Terrible. I went in and asked for a very small trim to my hair, and they chopped off the hair on one side of my head. I think it was caused by a language problem. They fixed up how they could, but it was nowhere near the haircut I asked for. Very upsetting experience and will not be back. read more

Came here for a quick haircut. I usually have my barber give me a cut, however in the event that I need something last minute, it's pretty difficult to get an appointment..so I gave this place a try..Not only was it quick, but really really messed up..avoid the older gentlemen with the dyed Jet black hair. My 22 month old son needed a haircut. He's had one other haircut at an expensive kid place- the haircut was good but expensive, and my son cried and vomited. So I decided to go somewhere cheaper. Amanda was SO good. She took some time to connect with him before the haircut and was patient and wonderful with him. I had also brought in a dvd player for him to watch sesame street, which helped too. My son remained quiet and happy thru the buzzing and the clipping. And only $14 regular, less with coupons. Since then, Amanda has left so we have been getting his hair cut by Shama (sp?) who is, in my opinion, even better. read more

Worst haircut I have ever gotten! I came in for a trim and after having to explain to Tom several times what "long layers" were, he cut off much more than I had wanted in order to fix it. In the end it still looks choppy and horrible and I cannot wait for it to grow out so I can have someone who knows what they are doing fix it. Extremely disappointed. I have been to this location before and received a decent hair cut, but this is outrageous. I will NOT be returning. read more

Best place to get a haircut in Millbrae, as you don't need to wait very long and it's reasonably priced at $17. They greet you and check you in right away when you come in even though they may be cutting someone else's hair. You can also check-in on your phone. They open early at 9am and late till 6-7pm so it works well for your work schedule. If you buy a $50 haircut, then you get a free haircut! Plenty of parking in the lot next to the building. They can do pretty good fades too. read more

Maybe this place isn't terrible, I'm sure the other people are great. However, the lady I had literally butchered my hair! It was shoulder length and I went in asking for an asymetrical bob. She didn't understand what I was asking for so my Aunt found a picture and set it in front of the lady. So we discussed what I wanted in relation to the picture and I let her get started, Its a simple cut, I've cut other people's hair into that style and I've had mine cut like that before. She managed to make all of the lines in back uneven when it should have been a relatively straight cut in the back. Then she cut my right side to just below eye length and without asking how I part it she cut the other side long to about my chin. She then tried to convince me it wasn't too bad and it KINDA looked like the picture. I told her it looked nothing like the picture and that she did a bad job. She kept insisting it wasn't TOO bad. Since I wasn't feeling well that day I decided to just pay and leave. Luckily once we got home my Aunt trimmed my hair to even it out and fixed the left side. Now my hair is super short. Although I'm amused that my Aunt who is blind in one eye cut my hair better than a "professional". So if you go first get a simple cut, and second don't let the lady anywhere near your hair or you could have a similar horror story!! read more

i went in recently for a haircut and asked the hairdresser to even out the ends of my hair (which was about one inch) but when i got out of my chair and looked at the floor to see about 3.5 inches on the floor and to look in the mirror and see how short my hair was, i was completely disappointed. i will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I went to Great Clips for a trim and to clean up my layers around my face. I checked in online when I saw that there was no wait. I quickly went in and there were two stylists (I use the word stylist loosly). There was an older gentleman and a lady. I was pawned off on the older gentleman "Wen". I sat down and told him my needs. He then went to work spraying my hair with water (he was really good at that). Then he asked me how much I wanted to take off the ends. Keep in mind I have not had a trim in a long time and have split ends I wanted taken care of. He showed me about a quarter of an inch as if to indicate that is all I needed taken off. I told him that I needed about an inch and a half taken off. He did the trim and then was going to start my layers. My faith in his ability quickly wavered as I watched him slowly measure out my hair a couple times before he made a move. I told him to forget the layers. (I could see that this would probably get ugly) He seemed relieved at this. He then decided he would blow dry my hair since it was pretty damp from his fun with the spray bottle but instead of using the blowdryer and a round brush (as I wear my hair straight) he uses the blow dryer and his hand. I didn't need my hair to be a frizzy mess so I told him he did not have to do that because I was going to go home to take a shower. Needless to say I paid 16.00 for a trim that was so so. I will not be returning. read more

I'm pretty upset. I got my My haircut and styled 2 weeks ago. I went in asking for a trim and a blow dry. Let me say my hair is naturally very curly and thick. I Just a regular blow dry so my hair will look big and fabulous. I told the hair stylist I wanted it blow dried a few times. The trim looked fine, se started styling it but using a curling iron...I wanted a blow dry. I have mentioned if she will be using one but she said it will take a toll on her wrist since she's been having issues. Well, I could've been informed that and wait for the next person to do my hair. Anyways, the curls weren't even that nice. I was already annoyed. I just straightened my hair to finally see my layers and it's horrible!! It's not even on both sides and it looks choppy and messy. I'm very upset. I've been coming to great clips for a while now and Linda usually does my hair. I should've just had her do it. I don't remember the lady that did my hair but she's Asian. I've never been this upset with just a trim and layers. read more

I hate coming here, but I'm not sure where else to go when I'm in this area. I walked in at 5pm and didn't get out of there till 6:15pm on a weekday so avoid coming in during this time. I find it ridiculous that the barbers have to stop their hair cutting every time someone walks in so that they can "check" them in. This is one of the few places where I go to get a hair cut and I have to be checked in. And all they do is lookup your phone number. They couldn't find my phone number so I had to repeat it 3 times. Same thing with the 8-10 other people who dropped in while I waited for my turn. How is the barber supposed to finish cutting anyone's hair when they have to stop every 2 mins. to check someone in? A 10 minute guy's haircut turns into a 30 min. haircut. One tip is to check-in online before you show up. Also don't understand the point of that because when you show up, you have to check-in again. read more

If I were u, I would go elsewhere even if u had a great coupon. First time ever here and got the worst haircut and experience. They cut ur hair as they want even u have certain requests and expectations. Their credit card machine was broken, and they found out after the receipt says "approved" and came to the next store to embarrass us saying that my card was "declined." I told him it was not possible and turned out it was their machine that was not working. The lady told me that I had to leave my card or driver's license or my phone till I come bk w the cash. REALLY? Like I trust u w my stuff? Then the lady after me had the same problem w her card and she did not ask her to leave anything for hostage. I was very upset since the lady was white and I'm not, so felt like she was being a racist. I should've listened to my friend and not come here. She also got an awful cut and had to get it fixed elsewhere. Not even worth a penny! read more
