Such a fun family day in the summer! My kids and even my husband and I enjoyed this water park so much!! We will definitely be returning for years to come!

    Britne B.

It's been some years since I've been here, but we had a great visit. A run down of our visit: Parking - There was an officer blocking the entrance of the lot and telling people it was full. However, we drove by 3 times and saw 2-3 spaces available. After telling the officer about the spaces, he still made us park at one of the lots a few blocks up the road. I wouldn't have minded as much, but it was ridiculously hot. Tickets - Purchased on the spot with little to no line. No frills, no thrills - $15.25 pp for non-jurisdiction, free for children 2 and under. The Pool - PACKED! Everyone had the same idea as us- hot day...find a pool! There were a ton of people there, but I didn't feel overwhelmed. That may be because we didn't go near the wave pool. Mainly stayed in the lagoon, spray park and the baby pool. All 3 areas were pretty nice with water falls and 2 slides in the lagoon. My baby had a great time and he truly enjoyed all 3 of these areas. I wish the lifeguards corrected some of the little kids a little more though. This one kid ran past us at least 5 or 6 times in the pool...I mean RUNNING; splashing and tripping over us. He needed to be told to walk or have a seat. Other than that, we loved the pools and the next time we go, I'll be sure to bring some water toys for my son to use in the baby pool. I didn't think they were allowed. Food - Okay. Not super expensive, but not amazing. Typical "fun day out" junk. My snow cone left much to be desired...don't get it.

There was a diverse crowd (of families vs couples), five decent size slides, a awesome wave pool, and a playground for my youngest.

Free coffee during this time for parents. The only thing I didn't like is the arcade. Several of the games weren't working and I feel like it would be better if it was separate like in a separate room because it's easy for the young kids to get distracted by the arcade. Could have saved half the cost by just buying for 2 kids. You definitely don't need more than an hour either. It's really loud, so it's not great for autistic or sensory sensitive kids. My kids don't enjoy water directly in their face, and there's nowhere to go that doesn't have water landing directly in your face. There's nowhere for adults to sit, and it's a small room so there's residual splashing everywhere; wear pool shoes even if you don't go on the play structure and are just supervising the kids. During the 5-minute breaks once per hour, it would be nice if you could use the adjacent pool I but it was occupied with aquatic sports teams. Staff were very friendly, and the overall sports/rec facility looks huge and very clean. Locker rooms were very clean as well. For our family, however, it just wasn't worth the price paid nor was it the type of water park that would work for older kids or autistic kids.

We arrived a little after 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. When we left at 5pm there was no line at all. You can bring in food from restaurants or even receive deliveries from local establishments. There were several birthday parties and everyone seemed to be doing well. The lazy river is the most "pool" you'll get here. It's mainly a splash pad with a lazy river. The deepest water is 3' feet. It was $44 for two teenagers, one toddler and myself. They charge based on height. 43" inches or less and seniors receive a discount. All the staff are kids. It's about an hour drive from DC. I'm sure we will be back at some point because it's not as intimidating as a Six Flags or Kings Dominion. It's easy to watch the little ones here. This is not the spot for teens. They were extremely bored. We came in contact with several regulars. They gave us the scoop about everything. Like when to come, what to wear, where the nearest restrooms are (mens restroom was super nasty btw). Otherwise, it's a pretty laid back place.

We did a round of mini golf, which was nice. The course is mostly well maintained, though one of the holes near the end could use some work since it is a giant pit, with some cobblestone rocks acting as steps that lead down to the hole. It was a little difficult to maneuver, and I just ended up having to get one of my younger brothers to get my ball for me. Most of the holes were well down and the place had a nice grass and water feature aesthetic. Definitely something we wanted in the city. We then admired the obstacle course because it looked awesome. Climbing across surfboards dangling in the sky, bright colors. It looked awesome. We opted not to try it out this time though. We then went for a little walk on a trail. They aren't very well marked, the signs look like someone keeps knocking them down, and all of the trails sort of overlap and are visible from the others since it is literally just a little acre-ish area in the middle of the city. There was also an overflowing trash can that smelled awful, next to someone's abandoned lawn chair on the trail, but nothing a quick cleanup of the area can't fix. It is rather warm being down in a sort of gully, so I would love to see it again when all the trees are green, hopefully that would provide some nice shade. We then went to the playground and it was really nice and well-maintained, and I had to use the restroom which was IMMACULATE. This was by far the nicest playground bathroom I have ever been in, and nicer than most store and restaurant restrooms I have been in. There is also a waterpark that wasn't open yet for the season, and a large blue building that serves as the entrance to the water park, and I do wish that it had a large sign that said something to the effect of "Restrooms are in here, even when the waterpark isn't open" since we were trying to find a restroom for my 5 year old nephew after we had left the playground bathroom, and assumed that the swim building was closed, so we ran him across the parking lot to the obstacle course building assuming it would be in there, and were a little worried when we had to run him across the street when we learned it was in the blue swim building. Overall, this was a really lovely and completely unexpected outing in the middle of a crowded city. This will very likely be on our itinerary next time we have to kill time in DC.

The fastest is either 60-65mph or 70-75; I don't think there's an 80-85 like a lot of places have. They have bats and helmets you can use. The helmets have a wire grillwork covering your face, and while I usually find this very distracting, for some reason I don't think it's so bad here. Of course, you're welcome to bring and use your own helmet and bat. You can get 3 tokens for $5, and each token gets you 14 pitches. In addition to the batting cage, they have an obstacle course that's like 3 stories tall that looks awesome. I haven't done it but it looks cool. They said it takes like 2 hours and it costs adults $50. There's also a pool here. Overall, it's a good place to have some fun.
