Came in today to get my stepdad a clean face shave. It's too hot for hair right now. And Great Clips is the place to go for great service and great prices. This is our first time at this location. And like I said before we love Great Clips. We have never had a bad experience at any location. Today Ms. Jessica shaved my Dad. She was a delight. My Dad came out looking 20 years younger. She did an awesome job. Thanks Ms. Jessica read more

Understaffed and the female hairdresser (Nikki) obviously does not like working there. She did not do what my kid and i asked and at the end she argued with us saying we asked for something different. She was complaining about working until 1pm that day, obviously upset. Barely replied to any conversation we tried to do and eventually left with a bad haircut. whatever we said she argued back. Great clips need to re-evaluate who they hire and what they are doing... read more

Unless your deep into debt or broke don't go here. They do not know how to cut hair and don't listen to anything you say put your money into a different business because this place will take your money and smile on your face. read more

I've been using Great Clips for years and it's relatively cheap and good for getting a basic dude haircut. Not only is it no longer that cheap but I encountered a "stylist" today that didn't even know how to cut hair. I won't use this location again and will probably find a real barber shop from now on. 1 star because she was friendly as she butchered my hair. read more

Got a good haircut here, friendly staff. Ill definitely be back. If you park in the garage, they will validate you which is cool. Not much more to say! read more

Great haircuts, friendly staff. I have hat my haircut for years here. The other part that's great is that they get free parking. Nothing is worse than having to pay for parking AND your haircut. Not here. I also always also check in using their app. Do that whe you leave the house so you don't have to wait when you get there. read more

Great Clips - Hair Salons Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I walked in to get a haircut today. Not very busy. One stylist working on someone no big deal. She came over, Chubby redhead girl, asked if I wanted a haircut. What a dumb way to greet someone that came into a hair salon. Didn't like that she little bit attitude. Most of women working at great clips do. Never seen a happy female employee at a great clips. Won't be back read more

Times are tough, money is tight. So why not give Great Clips a chance to just give me a trim, right? I walked in on a Thursday night at 7pm to find 4 people waiting in line-I will take that as a good sign. Two hairdressers were working and greeted me when I walked in the door and told me that they would be with me shortly. Pros: pleasant service, easy location to get to, $14 haircut Cons: Although the hairdresser swept after the person whose hair he cut before mine, I still had to step over a pile of hair. Ewww- but for $14 I will stop my diva ways In a pinch this drive-thru hair place will be A-ok with me. read more

Horrible customer service! I walked in with my 71 year old mother that cannot wash her hair any more, and I asked for a shampoo and blow dry.... No styling, or products, or cut. The woman that waited on me had an attitude from the start. She was extremely rude. There was a SIGN above her that said shampoo - $5, and she proceeded to act like what I asked for nobody does. All I wanted was her to get mom's hair washed and blown dry- no styling and I made it clear - no cut or styling- I just did not want her walking out of the place with dripping wet hair. She said with styling and the length of my mom's hair it would be $25. Again, I said I just wanted it washed. She said it would be $25. I walked out. The Edgewood Great Clips does this EVERY WEEK for my mother for $4 and I pay the stylist $10 (over 100% tip) without any issues. Never will I try this location again. read more

Stylists are more interested in getting the job completed quickly than putting in any quality. This was probably the quickest haircut I've ever had. Stylist used little care or concern in what I wanted. I was not asked how I wanted my sideburns, if I wanted square or rounded in the back and never used a brush to remove the hair clippings (rather fanned my head with a blow dryer a couple times and called it good). As with anything, people have bad days. However, I don't plan to give this place a second chance. read more

Place is clean, staff is friendly, and the prices are great. For the men out there, ask to get a haircut from Robert. He's an older gentlemen, very nice. And he gives one of the best haircuts I've ever had. This is my go-to spot for hair when I'm in Atlanta, and I'll be coming back. read more

I've been getting my hair cut at this location since 2003 and in that time I have moved all over the metro area, but still find myself coming back to Decatur to get my haircut. All of the stylists are great. I like Robert, but he is hearing impaired and sometimes can't hear instructions. He also takes forever! But this is still a great Great Clips. read more

