For your post-covid hair makeover, I highly suggest seeing Aubrey. I always give her artistic freedom with a few guidelines, and her instinct is 100% on point. It helps that her hair type is a twin of mine; very fine and harder to grow long. I bleach the living hell out of mine, but she always finds a way to give my hair some grace through the turmoil. I came to her first after a traumatizing incident with my longer locks and a hair dryer. With the olfactory recognition of burning hair setting in, I looked down (in horror) to see my bathroom sink filling with bits of ash, lazily raining down from what seemed to be a volcanic storm cloud around my head. Horrified, I had Aubrey salvage what she could. Did I think to try a sweet 'French bob', a much shorter cut than I had ever done, but cut and styled to fit my face shape and personality to correct the frayed ends? Nope. Only when she was finished did I see how her vision was right on, and my desperation to keep the same length and style was not as flattering considering the damage. I have continued to keep up a shorter style, and I find that it has truly suited me better. I checked in online about a half hour before the appointment, which allows you to be put on a list and view the anticipated wait time depending on volume. The timing worked out perfectly, and I waited for less than 5 minutes after arriving. A ladies haircut ran me $17, and Aubrey slayed it again with a cute cut to help my hair feel less like a tangled ball of string as it grows out a bit. So go treat yo self; give those sad Covid hairs a boost of confidence, and trust Aubrey to do it! read more

This review is to address the guy that works at this location 4/24/23. While waiting 45 minutes in the lobby today with my mom for her haircut, i observed the male stylist looking miserable and hating his job. I saw him roll his eyes at customers a couple times when they werent looking, raise his voice rudely at senior customers, become frustrated with almost everyone that walked in the door, and just flat out have an attitude the entire time. He had an awful demeanor with everyone in his chair, and also didnt talk at all. I wasnt the only person in the lobby staring at him, shocked at his behavior. Sorry but if you dont like people that much, dont work in customer service. I will not be returning to this store. I will be going somewhere that has nicer employees. read more

Veronica messed my hair up so bad. I never complain or cry about hair. Cause it does grow back. This time I couldn't help but do both. I sat in the chair asked for my hair to be thinned. No trimmed or cut. Just thinned. She said " so more layers" I said no just thinned. I should have just gotten up at that point. When I got home I saw how horrible it was. I left house and was here in 10 min.. my name wasn't on the list and salon lady was argumentative and confrontational. I will admit it. I'm cheap when it comes to haircuts. I don't really see a need to pay 30 or 40 bucks just for someone to take a set of clippers to my hair and whack off the rest at finger length. So I go to great clips. Do I look like Brad Pitt or Taylor Lautner when I walk out? Of course not. But does it work until the next time I need my shearin done? Sure! As I waited for my wife to finish her shopping at Smith's, I was parked directly in front of Great Clips, an elderly Customer from Smith's unloaded her groceries into the car next to me and as she was trying to figure out how to get her cart back on the sidewalk, an employee from Great Clips ran out and assisted her as she maneuvered through the tight parking spaces. Wow, is all I can say. First it's been a few days since I washed my hair, expecting an offer for a wash, nothing came. So my hair has always been oily and will always be, the lady offends me by saying you need to condition the ends not the roots. I didn't say anything because if I said something it would of not sounded nice. And she's cutting my hair. So she gets ready to cut my hair, I say I want a trim..... so I get a half assed trim, and a 10 minute hair cut. Mind you I have shoulder length thick hair. A good cut takes more time on me. She finishes and I still find a split end. The worst thing is the last clients hair was all over her work station and dirty clippers. I couldn't even put my purse down. I went for the 1st time today for a last minute haircut. I was excited to have a place so close to home. I called to make an appointment and was told to check in online... cool I guess since I've never been before and don't know the website. I show up no appointment