Oscar and his team are absolutely fantastic! Easy place to start is their incredibly smooth style of communication. Oscars energy not over the phone but in person is consistent and just in communication but by his work standard. I hate to say I didn't catch he's coworkers name but Oscar and him both (older gentleman) were very eager to break down the problems with the car in depth in a way that made sense. Professionalism is everything and they've got it. Constantly reached out with in depth updates and explanations to the issues occurring with the car and additionally explain why those things happen in the first place rather than just tell you the problem and quote you. They sent very clear videos and imagery of the inspection on my vehicle and another one with a diagnosis and breakdown of the failing part and more! Oscar and his team everything they could to help with my budget and were WAY too generous as far as helping me out with my car Services: Clutch and pressure plate replaced, Flywheel resurfaced Spark plug wires replaced(cleared misfire) Bellhousing clutch lever replaced Clutch fork replaced. All this work was completed for close to $900 which is a crazy good price considering all that needed done. The car now drives stronger than before and shifts beautifully with absolutely no sounds. These guys are clean and fast and my new permanent go to for all me needs. You be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't come here! Oscar and his team are the best! ~Fizzbin read more

Grease Monkey Garage - Getting towed in - Auto Repair Near Me - El Cajon, California

Found Grease Monkey Garage by accident and it was meant to be. I have been working on my 93 mustang and it needed the AC fixed. I had several estimates from other shops and Oscar was half of the charge of all of those estimates. He is such a great guy, very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I like that he talked to me about my repairs so that I knew exactly the plan. The repair is perfect and I will be returning for future work. Thanks Grease Monkey Garage read more

Couldn't be happier with my first time experience at Grease Monkey Garage. I really do appreciate Oscar's transparency with pricing and for providing a detailed breakdown of what he recommended for my car. He created a YouTube video explaining everything about my car in a way that, I (non-mechanic), could understand. Greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Oscar and the Grease Monkey Garage for any future mechanical work :) Thank you!!! read more

This business is run by knowledgeable people. Better, it is run by honest people. As we all look for straight shooting mechanics, I have found one. Since I was a new customer, the owner did a video inspection on my truck and uploaded it to YouTube. He covered all the major components under the vehicle, pointing out important components showing a thorough understanding of his subject. He then covered the engine compartment and the parts that he would be servicing, explaining why they needed attention. As one of the services he was performing had to do with an oil leak, at the conclusion of the work, he powerwashed the underside of the vehicle so future leaks can be identified. This is a professional shop. I'm extremely happy with the results. read more

Oscar at Grease Monkey garage is the best! I needed the 100k mile tune up and service on my Ford Explorer. I recommend Greese Monkey Oscar Cisneros highly, especially from a single woman aspect. He always describes everything he is doing on your vehicle and actually shows you the repair he is performing. You can trust the quality of his work. read more

I would like to recommend Oscar Cisneros and his brother at Grease Monkey Garage here in El Cajon. I'm 64 years old and can count on one hand how many times I've taken my car to a garage. I've always done everything myself but have come to the realization that I'm getting too old for this stuff. I bought him my car for front brakes and rotors and also an oil change. They did an excellent job and were able to get me in quickly. I completely trust them to service my car in the future. Thank you! read more

We've been dealing with an intermittent on/off/ flashing check engine light on our son's F150. We were struggling to find an honest mechanic with extensive knowledge of Ford vehicles. We found Oscar through a social media post, and after reading reviews, I gave Oscar a call. From the very first interaction, Oscar was professional, friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his diagnostic and was able to quickly identify the issue and provided me with a very fair quote to fix it. He communicates, he is honest, he is personable and everything we've been looking for in a mechanic. He has a passion for what he does and it is evident in his work. Needless to say, Oscar will be our go to mechanic from now on. Thank you so much!! read more

My wife and I had a five star experience with Grease Monkey Garage. Oscar is a great guy to deal with and does top-notch work. The car rides smooth, brakes well with no noise, and the vibrations in the steering are gone. I will definitely be hiring him for more auto work!!! THANK YOU OSCAR!!! read more

