I called three of my usual haircut places and couldn't get in the same day. I walked into great cuts on a whim and was seen quite quickly. I gave a vague idea of what I wanted - four or five inches off - and trusted the process. Ten minutes later and I had the cutest haircut ever. I am quite literally in love with my reflection. And not to mention it was $18. I haven't had an $18 haircut since I was 6. Very disappointed with this place. Came in for a haircut and after a short discussion was convinced they could do my roots. Well 3 hours later I have no hair. Should have just left after the haircut. Now I have lost my long blonde hair and am left with a buzz cut. I am so mad and disappointed. Feel ashamed that I put my trust in someone who is supposed to be a licensed professional. Vivian at Great Cuts is absolutely the best ever. She cuts and colors my hair every two weeks and makes me look Great and I believe years younger. Vivian has years of experience and has such a nice happy personality. I would highly recommend getting your next cut by Vivian. I promise you will never change your hair stylist again. I absolutely love this place! The staff is very friendly and very professional. Jenny is the absolute BEST! She takes her time with each of her customers to make sure the outcome exceeds all expectations! She's very experienced and she always creates a nice and comfortable atmosphere to be in. Me and my fiancé just moved to town and we have both had our hair done here and absolutely love it! I dont trust just anyone with my hair either! I had never had my hair bleached or anything but I went ahead and asked Jenny to put in some highlights and she did not disappoint. It's affordable and it is also the best experience I have ever had! I moved to Dallas from AZ, and couldn't get to see my hairdresser before I left. I was in desperate need of a root touch up (brown into platinum blonde) and the undercut that I've been growing out needed to be bleached out to match my hair as well. I was searching for hair salons but I was nervous to try one as blonde can be difficult and my hair is being lightening from a box dye base. My boyfriend was actually driving by when he saw this place and mentioned it to me. After searching through tons of other salons I figured I would call and talk to them about pricing and availability since it was so close to where we're staying. When I called Jenny answered the phone and told me they did do all over highlights but she would need to see my hair before quoting a price (very fair) she told me I could stop by any time that day. I stopped in around 2pm, it was Jenny and another women doing services. She looked at my hair, quoted me a price that I thought was very fair (I don't like to post pricing as it varies and I don't believe it's fair for someone to go in and say "well I saw so and so got it for this price", remember everyone is different and this is how they pay their bills!). She asked me to wait while she finished up her previous appointment and I agreed. They have a little waiting section in the back that has a nice lounge couch and a coffee table. She had another client come in for an appointment time, she immediately explained to me she hadn't realized what time it was but if I could wait an extra 30min she would give me a discount on my services. I agreed as I had nothing else to do that day and didn't mind waiting. I never felt like I was forgotten about or being ignored, she kept me posted about timelines through out my wait. She was very prompt and started my hair when she said she would. Let me tell you, some hairstylists aren't very chatty and that's fine, some are too chatty and it just depends on your own personality. Jenny was a BLAST! I loved talking with her, she asked me about myself and had stories of her own that related to mine. She was an absolute delight to be around and I found myself laughing and having a great time while my hair was being done. She was speedy at applying my all over highlights, which impressed me as I have fine hair but a lot of hair that's also very long and can be difficult to work with. She toned it to match the rest of my blonde and gave me very good advice on even better ways to care for it! She's been doing hair for 18-20 years and was very helpful and knowledgeable. Now, I'm not sure if I'm just used to where I'm from but she blow dried my hair out after dying (not something that always happens in AZ) and proceeded to style it for me (something that usually comes with an extra sneaky charge) she began to flat iron it and asked me if that's what I usually did, I do not as my hair dries pin straight just from air drying alone. I mentioned in passing that I loved my hair curled but very rarely did it (literally maybe 1-2 times a year) because it took me so long to do it just wasn't usually worth it. She immediately turned on her curling iron and started to curl my hair for me, which was a small gesture but to me it really showed that she listens to her clients and does her best to accommodate! After all was said and done she reiterated the price that she originally quoted me (including the discount offered, I was worried it might be