fried chicken was yellow. french fries were black and hard as a rock. general tso and sesame chicken were both slimy. Rice was crunchy. two out of the 4 members in our family felt nauseous sick 5 minutes into eating. ended up only eating peaches... edit to add!!* I left my daughter's cardigan there folded on the table by the napkin holder. Called the next day and they "don't have it" and "there's no lost and found".... so I know they clean their tables before seating new guests which means those jerks stole my daughters favorite sweater! I know we left it there because it was the last place we went. our cameras at home show my daughter not walking in with it on or in anyone's hands and its not in our truck. I haven't been in a while, maybe last year sometime. Thought I would give it another try. Not a great experience at all & definitely not worth $15! From the time we sat down, we had to listen to an employee sweep the floors with a broom and dustpan very loudly around all of us eating and that's all we heard the entire time. The broom hit the dust pan over and over or the table or the chairs. The food was 0/10. Everything was cold, no flavor to even the lo mein noodles or rice. All of the chicken tasted very strange, too much breading?? But then nothing was to par. There just wasn't any flavor to anything we ate and that sucked. Nothing was amazing. The bbq chicken skewers were good. The crispy chicken we actually got fresh so that was petty good. The honey chicken tasted like pure sugar, the fried dumplings were not good at all. The egg rolls had no flavor. The stuffed mushrooms tasted sour. We went there on a Sunday night and there were a few people in there but it wasn't packed or anything. We had eaten there before and the food while it wasn't amazing it was pretty good. Tonight was the last time we would go there because everything and I mean EVERYTHING was terrible. General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken were not even in sauce it was more like eating pieces of chicken that were swimming in soup. Teriyaki chicken and mushrooms were bland and had zero flavor to them along with the dumplings. The only thing that wasn't half bad was the Sushi but to spend close to $40 for two people? No. Just no. Oh and not to mention the fact that we didn't even get a refill for our drinks and the person who took our money was on the phone taking an order and said NOTHING to me when cashing out. Farewell Great Wall ... we will not be back . If you want a BETTER buffet go to Auburn for Paradise Buffet.. it's a bit more pricey but it is WORTH it. read more

This place has been going down hill for a while now, but I think it must be on its last legs. From the point we walked in, I knew we were in trouble, because it reeked of bad smelling seafood. The selection is an absolute joke: 3 or 4 cold, dry chicken dishes, a couple of nasty beef-like dishes, fried rice that was so bland I swear they simply gave it color by cooking it in brown water, crab Rangoon that tasted like they just wrapped a plug of grainy cream cheese up in an old wonton and quick fried it...the list could go on and on. I'm not big on Chinese buffets, but this one is truly a dog. Avoid it at all costs. read more

I went here for supper, and 3/4 of the buffet was empty, and what was leftover looked like it had been there since noon . it was 7:45 when I arrived, and it looked as if they were closing at 8, but the signage stated that the place was open until 9:30, when I tried talking about it to the staff a they acted as I was an imposition for being there, I would recommend to get sushi from somebody's ice chest that has been sitting in the trunk of a broken down car before going here if I could leave 0 stars I would. read more

Worst Asian buffet that I have ever been to. We went for dinner on a Thursday and the food seemed to us like it had been there since lunch. The different fried chicken dishes had hard chicken. The restaurant was near full capacity when a friend and I arrived. I live by myself and saw no reason to cook anything in the traditional Thanksgiving menu at home. I know there is only an hour and a half left till closing but do you really have to impolite when asking what I want to drink? I'm hungry and I'm here to eat, not to deal with the hostess's terrible attitude. I also truly hate going somewhere to eat and you see the employees just itching to leave when there's still a fair amount of time left. It really makes the ambiance of the place feel awkward. There was also no music playing so I was able to hear other people's conversation very clearly. The Host was barely in sight and when she did come around she was very displeasing. She asked short questions with an extreme monotone and gave us 0.3 seconds to reply. Unbelievable. Now on to the food. Lets just say all of it was extremely greasy. Barely had any veggie/vegan options. They obviously didn't care about making anymore food because of how bad they wanted to leave. They even turned off the steamers that keeps the food hot an hour early. I am giving this place one star simply and only because they had very easy parking. Never will I come here again. I have been eating here for many years! I also enjoyed their second store that they had up off of Dupont Road! I have always enjoyed consistently good food at both locations. They have a Mongolian grill type set up. They have a huge selection and it's usually hot and fresh. They're fried chicken wings we're always awesome. I haven't been there in a while and I'm thinking about going this evening. I have noticed many negative reviews and that bothers me a bit. I really don't know where to begin with this review. I came to this establishment with my two friends around 7:45 PM on 3/30/23 to grab a quick bite before our movie at the AMC nearby. In the beginning, the staff seemed like nice individuals and were tentative to customer needs. That's where the good ends. It cost each of us 16 dollars before a tip, and there was little to no food to choose from up on the buffet. The hibachi tasted alright, but half of the ingredients weren't available to choose from due to them not restocking. The food on the actual buffet was no different, and honestly looked like what was still there had been sitting there for an eternity. It made me wonder if I would fall ill after eating it to be completely honest. It didn't as I am writing this review in the morning, but nonetheless myself and my friends were very disappointed in the quality of food this place had to offer. After we were done, we proceeded to the register to pay, and had to wait for an attendent/hostess to ring us in for about 5 minutes. We were half tempted to just leave since no one would come help us pay, but we endured the time and someone finally came from the back and rung us in. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Not quite sure if this is due to an understaffing issue, or a lack of passion from the individuals in the back making the food. Unfortunately though due to this experience, my friends and I will most likely never make this a destination to eat at again. There are plenty of options considering we're in a city filled with restaurants that have better quality food and more tentative staffs. read more

This place has messed up my order twice. The first time I had to wait 45 minutes and gave me the wrong orders, and managed to leave one out. The second time, I had to wait twenty minutes (on top of the twenty minutes time my food would be ready), and managed to screw it up again. Both times the restaurant wasn't busy. The Great Wall Buffet is a good standard Chinese buffet to take the family to. I'd say there is a nice variety on the buffet, though it's mostly what you'd usually find at any Chinese buffet (not that that's necessarily a bad thing). It has a little stir-fry bar that can be kind of fun to order from too. When they first got sushi, it was excellent, but in recent years its gone downhill a bit most unfortunately. Despite the averageness of the food, we keep coming back because it's a dependable standard quality Chinese buffet. The location is also very good, right next door to the popular Jefferson Pointe outdoor shopping mall (You'd have to travel quite a bit further away or settle for Panda Express to get Chinese otherwise!) read more

I go to Great Wall twice a month. It's a decent value for the money. Not a dive, not high society. It's a Buffet. Expect buffet people there. I have always had a good experience expect for Thanksgiving when I went in and they were slammed. Not enough help, food ran low & they charged more money that time because of it being a holiday.
