Let me preface this by saying that I'm sure not all the stylists there are bad, just the one I had. Went in for a routine haircut today, and about halfway through my haircut, the stylist (whose name I did not catch but she had blond hair with blue streaks on the back and wrist tattoos) got a personal phone call on her cell phone (yes it was personal because I could hear what they were talking about). She decided to answer it IN THE MIDDLE OF CUTTING MY HAIR!! It lasted about 10 minutes and she just left me there to wait like I had all the time in the world for her. Just shows how much professionalism she adheres to while on the job. Awful performance. I will never go here again. I want my money back read more

My husband just had a cut at Great Clips id Roseville, 31965 Gratiot, Roseville, mi. Came home so mad (he is a easy cut, not picky). Tanya cut him, she was horrible, back doesn't even look cut. Didn't understand the senior discount, he was so upset he left without a receipt, left her money because he didn't want to wait, but should not be called a tip. I went here a few days ago for a haircut, and when I told the stylist what I wanted she said "no" and that "it wouldn't look good", and just did whatever she thought would "look good", I gave her the benefit of the doubt and just went with it but she completely ruined my hair. I left the salon with extremely choppy hair on one side in the front and the entire back. When I got home my friend who has 0 hair cutting experience cut my hair and did so much better than a so-called "professional". There was hardly any hair on the floor when I stood up. I paid and tipped because I am polite, but went home and emailed Great Clips corporate. They assured me someone would call me. I went to this place because I had some free time and I wanted to get my hair cut. I just wanted a trim and not fully cut and my mom was coming with me to get it cut. As soon as I walked in there There were two ladies that just did not any to be there. While the other two ladies were working with there patient the one lady very smirkingly walked up to the desk where I was waiting for about 10 minutes. First of all my complaints is why does it take 25 dollars just for a blow dry my hair. Another thing is your not supposed to cut your hair when it's dry your supposed to wet it. In the end my moms hair was terrible and mine was very uneven. I would not recommend his place because just for a trim, a shampoo, another trim and a blow dry it would cost 58 dollars read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I was here a few years ago and didn't have a great experience, but I figured after a few years they'd get their act together. Not so much. I went in for just a simple trim and to get my bangs cut. First, I'm ignored at the register and have to stand there for a while until someone else comes in and I'm told to move out of the way. So I tell them I'm here to get a cut and finally get signed in. Once I get in the chair for my cut, I tell the stylist that I just want a trim and I want my bangs cut straight across, but not blunt. So she cuts my bangs, but doesn't blend it with the rest of my hair and she thinks that's fine until I ask her to blend it with my hair so it's not shaped like an L. So she does that and then asks "So just straight across the back?" And I'm like... no... just an inch trim all round. And what does she do? She cuts straight across the back and the rest of my hair very bluntly. So I ask her to fix that and by then she's getting an attitude with me. At that point, I notice that my bangs are crooked, so I ask her to please fix that. She does and they're very blunt. I point out that I said I don't want a blunt cut. She proceeds to get very huffy with me and then blames it on the wave of my hair... but if you're a professional you should be able to work around that I think. Also, my boyfriend went in at the same time and from the moment he signed in the stylist (different from mine) gave him an attitude and would not listen to what he wanted for a cut. So he left with something MUCH shorter than what he wanted and not even close to what he showed the stylist. tl;dr VERY rude staff that won't listen to what you want and will get an attitude when you tell them they didn't do your cut right. read more

I went here for a simple men's haircut. Turned out that the lady that was doing it was hammered drunk. She smelled horribly of alcohol and was all red faced and slurring. When I came in I had hair down to my butt. I could reach behind and comfortably grab the ends of my hair. I asked for a trim, just the dead ends...I now have shoulder length hair and I'm pissed. I spent the better part of two years growing for locks of love and still wanted to grow some more before my donation. The lady didn't know why I wanted just a trim (I didn't know I would have to justify why my hair was the be the length I asked to...and paid for...it to be cut..) and was floored when I saw the results. After the first snip, I knew I was in trouble but let's be honest..after the first snip, there's no going back or saving anything. The lady then talked down to me, saying she cut off all the dead ends due to my not having a hair cut as soon as she thought, which is once a month. The new owner was also an experience, talking horribly about former employees and how she now runs HER shop. She also took conversation between my mother and I and interjected her thoughts and opinions in a way that was more than rude...then proceeded to talk disgustingly about a former employee that just had a baby...which was my best friend from highschool....on top of it all, they hacked my mother's hair to the point where she's dissatisfied to tears about it. You couldn't pay me to go back and I'm not sure how the new owner deals with criticism, but hopefully she swallows this like she should all her uneducated and shallow comments, roughly with a shot of humility and tact. read more
