So when I needed work done I went on yelp and searched the top reviews for every auto body shop in Phoenix. After calling around to numerous I got an average price range and time frame. I asked a friend and he recommend Greasers so I decided to give them a ring. I got Chris on the line and I could tell immediately that he was looking out for the most cost effective solution and the best option for me. Not only did he say he could get it done in a third of the time but he quoted me about 40% less than other auto shops. Great service, great quality, and great experience! I was in a bind financially and went to Greasers because I believed Chris wouldn't treat me wrong. I was wrong! He used cheap parts in my car, after I had requested ONLY Honda parts be used. I have a 2007 Honda Accord. I needed struts and a new AC blower and an actuator. Less than a year after the struts were put on they needed to be replaced, why because he used cheap parts. He replaced them because it was less than n a year however they are now making noise 2 years later again cheap parts were used. It has been 3 years 2 months since the AC blower was replaced and is now broken. The original lasted 10 years! The actuator is also not working correctly it gets stuck and won't transfer / split the air like it supposed to do. Chris told me that it's not his problem parts break. This is not the first time he has done this to me. I believed the lies the first time with the struts. Now I have to spend the money to fix his mess up! His mechanics got grease all over my back seat and up on the head liner and nothing was done to rectify that mess either. I strongly recommend not going to Greasers, unless if course you want cheap parts and your interior to get ruined. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the interior. Lesson learned photograph everything. read more

I had brought my vehicle in purchased from a used car dealer within the 30 day warranty to have a thermostat replaced. Had no issues with the shop, Chris was friendly and the work seemed to have been done right. I decided to go back to Greaser's 6 months later when I had a fuel leak in the fuel pump assembly. The gas was leaking horribly in the location of pump, under my backseat. Chris offered to install a used, warrantied part I bought from LKQ parts for $100 labor charge. He was able to fit me in late Friday afternoon before I was to drive to Flagstaff for the weekend. I brought in the part to his mechanic, Chris was not in the shop at the time. Gave to mechanic, and he was done with the install of the fuel pump assembly in nearly 15 minutes. I was told an hour worth of labor, but figured it had to be easy. Drove to Flagstaff. by Saturday night, it was evident there was still a fuel leak. Upon filling the tank, it leaked out and outside the car, leaving a puddle. When I contacted Chris Monday morning to see if he could offer suggestions or help, he didn't seem to want to assist. I had to visit nearly 6 shops up in Flagstaff, to determine what was wrong. I finally had it repaired Tuesday afternoon that the O ring that came with the fuel assembly from LKQ was NOT installed with it, causing the leak. I called Chris back, and asked if he would help with the repair cost up here or reimburse me the $100 labor charge. He stated that he "did me a favor" by fitting me in and only charging the $100. He did me a favor by me paying him CASH and not writing a ticket for the job. I would assume this is his way of not making him liable. His mechanic that installed the part is no longer there - apparently I was his last repair done at Greaser's that day.... I have had lost wages for two days, cost of leaking fuel, additional hotel charges and other expenses to have this repaired by the VW dealership in town. Findlay VW took care of me, and actually charged me a total of $86 for the part that wasn't installed by Greaser's AND for the labor charge... It is discerning that my experiences with used auto repair shops are mostly out for the money, not concerned more about Customer Service and Satisfaction and doing things the right way. Business Ethics are everything, so are referrals...HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. read more

Greasers was great again. I needed some minor repairs done and they finally answered my message and called me back. One problem that I did have was the owner Chris wasn't there and nobody would answer the phone. I was going to send my daughter to ask them to call me when all of the sudden Chris, the mechanic, called. If I had a complaint it is that they won't answer the phone. I mean if you are in business you need to answer the phone. I understand it's hard to do your work and answer the phone but there is a hands feee gadget that is sold so people can do both to an extent. I like Greasers!! read more

A couple of weeks back my daughter was in Tempe and her car overheated and her friend recommended Greasers which was within towing distance. Temperature of over 110 in the Phoenix shade that day. Great service, Chris stayed past closing to install a special order part. Working great with no follow-up problems. So, when the ac on my Avalon stopped working, I traveled the extra distance hoping for another good experience. I had good results again, they took the care in the morning and out that afternoon. Chris is the most honest and reliable mechanic I've ever had to deal with in my 50 plus years of driving. I drive a 93 olds cutlass and of course problems start to occur with age.
