***This Marriott has several pluses including a Concierge Lounge open on weekends, a great view of the city if you are in the right room and a very convenient location (a quick walk over the bridge to get to Downtown Cincinnati or either of the stadiums--MLB, NFL); overall, it is a nice hotel though there are areas where it could be better (nicer bathrooms, more contemporary bedrooms)*** This Marriott is close to Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium so it is probably mostly filled with game attendees during home game days. This Marriott has a very convenient location. It is a quick 15-minute or so walk to get to the baseball stadium (an extra 10 minutes to get to the football stadium). It is a real advantage so you do not have to deal with the high prices, traffic and frustrations that comes with stadium parking. Those stadiums are in Downtown Cincinnati so this hotel is also a quick walk to downtown destinations. There are other pluses at this hotel including a great view of the city skyline and stadiums when in rooms facing the river (great to watch fireworks). The rooms are comfortable with good A/C units--necessary for the hot and humid Ohio summers. For Marriott Gold and Platinum members, a nice bonus is that the Concierge Lounge is open on weekends (a rarity in the U.S.). The food at the Concierge Lounge was just okay. I was not a fan of the scrambled eggs. They were more like a big omelet than scrambled eggs (though a lot of buffet eggs can go the other way and be too soupy). The flavor of the eggs was not that good--a little bit of an off putting fragrance that can accompany eggs. For breakfast meats, sausage links were available both days, but they were different--big and greasy sausage one day and smaller, more Bob Evans-like sausage the other day. Fruit, a variety of cereal and an assortment of below average pastries were also available. At night, this Concierge Lounge featured BBQ items that are popular throughout the city including very sweet BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and Saratoga chips with BBQ sauce; unfortunately, they use a K.C. Masterpiece-like BBQ sauce here and I think the thinner and more vinegary Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce works better with chips. Other options included crackers, nuts, spicy Cajun mix, crudité, and cheese triangles. Because the Concierge Lounge is not open late on weekends, dessert is served with appetizers (a variety of standard dessert bars were offered). The fitness center was big and nice (big restrooms and even showers were available). While the rooms were comfortable enough, they were not that contemporary. The bathroom was small and there was significant room for improvement--the faucet did not extend that far beyond the sink basin so your hands are constantly hitting the back of the basin when washing your hands; in addition, the tub should be replaced (lots of unrepairable damage). Marriotts either feature wide shower heads with a wide cascade of water with good water pressure or shower heads with a powerful, straight-on shot of water; it was the latter here. Noise does not bother me much at hotels, but the design of this hotel with its huge atrium that shoots up 16 floors (a unique look) results in a lot of noise especially during game day when the groups are bigger and rowdier. Service was friendly and professional throughout the hotel. Prices are typically high at this hotel due to its prime location so it is best to reserve your room early. This is a comfortable but also outdated hotel. Still, it has a lot of pluses not often found at Marriotts including a great view of the city and a Concierge Lounge open seven days a week. It also has a great location, which makes this hotel a very good option if you are in town primarily to see the Bengals or Reds play. Both self parking via a pay structure and valet parking are available. Valet parking ($28/day) is the best option if you are planning to go in and out a lot. Self parking is lower with a lower daily maximum rate (I believe $10); unfortunately, it resets every time you go out. read more

This is a nice modern hotel. Rooms are updated and clean. There are some amazing views of Cincinnati and the river. However, there have always been fingerprints on the windows! WiFi is not free unless you're a higher-end rewards member. We had a difficult experience with a valet during our last stay. We also learned that valet is NOT mandatory and it DOES cost $28. The parking/valet is not part of Marriott, so choose this option wisely. read more

I was quite impressed. This is a great hotel. From the food, the staff, the accommodations, it was refreshing to see the Marriott brand shine again. They were in the midst of some renovations, but certainly didn't take away from the overall interior or exterior. They have valet parking, but the parking garage next door only charges $10 per day with easy access to the hotel. I would only valet if I were coming and going quite a bit during the day. I believe the main lobby is actually level 3. The street and fitness center/pool are on level 2. The fitness center is actually a health club which features Cybex workstations and LifeFitness ellipticals and treadmills. This was one of the better hotels for fitness and was similar to those at resort properties. All the staff I interacted with or walked past were very friendly and helpful. Always asking if they can help. Always saying Hi and wishing a nice day. There's a lobby bar as you enter the area. They serve food from their restaurant 10 West. The concierge lounge is on floor 14 with access from floor 15 as well. While I wasn't upgraded to the Presidential Suite, there is one on floor 15 which I peaked in while they were cleaning. Really nice with a view overlooking the river. The lounge also had a super friendly staff serving evening beverages and light snacks. In the morning there was continental breakfast as well as scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage. There is a walkway which takes you over to the convention center. Tip--- the drinks in the lobby bar are less expensive than those in the concierge lounge. Plus they have a greater selection of beers. read more

