I'd expected a more typical salon, but I was delighted to find that the entire first floor is dedicated to imported Asian beauty products. In the couple minutes before my appointment, I was finally able to test the Biore Water Essence 50+ SPF I've been wanting to try for a while (I bought it). Right at my appointment time, I was led upstairs and the attendant made sure I had a second to use the restroom (the perm would take about 40 mins). So I went to the bathroom and changed into my glasses, then went into a semi-private room where the attendant laid me down on a futon-like bed (and even gave me a comforter!) She applied this little plastic contraption to each of my eyes, applied the perm solution, and left me to sit for about 20 mins with some fun and relaxing music in the background. Then she came back, removed the first contraption, applied a little eyelash serum, put another contraption on my eye, then some more perm solution and left me for another 20 minutes. In those 40 minutes, I got two quick naps in and also got some REALLY curled eyelashes. The only thing that could have been cool was if they had a tint to make my eyelashes darker -- kill two birds with one stone, ya know? This seems to be a typical service at other eyelash perm places I've looked at. However, I also know that the way they do your lashes at Dazzling is a little different so it's possible that the mechanism they're using wouldn't support a dye, too. I'll definitely be back (I got the 2-pack Groupon), and next time I'll be staying to try out a couple more products! The only con: a little hard to find. My GPS took me to the wrong shopping center. Wondering if they were potentially at a different location before? But using the actual street address instead of searching for Dazzling in Google Maps fixed that problem and it was only a 2 minute walk away!

They don't carry too many or any Japanese brands, youd have to go to Apricot Skin care thats across the street. STAFF - The guy manning the place was super friendly and helpful in helping me choose the products best suited for my young, combination skin. NEW LOCATION IN APRIL - Ugh! I wish this was closer by my house. BUT, good news is that they are going to move their store over to Millbrae which is great because I work right there!! Yay!! I went to this location with my pre-schooler and infant along with a good friend of mine. My two girls were feeling under the weather and anxious after being in the mall for so long. They just wanted to be held and cuddled by me, even though my friend offered to help. When I entered the area, Tina greeted me warmly and asked how she could be of help. I let her know what I was looking for and she gave great suggestions. In fact, I took the first suggestion for my sister and asked for Kat Von D cosmetics to add to it. I also asked about her foundation because her makeup was flawless. My favorite foundation cream was discontinued and I couldn't find it anywhere. I wanted a replacement. Tina was very helpful in finding the right shade and type of foundation for me. She was patient and understanding about two skirmish girls being on my lap while she tested the foundation on my skin as well. I appreciated that she was so pleasant and understanding the whole time. In the end, I decided I would wait on getting foundation for myself as my sister was priority. She didn't push the sale on me at all. Instead, she offered to make me a sample of the foundation to take home and when I was ready, I can purchase it. Wow! How nice not to be pressured into buying. Tina made checking out very easy and she was very informative. She explained the rewards program as well as the JC Penney card. She offered free gifts for my birthday (my middle sister and I were both born in April) upon signing up for the Sephora rewards. She's a pro at her job! I had come in since my Hawaiian environment was way different from the chill in the air of California. My skin was in desperate need of a hydrating moisturizer. I ended up buying a really good smelling jar by Origins and a mask. The salesperson came to me after she finished helping another customer. She gave me a sample of an IT moisturizer but it wasn't the one I came in for featured in an email that morning. Strangely both products rang up higher than signed. Twenty dollars more had me question the ring up. While she called for her supervisor on the phone, I went to get the price sign. They seemed hesitant to honor their signage but eventually did.

I never felt rushed or pressured--by the end of the appointment, I completely trusted her judgment. We ended up doing a full-face treatment with Botox and filler, including my lips, and even immediately afterward I was so happy with the direction of the results. She really understands facial balance and how to enhance your features rather than just adding filler. He even told me to not worry about my skin. Just take the med/ointments as he said and relax, leave the worrying to him because that's what he does. Within 2 days of taking the oral med, my swelling was all gone. After 4 days of both oral and tropical med, the redness on my face was gone! Seeing a specialist always worries me because they can get very expensive but I am SO THANKFUL that I found Dr. Oliver. His pricing was very reasonable as I pay out of pocket and his office visit price covered the ointments/oral med he prescribed for me. Really appreciate that. I actually just visited Dr. Oliver for a follow up appointment today. Again, he was super patient and answered everything I asked!! Did not feel rushed at all. Was hoping he clears me from the prescribed meds but he suggests to continue for another week just to make sure everything is cleared completely. Still dealing with some lingering dryness and tightness. Hope that go away soon. Cassandra the receptionist was super sweet and helpful as well! They offer water or tea while you wait. I come here all the way from Fremont to get my hair done! Seriously so worth it. I have a couple of friends who do the same also because the work here is outstanding. I've gotten my ombre, root dye, and haircut done here before and I think it is well worth the money. The prices are a bit expensive but honestly when I compare my hair to my friend's who have their's done at cheaper places.... YOU CAN VERY MUCH TELL THE DIFFERENCE LOL My ombre touch-ups are never blotchy and get better each time and are always beautifully blended with my root. Haircuts take an hour, kind of awhile but I see why since they section and cut every piece with precision. I like how each time I come in for an ombre touch up and whenever I want to do something different with it, they do not automatically agree to do it. If they feel like there are precautions that need to be taken, they take the time to explain the dangers of going extremely lighter such as hair damage, etc. This really shows they aren't hasty to take your money since there have been times that they suggested to give my hair a rest and wait out until another color appointment. They take their time, bless you with their expertise (so you do not make hasty decisions and damage your hair!!) and do a beautiful style at the end so you can walk out satisfied! I'm usually very picky or indecisive about my haircuts because for shorter hair and men's cuts, if you make a mistake or mess up, it's very hard to fix it or is noticeable. I took my chance at this place since I had a big event coming up and to my surprise I was very pleased. I assumed they were more focused on women's hair but you can say the same for men as well. My stylist gave me suggestions on my concerns such as wanting to look more professional and I went with it and she gave me a really clean style that is easy to fix, which she taught me how to do. I looked through pictures of other men's haircuts they have done before and all of them look clean and styled very well. I booked my appointment for the next month since she expressed how important it is to keep up with my cuts and I will be gladly coming back as a regular client! Thanks girls! read more

