I went to the salon in Belt Line and Caleb cut my hair and it was amazing, just the way I wanted...I loved the result

I reserved my spot online prior to arrival. Once getting there I was next and only had to wait 30 seconds! Quick service! I'm growing my hair out to donate it and only needed to cut the split ends. My hairdresser did exactly what i wanted! She saved my length and cut the dry pieces!!! My hairdresser was fun, talkative, and dancy! I was there for such a short time, but had a great experience. The only negative i would say is that the place has so many hair clippings stuck everywhere! When i was logging in the screen had a ton of hair clippings. The desk in front of my seat had a ton of clippings covering it. I don't mind it, and it seems obvious that it would happen. This is just for someone who would care about something like this. The location is great because it's in the hot spot in Addison, and there is plenty of free parking! My experience was great! I will come back for the big one-the one where i will cut my hair to donate! read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had in the salon at this great clips. Her name was Chloe and she was an extremely angry, frustrated woman who was clearly upset before I sat down just for a hair wash. After she made me wait 25 minutes even though I checked in and was waiting in line, she proceeds to begin, washing my hair with one hand with ice cold water. I asked her not to put conditioner on my scalp as it gets greasy. The hair on the side of my head wasn't even wet. Neither was my hair underneath my scalp at the bottom. When I asked her to re-shampoo it because it was still dry, she said that would be an extra charge. At this point. I said I don't care. She then proceeded to get a big glob of conditioner and put it directly on my head. Straight onto my scalp. She was nonplussed and couldn't have cared less. She was mean and hateful to me. I do not recommend going to this business AT ALL. read more

Walked in after checking in on-line and was immediately taken back by the aggressive "I am too busy to talk to you" type from the lady who we obviously inconvenienced by walking in after checking in on line wanting a hair cut. She raised her voice and aggressively asked who we were and she didn't see anyone on her check in list. The gentle man with the awesome green hair wanted to wait in ya but the lady "aggressively" TOLD him to go back to what he was doing. Amazing. It's Veterans Day today. And I am a combat veteran and still serving going on 13 years. Tia the barber cut my hair and missed a spot and had a rude attitude. I told her she had a bad attitude and I'll just fix it myself... she she got offended I called her rude which she was. She called me a idiot below her breath and I'm like what I heard you. I called her manager Jessie and she was nice and apologized and offered another free haircut. Tia needs to be fired for customers are always right and she shouldn't call anyone a idiot especially on Veterans Day. I would go to another great clips. I love how clean and "new" this place looks compared to the other GC's. I've been coming to this location for almost 5 years. I will only come see Enrique, because I feel like he is the best. I have been in here to see some of the other ladies before getting Enrique and I don't feel like I got the care and treatment that most stylists give their clients when they come in for a cut or style. I had one lady (don't know her name) she seemed okay. Didn't talk much when I tried to converse and seemed annoyed at what I asked, which is just a basic trim and a face framing. Anyhow, Enrique is the best, he takes his time and will do what you ask and tell you his honest opinion. He's super friendly! read more

I went in to get hair cut and Nancy was assigned to me to cut my hair. It hair cut only took 10 minutes. Literally. Overall experience was never good, I actually thought she never learn how to cut hair. I told her how I wanted my hair to be done and even in the middle of cutting my hair, I gave more instruction. All of them was taken lightly by her. She never took my request seriously and went ahead with her own perspective of my request. She pulled my hair very hard that it hurts my scalp. Also, while she's making a conversation with me, she would hit my arm. She tried to be nice and everything but little did she know that she hit me too hard for a friendly gesture. Hair cut like this cost me $14 (excluding tips). I can get it for $5 (tips included) in some Chinatown. It's not the level of service I expected. Very not recommended. read more

Sabrina did an AMAZING job on my hair. She truthfully gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had (and trust me, I've had a lot - from both chop shops like Great Clips and professional salons like T & G). She kept my layers long, framed my face perfectly, and even showed me all the spots where the last hair dresser messed up. Sabrina also gave me some really good product recommendations for my hair type, and took the time to double-check her work when she was finished to make sure everything turned out perfect. I will never go to another Great Clips again so long as Sabrina works at this one, and, if she ever leaves, I'm going with her. No joke. The other woman who cut my husband's hair (I think her name was Darlene) did an OK job, but could have done better. She left it somewhat longer than we wanted, and it looked a bit choppy on the sides. If Sabrina is there tonight, we're probably going to go back and see if she can fix it up a bit. (Update - 05/01/15) Sabrina is now the only person my husband uses too. I think it's fair to say that I'm very picky about my hubby's hair, and she does it perfectly every time. Extremely disappointed with the service I received. Tia basically argued with me about the way I was getting my haircut, saying it was not what was in the notes (prior haircut). I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. She rushed through and didn't do a good job. There were hairs left around my ear and she did not fade my sideburns. She didn't clean up the top and by this point I was over it. Tia didn't offer to clean up afterwards or add product. The staff is completely unprofessional and the receptionist I can say acts her age (childish). Do not come here for any reason and go to the Sports Clips nearby. read more

