I'm a little disappointed today with Great Wall so maybe that why my stars are so low. They are normally pretty good. However today the quality of food was a little off. Somethings changed on the menu, like the jumbo shrimp, they are not as good or as big as they use to be. However Wednesday you get two combos for $10.99. It's a good deal. For what it is, it was ok Chinese food! I ordered delivery and was quoted 45-60min, I received it within 50min and most everything was still warm! I got the Sweet & Sour chicken dinner, which also came with an egg roll. The egg roll was primarily cabbage but still ok, it was still definitely crunchy! I also got some crab Rangoon which was pretty disappointing. They came crunchy but room temperature, and it was literally all cream cheese. The menu advertises crab & scallions in the ingredients and I found none. No offense, if you say crab and scallion there should be at least a little in each bite. I love crab Rangoon, but if I wanted cheese wontons I would have gone to Panda Express. Now since I ordered delivery, I had to make my order at least $15. Its so annoying places do this when it's just a single person ordering. I've seen $10 and would have understood that, but $15 seems too much! Since I had to order something else, I went with the Chicken LoMein (or was it the ChowMein, I can never remember)! I gave it a taste and it was pretty normal, nothing out of the ordinary but it did have a nice amount of chicken in it! First time ordering delivery from here, and I'm very impressed! Super easy to order online. GrubHub had quoted an hour until delivery, and the delivery man showed up in 25 minutes. Very friendly delivery driver. Food was piping hot and well-packed (so no spills or crushed fortune cookies/crab rangoon). Our office ordered the General Tso's, chicken fried rice, roast pork fried rice, and Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. Both fried rices were hot, not too greasy, not too many vegetables and overall, pretty tasty. My only critique if I had to give one would be that it needed just a little more meat. The verdict from the General Tso's orderer/eater was that it was really good and super filling. Being that General Tso's is the baseline item to order to judge the quality of any new Chinese restaurant you try, she gave it a 8.5/10. The Egg Foo was a 7/10, mainly because of appearance. If you can picture a Chinese omelette chocked full of vegetables and then covered with brown gravy (comparable to Thanksgiving dinner), well, then you get the picture. I order here online for delivery almost once a week. Always as fast as possible. Food comes to me a little more that luke warm which is fine i'm not too picky. Great fried rice and egg rolls. Crab ragoons are good as well. The only thing I don't like is the onions in the mongolian beef, it's more than the meet and they're not cooked very much but I just kind of throw them away. The sauce for the fried chicken dishes are good, spicy but not over powering. Service is nice and friendly, only hassled about a tip once. I will keep going to this place for take out or delivery. I always think that businesses should not be criticized on just one attempt. If something didn't get ordered then there was probably an error in ordering. With that being said, the Madison Ave and Keystone locations are fairly close to me, no more than 20 minutes away. However many orders they do in a night, they have never delivered longer than an hour. The Keystone location tastes SO much better. They're even willing to help you order whatever you want as a combo so it is cheaper. This is the only place we order Chinese food from on the southside, and because of this I don't even order Chinese food on the west side by my work. It's just SO good. The sesame chicken and black bean sauce chicken is to die for!! If I had to complain though, sometimes they forget to bring extra duck sauce when requested. read more

The second time when I asked, the man became immediately defensive and combative and got back in his car and DROVE OFF WITH MY ORDER AFTER I ALREADY PAID FOR IT!!!! GREAT WALL: you need to be realistic about your delivery time. If you tell me it will take an hour, I expect delivery to take no longer than and hour and fifteen. Just ordered from here for the first time. They delivered to us through grub hub. We usually order from another Chinese restaurant through there. The teriyaki steak was great. The vegetables in our meals were very fresh and crisp. The hot and sour soup was loaded with big mushrooms, bamboo, and tofu. The soup was not all liquid like you sometimes get from other places. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. They did not skimp on ingredients, and the food did not have a "cheap" feel you sometimes get at other places. Thank you Great Wall. read more

I ordered egg foo young shrimp with lobster sauce, the egg foo young had huge pieces of onions in it and lettuce the shrimp with lobster sauce was very bland and watered down with lights a lot of egg whites the delivery man was rude and made me give him a tip in order to receive my food will never ever order from there again sadly disappointed read more