I have to say....after 15 years with my hairdresser I was terrified to get my hair cut by someone else. I have to also admit that I was nervous when I sat in Cindy's chair and watch her snip every strand of my hair away!! So when I got home I examined my hair from all sides and I have to say I like what I see and I was nervous for nothing. Cindy heard me when I said I wanted to keep my length yet wanted my hair to feel lighter. When she got to my bangs and asked which side do i part, I told her both sides depending on how I feel that day. She cut my bangs in a way that I was able to do so. While Cindy was flipping my bangs left to right and right to left it did not look lop sided at all. I think I actually said I was like magic lol. I've been going to Salon Mia Bella for about 2 yrs now. I LOVE them. Janet is the one I ask for all the time and she never let's me down. It's such a cool environment everyone's real chill and they don't pressure you to get more then what you need like some other places do. Don't listen to that last review if that girl was happy with her hair when she left and she didn't notice til she got home that it was choppy then that's her fault. That's why you look at your hair from all angles before you leave to make sure it's perfect shoooooot your spending how much for a haircut you better be pleased with the haircut before you leave !!! The ladies at the shop would have fixed it so it wouldn't be an issue so it's the girls fault not the stylists ! It's def. worth it for any one to try this salon out. =) read more

I went there on a fluke being new to the area I didn't have a hairstylist. I scheduled an appointment and was able to get in that same week. My stylist was Gina, and she will be doing my hair for life! She took time with me to make sure we were doing exactly what would work best for my hair and look best and most importantly i could manage after leaving there! Everyone there was very accommodating and Gina was very personable. I went back later to get my brows done and omg!!!! She should do brows for the stars. I almost don't want to put the word out because I'll never get an appointment now! Mia Bella is an outstanding salon that cuts great hair. I have been attended by three stylists; each cut great hair in a fast yet thorough fashion. Their stylists are completely warm, friendly, professional, and competent. As the CEO of a firm which services Fortune 5 clients, image is critical and they do a great job in accordance with that. I was recommended to Mia Bella by a friend that absolutely loves this place. I decided to try it out. Cindy was my stylist. I got high lights, color, and a hair cut and I absolutely LOVE IT. She also educated me on how to style my hair afterwards. She told me that I had natural curly hair, which I never knew. She showed me how to bring out my curls and wear it differently. The interior of the Hair Illusions salon has a neat and tidy atmosphere with vibey 80s music filling the background, and of course the wonderful owner and stylist Linda Pastor. I was extremely nervous about trying out a new salon to get my keratin treatment done, but luckily through yelp Linda was absolutely amazing at communicating with me about any questions or concerns I had as well as even giving me a price estimate to expect at the end of our appointment. While getting the treatment done I could tell Linda was taking her time with my hair, as well as giving me advice as to how to go about maintaining my hair post treatment. She also has products available at the shop to purchase if you're interested in getting hair items the day of, which I thought was so nice and convenient! I cannot recommend the Hair Illusions salon and working with Linda more to those looking for a place to get their hair done amazingly at a great cost!

When my wife reminded her about the cash price she quoted over the phone, she claimed it was because our daughter's hair was longer...even though my wife had already explained the length when booking. Both times I did a walk in and had Ken cut my hair…read more The standard haircut is $45 for ladies and if you wanted a wash it would be $65, all before tip. The first time I had my hair cut, it was okay. I think it was a little hectic because it was during lunar new year so they were packed. The second time, it was easier. I did not have to wait when I came in around noon on a Monday. I had my hair washed this time and it was very relaxing. Ken did not speak much English and only spoke Mandarin so it was a little hard to communicate with him. The other stylists cutting hair were trying to help him communicate with me since I only spoke English and some Cantonese. I ended up looking up photos of what I wanted for my hair while he blew dry it. I asked for a more simple haircut, layers and a V shaped for the end. I noticed most of the stylist asks for a photo of what the client wants for their hair, so word of advice, bring multiple photos of what you are looking for. They will try their best to match the photo of what you want. Ken took a lot of time on my hair and I could tell he has a passion for it. I felt like he actually cared what the aftermath looked like. He cut and then styled the hair and took a photo of it for me to see afterwards. I appreciated the time he took and I really liked the look afterwards. FYI, parking can be a little tough on the Main Street. You can always park on the side or down towards the shops for ease. Overall, I'd come back again to get my haircut. It is convenient and reliable for simple haircuts and the price is very reasonable. Thanks Ken!

Stylist Max is not just friendly and talented, he is well-read, thoughtful, and perceptive. You know how sometimes you dread the drivel you have to endure when you get your hair done?