This hotel is located in Covington, Kentucky so how does that make it the "Cincinnati" Marriott? The hotel is housed in a beautiful architectural setting with glass elevators that look towards the hotel's atrium and gazebo located in the main core of the building. It is very well maintained with lots of faux flowers throughout. A parking garage is located underneath the hotel so when you enter the hotel from the main street level you actually have to take an elevator up three floors to get to the main lobby and the hotel's front desk. The hotel staff is friendly and courteous. I shared a room with a friend, and we were given a large room with double beds and a magnificent view of the Ohio River and the Cincinnati skyline. High speed Internet is free throughout the hotel and 24 hour access to the business center meant that I could stay up on California time and write my Yelps in the wee hours of the night. There is a nice bar and lounge on the lobby level that very few guests took advantage of as it was almost always empty. There are some great sitting areas on the second floor with soft leather seats, ambient lighting and fireplaces. A small gift shop is located on the lobby level along with a permanent Flying Pig statue bearing an Olympic torch. Housekeeping seemed to be a thorn in our sides however as the maids insisted on waiting until the late afternoon to clean and service our room. The maid would always leave the cold fan on high meaning we would walk back into a frigid room each night. Our only other ruffle came when we checked out to find that the hotel had tacked on a parking fee to our room even though neither my friend nor I rented a car. After disputing the charges and arguing with hotel management did they finally agreed to waive the extra fees. read more

I came here on business and really liked the hotel. As you can see in the pictures, this Marriott boasts the largest indoor gazebo in the country. This totally affected my decision to stay here (just kidding). The front desk lady told me this fun fact and I thought it was comical. Anyways, there were some good things to note about this hotel. I ate dinner at the bar three nights that week and everything was excellent. The french onion soup, salad (its wrapped in a cucumber! I forget the name but it was awesome), and the cajun chicken sandwich were all awesome. My favorite was the edamame hummus. It sounds weird, but it was awesome. The bartenders are also very nice and served very well. One convinced me to get the deep dish apple pie. This was a smart decision. It's rare to find a hotel with a delicious, reasonably priced menu. This hotel supported my laziness considering I didn't have to leave to get great food. I would give the food 4.5 stars. The hotel gym was awesome. AWESOME. Apparently people from around town buy memberships and come there to work out. There are lots of weight machines, ellipticals, treadmills, a bike, yoga balls, free weights, yoga mats, etc. The leg weight machines make my life complete! With all the delicious food I ate there, I needed all these things. My room was clean and average size as I expected. The bed was comfortable. Sometimes there are barges going by so it can get a little noisy but not enough to wake you up at night. The concierge lounge (for gold members) was great. The had the yummiest desserts! One night was chocolate mousse, another night was chocolate cake. They have fresh baked cookies each night as well. YUMMY! Some of the snacks in the evening included a taco bar, spicy chicken wings, and mini meatballs. I would recommend this hotel to those staying in the area. I was very pleased with my stay. read more

The inside of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The price was really reasonable for a king bed room. We got a corner room with an amazing/stunning view of the city, bridge and river. The trolley outside of the hotel gets you where you need to go. From the German village to reds stadium, just take the trolley. My wife and I elected to walk to Reds stadium which was not a bad walk. Cincinnati? Really, it's in Kentucky. Now that's out of the way, whoa... this place is a nice hotel. The atrium is amazing, and yeah, the rooms are nice too. I was there, during a remodeling, but even with it not completely finished, it had the look of a top notch place to stay. The front desk people there are friendly, and willing to go out of their way, to help you get things, done, including getting FexEx packaging materials, which the were missing a specific waybill form, to giving me a bottle of water (I have no status at Marriott hotels) and without a fee. The rooms are clean, smell good, and the beds are the usual goodness of a newish Marriott. Parking was reasonable, and the view of the water was nice. If I was going to Cincinnati again, I would come and stay here, even if I normally stay at Hilton hotels. read more

