Came in and was greeted by who i assume is the manager or the owner (idk but she is of East Asian descent), and right off the bat i had a very hard time understanding her accent-- which is whatever. However, she moves through my hair and immediately tells me about how uneven it is (done by another stylist at this location barely a week prior)-- fine, whatever. But the whole time, she keeps missing pieces, is cutting other sections ridiculously short, all the while is telling me about how uneven my hair is, like girl wtf you're the one doing it all uneven!! Then, after barely five minutes, tries telling me she is done but like girl, no you are *not*. She became very annoyed with me when i told her she barely did anything, and the stuff she did was absolutely horrendous. This offended her even though i was more than patient and polite with her. She was rougher with me, left a bunch of stuff uncut, then tells me she is done again.. and guess what, it looked even worse. I told her "umm... this is not even what i told you to do", then idk she already had a very thick accent and was extremely difficult to understand at times, but i could tell she was annoyed with me. After pointing out the places she missed, she takes the small hand mirror and actually shoves it at me, telling me what i assume was "look for yourself!!!". Then, completely irritated and appalled, i said "wow okay then". She finalizes the transaction, saying absolutely nothing until she points at the tip jar and then at the receipt and says "there! You tip now!", to which I responded, "absolutely not" with the biggest saccharine smile ever. for crying out loud, imagine having the absolute audacity to assume i'd tip you especially after shoving the mirror at me. Folks, if you care about your hair, go elsewhere unless you feel like being shamed because of the horrendous work another stylist of yours did, and to then assume i'd actually tip you. I cannot stress enough to avoid getting any haircut done by this person, she is terrible! read more

Very pleased for this location and the work they do. The day before my children had their school photos, I realized that their hair was...not ready to go. I dropped in and asked about appointment times. As it was (and, honestly, not very surprising), there were not appointment times available any time soon. I prepared to leave, because this was absolutely my fault, when one of the stylists came out from the back and called out that she would take care of it. She then immediately launched into two great haircuts for my twin boys, both of different styles, and used some hair product to get the exact look they were going for. She let me know the difference between the different hair products and what look could be achieved with different mediums, such as mousse versus pomade or gel. The end result was absolutely perfect and didn't take very long. Come to find out, she was going off shift and agreed to two last minute appointments just to get the job done. I love that! The only reason this isn't five stars is that, while I can tip the stylist for the work they do commiserate to the end result, the base prices for a simple haircut are a little spendy. I doubt all of that goes to the stylist, so I'd rather pay for the stylist than the establishment. However, I can't argue with the end result. read more

The woman who did my haircut was also transphobic beyond belief. This has been the worst haircut of my life and it is amazing that this location is even open. Just go to the Keizer Station Great Clips instead, they will consistently do a better job than the Devonshire location. read more

John cut my husband's hair and holy wow he looks fabulous!! He even cleaned up his beard and it looks amazing also. He is an excellent stylist. Dawn cut my hair and holy cow. My husband loves it. I love it. I feel super sexy and it looks and feels amazing. I am almost 39 and she is by far the best person I have ever had cut my hair. We will only use the two from now on. They are so great and personable and just plain awesome. They make you feel great like a whole different person. Everything was pretty great! I was seen right away even as a walk-in, people coming in after me didn't have to wait very long either. They allowed me to keep my hair as I wanted to try and donate it since I was getting so much chopped off. It was cut a bit shorter than I asked for. One thing I specifically said was I needed to be able to tie it back into a ponytail but when I try to pull it back lots of the bottom layers fall out. Eh, it will grow back eventually! Just sort of frustrating right now. Also, I guess having it blow dried after shampoo and cut costs extra? I didn't bother asking her about blow drying it as I didn't have a lot of money to spare that day but I was a little sad that I sprung for the shampoo at their suggestion (I just wanted a dry cut) and then had to go out in the snow with wet hair! I go here all of the time and take my 17-year-old daughter as well. I see Kaye every time I go. She does exactly what I ask for and doesn't do a "hack job". She is also talented at using her imagination and skills to bring ideas and get something new, or even just implement a bit of a change. I got a haircut from Rachelle and it was not a good experience whatsoever. The cut was fine, but the stylist I worked with had two children running around the store the and actually had the nerve to throw shade at me the entire time I was in her chair. She made a bunch of backhanded comments about my hair care routine and age that were frankly condescending and unhelpful. I know that there might be several reasons why the kids accompanied her to work and I sympathize with a working mom, but this was an unacceptable level of service and it was clear that other employees in the store were frustrated with the situation as well. I showed a picture to Sheila of how i wanted it to look and she said that she can do it. It turned out to be the worst hack-job I've ever had. No where near what i wanted. If she (Sheila) didn't know how to do it in the first place then she should have said so. I wish i never went there in the first place because now i have to grow my hair back out before i can style it the way i want again! Went on a Saturday afternoon. Had a 25-30 minute wait. My fiancé was getting his usual pompadour hairstyle and this time we wanted to keep it long on the top. I was watching and I forgot to ask her name but she is of Asian or Chinese race. I am not saying that has anything to do with it, but we asked her to keep it long on top and trim the sides down then make it blend well. She told us she understood and went away with the haircut. She did as she said, trimmed the sides and squared the back. All she had to do was blend the sides and she should have been done. Mind you she said she understood. After she blended the sides she started hacking away at the top making it very short. After she took off 3 inches of hair she then asked would you like it shorter? I'm watching this the whole time going okay she said she understood, she must be done soon. No, I was so wrong. Needless to say she did absolutely horrible, did the one thing we asked her not to do and I still had to pay $15 for what was not wanted. If we ever come back we will not be getting the hair cut done by her. read more
