Have been coming here for years. Always wait for Kenny who is excellent. The last few times we have gone, Kenny has not been in so we have seen others. The first cut my daughter's layers so unevenly, it looked like she had been attacked with shears. We had to go someplace else to have it fixed. This last visit, my son asked for short (2) on the sides and little longer (4 or 5) on top. She gave him a total buzz cut. Ridiculous. Then when I complained she started to argue with me. We've been coming here whole family for 7 years and I never had a bad experience. Everybody is very nice here and every time they treat you like you are the most important customer ever. Today my son needed a hair cut and Jessica welcomed us with a smile. She's so cool with a great hair style ideas. Kenny cut his hair today which wasn't the first time he cut my sons hair. He's very professional, polite such an amazing person with a great attitude not only that his conversations with my son is so kind and sweet. I believe the girl who cut my hair's name was Christine. She was amazing! Not only was her conversation great but she cut my hair better than I expected. I typically go down the street and pay $60-$200 for my hair service but they were closed for the night so I took a chance. I was asked to pre pay since the cashier wanted to close up early at Great Clips and I completely regretted it because I would have totally gave Christine a better tip than just $5. Honestly would definitely go back if she's there to cut hair. I mean she literally worked on my hair for a whole hour for only $25 for my whole cut and tip. I would definitely go back again for her and make sure I tip way more! read more

Never going back again they messed my little boy's hair, I can see bold spots , one side is higher than the other one, on the top the hair is uneven I can't even style his hair because is too short, and the back is horrible. I could understand if my kid was moving and screaming, but he wasn't. Even she was surprised that he was still and quiet. Now I have to go another place and pay again to fix my son's hair. I have been taking my 3 year old son here for the past year. Our favorite is Kenny. Unfortunately, we won't be back after our last visit yesterday. It was very busy & stylists seemed to be in a rush. We checked in online prior to arriving & only had to wait for 10 minutes. A stylist by the name of Deborah called for my son. I showed her the picture of how I wanted his hair & she started on him. He likes for me or my husband to hold his hand while he gets his haircut so I stayed close to him the entire time. When it came time to cut the top, she wet his hair & combed the front down onto his forehead. She then took her scissors & ran it across his forehead, applying quite a bit of pressure to the skin on his forehead. It bothered me, but I figured she is a professional & didn't question it. A few minutes later when she turned the seat so he faced me, I saw some red spots on his forehead. I thought it might have been lint, but when looking closer it was actually blood spots & a perfect line of redness that ran across his forehead. I immediately said "Is that blood? He's bleeding." And she replied "Oh, did I do that?" Very nonchalant & as if it wasn't a big deal. I asked for antiseptic & she seemed thrown off by my request. She went to get some for me & gave me the strip of tissue they use to wrap around their neck to wipe the blood away. She uttered an unsympathetic "Sorry about that" & continued to cut his hair like nothing happened. I was in shock & didn't know how to react. She must have felt bad by the end of the haircut because she asked if he could have a lollipop & again said her apologies but by then I was very bothered & just wanted to get out of there. My husband was very upset when he saw it & called the shop to speak to Kenny, who offered to send us a free haircut. Not sure I will be using the free haircut, I am absolutely appalled at this stylist. read more

Made an appointment earlier today as soon as I got there the lady at the front checked me in but was immediately told that my son was not allowed inside the store due to customer limits I asked if we could wait a while to other customers exit out the store but was told since my son did not have an appointment he was not allowed inside I let them know I drove a long distance to get a haircut then the manager Kenny came outside and relayed the same information and was quite rude to me totally Brushed me off and not giving me any alternatives told me to call the store owner and that he cannot help me, Walked back inside while I was talking to him saying that he was too busy I let him know that there was another lady inside with her son so how is it any different for me I feel discriminated against and I will not be coming back. read more