We had our company Christmas party in the river view ballroom last night. It was absolutely wonderful! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Emily Rose the bartender! She did excellent! The view!! We had access to the patio overlooking Cincinnati skyline. The room was decorated so beautifully. The details were taken care of. The food was delicious. I recommend the Mediterranean chicken and the chocolate Yule roll. We also stayed overnight. Big shout out to Aisha for picking us the perfect room. It was clean, trendy, comfortable, and the view!!! To see Cincinnati from our windows was just amazing. I need to thank Christy Alwell who helped me plan our party. She was super easy to work with and everything we discussed, happened. This is where we stay when we are going to see the Cincinnati Reds. Access to all areas is great; there are bus routes and trolley routes that stop here, and you can often catch a carriage ride here. The hotel is an atrium type where all rooms face the interior; great architecture and design make this a fun place to just hang out. The restaurant "10 West" is great and has a good view. Everyone here was friendly and helpful; the Concierge lounge overlooks the atrium and has decent breakfast for Platinum Elite. Marriott quality abounds here in the beds, showers, TV, everything. Our room even had some video game console (I'm sure it costs) and a fantastic view of the fireworks at the Reds stadium. read more

Very conveniently location to the convention center and to downtown Cincinnati. Staff was pleasant upon check in and check out but that was about it. The comforters on the beds in my room were stained and the carpet was torn and unraveling. I did call the front desk once but no one answered. A group from our company gathered for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, 10 West. We had a group of 10 and were the only ones in the entire restaurant. It took over and hour and 20 minutes for our food to come out and most dishes were horrible. I ordered the burger and it was dry and over cook. I did not send it back in fear it would be about her hour wait. The room was not very peaceful as the noise in the bar lobby echos through the entire facility. I was even woken up in the middle of the night from the noise. There were only about 6 people in the bar and just their talking and laughing echoed up to the 6 floor. Coworkers on the 14 floor also mentioned being awaken by the noises in the middle of the night. At 156 dollars a night I would have expect a cleaner, more together facility. read more

Wouldn't stay here again, if it weren't for the Marriott name, it would be a very basic hotel. Very outdated. Looks like they're remodeling some floors though. The bed was painfully uncomfortable, the pillow option was either hard as a rock or lumpy/thin. The TV in the room was tiny. There's not even a coffee machine in the room. Location is easy to get into Cincinnati, and there's a few restaurants around. It's one of the cheaper hotels in the area and now we see why! I'm sure they'll hike up the price after the remodel. read more

Very interesting. They are under construction so it was difficult to get from Valet to the Lobby upstairs. The room was good, spacious and comfortable. Interesting twist, they charge $9.95 for the breakfast buffet (per person) that is sub par to most of the other hotels and chains that I've experienced throughout my traveling across the country. The food was barely warm and was not kept hot or fresh, much less replenished (half of the items were gone with only crumbs remaining). It was not a busy time either. Stayed at this hotel on Friday September 22 for a work function to the Cincinnati Reds game. 14 of us got into the elevator to go to the street floor. The elevator got stuck in between two floors. We quickly realized we were stuck and pressed the alarm button three times. We then called for help, a lady answered, we told her we were stuck, she said ok let me go get help. At this time there was people on the outside waiting for us and we told them we were stuck. Long story short, the elevator we were on had been down for a year Being worked on. Others said when they road the elevator it was acting weird, stopping at random times. After 15 mins in the elevator stuck the hotel still had not called 911 and hotel staff were wondering around not knowing what to do. After 20 mins one of us in the elevator called 911. The person at the front desk told a coworker that they didn't want to call 911 bc the fire department gets mad at them. We were stuck in that elevator for an hour!!! Another 20 mins and people would have started to pass out it was so hot in there. The only thing offered when we got out was water. Not a discount, not a free room. The hotel itself is very beautiful and clean. But them knowing that elevator doesn't work properly and refusing to call 911 is ridiculous and I'm pretty sure by law they should have called 911. read more

