Restaurant is overpriced for what the quality appears to be. Front desk service was awesome in the morning when I checked out...but nowhere to be found when I was checking in. Would I come back? I want to share a serious incident that happened to me at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza on April 21, 2026. I was on official business travel. I had reservations at Embassy Hilton, I was moved to this hotel without my consent due to overbooking. After checking in with valid ID, I was later accused of fraud because the hotel attached the WRONG Hilton rewards account to my reservation. Instead of verifying the issue professionally, security dressed in plain clothes pounded on my door, refused to leave when I asked, and later took photos of me on his personal phone. I was told multiple times that police were on the way and that I was part of a "serious investigation." Multiple people were involved, I asked numerous times what the issue was. The manger said the police would explain more when they get there. I told them I had chest pains and I needed to know what was going on and they did nothing but to continue to question me. I asked the manager if I could show him my travel orders and my work id and he goes upstairs with me to my room and his face turns so red, but he continues to tell me the police is coming. I even told him a coworker was on sight that could identify me and they said they didn't want to involve more people. After HOURS of stress and confusion, the hotel admitted it was THEIR mistake. This is not just bad customer service--this is a failure in safety, judgment, and accountability. Had the nerve to say they will use this as training. The hotel was so dirty. So I've stayed here was a month for about 14 months. I travel every week so over the years I've stayed in more hotels than I can count. This one is my favorite. I've stayed in most of the many different room types they have and my favorite is the one with the big bathtub. It's amazing! There is a full gym. Like people have memberships to the gym and they do group classes. The 1931 restaurants is really good. I love their French fries and Corey makes the best espresso martini you will ever have. The staff are all really nice and go out of their way to be helpful. But most importantly, it's the hotel itself that I fell in love with. This is an historic hotel built in the 30's and they have done a good job keeping as much as they can original. You can wander through the hotel and find pictures of what the area your standing in looked like almost a hundred years ago and read about the people that stayed there or what has changed and not changed. I love just wandering around this hotel and reading those and looking at the art. Hands down my favorite hotel. read more

This is a classic Hilton hotel property in downtown Cincinnati. We stayed here to attend a Detroit Lions game/ Bengals game. It's a great location within walking distance to Paycor Stadium. Built in the 1930's, this hotel is well maintained and in good shape. The standard queen bed guest room is fairly small but clean and comfortable. The small sweet desert shop was closed during our stay and we didn't have an opportunity to eat at the main dining / lounge adjacent to the main lobby. Parking is located in a parking garage next door and to the hotel for $35/day or you can utilize valet parking at a higher daily rate if you choose. ($50). There are a couple of decent restaurants within walking distance for both breakfast and dinner. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and professional. read more

Strongly discourage booking for any team related event. Tried to book a room block like we have done many times; and once they set it up you are obligated for 80% of the rooms even up to 60 days prior to event. 30 days prior to our scheduled stay our tournament got cancelled; so we tried to cancel the rooms and were charged a $3,000.00 cancellation fee. After trying to explain the situation and how a 5th grade baseball team does not have $3,000.00 to just burn; they still would not waive the fee and instead only gave us a room credit for 12 rooms to use; almost $100.00 more per room than originally quoted. We ended up having 10 families willing to travel to Cincinnati and stay to help cover the cost even though event was cancelled. To make matters worse; they only had 9 rooms available with our promised 2 double queen beds; so one of the families had to stay in a single bed room. Extremely disappointed on how the entire thing was handled and needless to say would never stay or recommend any team to stay at this hotel. read more

The once grand hotel is literally falling apart from top to bottom and from bottom to top- slowly but surely. The area is not safe. Hilton does not care about this building or how terrible the customer's experience is. If you want a positive experience and care about your safety- stay somewhere else. read more

There are several features which make this hotel great. First is the design and historic features. Next would be the friendly hotel staff. And finally would be the restaurant, bar and fitness center. The Palm Grille and Palm Bar are classics. The fitness center is actually Vine Fitness which is a membership only club, but allows guests from the Hilton to enjoy. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. I didn't take any housekeeping while I was there so can't comment on that. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was also good wifi. The rooms still had a lot of classic amenities such as the pedestal sinks in the bathroom. The elevators were fast and responsive. There are plenty of dining options in the area. Fortunately this time I didn't have a car otherwise you need to park at the parking deck nearby for an additional cost. read more

