Went twice and also another time when my sister got a haircut. Instead of giving advice to help improve your hair if it has problems they are all rude. They don't know how to cut. Even though its cheap you should still get a decent hair cut. I wanted one inch cut off the bottom and she cut 3!! I've been trying to get my hair longer while doing my trims to stay healthy and she ruined my hair. I would never recommend this place. Ever. read more

My wife and 13 yr old just had a terrible experience at this store - the stylist was young and inexperienced, but at least she was civil, but the manager (Daniel) was downright rude the entire time. It's almost unbelievable what came out of his mouth 100% completely unprovoked, and how a guy like this becomes manager- doesn't that position require people skills? For my daughter to witness such a jerk in action is unfortunate, but a good teaching moment for sure. Too many good competitors to deal with this. read more

This visit was tuesday april 1. I dont know why i keep going here. Oh yeah its for my 10 year old son. No biggie they can handle that, im sure of it. Two hair cutters on duty and both are busy no problem. One finishes and takes the person before me. Oh good im next. The second one finishes and she is cleaning up. Great im next!! Cool she is almost done cleaning up. Excited to get my sons hair cut and outta there. Yay!! Wait what is she doing?! She is leaving! What?! Another hair cutter comes on and she is talking to someone. Geez should i say something? They are still talking. Oh wait the other hair cutter is done. Now she is talking. They are both talking to this guy. Omg where is the sense of urgency? Customer service? Am i at their mercy and schedule? Who is the paying customer?! Ladies i am sorry to have inconvenienced you. Just do me a favor and let me know ahead of time that its an inconvenience and i will take my business elsewhere before i wait 15 minutes and then have to sit there while you socialize. Terrible. The manager wouldn't let my toddler sit with me or near me. Instead, he was expected to remain unsupervised in the lobby. That's obviously unsafe, so we left. On our way out, my children tried to grab a lollipop with my permission (they had behaved for the time we were there, which was our deal...). He literally said, "Shoo! Shoo!" and waved his hand to shoo my children away from the lollipop bucket and out the door. read more

Went once, had a good, quick haircut (I'm a mid-aged dude with a business cut, not that hard.) Satisfied customer. That's why they get the second star. Went the second time on a Thurs afternoon, with two stylists working (not the guy from my first time.) Only two other customers waiting. Both stylists were busy, so I took a seat and started diddling with my phone. One stylist finished, got the next customer. No prob, one person ahead of me. The second stylist finished, then spent several minutes admiring photos on the phone of the just-finished customer, which was annoying, but I'm up next, right? No. A new customer walked in at the time the second stylist was finishing admiring photos, then that new customer's info was taken down into the computer, then the new customer was being invited to have a seat. I'm still sitting there. I asked, "Hey, what about me?!" This moron stylist had the nerve to say, "Oh, I didn't see you! Aren't you clocked in?" No, moron, there is no sign telling me to stand in front of the desk hoping to catch your eye so you can take down my phone number and "clock me in." You must be so proud of your computer skills, to actually enter a phone number and a name and save it! Wheee! I walked out and will never go back. read more

Totally hit or miss. Some cutters are good. My last was so bad that another Great Clips gave me a redo (freebie) when they saw my haircut. It wasn't busy but I was catapulted through and when my hair dried, I looked like a bad lawnmower job. read more

Occasionally I procrastinate, forget, or just flat run out of time and have to go to one of these chains as a last resort instead of going to a barber. I have 2 boys and their hair grows pretty fast. One has hair that is pretty easy to cut. The other one, well it's a bit of a challenge. I can say for sure that each time we visit one of these places, their hair cuts are hardly ever the same even though they have the way I've asked them to cut it in the computer. Occasionally you will find a stylist at one of them who knows their stuff and does a great job. Only to return there 2 weeks later to find they no longer work there, darn the luck. Anyways, I'm not going to complain too much. We get in, we get out pretty quickly. You can check-in on your phone using the app whereever you maybe so that you are not having to wait at the actual place too long if they are busy. The app tells you how much time you have to get there which is very helpful. All in all, I'll just say its OK. read more

They always have new staffs everytime. I see different people cut differently. I would better stay away from this place. Now I need to find a better salon in Austin. I won't be going here anyway. For me I feel like they are bringing all temporary staffs and they are not doing a good job here. You will never see the same staff again. Stay away from the Indian lady with the scissors! She will scalp you! Every time I go in for a trim, she shaves my head with a no guard buzzer. Makes my head look like it has a ringworm infection! Also I have long hair. She will grab my bun and say "what are we going to do about this today?". So stay away! read more

Find your cosmetologist, stick with them, you'll be happy! I always call ahead so I don't have to wait so long, especially on Saturdays. Great clips gets me in and out quickly, and I'm always happy with my trim. Continuity is the key to hair cuts. They're convenient to my house and work. I've been to lots of other places over the years, I like Great Clips the best. read more

I had one of the best and worst experiences here last week! I came in for a re-do with a wonderful young lady (I didn't catch her name), and she was more than welcoming! I had come in a week before and wasn't satisfied with the hair cut, and she didn't hesitate to give me what I originally wanted. Half way into the hair cut, another hair dresser comes in and starts asking my hair dresser why I was getting a re-do? My hair dresser didn't answer her and stayed very professional. This other hair dresser, I believe her name is Celine, kept badgering my hair dresser on why she was doing it. She then started talking about me to her right in front of me! Celine was saying how she had been there on my first hair cut and that I had asked for exactly what I got, that I should be charged fully for a whole new hair cut because I had "changed my mind." INSANELY RUDE to be talking about a client RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. She was so unprofessional, and she then asked me, "Wasn't that what you asked for? You should be charged for a whole new hair cut because you got what you had asked for." I was so embarrassed and I had never experienced anything like it. The nice young lady who did my re-do is the only reason I would ever go back to this location! She was so professional and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Celine has for sure been the worst customer service I have ever received, and she was one of the rudest people I've ever had to encounter. read more

NEVER NEVER NEVER GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!! I went in to get my haircut, after not having it cut for more than 6mos (b/c my girl moved and I was scared to try anyone new) I decided to go with a simple cut that I figured couldn't mess up my hair too badly. Long layers with side swept bangs. The layers came out fine, however, I asked for SIDE SWEPT bangs that started just below my eyebrows. Instead of starting at the SIDE, she parted my hair almost down the middle and cut my bangs starting at the part above my eyebrows. She cut straight across then jumped down to another length and cut the rest. There was NO angle or slope to my half face bangs. She didn't even cut the hair on the other side. So I ended up with bangs straight across above my eyebrows, and then hair that was suppose to be part of my bangs about to my ear on the left side- then on the right side of my face I had "bangs" to my chin where she didn't even include that hair in the haircut. I strongly advise against trying to go cheap on a haircut (at least to this place)---I guess you get what you pay for. read more