I will only go in if they are working...if not, i can wait. the other staff members have zero personality and pretty much talk amongts themselves, even when you are in their chair..totally shitty. Hein is nice, quick and gets the job done...even though she always points out my bald spot :/ emmie is a sweetie! I am African American, with really short hair and besides Hein, she has been the only other person to cut my hair the way I want it...the other staff members, who are caucasion, act as though they are afraid to touch african american hair...damn shame. read more

If I could give more stars I would. We have a son who has developmental delay along with multiple other things. He also head bangs a lot and screams. EVERYTIME we go to great clips they are so good and patient with with. Although it could possibly be nerve wracking to cut a child's hair like that, they never show it. Unfortunately i cannot give a negative star rating. My fiancee and I are getting married today and her hair stylist ended up in the hospital at the last minute. My fiancee tried going to Great clips to get a quick up do. When she arrived there were 4 girls working and no customers. She was turned away and told for that type of style she needed an appointment. REALLY?!? when my fiancee explained her situation, there was no remorse, just. That is our policy, please make an appointment and come back, if we take you, that will take a hair stylist off the floor for too long if we get busy. Now my fiancee is doing her own hair. When i told the woman there that on her wedding day, I hope she receives the same quality service that she had given us, she acted offended. Love this place. I always go here for my haircuts before military drill weekends. However I wish the asian lady would work mornings though. She cuts my hair perfectly every time and takes no less then 10 minutes to do it. The price is a little steep but I have military discount and after adding the tip I pretty much pay full price when I walk out the door. Great place to get your hair cut though and use the online check -in. Saves you the unnecessary wait when there's a lot of joe's waiting for haircuts. read more

My review is for Karysta, she is so awesome! I have a rather difficult hair style, an a-symmetrical a-line. I've never been so happy with the attention to detail from a stylist. She asked me how I thought it looked several times throughout the cut, and always asked before she did any drastic chopping. My hair came out absolutely PERFECT. If you're a guy, DON'T go here! They aren't trained to cut men's hair! They use scissors for a fade and leave you with a bowl on your head! The photos shown prove that! Terrible fades and I highly suggest ALL MEN go to HAIRCUTZ on Tracy Blvd! Right next to CVS AND Straw Hat Pizza! The Asian ladies rock at doing fades!!!! Ask for "Mai". She specializes in men's hair! Then finally when my daughter got her hair cut the other lady raced to get to the next customer. 2 thumbs down! Absolutely awful that the hair stylists they employ are not capable of cutting women and men haircuts. I waited 45 minutes and ended up leaving because one of the stylists skipped me since she didn't know how to cut hair for women. Every stylist employed should have the ability to cut hair for both women and men. I was called after waiting 25 and when it was finally my turn, the lady told me to wait for the next stylist because she can't cut hair for women. Highly irritated.... I've been here two times already. My brother also gets his hair cut all the time here. I got my hair cut into a short blunt bob and it came out how I wanted. Today I went to get bangs for the first time, and the lady was sooo nice!! I showed her pictures of the baby bangs I wanted, and did them perfectly. For $5 it was totally worth it. read more

i usually have my hair done at a specific place for cut and color I've been with my stylist for about two years now. Lately she hasn't been cutting my hair all the greatest so i decided to try out great clips. immediatly i was greeted when i walked in, and that made me feel so comfortable. my stylist listened to what kind of haircut i was looking for and even made a few suggestions on things that might look better or would be easier for me to maintain. the conversation was good(i hate sitting there in awkward silence) and she even took her time on me. it didn't feel like a rushed haircut at all. i was so happy with the results, and the price was extremely unbelievable $13 !! i live in manteca but work in tracy, i spotted this great clips on my way home from work. the location is kind of tucked away. its located near the rite-aid on grantline. read more

I was the first customer on Friday morning for the stylist that has 20+ years experience but I was so very disappointed with her lack of customer service and skill. She was so busy talking to her assistant that she never bothered asking me about my hair and now my bangs are uneven and the rest is just a mess. I will definitely stick with Visual Image in Fremont. She didn't even bother to dry or style my hair and so she sent me out in the rain with wet hair!!! Very very disappointed!!! read more