no online check in and let's say less then welcoming this way. Moving on it's busy so ok I get it stress causes less than favorable customer service 20 min wait not bad I stay. I get my beautician she says my last name wrong and it's ok I smiled and said it and the response I received was a start to a bad relationship. I still continue I give what I'm looking for. I was told that in the future I can always get a consultation if I don't know for sure what I'm looking for ( I am looking for trim and soft layers and bangs to frame my face that I show with my hands) I'm uncomfortable now but my hairs in her hands she has scissors already cutting my hair, a minute goes by and she's having me tilt my head up down side to side no personality very little conversation and I feel anything I ask or say will be met with attitude. The end is coming and I explain my bangs and want and show with my hands she starts and by the end I received what I wanted with the correct terms " I'm not in the hair business" I don't know sorry I guess. In the end good haircut, lack of customer service and relationships building. Lesson learned I need to find a permanent salon. Sadly, the girl who cut my hair (Michelle, I believe?) was wonderful. Unfortunately, I am one of those customers who will NOT RETURN DUE TO BAD SERVICE, EVEN THOUGH THE HAIRCUT WAS EXCELLENT. Sorry, folks, it happens. I called ahead to be sure Michelle was working. She was. I walk in, ask for her, she's at lunch. I ask when will she be back. I'm told 1:15, but come back at 1:30 "to be safe". ?? To be safe of what, that she didn't get beamed up by aliens or kidnapped by ISIS?? If she is expected back at 1:15, then 1:15 it is. If she's late, then we deal with that at the time. As a manager, have "control" of your store, your staff! I tell Stacy the manager I need a solid time because I have subsequent appointments, so just give me a time, and I'll be back. Okay, 1:30 it is. Fine. (Good grief, Stacy, it's so simple...I did this for TWO hair salons for a loooong time when I was YOUNGER THAN YOU; not rocket science, girl!) But don't tell me 1:30 "just to be safe", and have me waiting because someone else "snuck in there before me".............BECAUSE THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED, AND THE LAME MGR STACY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW IT WENT WRONG OR HOW TO FIX IT. DERP. So I come back at 1:30, and I'll be damned, if I didn't open that door and Michelle was cutting someone else's hair!! I just stood at the door, looked at Stacy, and said, "No you didn't. I give up. I'm outta here." and I just left. I then called the store and asked for the store manager - she was the sunshine that answered the phone. When I told Stacy where the whole thing went wrong, and asked her WHY did she give Michelle another haircut when SHE KNEW I was coming back at 1:30 PER HER INSTRUCTIONS, she went into the standard diatribe of them being a walk-in facility, they try to accommodate the wait as best as possible, blah, blah, blah...ALL things that mean NOTHING to me since SHE told me to come back at 1:30 to get Michelle after her lunch! I tried to explain to the rock that in "theory" she was correct, however, when you TELL a customer to come back and you KNOW this customer is on a schedule, you don't then give the stylist another haircut, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE OTHER STYLISTS AVAILABLE, INCLUDING HER, THE MANAGER!! So after 10 minutes of a beating of my head on the wall trying to reason with a drunk (so to speak), I asked sunshine for the general managers phone number. She gave me Keri's name and phone number. I called Keri, she "got it", she totally handled it the way it should have been handled from the get-go, and she admitted sunshine girl Stacy was a "new manager". My advice? Stacy has no business in management because she doesn't even possess the BASIC problem solving skills it takes NOW, much less potential for the future. So, while Keri the GM listened and got it, it still will not bring be back as a customer. THEREFORE, GREAT CLIPS GETS ONE LOUSY STAR (but I would give the stylist Michelle 5 stars, let the record reflect that!) ONE STAR FOR IN-STORE LOUSY MANAGEMENT 3 stars for salon cleanliness; nothing to write home about; boring décor! 3 stars for location; but HORRIBLE parking, too busy of an area 5 stars for Keri, the GM, for MAKING AN EXCELLENT EFFORT TO RETAIN A CUSTOMER; I'm just not that easy to win back, sorry...too much competition in the marketplace, and I've already replaced them with SUPERCUTS (5 STARS!)
