and even hung up on me, making this situation extremely difficult and frustrating. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room where the television did not work, and wet paint was still present throughout the area. In addition, someone in or near the room was smoking an excessive amount of marijuana, making the environment unbearable. Because of these conditions, we were forced to change rooms despite being exhausted from long travels and simply needing rest. Unfortunately, the second room was equally unacceptable. We woke up to find cigarette burns on the sheets and rodent glue on the countertops--conditions that are both unsanitary and unsafe. Had we known the facility was in this state, we would have never chosen to stay at this location. It has now been a week since these issues occurred, and despite leaving written notes and making repeated calls, management has not contacted me. I have also not received my deposit back, nor any update regarding the refund I am requesting for this night's stay. Based on the unacceptable conditions of the rooms, the lack of professionalism from staff, and the complete absence of management responsiveness, I am demanding a full refund for the night in question, as well as the immediate return of my deposit. I will also be attaching photos as proof of the conditions described above.

I've stayed at many luxury five-star hotels, but this place left a much stronger impression on me than most of them. The hotel has a warm, inviting ambiance, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond. If you're looking for a place to stay, look no further. On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

The table in our room had dried up crusty stuff on it. We let the front desk know, but the two younger girls running reception shrugged and said they'd let their manager know. This was immediately after we checked in, around 4pm. No one ever contacted us, so it didn't seem like a manager was ever informed. Or maybe the manager simply didn't care. I went to use the hair dryer later that evening and discovered it didn't work. We again let the front desk know, but no one seemed concerned. They have an outside area in the back and it's nice to sit. We had dinner out there and enjoyed it. The pool water was very cloudy, you couldn't see your own hand underneath. I'm not sure if that's normal or not! The breakfast was okay but they were out of a lot of things. No yogurt, no apple juice, no real butter (only vegetable shortening), no bagels. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels and I've never stayed at one so dirty. If we're ever in this area again, I would definitely not return.
