Side Chic's blows them out of the water along with every other spot in Detroit/Dearborn (Savvy Sliders, Checkers, KFC, Chic Fil A, Chick N Kingz etc.) The breading on the tenders is very, very flavorful. They also put the perfect amount of breading on each tender. I absolutely hate overbreaded tenders where it feels like you're chewing through multiple layers till you hit chicken. Side Chic's avoids this completely by having a nice layer of breading that adds flavor and doesn't distract from the chicken. The chicken itself is hot, juicy and well textured. This is not rubbery, dry chicken. The only other way I can describe it is it just tastes fresh. I was thoroughly impressed. Side Chic's is a carry out spot that's open very, very late (which is awesome). Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Also, even though the chicken is fresh and made to order, your food comes out in a fairly quick manner. I really can't say enough good things about Side Chic's. I truly enjoyed my conversation with Ali who takes care of the front of the house. He provided great service, and I appreciated his hospitality. He treated me just like family.