The hotel is in a nice location by the river, and if you have the right room the view is great. We stayed over new year's eve, and the fireworks by the river was clearly visible. However, the facility itself is not all in tip top shape, at least not our room. - Visible stain on bed skirt - A dental floss left on the floor when we checked in - Room service made the bed, but the sheets were still wrinkled and the pillows left in a messy jumble - Missing hook on the bathroom door We stayed in a cheaper Fairfield Inn (also by Marriott) in Lexington the same week, and we had a better experience despite the lower rate. Newer furniture, larger room, cleaner place, proper room cleanup, and better response by front desk. I'm disappointed because this is an actual Marriott, not one of their smaller brands. The only reason why I'm giving the Marriott 4 stars instead of 5 is because the initial inquiries about a wedding were very stressful for me. From the time I first inquired about a wedding, up until the day of, the Marriott went through like 4 wedding planners/sales reps, which was getting stressful because I felt like I had to keep starting over, and then finding out that my deposit wasn't received by them until 10 months before the wedding (I initially reserved the space 16 months ahead of time). But anyway, I digress. Once Jessica Tomain, the one who worked with me throughout the duration of the wedding planning process, took over everything, she and the team at this Marriott location executed everything and was nothing short of exceptional. It was a HUGE relief from the experience before, and I was actually starting to get excited about everything. We did our food tastings with her about 10 months prior, and as soon as she took over everything, I can't say enough good things about this venue!!! Between last January and up until the day of (October 8th), I was emailing Jessica once every 2 weeks or so, asking TONS of questions, verifying pricing on everything, and making monthly payments (just so we didn't end up with a huge bill at the end). Jessica was very responsive and didn't mind me asking lots of questions and making sure we were on the same page throughout the entire process. I'm SUPER detail oriented and made itineraries, inventory checklist, and pricing spreadsheets and I wanted to make sure everything was super consistent and that Jessica and I were communicating everything. I felt that everything was reasonably priced, and I never felt that "ripped off" feeling that I got with a few of my other vendors for the wedding. All the pricing was very up front, and there was no hidden fees or anything of that sort. The Wednesday before the wedding, we brought all our decorations down, made sure our vendors were in contact with the hotel, and took inventory and layout of how the reception was going to be. Jessica introduced me to the banquet manager, the one who would be over seeing everything on the day of (I forget her name!) and she was very kind and helpful! I truly felt like I had an awesome team put together to host our reception. Jessica and her team FAR exceeded my expectations with everything, I couldn't be more impressed with them! The food was excellent, the dinner staff were super accommodating, and our guests had an absolute great time. On the big day, everything came together, and the Marriott pulled it off 100%. ***There was one very minor thing (I didn't find out until later), but the bartenders ended up putting out tip jars (without anyone's knowledge) during the reception, after we had cleared that up before hand that that wouldn't happen. Reason being was because I already tipped the staff 24% of the entire food/beverage bill beforehand and I didn't want my guests to feel like they had to shell out money at an open bar. This was brought to Jessica's attention and we were compensated for that, so it all worked out! Anyway, I was absolutely impressed with how the Marriott pulled everything off in the end, and am very thankful that I had such great people to work with. We had SO many of our guests tell us that our wedding was the best one they've ever been to, and I truly think the Marriott was responsible for a large portion of that. It's reasons like this why I continue to stay with Marriott hotels, and I will definitely be recommending this venue to my future engaged friends! read more

Beautiful hotel across the Ohio river from Cincinnati. Outstanding view of the Cincy skyline. Bedding was super comfortable as was everything in the room. A special thanks to Aisha Wright who welcomed me near the elevator with a Big smile and checked me in. My mother and I were very grateful for her personal attention in helping us navigate the parking and hotel details. If you think about it, the main purpose of a hotel is for sleeping. If people didn't have to sleep, there would be all-night cafes, movie theaters and book stores where people could convene. There would be nice shower facilities where travelers could start their day. This is why the noise level at this Marriott is so shocking to me. Apparently, the staff at this atrium-style hotel rents out the ends of their hallways to private parties. They take the money from hundreds and hundreds of hotel patrons, tuck them into their rooms, then allow private partiers to come in and shriek and yell until 3 am. In addition to the weddings, bachelorette parties and other gatherings taking place, there were also children running and SCREAMING up and down the hallways until after 2 am. I called the front desk to request they make the children stop, and nothing happened. I had to go out in the hall in my pajamas and ask the children to go find their parents. I am paying a pretty penny to "sleep" in this hotel. I must also sideline as a playground supervisor because the hotel staff won't do it? I will NEVER stay here again. read more

A slightly awkward property--in terms of its elevators, layout, and what is on which floors. Oh Covington/Cincinnati. I was here for a few days on business. Two stars mostly because the rate for this Marriott was unacceptably high for: 1. the market 2. the hotel amenities/what you get for the price. Some more thoughts: - Parking isn't free. Is land at a premium here? I don't think so. - Nice, very helpful staff. EVERYONE will ask you how you are - Internet is $13 a day....but it runs noon to noon....so if you sign on/pay at night...no dice...you're cut off at noon the next day - Showers in much need of renovation - Comfy bed--not too firm, not too soft - The restaurant (10 West) isn't bad... - Desks in the room aren't functional for long nights on the laptop - Decent toiletries (Bath and Body Works) - Fitness facility is "ok" but for the size of the hotel there aren't enough cardio machines and they're also crammed into a tiny space (you're basically running ON TOP of your treadmill neighbor) On my next trip to Covington/Cincinnati, I will look for a less expensive place to stay. read more