Have you ever heard anyone use the word "gross" to describe a Hilton? Well, now you have. The Cincinnati Netherland Plaza was disgusting. Traveling to Cincinnati from Atlanta, I actually drove around the parking lot of a motel, exited the parking lot and drove farther down the road because I figured that motel couldn't be the one I was looking for. Even that one was cleaner than this Hilton. I am not exaggerating. Given there is a lot of construction going on outside, there is a lack of signage to let passers by know they're walking past the Hilton. Luckily, there is a slovenly looking employee hunched over his phone who almost looks up to say "yeah" when you ask him if this is the Hilton. The young woman checking me in didn't seem to think friendliness was necessary, as it wasn't on the docket when I was checking in. I felt like I was bothering her, to tell the truth. Once past Hilton Cincinnati's B-team, I got to the room and saw things weren't going to get any better. I think Hilton bought this place a long time ago and kept the carpet from the original owner, because there was no way I was walking around without shoes on. Luckily I wore flip-flops on the drive, but I WAS IN A HILTON, and I didn't want to take my shoes off. Luckily it was only two nights, but unfortunately it was for two nights. Without even looking for it, I'm tipped off that the ceiling is caving in because there are whitish chips of paint on the carpet. Look up, and there are chunks of paint on the ceiling about to fall off. In all fairness, it DID get my attention off the carpet for a brief moment. There was a panel high up on the wall with... goop(?) creeping out from around the edges. If I'd have seen the wrong horror movie recently, I can't say I'd have been able to sleep in that room. Some movies have started off with that very scene. I'm guessing the bedding is the same as the carpet. Standard sheets and $5 pillows bought in the 70's still being used. Yup, they came with the place. I couldn't take an automatic photo out of the window because it was so dirty I couldn't force the camera to take a photo of anything else besides the crud on the window. I can't say for sure what was going on with the shower head. It can't rust, and it wasn't mold. Let's just say I wouldn't have licked it on a dare. It definitely hadn't been cleaned since the last time the woman who checked me in smiled at a guest. Then there was the mold. And I touched it. I TOUCHED IT! I got curious because the bathroom was painted by someone who was given three minutes to paint it without any prep work. Real Hilton quality. I was wondering if they got it on the blinds. But when I ran my finger across it, it smudged. It ooked me out so much. It was so gross. Then there was the piece de resistance for the bathroom. Before I opened the bathroom door, I noticed a long hair on the door. My hair, before I get it cut, might get to a couple of inches. This was five plus inches long. Gross. Despite Hilton's every attempt to make my Cincinnati stay as miserable as possible, I enjoyed myself. I did want to let management know that their room was more disgusting than a $75 room in a hippie motel that I'd stayed in the night before (to those hippie's credit it was actually very clean). Here's where it gets even better! The manager, I was told by the woman during checkout, doesn't get in until 9AM! On a Sunday! When half the hotel has vacated! The manager comes in! And the woman checking me out didn't want to hear a word I had to say. And honestly, I was so angry, I couldn't even tell you whether she smiled. Look at all the negative reviews Hilton has here, and look at their replies. Crickets. Hilton is about money. I'm sure they'd love all their hotels to be this simple to run. read more

The location of the hotel is perfect for downtown life. You can catch the 2X bus from CVG, and it lets you off RIGHT IN FRONT of the hotel. Walking distance to Paycor and Great America stadium. You're around may eateries and transit bus options. The hotel is from the 1930's. So it is very dated. If you're into vintage, you'll like it. But if you're into modern lodging, this isn't the place for you. Cost is a little more than I'd like to pay, but you can not beat the location. read more

They don't make them like this anymore. That's an awful thing because this hotel is an Art Deco masterpiece! I found myself just ogling the common areas. Absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. It is a step back in time that you're not going to experience almost anywhere else in town. That's a good thing because the hotel is also out of its time. For all its beauty, they've done very little to get good-functioning Wi Fi. The conference areas are less than optimal as the enormous weight is well-supported by sturdy, thick columns that limit visibility. The restaurant/bar is gorgeous. And expensive if you go on a weekend. Weekdays are more affordable and I wish I'd jumped on that menu pricing when I had the chance so I could have settled in and filled my tummy in that museum. The mall that attaches itself to the hotel is virtually empty and pretty depressing, but its just a few steps away from the lobby. If you are a fan of the Art Deco style, you NEED to stop in here whether you stay or not. read more

