So I hate to write a good review for my hidden gem I found, but it the right thing. Threading is only $10 and they do a awesome job. I get my eyebrows tinted, only $20 and they look great, better than any other spas in the area that WAY overcharge. Won't name them, but I'm sure if you know shelby you know the ones. They speak broken English and they are sometimes hard to understand but they are extremely nice and professional, and very clean. They have punchcards as well, after so many threading you get a free one. I would like to try their facials and body wraps, also very fairly priced and maybe get a henna tattoo for the fall when I start belly dancing again. Highly recommended, walk inns are find but I have a feeling they will be getting very busy soon. One thing is, make sure to stick with the lady you like, I once went in and they made mine a little thin, she did not know me. read more

Great place to get your eyebrows/facial hair done. They offer henna and other body treatments but eyebrows is all I've done. Never need an appointment for them to get threaded, super quick, and good price even with the $2 increase this year. Purchased a Groupon for an eyebrow threading. The annoying part was the directions on the Groupon. It states that you must book an appointment by sending an email to them. The email never goes through and no one ever picks up the phone, so just go in person. It is a very quick wait. She threads your eyebrows in less than 10 minutes. I bought a groupon to get my eyebrows waxed at this place. Only $4!! This place was quite a drive for me but it was worth it. The two ladies working were so sweet and accommodating and the one that helped me suggested to get my eyebrows threaded since its better than waxing which I did not know. I gave it a shot, definitely more painful rotfl. Feels like sandpaper sort of rubbing your eyelids. Or maybe I'm just a baby, but anyway. She made me arches so perfect and clean! The only place I'll go to get my eyebrows done! I've had them waxed plenty of times but my skin is very sensitive and the wax causes me to break out. I decided to give threading a try, hoping for less irritation. These women were so friendly and reassuring when I let them know it was my first time getting my brows threaded. The pain was similar to that of waxing but the time it took was basically cut in half! They're very good at shaping your eyebrows to fit your face and offering advice for any questions/concerns you may have. I've gone back multiple times now. I even have my fiance come with me to get his done. I'll never go anywhere else! read more

Very exceptional service in a nice, well-maintained facility. I am a regular customer and love going there, especially as a threading day spa is so close to home in the Macomb area. I have done threading, waxing, and facials there. The experience is just as authentic as you would get in India. The only drawback to the place is that the decor is a little sparse and minimal, and they do not offer the widest variety of facials, only basic ones. So in case you were looking for that. But otherwise a very professional salon with friendly, skilled staff. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I was excited when I learned there were opening so close to home because I usually drive all the way out to Oakland Mall for my threading. There is a place at Lakeside as well, but I don't love the job they do. There is a sign on the door that gives business hours and clearly states that walk-ins are welcome. Eyebrow threading generally takes about 10 minutes so I rarely make an appointment. The first time I went into Elegant Brows was great. I was able to walk in and have my eyebrows threaded while only waiting about 5 minutes to get in the chair. Its a nice enough shop; clean and bright. I liked the results of my first visit. The second time I went in, it was like a ghost town. I went in at about 6PM on a Monday and waited at the desk for 5 minutes before the shop owner came out to tell me she was doing some waxing in the back and that I should come back another time. Her employee was apparently sick that day. I shrugged it off and went elsewhere. The third time I walked in was yesterday (Tuesday). It was also around 6PM and there was no one in the shop. When the shop owner came out, she told me she was "in the middle of eyelash extensions" and that her employee didn't come in (AGAIN??). I took that as my cue to leave and went to Lakeside out of desperation. As much as I wanted to be able to patrionize Elegant Brows, it appears that they don't want my business. If you cannot accomodate walk-ins, remove the sign on the door that says walk-ins are welcome. I would have been happy to make an appointment had I known this was the case. I hope the shop owner hires someone more reliable in the future because I really would love for this place to succeed. read more

If I could give this place a negative rating I would simply for the customer service. We called on Friday and asked for an appointment for a facial even stating it didn't have to be right away. They told us we can get you in on Saturday at 7:15 pm or Sunday at 8 am. We opted for Saturday evening. Saturday comes around and we do about our day, having shifted plans around to accompany the appointment only fo get two calls on Saturday asking us to come in at 5 since they were slow, calls we're at 4:30 and 4:35 pm. Explained that we would not be able to until 7:15 since we we we're running errands. They called a third time at 5:10 stating the technician now had a "family emergency" and needs us to come in now instead of 7:15 pm. I told them we'd go elsewhere since our business clearly isn't important to them. If the tech had a family emergency wouldn't she leave immediately and need to cancel the appointment instead of having us come in now? They clearly didn't want to stay until 7:15 and wanted to leave early on a Saturday. We will not be retuning to this place again. read more

They also carry Xtreme related products, high end skin care such as Dermalogica & specialty gifts like candles, silk slip on shoes (probably to be worn with traditional sari but would be a unique house slipper for a hostess gift) etc... . I am very pleased with the threading and eyelash extensions I received. Mady even followed up a couple days after the 2 hour eyelash process to make sure I was doing ok. They are totally weightless so you don't feel them or see shadows like you do with the false stick ons. I am interested to see how they wear but my package had 2 touch ups included for a steal and I know I'm in good hands with Mady so I am not worried. We were lacking a reasonably priced, easily accessible threading/waxing spa out in the concrete jungle of northern Macomb. Now we have the perfect spot. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded here for about a year now with no issues until I sent my two adult daughters here for eyebrow threading. The lady working on this day proceeding in telling my youngest daughter that she should let her eyebrows fill in thicker because she is too fat for thinner eyebrows. And, yes, she used the word fat. This lady then continued to tell my daughter that she should go on a diet so that she will be thinner and more beautiful like her sister. Needless to say my daughter came over very upset and hurt afterwards. I have since talked to the business and stated i would not be returning. I guess business is booming and they dont need mine or my daughters business, because we will never darken their door again. I am shocked that people think its okay to talk to a customer in this manner. Rude! read more

I don't think it hurts any more than waxing, but it takes a little longer, so the pain last longer. NEVER GO HERE! I booked a lash extension appointment online and payed for it, and arrived at the scheduled time and the woman said they don't do them anymore. Then proceeded to argue with me about refunding me my money i already payed online. Should have maybe taken down that option for online booking?