Didn't have an opportunity to sleep here but I did attend a wedding here. The banquet hall is a good size and it leans towards more of a formal style rather than casual. Very nice facility. The main Atrium in the center of the hotel is quite breathtaking however once you get out of the center of the hotel the layout gets a bit confusing or maybe I just did not have enough time to familiarize myself with my surroundings that much. Overall a GREAT place to hold an event. read more

I stay at lots and lots of Marriott's - this is one of my favorite business-class hotels. It's easy and convenient to be over on the Covington side, since that's where I have business - plus it's an easy walk to Riverside Korean BBQ (which is an awesome place to eat in the area). This hotel is more like an Embassy Suites-layout than a typical Marriott, which can be a bit annoying since noise from the lobby bar filters up to the rooms - but other than that - it's definitely better than your typical (non-resort) Marriott. They have a great gym and a really nice Concierge Lounge for the top floors & gold and platinum rewards members. One caveat - Valet parking was overly expensive (at something like $33 a night - crazy for Covington, KY!) so make sure to self-park in the garage instead. read more

I was surprised by this let-down. Marriott's are usually better than this. The Good: The views are some of the best-I felt like I had a front-row seat to the stadiums and a very picturesque view of downtown. Convenient to Cincinnati-Walk right over the bridge from Covington and you're right in the middle of everything. Connected to the Convention Center-if you are attending a conference, you can access the center via an over the street walkway. The staff-a few of the staff were very charming and went out their way to speak to and greet us. They were also quick to offer up their help or service if needed. Now, The Bad: The rooms-some of the rooms were a little dirty and the bathrooms could use an update. The Staff-the double-edged sword. While some of staff were kind, some were downright rude and condescending. There had been a mix-up with paperwork at the front desk and one of the desk people went out of their way to express how annoyed she was with not only my colleague, but with whoever she spoke to on the phone back at our office. Annoyed over a mistake that we didn't make... The service in 10 West was slow and very unapologetic, while the food was blah. In a nutshell, if you choose to stay here, you're paying for the views and access to the city. Anything else is a bonus. I'll just stay at the Hilton next time around. read more

The hotel had beautiful rooms overlooking the river. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable The bellman were excellent and courteous. Not so much the front desk staff at check in. Seems like we bothered her with our questions. The wait staff in the restaurant was awful. We waited for a table even though the place was empty due to unbiased tables and no wait staff. No organization and we ended up walking out due to others telling us not to eat there. We were a party of 8 and dead tired from traveling but we found an outside restaurant to eat after hearing how bad the service was. Next morning went for complimentary breakfast doe to being Marriott Rewards members and it was not good service again. Would not recommend eating here unless your desperate.. hopefully they can get some competent staff at some point to run the restaurant. . read more

Not my favourite hotel. The rooms are clean, the lounge area is really nice, the staff was great. No microwave or fridge (unless you ask for the fridge), the clean staff took my booze but left the dishes and the trash. Thanks for that! You have to be silver member to get to the 14th floor to get drinks (you buy it) or free food. Hint: The liquor store is an 8 min walk and worth it. Just go down 4th street. The Embassy next door has free drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 (bottom shelf) and free breakfast at 6:30 weekdays, omelets, bacon, sausage and the have captain crunch on tap. Quiet, clean, loved just about everything about our 1 night visit. The Pure room option is fantastic and recommended if you need/want to care about allergens and air quality. Hotel staff was overwhelmingly nice & helpful and the valet was super prompt with bringing up our car. Location was easy to find and convenient to downtown & Newport. You got it goin on, Marriott! I was here recently to attend the A&G Convention. The lobby with waterfall, glass elevators and view to all floors was quite beautiful. My experience in the bar was also fabulous. The bartender was super friendly and accomodating. The drinks were strong and well crafted. The bridge connection from the Marriott to the convention center made my A&G experience that much better. We were on the 14th floor - our room was amazing. The view from the window was amazing. The A&G platinum party was on the 15th floor - presidential suite. I was able to see the whole thing - the whole thing was incredible - talk about a view. WOW, just WOW! All this positive feedback, so why the one star deduction? We ate at the on site restaurant.....the service was incredibly slow. The food was good but way over priced. And they brought me a dirty water glass in the beginning.....like, so dirty they should have noticed it before putting it on the table. Other than that - amazing experience. read more