Amazingly beautiful hotel... art deco architecture from 1930s....worth the stay ... the elevator doors are raised, etched art deco designs and original elevators with a modern interior... recall electrical panels that tracks each floor and indicators that say this elevator up and down....theres a piano player on evenings in the dining room with raised ceiling with Al fresco paintings and fanned upholstered booths and central bar illuminated with glass etched lighting. Amazing. It's downtown so parking is somewhat challenging but traffic is fine it's not at all like LA or NY traffic. Park 2 doors down in parking garage (must know)... Hilton entrance on 2nd floor connected to small mall. Elevator will go up or down even though buttons don't look that way. Rooms are modern comforts of Hilton. The toilet is period/modern that has the foot or hand lever to flush. Location is great and central to everything including the 2 stadiums!! Met Gina hotel manger walking around and talking to guest. She was very welcoming and let me know about the printout with all the hotel history. Pick that up and walk the hotel. Servers were great at breakfast including waitress and nice waitor pouring water. Will definitely stay here again! read more

Beautiful historic hotel open in 1931. Marble. Wood. Beautiful carpets. Art deco. Mellow piano and singer at the huge '30s oval bar. We walked all over the floors. Loved it. Lots of stairs, but take the elevator. Valet parking was full and not accommodating, tho lots of spots were seen. So we park at the 3CDC garage, which was a short walk, safe and cheaper. Our bellman, Timothy, was wonderful. Told us about the hotel. Was very polite, like a southern gentleman. He met us at the front door, tho the sign said no parking. Others did the same, turning on the car blinkers. Recommend staying at this Hilton, and parking at 3CDC. read more

This is a historic hotel in an awesome downtown location. That being said, it's a hotel in need of a lot of TLC and probably some staff re-education. We spent three nights at this location. I loved being able to walk to Fountain Square, the Connector, a bunch of different restaurants. I did not love the areas of the hotel showing disrepair and the lack of a swimming pool (despite signs saying that there's a pool). My husband checked in. The reservation was in my name, so he had to get me on the phone (in the middle of a work meeting) to give permission for him to check it. Sigh. No one ever does that to me when the hotel reservation is in his name. We had a junior suite, which was actually more of a one-bedroom suite as it had a door between the bedroom and the living area and two full bathrooms. We were there with our kids, and the reservation was made for all of us. I was disappointed that they did not have sheets for the sofa bed already in the room, and much more disappointed that it took 4 phone calls to receive the sheets. (Also, for whatever reason, the front desk staff said that no one would be able to make up the bed for us, so I had to make it. Not a huge deal, but not exactly the behavior of a nice hotel staff.) Housekeeping was hit or miss. We kept the do not disturb sign on until noon on Saturday, and so we received no housekeeping services. We did not receive a note explaining why we were missed and/or how to get services on that day. We left the room on Sunday afternoon, and came back to a mostly clean room. There was no shower gel in one of the bathrooms, and it was never replaced, and the single bar of soap in that bathroom was removed and not replaced. The room felt pretty used and desperately in need of an update, especially the carpet. The bathrooms were actually reasonably recently updated, but they were tiny. The beds were not comfortable, and the pillows were awful. The air conditioning was icy cold but also loud. The worst of the hotel's disrepair was outside our room, though. The ceiling of the hallways seemed to be more spackle than original moulding. The elevators rattled alarmingly. The public spaces are impressive, although surfaces need a minimum of a deep clean if not a re-finish. I do love the Art Deco details, and I hope when they do update the areas they keep them. There is parking available. Self park is $33/day. The parking lot is very claustrophobic, and all of the elevator lobbies smell strongly of urine. Valet parking is more limited and was sold out for the second half of the weekend. This was not my first-choice hotel, but it was the only hotel in the area that had an available suite for the weekend, so I took it. If I return to Cincinnati, I will cross my fingers that a suite is available in a newer hotel. read more

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. A very old building done at the height of the Art Deco movement, this place is opulent and beautiful. Check in process was great and the room was comfy. Is this place a value? No. Here's why... The rooms need a lot of TLC. Paint scuffed off the trim. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper. The shower head is not adjustable and you have to stand in one particular spot to get wet. Found a long, black hair in the shower that didn't belong to me. The bathroom otherwise was ok. Nice subway tile flooring. Breakfast? Save your money and eat elsewhere. Breakfast buffet was $40 and didn't even have any options for cereals, fruits, or lighter fare. Paying $40 for French toast and sausage didn't make me very happy. Lots of other hotels offer free breakfast including things like pancakes, waffles, and lighter fare. Don't bother adding breakfast to your stay unless you like overpaying for the convenience. I know it's expected to pay through the nose at a place like a Hilton hotel, but I needed to mention this as other local hotels offer breakfast for free with slightly lower room costs. Overall, this place is a 3.5 out of 5. The experience was overall good. The hotel is beautiful and historical (Winston Churchill once stayed here!). I'd stay here again but would skip breakfast and walk down the street and save $$$ read more