After selling our Truck shortly after Oscar came and tuned it up, My husband's work called him last minute to commute all the way to Victorville just as the temperature is climbing into triple digits. We called Oscar yesterday to get our car's AC charged. He came right over did a test and showed us with the special lighting that our compressor was leaking. 445pm Tuesday he's contacting suppliers during COVID19 Chaos to get a compressor for us. He had one shipped down from San Bernadino and today (Wednesday) after 5pm he showed up and went to work in our driveway in 90 degree weather. He brought his own umbrella and all the necessary equipment. Tomorrow's drive into the desert will be in the comfort of cool AC! Thank you SO much! Oscar is legit! Long and short of it--why call anyone else? Oscar is the man to trust with your car emergencies even during COVID chaos. read more

The owner of this garage, Oscar, is one of the most honest, capable, and hard working men you will ever meet. I had a not so good experience with Grease Monkey Mobile Mechanic. I had messaged the company, spoke with Oscar and set up am appointment for Monday 10/27/19 for after his first call. I had given him my address prior to that. I live in Descanso. We exchanged numbers and he said he would let me know when he is on his way Monday. Cool, sounds good. Monday comes and goes and no word from Oscar. No communication at all. Today- 10/31/19, I hit him up asking what happened you totally stood me up? His response was a generic apology and that if I still need service he can try to get to me next week. My simple response was "nope". As a business owner myself and specifically someone who is the mechanical trades service industry I know what it takes to do good business and this definitely is not good business. I get it, people space out, forget, or you simply realized you dont want to drive out to Descan. Whatever the case may be, ya mess up and there's consequences like this poor yelp review. read more

I was looking for a mechanic to fix my A/C and happened to find Oscar (Grease Monkey) on Yelp. Eventhough he had only 1 review at the time, his pre-sales provided a very good first impression. In summary: * Answered all of my many questions promptly and provided honest and feedbacks and suggestions. * Best price for A/C needs. His price was about half of other shops I was quoted from. And his cost for diagnostics carries toward the repair. * Very professional and very knowledgeable. He definitely knows cars and knows what he's doing. * Reliable and on-time. * Rolled up with his huge mobile truck and carries all the essential tools needed for the job, unlike some mobile mechanic with a pickup truck that I used before. If and when I need any repair work done on my car, Oscar will be my go to guy, and I won't hesitate to recommend him to my families and friends. read more

My family and I never really had a "go to" mechanic for our vehicles. After hearing about Oscar and the great work he does we decided to give him a shot. After he diagnosed and fixed our car on the first visit I was surprised of how fast and and cheap $$ he had our car back on the road. He is very good at finding out what is wrong with the car and will not have you throwing money at parts that "might" fix the car like other mechanics that we have dealt with in the past. I am always recommending Grease Monkey to everyone I know because of his honesty, trustworthiness and his high level of skill. Thank you Oscar! read more

Was in search of an auto shop that was affordable. Had to get our brakes and rotors replaced. They were in really bad shape. Stumbled upon Oscar's service and requested for a quote and some info. His response time was very quick and provided me the info I needed. His rates were very reasonable (parts and labor). I immediately booked him. The best part was he his mobile and was able to work on our car at our residence. We had the option of buying the parts or having him purchase them for us. He did such an AWESOME job! It was literally like bringing our vehicle to the auto shop but you were actually able to converse and interact with the mechanic. His level of experience was excellent. Weeks after we had our car worked on we noticed a slight issue with a squeaky sound coming from the front brakes. Minor issue for the brand of brakes we chose was probably a bad batch. Informed Oscar of this and he got on it right away. He went the EXTRA MILE to test everything out, gave us options to either replace the brakes with new ones (warranty was included) or upgrade to better brand. I decided to go with same brand and just have them replaced. But Oscar went ahead and upgraded them to the higher brand for better quality and life of the parts. He didn't have to do that but he he did! Oscar was very professional and reliable. By far one of the best mechanics we've come across in a long time! Actually never had this type of service from any auto shop. I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS CAR WORK. read more
