Service here is top notch. They are very concerned over everyone's dining experience here and want to ensure you are pleased with your meal. Food was decent. Enjoyed the vegetable pakora a lot and the rice. Was hoping the butter chicken at medium would have had somewhat of a kick. They were very disappointed I didn't take my leftovers. Service here makes this a destination.

Our server was awesome, very attentive and had good recommendations. My group had the chicken tiki masala, butter chicken, lamb tiki masala and Saag Paneer. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Place was super cute, loved the decor and sitting area. Their mango lassi was also pretty good and a good size.

Definitely recommend! Indian food is normally very vegetarian friendly and Great India is no exception there. We ordered paneer samosas, garlic and cheesy garlic naan, paneer tikka masala, tadka fry, and bengan bhartha. All of them were delicious and I'd order them all again. The staff was attentive and kind. The only recommendation I have is that they should upgrade to a music service that doesn't have ads because every few minutes there would be really long commercials for kids shows that were super annoying and not what I want to listen to during dinner (or ever).

The server was friendly. I ordered chili paneer with spice level 10 and the coating was so chewy and paneer was hard. i returned the order and the guy came to me saying if I order hot, they can't do anything if ai can't handle it. I had to explain them that I had no issues with hotness but with the texture which was the worst I have ever tried. They didn't bill me for it but just a warning not to order chilli paneer. For main course I ordered Naan and Daal tadka which was good. For dessert I ordered kulfi which was okaish as best. Overall, it was very underwhelming!

Pretty good! We came here just the other day and ordered Butter Chicken, Paneer Pakora, and Garlic Naan of course. The naan was some of the best I've had! It was so buttery and had plenty of flavor! The Paneer Pakora was also pretty good! The sauces they serve on the side were delish! The Butter Chicken was alright but not my favorite. Was a little more tomato-y than I was hoping and tasted more like Tikka Masala. The rice was also a little interesting. It's pretty thick rice with a sweet taste. The serving of rice they give you is quite small but when I asked for a to-go box they refilled my rice! Service was good and they were pretty quick. Overall decent place to go!

When I tell you this is the BEST Indian cuisine I've had.. I'm not lying. The owners, the food, everything was amazing. The owners were so kind to me and my little family, it was so sweet. The food was delicious, with just the right amount of spice. Such beautiful, tasty food and a beautiful atmosphere. They are a small family owned business but they have the biggest hearts. I don't think the owners stopped smiling once! If I didn't live so far I'd be here everyday lol. Thank you for the great service and food!! :) Recommend 10/10! read more

The service was amazing and our little party of 4 were treated to the most delicious food I've tasted in awhile. Although I haven't had much Indian food I will say I will be coming back for more. The different smoothies were fabulous, I especially loved the pink one with rose water and the orange one with mango. As for the Covid situation they did a great job of keeping patrons separated to prevent any anxiety about being to close to others. Staff wore their masks and were completely gracious about helping us pronounce items on the menu. Planning a future date so my husband and I can enjoy it again. read more

Went there for lunch with a friend and it was superb. We started with the Great India Special Appetizer. The samosas were my favorite but the vegetable pakora were very good too. Have never had aloo tikki chaat before and the flavor wasn't my favorite but it was good and I loved trying something new. For my entrée I had the chicken tikka masala and it was phenomenal. I asked for medium spice and it was perfect. Nice and spicy but just a shade below eye watering. Butter Naan was perfect! Our server, Gurjinder, was very nice and polite. Highly recommend. read more

Walked in and was greeted right away and sat right away also. I ordered multiple things and asked for suggestions I tried the chicken samosa and man was that really good! Glad he suggested it. Once the food came in everything tasted amazing! Was excited to see that there was a new Indian restaurant near by. The host was super friendly and it made it that much better experience. This is a great new Indian restaurant! I got takeout lamb tikka masala and garlic naan. The flavor was incredible, and the portion sizes were good. Not much for decor, I was expecting fancier when reservations were required. However, the food was GREAT! It was my first time trying Indian food, (one of many new things I tried this visit to Utah.) We asked for some suggestions and were brought three delicious, subtle spiced dishes. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful to this Indian food novice. I would plan to return the next time I'm in the area. read more