Yeah I think this place is rank. It was really dirty. There was hair all over the scissors and the combs. I think she used one of the dirty scissors to cut my hair. The place gave me the creeps. Go across the street to Maxim they are clean and you will get a great haircut. I guess if the quality or consistency of your hair cut doesn't mean that much to you and you don't mind possibly getting lice, go ahead and get a haircut there. read more

Horrible customer service from rude, "I don't know anything, even though I somehow managed to get a job here", kind of people, over the phone, which shouldn't be too difficult for any civilized, half competent adult. Particularly, during the age of COVID, most people with half a brain and some common sense are trying to be as safe as they possibly can, especially if they are high risk. With this in mind, I called to find out what their procedures are and how many people were allowed to be inside the salon at one time, since getting a haircut is as close contact as it gets. Not only did I speak to someone who told me there were 8 people waiting inside, but when I asked if there was someone in particular I should ask for because my hair does have special needs due to a condition, even after describing in detail, she claimed to not know anything several times, because she was just hired. Common Sense 101 tells you, if you are new and don't know sh*t, find someone who does! So then I call back, to at least find out historically speaking, if there's a less crowded day or time to come. Once again, she claims not to know anything and that she couldn't tell me, so I ask if there's anyone there I could speak to, who has worked there for some time. She then proceeds to hand me to another woman who's even more rude and had only worked there since Jan of COVID 2020 year! Apparently, she had the most seniority? Unbelievable! Where do you people hire your employees from? Cause you need to quit while you're ahead. What ever happened to customer service with some empathy during these difficult times? That's the main problem is the lack of customer service and empathy in most customer service industries. Needless to say, I will not be bothering with this "business" and I'll make sure everyone I know or anyone who will listen, won't waste their time or money there. BUSINESSES BEWARE: The public is starting to wake up and realize the importance of where they put their money, because that is directly supports their beliefs and what they stand for. Businesses with lazy, rude, uneducated people with lack of true customer service, will pay the price. Do better when hiring, expect more from your employees and you will see that come back to you through people willing to support your business, especially during challenging times. Owner FYI - This experience happened today with two women, one younger and one older. The younger one had been working there for less than a month, while the older one started working at that location in Jan of 2020. Although I did not get theirs names, it shouldn't take a genius to figure out who cost your business and YOU, a half a point on your Yelp reviews. read more

I sent my husband to Great Clips in Decatur when he expressed a desire to get his hair cut without breaking the bank and to give him a break from doing it himself. The location is very easy to get to and they do have validated parking right next door which is a must for Decatur. I started to go when I saw that they shampoo hair starting at $5. I decided to try it for myself as my natural hair is thick and shampoo days can take up a lot of time. Our family vouches for our stylist, Alice located at this salon. She is a delight, always efficient, friendly, polite with great service. After my first experience I decided to make this a regular routine. My hair loves Alice! It is a real treat for me and my husband and no matter when we go when she is working, we never have a long wait ( though she is very popular). We never have to loose the rest of the day just for my hair. You won't be disappointed if Alice takes care of you. read more

This one is usually pretty solid as far as GreatClips go. But if they rush it, which they sometimes do, they'll screw it up. Even someone who has done your cut a dozen times in a row. read more

They are super kid friendly here. While I was waiting one of the lovely stylists was having a conversation with a child and making them feel special. I didn't have to wait long at all and they did just what I wanted. They are also very clean here too. Carol is great!! read more

Being new to atlanta made me have to research different places to get a good hair cut ! I read alot of the reviews about this place and some were negative some we good ! Well my experience was great the service was excellent there wasn't a long wait and my hair stylists was very nice ! I will be returning here !!!! :-) read more

