I called the salon yesterday to make an appointment with Arlene. I know her from her previous salon and hadn't seen her in quite some time. My daughter has been with her all along. I went with my "rapunzel" looking hair as she said, and we decided to take quite some length off. This is the best thing I could have done because my hair was looking really unhealthy. I am very happy with the style I now have and she had me feeling like a million bucks when I left. If you are looking for someone who has been doing hair for a long time she is great. My daughter has really tight curls and Arlene can do the best blow out I've ever seen. Great salon, reasonable prices, and great staff. read more

Love this salon! Ashley always does an amazing job on my hair. I always come here for blow outs and hair treatments. She gives that perfect smooth blowout and if you are looking for waves or curls she can do that too. She's also great with extensions. Yet again it's BLO to the rescue.... Scenario - Me, gorgeous hair...really...long...growing like a weed...color = amazing....yeah I have a few grays coming in...no biggie, jump to Shannon, feeling a little itch for something different.....remembering my youth...apparently not fondly, because I decide to bottle blonde the hell out of my wig AND COMPLETELY RUIN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear sometimes I am abducted by aliens and they mess with my brain! Now all my gorgeousness is a hideous mess...and to pour salt in the wounds...I lop almost 8 inches off the back!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH ME??? I have no professional training...why do I do this to myself? I glare at the color spazz I have created atop my head and give in to defeat and call BLO! DESPERATE! Can someone please fit me in, ANYONE, tonight? BLO: Sure no problem, can you be here by 6? I RACE in my DeLorean to get there, praying I transport back in time before I created this hideous mess....but when I don't I know I'm in good hands! This time I see Kayla.... I feed her my sob story...she giggles...and tells me it's going to all be okay... Sigh...relief.... The end product, is nothing short of amazing...again! I was in town for a wedding and knew nothing about the local businesses in the area. I found Blo purely by chance, by searching Yelp for a salon near my hotel. What an amazing find this was! I went in for an updo, bringing a photo of a hairstyle I'd seen on Kate Middleton. Arlene was my stylist -- she looked at the photo once and I could tell she was ready to get creative right away. She was friendly and chatty while still working very efficiently. I told her what I liked in a terms of style, and she accommodated me. My hair ended up looking exactly like the photo I had brought! In addition to giving me an awesome updo, Arlene talked about other services she likes to perform on hair and various products the salon had to offer. It was obvious that she's a knowledgeable and skilled stylist with diverse talents. Blo is located in a strange little strip mall with lots of deserted storefronts around. Don't let that deter you. The salon is high-style, high-fashion and it was hopping on Saturday morning. The owner was right there working among his staff, which is a good sign. I didn't look at the pricing chart at all, but my updo ran $65, which is actually lower than I expected for a salon that looks so high-end. I would go back! read more

I am new to the area and have been searching for a new hair stylist. I have medium hair that I am letting grow to a longer length, but I like to keep my hair polished looking for work. The receptionist set me up with Elena, who she said was good with longer hair, and she was great! I could tell right away she understood what I wanted from my hair cut. She was friendly and personable and was able to wash, cut and dry my hair in 50 minutes. (It used to take my last stylist 1.25 hours at least.) I am so happy that I was able to find a new stylist! I will be back to see Elena and I would recommend her to any of my friends! read more

I went to Blo Salon with my bridal party for our Wedding prep! ..and WOW. I honestly have never felt so beautiful in my life and I owe it to the Team at Blo! They were all amazing! and all of my girls looked gorgeous. When I went for my trial, I had only a vision in my head of what I wanted and a few photos on my phone of styles that had only pieces of what I was looking for. I could not find a picture anywhere of the style I wanted! After talking it out with Arlene and trying to explain what I wanted, I thought "how is she going to do this with just my scattered explanation!" But it was PERFECT! It was exactly what I wanted and even better on the day of! The morning of the Wedding she was so sweet, fun and so CALM - which was such a blessing for a bride, 8 girls and a tight schedule! When I went for my makeup trial, I had no photos, no vision - just put it in the hands of Kayla, and Im so glad I did! She did such a beautiful job! It was better than I could have ever imagined. She is so detailed and focused and made sure that all of my girls and I looked and felt beautiful! Arlene seemed great at first but can never repeat the look - its different and uneven from time to time. It ALWAYS took a second trip for her to fix it. Not to mention she always runs late and front desk doesn't bother to let you know. Is it that difficult to be courteous? I also made a mistake of going there to get an up do for a wedding... Needless to say, I came out of there crying because my hair looked HIDEOUS!! I ended up driving all the way home, taking a shower and started over and did it myself. I always try to give people/places a chance but I'm done Here. If you are a punctual person and want things done right the first time, this place is not for you. read more

Have to say at first sight it's very pretty! I was first appt scheduled for the day and yet I still say in lobby for 15mins. My hair color with 3 foils cost me the same as my friend who did full color full highlights and haircut. Not understanding that pricing and the all over color didn't last even 2weeks for it to be permanent sure didn't stay. I was hesitant to not like it's going to change the aftermath. read more

I trust her completely in helping me decide my cut and color / or highlights. They are very knowledgable about what is best for every hair color and type. I went to Blo Salon for the first time about a year ago and I will never see another salon again. I was offered a beverage when I arrived and everyone I came across had an upbeat happy energy. Went there based on the positive reviews on yelp but my experience was far from 5 stars as you can get. I explained to Kayla that I didn't want my hair cut short and that I have had bad experiences at other salon's. Well you can guess what transpired. I felt rushed and it was as if she couldn't be bothered to wash/rinse my hair. I don't know if she was having a bad day or tired but when your in a service industry especially something so personal as someones look, self image, etc. its unacceptable! read more

The salon decor is very trendy and industrial-like. When I first walked in, I guessed that I would be greeted by a girl in 6-inch heels that looked like she just got out of the Bebe fashion show and the MAC counter. Instead, the host and stylist were both very down to earth! It was really nice to have a salon that seemed to limit the drama that sometimes seems common with other higher end salons that I've visited. The technical expertise was good too, but took. A bit longer than I expected for services (not due to wait time, but speed of my stylist). Overall, I would recommend is place for a good hair cut and comfortable people. While I have always dreamed of wearing those great sleek trendy cuts I see in the magazines. My hair has always had a mind of its own. While I look great upon leaving the salon the slightest bit of humidity turns my cute trendy cut into a frizzy layered mess. That is until James told me I would be a good candidate for a Brazilian Blowout. After another crazy hair summer I decided to treat myself and see what this treatment had to offer for my hair. I made an apt. with Pam and am I so glad that I did! I LOVE my hair! It was the best money I could have spent. Pam was great! She explained the process and transformed my hair to perfection. She really took her time and it shows. I would highly recommend Pam and this treatment to anyone. You will not be disappointed. My hair used to take twenty minutes to blow dry and ten minutes to flat iron. It now takes ten quick minutes and my flat iron is packed away--HOORAY!