forgotten). This review is very long and as this happened a couple days ago and I haven't had a chance to write this until now I'm sure there are other details I wanted to rave about that I've missed, but overall I 100% recommend Great Cuts and Jenny herself! My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, so not the easiest to style but they always do so good I get asked who my stylist is I also bring my twin 6 year olds and have been for years. Beware of this place. First off it's not clean and messy. I'm not sure if the are keeping up with sanitation?? I went to get my hair done with Vivien and she did not do anything I wanted. It was my first time with Vivien so I brought a picture of what I wanted exactly. I asked for a lighter color and blonde highlights. She made my hair dark brown and scattered random highlights that looked uneven. I tried to insist this is not what I wanted but she said the color will change after a few washes. Still confused I decided maybe I will wash it and see but nothing changed. I then contacted her to let her know that I was disappointed and if there is anything else she could do. Vivien never responded and totally disregarded my text. I'm not sure if she understands English and maybe that's why she made my hair darker but still doesn't explain it when I showed her the picture. Viven also quoted me a price on the phone and when I got there decided she will charge me more. I would gladly pay if she actually did what I wanted. Instead Viven didn't care about her customer nor did she want to help fix the situation. I would have been a loyal customer. She was extremely unprofessional and obviously does not know how to do hair. What's worse is that my hair is damaged from the chemicals she used so now I have to wait to fix my hair. Extremely difficult to take dark hair dye out of your hair. Definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It is a place where you can take one month month if there are at least 3 people and always leave all people with bad cuts or very extravagant (but bad) and they always seem very friendly but they can always answer you ugly. It happened to me that I was there more than 1 waiting and there were only two people and two people arrived after me and they made them pass first and I was waiting almost 2 hours and it bothered me and I left because it is a lousy customer service . I had made an appointment for a national chain, drove up the DNT service road, happened upon some huge traffic stoppage, took a detour and went back to this shopping center, where there was another national chain that I had been to before but I really didn't have much enthusiasm for. I decided to go up to where Fantastic Sam's used to be and see if another barber shop / hair salon had moved in. I believe God may have had something to do with this. The window said Mens Haircuts $12.50. That's cheap for these days. I like cheap. I went in for the cheap haircut. It's a typical storefront hair salon. Nothing was special until I met Jenny. Jenny is awesome. She's very nice and friendly, too. She brought me to her chair and she asked me how I wanted it cut, and I told her accordingly. Then she asked me if I wanted to do anything about the color. I forgot that someone I know had decided that I would be much handsomer if I let her take some of her hair dye and dye my gray temples, and I let her, which led her to believe it was fine to smear her hair dye over my entire head, which didn't need hair dye in the first place. I told Jenny it was fine, it had been like that for two months, and it didn't bother me, and Jenny's like mmmmmkay....and Jenny started cutting, and as she cut off the top of my hair she revealed the nice, modern four-tone brown silver orange and copper colors of my hair and I said OHMYGODI'VEBEENGOINGAROUNDLIKETHISFORTWOFREAKINGMONTHS. So Jenny dyed my hair, the first professional hair dye job of my life, and hopefully my last, if I can keep the dye gremlin away from my hair. It's a good dye job, if I know my dye jobs, which obviously I don't since I was completely oblivious to the hair dyesaster that ocurred two months previous. Jenny also gave me a great cut, she put pomade and hair spray in my hair (I guess it was pomade, what do I know about pomade, I know it came in a little jar like in Oh Brother Where Art Thou) and it looks great. She told me it was the best haircut ever and I believe her because Jenny is awesome. Oh and Jenny gives the best shampoo head massage you will ever have. This place is not a good place at all .They change the stylists so often, and me and my family can not relay on this salon. I think the manager does not know any thing about this business at all ,and she could not speak English very well and i saw as a client how she ( Phounge the manager ) bosses around and embarrass the hairstylists in front of every one. This place was so warm and she did not turn on the AC ,even though the hairstylist asked her ( Phounge the manager )twice or more and I asked her as client to turn on the AC too, but she did not pay attention at all. I am sure %100 that she ( Phoune the manager ) does not know how to keep the hairstylist for a long time.