I've been coming here for the last 3 years with all of my family (My mother, myself, and my 2 boys). We love it! I have had most of the stylists at one point or another. Micheal is my favorite!! He's VERY good and my hair cut always comes out just the way it's supposed to. He is really SO good that I can't believe that he is at a "lower level" salon like Great Clips. I think the only reason he stays is because at a higher end salon, he might get more money, but he'd have less time at home with his family (gotta love a family man!) Micheal always remembers my family and has from the beginning, and since they write down the things you do and don't like in the computer, your haircut is consistent every time! My mother loves to get Robert to cut her hair when we go. He's so nice and always listens to her about the things she wants where as several hair stylists at OTHER places tend to ignore the customer some and do what they think might look best. Alice has cut my 1 year olds hair AND my 5 year olds hair a time or two and always does an amazing job. I don't see any reason to pay for Salon Red Kids down the street when they cost 3 times as much and, to be honest, the one time I went there the stylist spent so much time talking to another stylist about her date last night that she cut my boys hair crooked and I had to fix it when I got home. O.o I really love this Great Clips. It is a great place to go. Clean, friendly, and the stylists are really great! All Great Clips aren't created equal, THIS is the one to go to! TIP: If you go, park in the garage just a few stores down on the SAME side of the street. It is paid parking but the Great Clips validates so you don't even have to pay to park! Awesome place! read more

actually it is a MINUS 5 STAR WORST EVER haircut ... I say WORST EVER. I have short hair and wear glasses, so after the haircut i took on my glasses and saw DISASTER CUT ... way too short and uneven, not even an existing style, my 5 ears old niece would do a better job ... will NEVER EVER go back there ... AWFUL razor cut by Asian Woman ... it looks like I just had chemo ... it will take at least 4 months before i can get my old style spiky cut back ... good thing it is winter and hat weather. read more

Alice did a wonderful job cutting my hair from super long to shoulder length. It looks and feels great.

Ive been going here for almost 8 years now. Get your hair cut by Mike if he is there. Apparently he now typically only works mournings.

Mike is awesome!! He cuts my husband's and son's hair. We have been going here for over a year and are never disappointed.

My children love to get their hair cut here. I've taken them to salons but they really enjoy the hairstylists here. We've been using Alice for years and we just met Sharie. Sharie was super nice so we will start using her as well. read more

This place is great. I love how it is right in Downtown Decatur, so I can walk there whenever I like from work or home. I always see Carol and she is the best! I have been to other places in the past and been unimpressed. When I found Carol at Great Clips in Decatur, I really lucked out! Plus you can sign in online before you arrive. read more

Diana cut my hair and did a super job! I get lots of compliments on my haircut. She is as particular as any stylist at a salon that charges five times as much! read more

Oh my goodness. Robert is the best. He listened to what I wanted, fixed a very, very, very bad cut I'd received about a month before my visit and understood that I have horrible cowlicks in my hair that can't be cut normally. I've tried many places since moving to this area - even the $54 for a trim ones - and this is the one that makes me happy. Thanks! read more

I haven't been to a Great Clips since I was probably 10 years old, but I came on recommendation from a friend who swears by them and the fact that my husband ONLY gets his hair cut here. I was really, so impressed with my service, the friendliness, and the quality of the haircut. I never, ever, buy products from a salon, but Robert (who cut my hair) was so helpful in giving me suggestions on how to be lazy with my hair and still look cute that I caved and bought some mousse to be able to try what he suggested. Very happy! Will definitely return. Robert is awesome! read more

The staff is very nice, all are great they treat you really well as a family. They serve you well. This location is really close to my heart. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. read more

I've been going here for a couple of years now and always get great haircuts for a fraction of the price I was paying. Whatever you do, don't go to Mike. He cuts my hair, does an EXCELLENT job, and I don't want him to get too busy to cut mine. read more

Recently moved to Decatur, GA from the Buckhead area. Used to get my haircut in Buckhead at a fancy salon for $40+ and honestly after giving Great Clips a chance (2 visits thus far), I wish I would been going here from day one. Staff is friendly, professional, and is a better haircut than a fancy salon. read more

Great spot. I've been coming for seven years and Mike and carol are the best! Highly recommend it! Good for kids too!

I went a few weeks and had Sharie do my hair, in my honest opinion she is amazing. It is very hard to find someone who can perform a good fade here, but she is very skilled in many different style of haircuts. I would highly recommend this location and her as your next barber. read more

Great haircuts at great prices! All staff is friendly, the wait times are minimal and parking is free and convenient (in the parking deck).

Liars & dishonest!!! This is not directly related to their hairstylists but I bought a washer/dryer from this Great Clips owner Mike and he lied about it working properly(it was broken, to be exact!), he guaranteed it would work & said he would refund my money if it did not work. 2 Days later when it stopped working properly, he refused a refund saying I broke it while transporting it. If they will lie about this, what else will they lie about??? read more