We stayed there two nights. I paid for it with points, which is why it is even more disappointing, because I work so hard to get them and I want the experience to be a great one when using them. The room was just shabby. The upholstery around the bed was completely torn. There were stains on the sofas and chairs. The baseboards were chewed up and painted sloppily. It was just old and tired and felt dirty. The drinks at the bar were good but also cost $23. They added another three dollars just for ice for some of the drinks. I wanted to like the architecture but could not look past all the negatives. The only redeeming quality was the bar staff and front desk staff were genuinely nice. I sent something to the hotel manager and never heard back. Additionally, the parking is not run by the hotel so the valet is very unhelpful as it pertains to your luggage. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location. However, there are plenty of other hotels you can choose from. We literally had people outside our window jackhammering from 9am to 5pm. We were told that they clean the rooms daily and they don't. We called to get towels and even though they said they would send someone up right away, they never did. We tried calling the front desk, guest services, and housekeeping from our room and they didn't pick up. Our shower didn't even work! We had to play with the handle a few times to actually get it to work. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. read more

A historic hotel that is showing its age, this is designated as an official historic site. It was designed by the same designer as the Empire State Building and was built in the 1930s. Much of the original art deco decor is visible throughout. Check out the pavilion room if you have a chance. This is where Doris Day made her debut when it was the hotel's nightclub and was designed to look like an ocean liner inside. Check-in was simple through the Hilton app with a room upgrade afforded as a gold member. Unfortunately the digital key didn't work in the elevator which required a visit to the front desk anyway. The king studio suite was large, but the room features are dated. The furniture is worn and long overdue for an update. The bathroom fixtures are incredibly dated, and the hot water struggled at times. The bathroom itself is tiny. Towels were thin and worn. The TV and features were dated and the remote slow to respond. There is no on-screen directory nor any streaming apps available as many hotels are now offering. HBO was provided at no extra charge. The room was mostly quiet, but the climate control system is quite loud when it cycles on and off. There are ample charging ports bedside, but every lamp in the room is controlled separately which required making the rounds through the room to turn off each and every lamp at bedtime. Staff were generally ok, but communications and questions through the Hilton app often went unanswered. There was no explanation at check-in (either through the app or when I went to get a physical key to be able to use the elevator) about needing to sign up for daily housekeeping. You won't get any housekeeping otherwise apparently. Overall, the historic nature of this hotel is cool, but it needs to be updated to be competitive. Staff also need to work on better communication with guests. read more

I stayed at this hotel last week for about 3 nights as I was visiting Cincinnati. I ran into an issue in the first room I stayed in. The shower was not working properly as it was either 1000 degrees or no water at all. The shower room light was also not working. They were able to accommodate and provide a more functioning room. The new functioning room was better, only minor complaint was that the toilet I felt had a slower flush but it got the job done. It was bit of a hassle to get compensation for my issues, in the past, Hilton brands would typically have no issues providing additional points immediately for inconveniences, but for whatever reason they were picky about it. The room and hotel itself is very old, almost like living back in the 1990s or 2000s, with only outlets and TVs being updated. The location is at a good spot as it is only a 5-10 minute walk to Riverfront Park and to the Reds stadium. Overall, I thought this was just an average hotel. I would not mind going back there if I were in Cincinnati again given the location and the service they provided, but I am sure there are better ones. read more

I had no idea what to expect since my company booked our staff here for an event. I just knew it was a Hilton but I didn't know it was a historic hotel with plenty of Art Deco features. I arrived super early due to an early flight and was lucky enough to be able to check into a room without waiting several hours. The lobby and bar area are very fancy, and I peeked around some of the ballrooms/meeting rooms as well. I can't say what the other rooms were like but mine was a mini suite, with a separate desk/tv area apart from the bedroom. I think they might have even combined the space of two small rooms to make it. I didn't dine here but got some complimentary lobby coffee. The location is also within walking distance of Fountain Square, the baseball stadium, the football stadium, the river walk and more. read more

