    This is a no. The front desk area was lovely, and the loveliness ends there. This place is dingy. Would not recommend. They have a full bar and restaurant next to the lobby, which means there are no microwaves in your rooms, and breakfast cost you 10$. Breakfast looked absolutely abysmal, for 10$, there were very limited options. Room was fine. Beds are hard and flimsy. Tv is tiny in your room, and there is limited channel options. The gym... wow. Missing dumbbells, the air conditioner in the cardio room is broken, the equipment is old. The lightest dumbbell they had was 15 lbs. Do not stay here. Go to the holiday inn express that is 250 feet away.

    I've definately stayed in worse, so I have to give this hotel at least 2 stars, but no, I'll never plan on coming here to stay again. The front desk staff was far from friendly, the walls of the room are paper thin, they ran out of towels for my room, the soap dispenser in my room was empty, breakfast was awful, the air conditioner did not work (and yes, my stay was in the summer), the location is very poor (where's the river?!) and light shined in under the door all night. Ugh! Never again!

    Random black hair, and I'm not sure what that reddish brown splatter is above it.

    For a Holiday Inn Express, the cleanliness was not as great a most locations. Read the other Yelp reviews.. they are right. The person who checked us In was friendly. The main room and bed were both clean, and aside from the fact that the covers had looked like they been thrown on by a 2 year old, were fine. The bathroom, however, had not been cleaned well (if it had been cleaned at all). There was a bottle cap and possibly a dead bug under the sink area, a half eaten shark gummy candy stuck to the floor, and random black hairs. If I had it to do over, I could sleep in this room again, but probably wouldn't. It probably wasn't the worst in the city, but it definitely wasn't the best.

    We spent 3 nights in this hotel and we really liked the room. It was big and comfortable and had everything we needed. My only complaint is the pool. The only reason we chose this hotel was for the indoor pool and it was so cold I couldn't stay in the water. I talked to the front desk about it and she said it was a health department rule that the water couldn't be any warmer than it was, which felt slightly above freezing. Such a disappointment to the point where we won't stay here again.

We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

They were short staffed and i had to run down to the front desk for shampoo and hand soap but the staff was really kind. The room needed more attention we did find some a chip bag under a night stand and the windows needed cleaned. Other than small inconveniences that did not affect our stay, we had a plethora of towels, the ac was powerful and the shower water was nice and hot. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. We used the pool, which is small but warm. I received two drink tickets as well. The evening reception was a nice touch. My kids got free nonalcoholic drinks, some snacks, crackers cheese, veggie tray, sweets and chips and salsa. We were still full from lunch which was walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was actually phenomenal. A whole room of food and made to order omelets. Breakfast staff was also really attentive and kind. Parking is $12 if you don't need to leave otherwise it's $22. My kids really enjoyed the staycation as did I.

Overall this should be a top choice to consider as a home base for cheering on your team or staying for business.

It was actually two separate large rooms -- one was the bedroom with a king bed and the other a sitting room with a pullout couch and a 43" flat screen tv and WiFi. There was a separate area that included a microwave, small fridge, coffee machine, etc. Also, a doored closet for your coats. -- The suite, including bathroom, was modern and very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and basic toiletries were provided. -- Before arrival, we were concerned that the rooms might be noisy due the hotel's proximity to the bridge. This turned out to be unfounded as we could barely hear the bridge traffic. -- The hotel has a swimming room and on-site fitness room that we didn't use. -- The free breakfast had a huge variety of hot (eggs, sausages, oatmeal, pancakes) and cold (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits) options, as well as different options for coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. Offerings were replenished regularly. -- Location is good for driving access to the Cincinnati riverfront area. (For instance, the Underground Railroad Museum is only about 5 minutes by car across the bridge). -- There was free parking. We parked in the lot behind the hotel, from which there was key-controlled access to the hotel. A few additional things worth noting. -- The hotel is on the Ohio River, and its name includes the term "Riverfront." However, there wasn't easy walking access to the river, nor did we have a river view. -- Upon our first approach to the hotel, we found that it was adjacent to two liquor stores -- and what we thought was hotel parking was actually parking for one of the busy liquor stores.

The location was great right off the freeway to the right. Price was excellent around 180 with taxes and parking that day. Convenient to gas station and fast food, nice park across the street. Neighborhood could be sketchy at night. We're from Detroit area so NBD to us for frame of reference. Our room was very very clean, unlike some of the other reviews I've read about this location. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson. Immediately upon arrival, even though I paid ahead of time weeks ago, I had to pay an additional $200. Then the elevators were old and shook and made so much noise I thought they were going to get stuck constantly. Then, all the hallways smelled like smoke and weed. The room itself wasn't awful but the sheets were stained and the bathroom shower had no curtain or doors so water would get everywhere if you used it. The outlets were so loose it was hard to charge anything and the Internet was so unbelievably slow. We also ordered strawberries and champagne for Valentine's Day. We only got 4 strawberries and 2 of them were rotten. Avoid here at all costs.

So I paid out of pocket till things could get sorted out in the morning. The next day I was told they found my reservation and refunded me. When my co workers arrived. Same thing. They couldn't find their reservation and made them pay out of pocket. Then the next day they " found the reservations. But then the next morning the front desk came to my door at 10:45am telling me we have to check out saying they don't have us booked any longer. The rooms were dirty, the staff were ignorant and when I brought up the issues upon check out they called me ugly and were very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Over the past week, I have made multiple attempts to contact management to address several serious issues, yet I have received no call back or acknowledgment. Each time I reached out, the staff I spoke with were rude, dismissive, and even hung up on me, making this situation extremely difficult and frustrating. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room where the television did not work, and wet paint was still present throughout the area. In addition, someone in or near the room was smoking an excessive amount of marijuana, making the environment unbearable. Because of these conditions, we were forced to change rooms despite being exhausted from long travels and simply needing rest. Unfortunately, the second room was equally unacceptable. We woke up to find cigarette burns on the sheets and rodent glue on the countertops--conditions that are both unsanitary and unsafe. Had we known the facility was in this state, we would have never chosen to stay at this location. It has now been a week since these issues occurred, and despite leaving written notes and making repeated calls, management has not contacted me. I have also not received my deposit back, nor any update regarding the refund I am requesting for this night's stay. Based on the unacceptable conditions of the rooms, the lack of professionalism from staff, and the complete absence of management responsiveness, I am demanding a full refund for the night in question, as well as the immediate return of my deposit. I will also be attaching photos as proof of the conditions described above.

I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

The table in our room had dried up crusty stuff on it. We let the front desk know, but the two younger girls running reception shrugged and said they'd let their manager know. This was immediately after we checked in, around 4pm. No one ever contacted us, so it didn't seem like a manager was ever informed. Or maybe the manager simply didn't care. I went to use the hair dryer later that evening and discovered it didn't work. We again let the front desk know, but no one seemed concerned. They have an outside area in the back and it's nice to sit. We had dinner out there and enjoyed it. The pool water was very cloudy, you couldn't see your own hand underneath. I'm not sure if that's normal or not! The breakfast was okay but they were out of a lot of things. No yogurt, no apple juice, no real butter (only vegetable shortening), no bagels. We've stayed at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels and I've never stayed at one so dirty. If we're ever in this area again, I would definitely not return.
