I have been so disappointed from one salon to another. A lot of it has been the stylist doesn't listen to me and what "I" want, takes too much off, uneven or not doing it correctly but after receiving a cut and from Parris Baarstad and being extremely happy, I have used her every since and I will not use anyone else again! Dawn asked how he wanted it and I explained how he liked it, but since the last person that cut it really messed it up, I figured we would have to cut it all off and start new. Maybe things have gotten better here than they were, because I've come here several times since moving to Corvallis six months ago, and I love the convenience, the service, the quality of the haircut and the friendly staff. The phone app lets me check in when I leave my house, so there's barely a wait when I get there. They always greet me the moment I walk in the door, so I know that they know I am there and waiting. Admittedly, I am a guy with short hair, so it's hard to screw up my haircuts, but still, I always walk out feeling and looking good. New to the area, but not new to Great Clips. Worth the drive from our house in Monroe to Corvallis since I have used Great Clips before in southern California. I got there in the middle of the afternoon, and was the only one there. Meghan cut my hair and was great. Nice conversation, and was nice to let me know where to go to fish in the area. She had recently been crab fishing at the pier in Newport. We haven't been there yet, but we will go mainly due to her recommendation. I will also be back to this Great Clips because of her. I have never left a review on a hair Solon. But I feel I must warn others. This by far has been the worst hair cut I have ever paid for. My hair, after two weeks, is still such a disaster it looks like it is falling out. You can literally see where in some areas it is cut to my skull. In other areas there is about an inch or so. They didn't even get my hair wet first. When you have wavy hair, that's essential to making sure its an even cut. They didn't part it down the middle first, and she took off THREE INCHES for a trim. She wasn't paying attention and with the clippers took off way way too much hair and with the fade much too high. Overall, I can't complain. You get a reasonable cut, at a low price. A lot of the outcome depends on which gal is cutting your hair. Sometimes you get a woman who is careful, takes her time, and pays attention. Sometimes, you get a woman who seems more interested in getting you in and out and on to the next patron (or a smoke break). There seems to be significant turnover in stylists too, so how you look walking out of the shop is a bit of a crap shoot. But honestly, it's a $13 hair cut. What do you expect for $13? A $13 hair cut is not going to look like, nor feel like, a $75 hair cut. It's like going to a chain restaurant and complaining that you didn't get a gourmet meal with exceptional service. If you're eating at Sharis, don't expect it to feel like or taste like a dining experience at a swanky New York bistro. I've had good luck with wait times too, but I have the flexibility to stop by on a weekday morning. No idea what wait times are after work or on weekends. The staff are friendly over all - I've never felt mistreated by any of them anyway. To sum up, it's a cheap haircut, so as long as you have a reasonable expectation of what you're getting, you will be satisfied. It's not great (pun intended), and it's not terrible either. Just got my undercut with angle design done by Andi and i could not be more pleased! This was new for both of us but she was eager and very considerate. Honestly I was nervous about getting an undercut done because sometimes when you go into places and tell them how much you want trimmed they take off more than you expected, not her. Through the whole process she worked slowly, reassuring me we could take off more if I so desired, and kept checking to make sure it was what I wanted, I felt so comfortable in her hands.