I recently visited this hotel for an overnight work event and much of the second day took place at the Hilton. I enjoyed my room and the various conference room spaces. Overall the decor is beautiful and unique. I wish I'd be able to explore more of it on my own, and for that I'd come back to stay for a personal trip. We did have a buffet breakfast here and it was delicious. The staff also took great care of us clearing off plates and providing drinks. Their team also provided drinks throughout our morning conference, which we'd paid for as a person person pricing. The hotel is older and has a lot of twists and turns, which can take time to learn when getting from area to area. If you're traveling with someone that struggles with steps and needs accommodations I'd recommend speaking to the hotel in advance. Finding the parking garage was tricky despite a warning from our planner and current construction never helps visibility. The hotel wasn't ready for us to have early check in and offered to let us check our luggage. That went smoothly; however, our luggage didn't seem to be kept secured from other guests or people passing through. No one was there to check my ticket or see me leave with it. I recommended you checking out this hotel for group accommodations and personal stays. I'm sure we'll be back! read more

As a longtime Hilton Diamond Member, I've come to expect top-notch service--but my recent stay was the exact opposite. My wife and I experienced a major water leak from the room above, damaging our belongings and causing serious inconvenience. Multiple calls to the front desk went unanswered, and when I went down in person, staff seemed distracted and slow to respond to what was clearly an urgent situation. While Hilton credited my account, they did not honor their promise and interactions with the assistant and front desk managers felt insincere and unprofessional. I've stayed at Hilton properties all over, and this was a shocking departure from the quality and service I'm used to. I hope Hilton takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the lack of urgency and the broken promises. read more

Beautiful entrance, but I didn't stay in the lobby. Really outdated and needs refurbishing. The elevators take forever and can't handle the volume of people staying. A dank smell hits you as you exit and walk through the hallways. Carpet looks 100years old (not in a good way). The room is real dated, plaster ceilings were cracked out and dust was everywhere in my closet (asbestos ?) We had a 2 queen room and both mattresses were sunken in the middle. read more

Hotel is stunning! The staff is one of the friendliest hotel staffs I have ever interacted with. They made the experience so enjoyable. Our room was ready early, it was clean and we truly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% book again! The hotel rooms are dated but being in a historic hotel it was very cool to see the unique features and to us part of the experience. We were having a girls weekend and had the 2 queen junior suite and it was a perfect space for us. Location is great, it was within walking distance to all our plans. My feedback is mattress, including sofa pull out needs replaced, the sofa bed you could feel the coils and the beds were very dented from other people staying it's time to replace. Then parking is not included in hotel stay and is crazy expensive no discount for staying at hotel, 2 nights was $66 dollars which is insane!! read more

My family and I stayed here on the first night of our road trip, and while overall our experience was pleasant, a few things made our experience less than enjoyable. The room itself was comfortable, but very old and outdated looking - which I know is a part of the experience, but it was beyond the historic, older-looking design. Certain parts of the room and hotel were fairly dirty - and, the price was more expensive than we would have paid otherwise, considering the condition of the room. Additionally, the price of drinks at the hotel bar were crazy - $30 for one old fashioned! I know the price of everything has gone up steadily, but that seems to be overkill, in my opinion. We stayed there during a busy weekend (which might have been part of the problem) but when we first got there, we were given a room that was occupied. All weekend long, the line to the elevator was at least 30 people deep (they have 6 elevators so you wouldn't think it should be a problem), and it was incredibly overpriced for what we got. We paid over $300 a night and the room was super outdated and did not feel nice. read more

A grand lady, but time for a refresh of the guest rooms; rude housekeeping. The NP is my favorite hotel in Cincinnati....but not because of the rooms. The lobby, restaurant, and all main public areas are stunningly beautiful. You won't find a better example of French Art Deco anywhere in the city. I can only imagine how it was when the place first opened. It's like a grand ocean liner from the 1930s. Where the NP falls short is in the accommodations department. Hallways leading to the rooms are dimly lit (The Shining comes to mind), the carpet is way past it's sell by date, and the woodwork has seen better days. The room itself was in pretty good condition. We were in room 1205. Yes, it's old, but it was clean, and the bed and bed linen were top notch. We both had a good night's sleep. Still, it was far from luxurious, and not really up to snuff when one thinks of a Hilton. The kicker, and the main reason for my average rating, is because housekeeping banged on our door at 8 a.m......ON A SATURDAY MORNING. Really? My wife was up, but I was still sleeping. This was three hours before check out time; what would possibly make them think this was acceptable? The way I see it, I paid to have the room until eleven; trying to rush us out the door first thing in the morning was presumptuous and rude. Management needs to teach them that they are there for the guests, and not the other way around. We ate dinner at The 1931, the hotel's main restaurant, and everything was lovely; no complaints. So, from now on we'll just visit the hotel for the bars and restaurant, and skip staying overnight. read more