I would not recommend this place to be honest. I have gone twice and have had mixed reviews. The first time I went one of the ladies cut my hair and did a pretty nice job (I get a fade and have them go from a 1/2 to a 3 and 1/2, standard guy haircut). It wasn't anything special but she cut my hair right. The last time I went was terrible. I was greeted by a girl who sat me down and asked what I wanted. When I told her, she walked away and a different girl came out and moved me to a different chair (I guess the first girl didn't know how to cut a fade?). I told her what I wanted and she didn't think my hair was long enough for a 3 and 1/2 on top so she ran the clippers through my hair with the bit on it, but did not turn on the clippers. As the clippers yanked out my hair, she figured out that my hair was more than long enough. After cutting my hair the first time, I found that there were several spots that were very uneven and it looked patchy. She said she noticed it but didn't do anything about it until I saw it (did she just want to see if she could get away with me not noticing?). She cleaned it up a bit more and when she was done the haircut looked ok at best. I used to cut my hair on a regular basis and what she did was at the level of what I could have done on my own. I go to a place to get a great cut, not just something that I could do at home. I would not recommend this place. After 2 times there I won't be going back for a 3rd. Good thing hair grows back and I can get this redone somewhere else afterwards. read more

When he started looking like a girl, I took my teenage son here for a haircut and when we left, he had locks that had been missed. They were one-three inches longer than the other hair next to them! When he got in the car, he ran his hands through his hair and handfuls of cut hair fell out. Apparently, they didn't comb his hair while or after cutting it. I've never seen such a thing! It was horrible. We went right back in to have it redone and they played it off like all haircuts have handfuls of loose cut hair left in them (as a cook, I'd estimate about 1.5 cups of hair). Treated extremely poorly by hairdresser. Asked for shampoo & blowout, asked if it could be quick politely. She told me to hang my coat by front door, I declined, said I would be keeping it w me. I used rest room while she heated water for shampoo; when I came out of restroom, she ordered me to get my coat off her work station. I moved the coat and sat in shampoo area ten minutes while she messed around in some caninet. She proceeded to wash my hair,barely. Then, after starting to dry my hair she told me to take out my earrings, which were very tiny diamond hoops, I said No thanks I did not want to take them out; she then told me she could not proceed!! I tried to pay anyway, when another stylist followed me out to my car and threw the cash back in my car window. Lovely ! This was Christmas Eve. Never ever go here unless you want to be treated poorly. No desire to create an atmosphere of customer service. read more

Check in two of my nephews to get a haircut. Bethany came up to the counter and called out a Donald that was already being assisted then she announced my 4 year old nephews name. Once she realized that he was a little kid she made a nasty expression like she didn't want to cut his hair. She took about 3 minutes to "cut" his hair. She didn't even bother brushing his hair nor wiped the bit amount of hair she cut off that was all over his face. This was one of the worst experiences in a salon that I have ever had. First, there were only 2 stylists on a Saturday. There were a few other customers before me and the woman stylist finished every one of them while the man was working on 1 person. I was next to be served and the phone rang. The woman answered it and went to the back for several minutes while I was STILL waiting and waiting. In the meantime, the man stylist was still working on the same man. When the woman came back, she ignored me and checked in another customer who had come in while she was in the back and then proceeded to do his hair instead of mine. So, I was stuck with the slowest stylist in history.I should have spoken up, but I didn't. Well, my haircut is absolutely the worst I have ever had and he was taking so long that I felt like screaming! Never, never, never go to this place! Walked in, got acknowledged and was told by both women (they were cutting hair at the moment) that they'll be with me shortly. That was 9:14 and I was behind two other patrons. I'm in the military so I like my hair to be cut a certain way most commonly referred to as a "fade". Short on the sides FADING up to the top, no more than a quarter inch long. Normally it would take 20 minutes to get a haircut. It's not that difficult. Should have known better than to go to a "chop shop". The initial price sounded like a good deal $14, but after 40 minutes of trying to convince the guy of what I wanted I got tired so I paid and left and found a barber. I GLADLY paid $20 to have my hair recut to my liking. Additionally, the "stylist" that butchered my hair kept "accidently" bumping his crotch into my arms as he was twirling around my chair asking a lot of personal questions. Which made the 40 minute haircut very uncomfortable and nauseating. After being subjected to that kind of treatment and seeing a very masculine transvestite working there, it's hard to believe that parents would want to take their children in to get their hair massacred by that GC. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A PROFESSIONAL. read more

A decent haircut... will work for me. I'm not very picky. Problem I have is the price. This is going to sound odd... but I've never tipped people to give a haircut. It doesn't make any sense to me. Charge the fee that you want to charge, and don't expect more than that. Restaurants should do the same, but especially hair salons. Great Clips charges $14 for a guy's haircut (mind you, that's without a shampoo before hand, which I got for $16 in Georgia). But I'm not complaining about the haircut. So if they would have charged me $20, I would have paid it (that would have been $5 cheaper than other salons in the area), and it would have given the stylist $6 extra dollars and he wouldn't have to worry about people giving tips. Probably won't go back, as I'm not a fan of strip-mall salons like this. I'm used to a more homely atmosphere, not so professional... warmer. (Since I'm from Georgia... The stylist that was doing my 4 year old daughters hair quit working at Great Clips. Went back to have it done by someone else and they completely messed it up. I had to ask another stylist to make it better and she helped it a little. Now we will be waiting about a month for a bad Inverted-bob haircut to grow out, then go somewhere else to get it fixed. read more

I went in there to get my hair cut last saterday, tere was only one stylist and I waited about 20 minutes for her to finsh with the cut she was doing n a nother customer. When I got in her chair and told her I want my hair feathered she looked at me like I was from another planet, so I asked her Do you know ho w the cut feathered hair and she said NO, so I got up out of the chair and said no thank and went down the street to another salon that could cut my hair the way I wanted it.