Love Love Love this place. Quick weekend trip to SLC for a soccer tournament. Scouted out a few places and needed up here. Delicious. Wish we had a place like this in Portland. The Tikki Masal and Curry were spot on and the Naan was so good. I will come back here on every trip I make to Salt Lake City.... read more

I absolutely love this place!! My hubby and father in law come all the time. This is for sure our go to place for a dang good meal and amazing service. Really bad, my biriyani tasted like plain rice and there wasn't any chicken, there was also huge chunks of bell pepper which I've never had in a biriyani. It was more expensive than other places for smaller portion. Chicken korma was the same, no flavor, really oily. read more

Decided to try new eatery and placed a take out order. Prices and fees were reasonable. Little mix up on delivery but that got resolved. Then a pleasant surprise - the food was very excellent. Ordered three entree dishes. All three so good. Plain and sweet Naan were delicious. Wish I'd ordered more. Two of the entree dishes were pretty standard recipe. Third dish, lamb biryani, was prepared a little differently. Quite pleasing in both presentation and taste. Raita was standard and good. A little runny. Sweet rice dish was small amount and not to my taste. Needed a mango. All in all a very pleasant meal and I will be ordering again. read more

I was a little skeptical of a 5 star rating, but Great India delivered. The staff was very friendly and engaging. The Chicken Tikka Masala had amazing depth of flavors with just the right amount of spice. It serving size was larger than it originally looked in the copper serving dish. was not able to finish it. The only down size is that the ambiance of the eating area is a little sterile. They could use some more subtle lighting and divide the room up for more privacy. The food is delicious. The paneer purji is the only dish I have been able to find in the area with shredded paneer and the texture is amazing. The curries all have a robust flavor. The prices are also very reasonable. It's the best value for Indian food that I have found in the SLC area. read more

They had an Indian version of onion rings which were downright cold. And because they were cold the batter on the onions tasted stale and old. They also had 2 other appetizers that were fried and they also were cold, but I don't know what they were. The curries were lukewarm and the rice was warm, but everything turned cold immediately once put on a cold plate. We let the staff know that the food was cold and therefore unappetizing and they were very concerned, which we appreciated. They offered to not charge us for the buffet and to make us something from the menu, but we didn't think that was fair. They then offered to let us get more food from the buffet and to put it in the microwave. By this time it had been a good 30 minutes plus since we had originally got our food and they had immediately turned up the heat on the items as soon as we let them know of the issue. More people came in and when we wandered up to get more food all of the food items were much hotter by then. We enjoyed our second plates much more than the first because the food was hotter. They had a saag vegetable curry that was absolutely amazing! I usually go for the curry with paneer (it was paneer tikka masala this time) but the saag veggie curry was so good I had 2nds of that. They also had an egg biryanis, which I don't eat eggs, but I had some of the rice in the biryanis and I've never had rice like that! It was spicy hot (but not too hot) and had a ton of cinnamon flavor. It was very tasty. I can't say how the eggs would have tasted with all that cinnamon, but the rice was really good! All in all, I would give them a 2nd try because they really wanted to resolve our issue. The waitresses were really nice and concerned that we enjoyed our time there and our food. In the end, we did get hotter food and that was good, but I totally give them knocks on the rating for not having hot food when we got there.