Nice price as a Hilton Honors guest, close to Paycor and Great American Ballpark, and close to Fountain Square Plaza. It is a vintage Art Deco hotel which is a change of pace from the usual offerings in hotels. Beds were a little hard, and bathrooms were vintage (and kinda meh), and no validated parking. From check in to leaving, it was unpleasant. Luggage attendant never came to valet. Short staffed all weekend. refrigerator in one room broke, tv in another did not work. Called 4 times no answer at front dest or guest services. Went to lobby to request service,they never came up to fix TV. Painting bolted to wall completely lopsided, cracked bathroom sinks, terrible beds, hair and stains on pillow cases, peeling ceilings in most of the rooms. peeling and dirty baseboards, ripped curtains. All chandeliers were dusty in hallways. Windows were dirty throughout hotel. Mirror fell off door in one room, busted on floor. We were all happy to leave. Almost all staff were not friendly and did not want to be there it appeared. Elevator numbers indicated 16th floor, when we were on 9th floor. Honestly, the enitre block of rooms had issues. Not enough time to write it all up. Did not bother asking for the GM, as it is obvious the GM should be replaced, considering the condition of the rooms and the moral of the staff. read more

Exceptional Hilton Service and all the charm of a nice historic downtown hotel. The Cincinnati Hilton Netherlands hotel is my new favorite place to stay when in-town. Advertised as an Historic hotel with French Art Deco design it does not disappoint. A breathtaking older hotel but Oh-so nice. Valet had just reopened due to COVID and was such a nice option. Upon checkin, we were upgraded to a 2 bathroom, 2 room suite and enjoyed the stay so much. I slept so comfortably and plenty of hot water on the 25th floor. I had read in some other reviews that this was a concern but wasn't for us. The only critiques of this visit would be the walls seemed thin in one room and I noticed some slightly worn furniture on a couple of pieces. The room was not pristine due to the age but very clean and had an authentic charm and loved the French doors separating the two rooms. I can tell the hotel values all their guests and the guest experience from watching the interactions and hearing the conversations around me. The service was absolutely amazing at this hotel. In addition, I have never felt more valued as a Diamond member than at this Hilton. With the upgrade, breakfast credit, late check out and just thanking me for my Hilton Honors membership that organically included into conversations was amazing. I have stayed in a couple of downtown Hilton properties and this is by far my new favorite and my #1 choice moving forward. The service and charm of the hotel really allows it to standout. read more

Last stayed here a few years ago and was very disappointed by the condition of the hotel. She's definitely seen her better days, but worse than the need for an update was the lack of cleanliness of the hotel. While the carpfilthy. We stayed at the property on July 25th and 26th for the Cincinnati Music Festival, and it was a highly disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we were assigned a key via the app, but when we reached room 840, someone was already inside. Consequently, we had to move to room 938, which was farther away from the couple we came with, who were in room 838. We were given a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. When we entered our room, the first thing we noticed was that the door did not lock properly. We had to slam it quite hard and then press our bodies against it to ensure it was secured, which was both disturbing and somewhat painful. As we moved around the room, a strong, unpleasant odor of mildew lingered--like the musty, damp, dank smell of a dark, dirty basement. A simple visual inspection revealed several hazards in the room. The most concerning and dangerous was the bathtub. There was a crack in the bottom that caused it to sink under pressure, creating a visible opening. When we showered, water drained into the crack, raising concerns about what might be happening beneath the tub basin. It was quite unsettling to wonder if the tub might collapse while showering. Additionally, the faucet was loose and pulled away from the shower wall when turned on or off. After removing my shoes, I noticed the carpet felt moist, so I immediately put my shoes back on. For the remainder of our stay, I made sure to keep footwear on, as walking on wet carpet is uncomfortable and concerning, especially when the cause is unknown. On July 25th, I spoke with Tim Nelson, the Director of the Front Desk, who assured me that maintenance would address my concerns immediately. However, after attending the event and dinner that evening, we returned to the room to find that although some type of fragrance had been sprayed, the room remained in the same deplorable condition. We have stayed at this property every year during the music festival and have always enjoyed it due to its convenience, friendly staff, bar area, and atmosphere. However, if the management does not address the maintenance and cleanliness issues at this historic location, they risk losing valuable and loyal guest. We spoke with other guests who shared similar concerns and expressed that they might consider staying elsewhere. The rooms are severely damaged and require urgent repair. read more
