I would give them 4 1/2 stars if I could ONLY because these two people (Kevin & Gwen) belong in a nicer-looking salon. Great location, but could be better. Both are very personable & just terribly sweet. The other thing I liked was that after the blowout, Kevin really wanted to trim my hair & I understood. Ever since I cut it short, my husband freaks out so I get slow trims and hope to not inflict any extra damage until the next trim. He asked to just snip the ends and that made a nice, uniform look to my ends. I am satisfied with the amount of frizz that was removed and I bought the Keratin shampoo/conditioner. Kevin also gave me his card and told me to call if I had any questions. He has been doing hair for 25 years-mostly in CA. He explained every step and reinforced what not-to-do to keep up my Keratin treatment for the usual 6-8 weeks. Also gave me an amazing price on the Brazilian Blowout! I would give him 5-stars alone. Very nice work

Fast forward to now--my son is turning 10, with curly, shoulder-length hair, and it was definitely time for another cut. Mothers all over the area (self included) were so ecstatic. Take 5 takes all ages (it's not specifically a kids salon, I mainly see adults here) and it's a very cute place. My son is not yet two and he's very wiggly. Jamie manages to get this perfect little haircut (with shears and a razor, no less) done on him and in no time at all! In our time there, I've scanned the prices and they are very reasonable!

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I…read morearrived for my daughter's appointment for a wash, blow dry, and haircut, which I booked online. The stylist had done my daughter's hair before, so I didn't expect any issues. As soon as we arrived, she asked, "Who booked this appointment for you?" I told her I booked it online. She immediately began telling me that my daughter had "too much hair" for the service I selected and said that the service was for their "white customers." She told me I should have booked a Signature Blowout instead and that I should have called the salon rather than booking online. I understand that textured hair services may require additional time, and the salon does have a separate section for textured hair services. However, a wash, blow dry, and haircut is not listed under that section, so I booked the haircut service exactly as it appeared online. There was nothing during the booking process indicating that this service was limited to certain hair types or that it wasn't appropriate for my daughter. The stylist then said she could "try to do something" with my daughter's hair but wouldn't have enough time. By that point, I was uncomfortable with both her comments and the way she spoke to me. I told her not to worry about it because I no longer wanted her servicing my daughter, and we left. If the salon has different requirements based on hair type, texture, or length, that should be clearly explained in the online booking system. More importantly, those conversations should be handled professionally and respectfully. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel unwelcome, and I won't be returning.