Booked a "Romance Package" for our anniversary this year, and needless to say, it didn't live up to our expectations. The front desk failed to mention construction, on the ENTIRE river view side, until we went up & discovered it ourselves. They did offer another room, but without the views (our whole intentions of staying there.) Second, we were supposed to receive champagne & chocolate dipped strawberries, and they hadn't been delivered, even after going to a late dinner. So we called the front desk, and they said by 9pm. So we waited.... still nothing. Called a second time & got disconnected. They finally called us back and eventually room service came to deliver. Parking is a bit crazy. Had to pay for the few hours we were there, then came back to pay for overnight. Not super appealing. The rooms were fine, but a bit dated. The bed was just average as well. Overall, the reputation of Marriott was not upheld very well. Hate to have been so disappointed. Especially for $200+ per night :( read more

In typical Marriott fashion, the customer service was top notch. The valet, front desk and room service were all friendly and professional. We had a 2 night stay in a king bed overlooking the Cincinnati skyline. I never thought of Cincy as having a breath taking skyline, but as its all lit up on the river, it was gorgeous. We actually went to bed with the curtains open, so we could take it all in. The hotel itself was just a quick drive from Newport on the Levee and a quick walk across the bridge into Cincinnati. It will definitely be a place to stay for us when we return to catch a Reds game. The Concierge lounge wasn't the best lounge in a Marriott I've been to, but it's still very nice. They had a nice selection of snacks and desserts and the honor bar had a nice selection of beers and liquids (it was lacking in the wine department). The room service menu is basically the main menu of their in hotel restaurant, 10 West, minus a few items. Either way, I was pleasantly surprised with both meals we had in the hotel! So why the 4 fours and not 5? Well, the bed was by far the least comfortable bed I've ever had at a Marriott. My wife and I both have back issues from previous back injuries and we woke up stiff and in pain both days. The bed is the only knock on the room though, overall it was a solid king size room, for the price. The only other negative was the pool. This Marriott has a wonderful fitness center (that they share with the private condo building next door) and a very nice lap pool. However, maintenance came down and kicked us out in the middle of the afternoon because they wanted to change a burnt out light bulb on a wall sconce. It seems petty for me to get that upset about it, but I think they could have changed it before the pool opened or closed. I have read other reviews where people commented on the noise and I can honestly say I didn't notice any unusual noise. It's a hotel, you're going to hear your neighbor turn on their shower from time to time, but that was it. We had a pretty bad thunderstorm for most of the night last night and I couldn't hear a thing and I'm a fairly light sleeper. Give this Marriott a chance. It's just a hop, skip and a jump from downtown Cincinnati and it will save you quite a bit of money! read more

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding and I have to write this review to compliment the person at the front desk when we arrived. (Thursday, August 4th - around 9:00PM) This lady was awesome! I had requested a view room on a high floor and she was able to get them for us. My son & daughter in law had flown in from Australia and I wanted them to be able to see the beautiful skyline with a view from his room. A BIG thank you to the person at the front desk for her friendly, kindness! We all appreciated it & you helped make our stay at this Marriott excellent!! read more

I attended a wedding here and the bridal party had a suite which overlooked the river. The interior of the hotel was much more vast than you would imagine from the outside. The plaza area, complete with Romanesque columns, made for a great photo shoot with the wedding party. There were also other rooms we used for photographs, such as an all oak wood reading room, and a red velvet lounge chair in the hall. In between sets, the guests would venture down the the bar in the lobby. Our bartender, Michelle, was very attentive and friendly. The room itself was a standard clean, quality Marriott room: king bed accented with large portraits of Union Terminal and the Cincinnati skyline. This was a nice, personable touch. The room also had a balcony which overlooked the river and cityscape. This Marriott was just ok. I typically don't stay at Marriott hotels but the price was right and and just over the river from Cincy downtown. The layout of the hotel is bizarre. The entrance doesn't lead you to the lobby you need to take an elevator upgrade to lobby and the signage is poor for what floor the parking garage is on. The lobby and the setup of the hotel is cool. There are 15 floors and and they form a circle around the center atrium. It makes for a cool atmosphere. The room was the most disappointing part. They were lacking things that most hotels have-mainly a fridge? Even budget hotels have refrigerators! The beds were ok. Not extremely comfortable but not terrible either. The employees I encountered seemed to be nice. I would stay here again if the price was right but wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. read more
