I was also unsure if I was due for an oil change or not. I came to grease monkey for a simple oil change and refill on my fluids. I also asked for them to check my breaks and man do I regret it. Their customer service was okay but their actually service on my vehicle was poor. After about an hour wait I was told they had completed my service but when I drove away I could hear a noise coming from my car and and my steering wheel was pulling left. I had to turn around and go right back to the shop for them to tell me one of their certified technicians did not put my tire on correctly. I doubt they checked all four tires because when I left for the second time I could hear another noise coming from my rear tire and since that day my car has had issues starting. You could not pay me to go back to them and they need to take down that certified mechanics sign because clearly they will hire anyone off the streets. read more

Came here to get a new AC compressor for my car. Two weeks later the compressor starts blowing hot air. We go on Sunday and ask if they could fix it and the AC mechanic wasn't there. We were told he'd be there anytime within the week and that we could just walk in. I drive there on Tuesday 8:30 (my car's AC is blowing hot air and it's 100 degrees out so I didn't want to drive in the afternoon), when I get there the AC mechanic wasn't gonna be there till 10 am. So annoying. Don't tell me to come anytime only to find out that I have to drive back and forth coz he's not there. read more

I came here a few months ago to get a diagnostic done on my non-functional A/C, as well as an oil & filter change. I had a budget to work with and figured it might be enough, or it might not be anywhere near enough. Well, turns out for $800 I was able to get a lot done (A/C could have cost up to $1600.) They diagnosed that to be the blower motor so only $150 for that. I kept getting more little things done and to fix everything non-cosmetic of concern was about $600. Then because I knew I was traveling this summer and was going to need a new battery sooner rather than later, I would. Finally got to $790 and was amazed that fixed about four or five separate issues and prevented one more. I had been a loyal customer to Grease monkey for years but the last visit I had with them was truly my last! Rewind time March 2020 I had my vehicle towed to them cheapest thing was to check the Spark plugs which needed to be replaced according to them. But you could tell by the sound of the engine it's wasn't a misfire. Truck was still not running....checked the coil pack...still not running...the first thing that should have been done was a compression test to check the engine but instead they assumed it was the transmission (keep in mind there was no codes for the tranny) they said you need a new tranny...nope took my vehicle to another shop ran the compression test and my engine was blown...not the tranny. Several hundred dollars spent at grease monkey to fix and diagnose a problem. the most obvious thing would have been to run the compression test but for what ever reason they skipped that process. They seem rushed and don't take the time like they used to. read more

Terrible! I brought my 6.7 diesel truck there to get an oil and filter change. After draining the oil and removing the filter, the technician informed me they did not have the oil needed for my truck. I had to wait for the local parts house to bring the proper oil to them. Finally, they replaced my oil and I paid $174.83 for the service. I only had oil and a filter, no additional parts or service. I thought the price was a little high and let them know about it. I got into my truck and drove away. 2 miles down the road I stopped at a store and when I returned to my vehicle, noticed a puddle of oil under it. I immediately drove back to GM and they had just closed and only the manager was still there. He told me to come back tomorrow! He refused to put the vehicle over the pit and see where the oil was coming from. I finally convinced him to crawl under the truck and tell me what was leaking since he wouldn't drive it in. Since I refused to leave until the leak was addressed, he called another of their locations and i had to wait for a manager and a mechanic to arrive. They put the vehicle in the shop and discovered the oil filter was leaking. I was told that wasn't uncommon because they see quite a few defective filters. They replaced the filter and said the leak was fixed. I drove the truck home and parked it over a piece of clean cardboard. After sitting for an hour there was a softball sized puddle of oil under the truck. I called the store the next day and was told they would refund my money. After 2 weeks, and multiple calls to the store, I received a refund. It should be noted that the oil used to top off the truck following the initial leak was not the correct viscosity. It took 5 quarts to refill the truck. I will NEVER go to GM again and would recommend no one else go there. read more

I took my 2001 ford explorer sport on Saturday to get the transmission fluid, filter, and gasket replaced. I tried to explain the issue with my car to the technician to help him understand what I need. So they did job and was happy with customer service and the way treat people's cars. I still have the issue with my car they money I spent gone for nothing. I called the store to get an idea about what they have done, the person answered the phone was talking about fluid leak, I didn't say I have fluid leak. I tried to explain about the transmission valve Body gasket, which the problem with transmission and told him I can send a video to explain the issue. I always hit a Grease Monkey for oil changes in my truck when I can because they are always fast, clean and fairly priced. They also have coffee, water and cookies in the waiting room. (Bonus!)