My new favorite restaurant! I don't live around here but I was in the area and I saw it had 5 stars on google so I thought I'd give it a try and I must say, the 5 stars is WELL deserved. I can see myself routinely making the 15 minute drive just to eat here, the food is THAT good. Tikka masala is one of my favorite foods so naturally that's what I ordered and I was blown away. Best tikka masala I've ever had, absolutely masterful, and the naan is to die for. If that wasn't enough, the service is impeccable. From the get-go I was greeted to a warm and friendly environment and the owners and employees were pleasantly gracious. Great India is TRULY great and I highly, highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian food. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Simply amazing. read more

Great India is by far and wide one of the very best Indian cuisine in Utah, if not North America. My mother, father, and I enjoyed the Paneer Samosa, Chicken Soup, Butter Chicken, Ginger Chicken, Lamb Biryani, Garlic Naan, Naan, and the entire meal was out of this Universe delicious. What made the entire experience exponentially special was the owner's gracious hospitality, who allowed us to sit down and order despite us entering Great India just 20 minutes before close on a Friday. The chefs prepared the food quickly and it came out hot. The chicken and lamb were tender and the vegetables fresh - just so much flavor! The ambience is bright, clean, and fun. Indian food is my favorite and I love Great India's food, love, love, love it! Simply amazing. Fresh, tasty and bursting with flavor. From the time I walk in to the time I walk out it quite literally changes the state of mind that I'm in. Its that orgasimic feeling when you eat somthing and your entire body responds, no joke, not kidding! Butter chicken is my current fav with fresh tasty garlic naan bread and don't forget the rata sauce soooo good!!! Amazing friendly service. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Great India and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and service. The restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of dishes. My hubby and I absolutely LOVE this place! For sure our go too! We typically go 2x a month. The customer service is amazing, the people are all amazing in general and the food is so yummy. Its fairly priced. Our favorite part is of course the food but the people. We have a repore with pretty much everyone there and they always take care of us. Love the fact it's true Indian food and that we are supporting a small local business! Thank you guys so much! You are amazing! The mango lasse is the best. The food and service at the restaurant was above and beyond expectations. The restaurant owners are very gracious and wonderful hosts. They have a lot of variety including gluten free options!! Fish tikka masala, and garlic naan are delicious and better than any restaurant in Salt Lake City!! I am glad we found this gem of a restaurant. Very reasonably priced and based at a convenient location right across from Top Golf. A must visit for anyone who loves Indian food. Here's a breakdown of what I ordered: Chicken Biryani: The flavor and texture reminded me more of chicken pulao than traditional biryani. Pepper Chicken: This dish tasted similar to chicken chili. It's not the kind of place that'll catch your eyes from the outside but don't judge a book by it's cover. Their food and their atmosphere are incredible. The owners are warm and hospitable. I've only tried a handful of dishes from their menu and the spices and flavors are exactly what you're looking for if you're craving some Indian food. Glad we found them! My wife and I recently moved to the Midvale area. We are now frequent customers of Great India. Tonight we ordered their Great India Special Appetizer, the Garlic Cheese Naan, and an order of Chicken Vindaloo (spicy). The flavor is incredible and the food so fresh. We talked with the owners (yep - locally owned, a big plus) and learned that they prepare the Naan when it's ordered, not heated up from earlier in the day. Its obvious! Hands down the best Indian food I have had in awhile my family and I come here 1 a week if not 2 a week. I really could not ask for better service. They treat my son like family. We love Indian food. We live down the street, saw this place the other day. We were craving some good Indian food. We decided to try this place. This is the cutest little Indian Restaurant, little family owned and operated! They some of the best Indian food around! Great location right off the freeway, and great portion sizes! Very friendly, attentive staff and some of the best curries I've ever tried. The flavors were all so good, and the bottomless rice guaranteed that I left stuffed. I'm a big water drinker at restaurants and I think the waiter filled my glass 6+ times without wait. It might not have the upscale atmosphere of a luxury restaurant, but it was clean and pleasant. The gentleman that runs this establishment used to run India Palace off of 10600 a few blocks east of 1300 W. This place is excellent. Sukhpal is so kind and accommodating and can make your dish just about any way you wish! Punjabi lamb and Manchurian chicken are solid dishes that won't disappoint!
