The lady who cut my hair was amazing and she has a very beautiful personality I'll love going back there when we I go to Michigan to visit my family read more

Deeply Disappointed and Concerned -- Chemical Burn and No Accountability On 5/12/25, I received a highlight and lowlight service at Hair 2 Dare Salon--an experience that turned out to be not only deeply disappointing but genuinely painful and concerning. As a licensed cosmetologist with over five years of experience getting my own hair highlighted and colored, I've never had an issue--until now. My stylist was 10 minutes late, which delayed an already long process that ended up taking over 4 hours. I had foils in my hair for more than 2 hours--far too long for lightener to safely process. This is basic chemical safety that all professionals should know. At the shampoo bowl, a wet towel was pressed against my neck. I now believe it had bleach or lightener on it, as I left the salon with a chemical burn on my neck. Since then, the lower portion of my scalp has been peeling and is still painful. The salon offered no apology, no compensation, and took no accountability. Instead, they simply suggested I take Benadryl. That is not an appropriate or professional response to a chemical injury. To make matters worse, they tried to claim it was my body "having a reaction"--despite my history of safely receiving the same services for years without issue and that it was only the lower portion of my scalp where chemicals were left the longest. This was clearly due to overprocessing and improper chemical handling. I'm sharing this to help others make informed decisions. read more

Shelby, Shelby, Shelby. Shelby is the reason I have been coming to H2D for so many years now, and if she ever left I would too. Jamie, who often handles the phones and front of the house in general, is jovial and great at customer service. The other ladies are always pleasant when I come in as well. Go see Shelby! read more

Jena was awesome! Completely respected my request and understood my unease about cutting my hair after so long. With such long hair it is my image and even taking away a little extra of it can be devastating. She made sure to let me know where she was at throughout the hair cut. Look forward to doing some possible color correction or toner with her soon. read more

My best friend had been having her hair cut by someone here for over 10 years, so I made an appt w her. Show up and found out my girl wasn't even scheduled, so had another girl (Emily) cut my hair. About 2 weeks later I noticed that my hair was getting tangled very easily and my curls were frizzier than normal this early after an appt. went to my normal stylist who showed me how my hair hadn't even been trimmed on one side and was nearly 1 1/2 inches longer on one side than the other! At that first appt. I'd scheduled an updo for July 1st, for my bridal shower, and I'd also booked my bridal party for for this coming October--yes yes, I was willing to try again using someone different. So, I show up on July 1st to find a sign stating that the salon was closed for the July 4th holiday weekend. So, I will be canceling my bridal party of 13. I tried to give them a second shot, but it seems that Hair 2 Dare doesn't know how to appropriately manage their business! read more

I decided to dye my hair some pretty colors while growing out to a natural color. Hala did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. She bleached out the box dye I had been using and colored it beautifully. The highlights at the top blend in the silver to make going grey much more fun. read more

I can only give one I went in to have my nails done. She messed my nails up so bad the polish didn't even last 24 hours. She didn't trim them or file them done by the bottom of the nail which left them feeling rough. Now this morning one of my nails popped off leaving my nail damaged and sore I will never go back there again. They charge too much for a fill and did a lousy job. Smh! Don't waste your money. read more

Hair 2 Dare is the best place for eyebrow waxing. I have tried many places, but none compare. Many of their technicians have done my eyes and I have always been pleased. I do think that Liz, one of the owners, does the best. The salon is modern. The atmosphere is nice. The employees are trendy, stylish, and outgoing. Their prices are reasonable. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this place really forced me to. I went their for hair color/highlights treatment before my wedding. I walked out with exactly the same dull hair color that I had when I walked in. The stylist was surprised and told me that my hair didn't pick up the highlights color that she had put in. They asked me to come back again and told me that they could fix it during my second visit. I paid them $120 for the service that day. Then, I traveled out of state for my wedding for a week and went back again to get the color I wanted in my hair. The treatment was done again, but the same result - no color. On top of it, they charged me $30 again claiming that they used "products" on my hair. The stylist couldn't even look at me because she knew that I never got the color but was still made to pay for it. I paid again and left highly disappointed. As if this wasn't enough, I got a call from one of the owners who was super rude, was trying to explain me that my hair probably already had color and that's why they didn't pick up the highlights. Well, whose hair doesn't have color already and what's the point of going to a salon if they can't bring the color out?? I told her that its not a usual practice to charge a customer who already paid you a high price and you are doing a "Fixing" service to them. She disagreed and asked me to go to a cheaper salon instead. I have been going regularly to Bianchi's before.. amazing service.. better products and phenomenal customer care. Hair to Dare is a complete disappointment, poor customer service and their prices are even more expensive than high end salons. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!! read more

Shelby saved my hair. I had this horrid super blonde yellow hair near the front of my head (think Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter) and super dark with blonde streaks near the top and back of my head. It was a disaster. I needed someone to fix this mess. I didn't want to go back to the lady who did that to my hair in the first place. I was going to go to Hair 2 Dare in the first place, and actually wanted to see Shelby, but decided to go to this lady because I was being cheap, and I've seen her before with no (major) problems. Anyway, I went in for a consultation with Shelby. She was very confident that she could fix my hair. I made an appointment for the following week. I could not believe what my hair looked like when I left the salon. Shelby totally transformed my hair color. You would have never known what I walked in there with. The prices there are very reasonable. Shelby is extremely talented. I have found my new salon and stylist. I will go to Shelby whenever I want my hair done from now on. I recommend her to everyone. You will not be disappointed. read more

Horrible horrible business. I didn't even go there to get my hair done and I got yelled at by one of the stylist for parking in a spot that wasn't designated for that business. Unbelievable how rude she treated us. I would never go there even.if it was the last salon on earth. read more

More of a neighborhood "click" business. "Click" your only there because you have a good support system. "Click" even they will get tired of your inferior products and work. Much better places around for much better rates. Too bad , they are local but beware , their just not very good. read more
